Technoblade was a smart man. He passed all of his classes with flying colors, he could pick up any type of game and know, almost instantly, how to play, and he could ninety-nine times out of one hundred, he could look at someone, spend all of his time with someone, and know, how they felt about him.

This was not one of those ninety-nine times.

As he held eye contact with Dream, an avalanche of emotions crashed down on him, the primary one being confusion. He had known Dream for six years now. He had lived with him for eight months! How had he not known about this? It came as a complete shock to Techno. There was also disbelief scattered into his emotions as well. Not only because he was struggling to believe that his best friend liked him, but also because Dream was very drunk. Drunk Dream did not always say the truth. He had learned that long ago when Dream had gotten drunk at his place and proceeded to tell him a story about bees that Techno had fully believed until the next morning.

"You liked me?" he finally asked after several minutes of staring, the music drowning out all other noise.

"Like. I like you. Present tense. I tried to hide it for years," Dream drawled out the word, "but since I moved in with you, it's become harder and harder to hide. I hope it's okay."

Technoblade didn't answer, causing Dream to continue in his drunken state. "That's why I was so mad at you telling my co-worker that. I don't even like women. Not like that at least."

Techno nodded slowly, before standing up. "I'm going to go find Sapnap and George and tell them we're leaving. We should go home. You are far too drunk to be here."

The English major didn't wait for a response, darting out of the room to find Dream's friends, simply wanting them to know that he was indeed safe. He found Sapnap first, the man playing a game of beer pong. As he explained that he was taking Dream home because he was just too drunk, the man nodded, accepting the answer with no doubt. Techno ran back to where he had left Dream to find the man starting to doze off on the couch.

"Dream, Dream wake up," he shook his awake gently. "Let's get you home."

Dream nodded, stumbling to his feet. "Why are we going home? The party has just begun!" his words came out very slurred.

"I know it did buddy, but trust me. Going home right now is what's best for us all."

The two went out to the car, well, Techno carried a drunk Dream to the car. Dream passed out almost instantly in the passenger seat, much to Technoblade's relief. Dealing with him on the thirty-minute drive home did not seem ideal at all so sleeping was a welcome more than anything. The drive went uneventfully, Techno not even bothering to wake up Dream and just opting to carry him inside instead. The panic of the situation was suddenly gone as soon as Dream was in his room.

Sitting down on the couch, head falling into his hands, Techno let out a deep breath. Dream, or at least drunk Dream, liked him. These were feeling he didn't even know how to begin sorting out. Technoblade had known he was pansexual for a long time and had never bothered to hide it from anyone. The other thing that Dream had confessed tonight, suddenly hit him head-on. Dream had been kicked out because of him.

Swallowing hard, an intense feeling of guilt swept over Techno, having trouble fathoming the thought of Dream living on the street for so many years because of him. And yet, here the blonde was, still living with him and being his best friend after all those years of trauma. Shaking his head, Techno went to lie down, unable to think straight after this night, stress and anxiety filling him.

He woke up to a clattering sound of a door and a voice going, "shit, shit, shit."

As Techno climbed out of bed to see what the racket was, a glance at the time answered just that. It was a Monday morning and it was currently 11:42 am. That was nearly three hours later than Dream was supposed to be at work. Techno was sure that Dream was panicking not only over the fact that he had drastically overslept but also due to the crude joke he had made to his co-worker.

He opened the door to see Dream pulling on his shoes frantically as he talked on the phone. "I know Jenny. I am so sorry. I didn't mean to oversleep I'll be there as soon as I can be. Yes, I know about Maria and what my friend said. I am so sorry about that. He said it as a joke. I'm not about to push myself onto her ever. I know, I'm sorry, I'll tell him not to do it again. Okay. I'm sorry. I'll see you soon. Bye."

Technoblade and Dream met eyes as he said goodbye, the blonde's eyes filling with distress as the phone fell onto the couch. Dream tore his eyes aware to finish tying his shoe, sinking into his hoody even more. Whilst suffering from a terrible hangover, Dream remembered exactly what had gone on the night before and he knew that this was a conversation that would have to wait for later.

"I can't talk right now," he forced out, voice hoarse. "I have to go to work, but I'll be back later."

"Dream…" the pinkette began but was cut off.

"Not now Techno. I'll be back soon."

The blonde-haired man tore out of the living room, the front door slamming behind him. Technoblade inhaled deeply before deciding to let the topic be for now. He needed a hot shower and a good cup of coffee after last night anyways. Putting a pot onto brew, he headed towards the bathroom, ready to let his cares wash down the drain for at least a few minutes, knowing Dream would be gone for a few hours still.

This did however cause him a great surprise when the man was walking in the door only an hour later, tears on his cheeks and a box in his hands. Dream didn't say anything, opting to give Techno a sealed envelope and heading straight to his room. Techno opened the envelope, surprised to see the house key and a check in there. Whilst Dream had been paying a small rent fee to be kind and for the sake of sound mind, Techno knew that $3,000 was far too much.

"Dream, are you okay?" he asked, finding the man sorting through some items and placing them in the box.

"Yeah. I'm fine Techno. There's the next few months' rent plus payback for everything you got me over the last few months. Best to not be in debt to anyone when you lose your job," Dream muttered, voice sounding dead. "I am so sorry about last night. I never meant to tell you that."

"You lost your job? God damnit, I know that kind of my fault. I'm sorry Dream. And you aren't in debt to me. You never have been and never will be."

"Just take it Techno. I'll be out by tonight. I'm so sorry. I fucked up."

Technoblade placed a gentle hand on his friend's shoulder, feeling him tense under the touch. "Dream… You aren't going anywhere. And you didn't fuck up. We all have those drunk moments we regret. You have no reason to be sorry either. Sure, it was a surprise, but I don't hate you for it."

"You have every right to tell me to leave. It's unacceptable."

"I don't know if you have somehow forgotten this fact, but guess what Dream. I'm pan. You know this. Everyone knows this. Where in the world did you get the idea that you being gay around me would be unacceptable?"

"That's not it!" Dream exclaimed, turning suddenly. "It's that I like you. I meant it Techno. I like you. I was kicked out of my home because my parent's found a fucking cheesy love letter to you that I was going to give you later that week, but they burned it! And now, I've lost my job and my best friend and yet another home because of it!"

The strong face Dream was attempting to pull of seemed to suddenly break, tears spilling down his cheeks. He frantically tried to wipe them away but failed. Techno sat down on the bed next to him, wrapping his arms around the man. Dream flinched under the touch, but after a moment, relaxed into his grip, wishing that these moments didn't happen in times like these.

"I never wanted to lose you as a friend. That's why I worked so hard to hide it and to push it down. You've been so kind to me from the day that I met you and I value you more as a friend than anything else. I would rather live on the streets and starve for the rest of my life than to not have you in my life Techno," he muttered.

The pinkette didn't exactly know how to respond. Whilst he had slowly felt something changing about their relationship, he had never identified it as a romantical feeling. Even if he truly didn't like Dream like that, he would never kick his friend to the curb because of it.

"Look, I'm not going to lie," Techno did his best to break his monotone voice and show compassion. "It's a bit of a shock. I need some time to breathe and understand, but I'm not kicking you out. I'm not that much of an asshole. As for the job… I'm sorry Dream. I know it's partially my fault."

"I don't even care about the job that much…"

"That's fair. Tell you what. Why don't we just go to the living room, take a breather, and play some Minecraft? Just you, me, and few endermen to ruin our careers."

Dream gave a soft laugh and nodded, wiping away the remaining tears. "That sounds like a good idea."

The two practically fell into their assigned spots in the living room, watching the Xbox loading screen with some serotonin. The sound of rather peaceful Minecraft music filled the room, distracting them from the issues that had recently arisen. Maybe everything would be okay.

Hello my friends! Let me just say, I was very excited to get these next few chapters out. When I published late last week, I sat down and wrote two whole chapters in a matter of two days. So hopefully, you'll enjoy reading this, just as much as I enjoyed writing it. Thank you for reading and please review!

Best Regards,
