Opening notes: This chapter will takes place in the canon timeline

"You better be hurry, Medusa will make her move soon"

Kanata wasn't understand. Why does Dre mentioning about Medusa? Did the youngest of Gorgon sisters will come to haunt Sumihiko's life? And how Medusa is related to Sumihiko's current condition? He need a convincing answer for this.

Kanata just stared at the fried egg on the table blankly. He felt like he wasn't in the mood to finish his own breakfast.

"Kanata?"

Kanata noticed his mother was calling him. She stared at him with a full of concern.

"Are you okay, son?" his mother asked with worried expression.

"I'm fine. I'm...just having a bad dream last night" Kanata lied.

"You better eat your pancake now. You can't be late to school" his mother said.

"Yes, mom" Kanata nodded as he grabbed a fork.

"Beep! Beep!"

His mother's phone was ringing. She just received a call from her friend.

"Hello?" his mother answered the call.

Kanata's mind became more frustrated than ever. But he was far from raising the white flag. He must find his little brother in that unfathomable realm, no matter what happens.

Better he finish his breakfast now. He need to go to school after this.

As Kanata already left for school, two shadowy humanoid figures with glowing white eyes appeared out of sudden inside Sumihiko's bedroom, stared together at the unconscious boy. They are the agents who overseeing the dwellers inside the Realm of Hypnos.

"Time is running short. He must make his choice immediately" Shadow Figure 1 said.

"Yes. If this boy stayed too long in our realm, he'll unable to return to the world of the living forever" Shadow Figure 2 added.

"Speaking of this boy, his brother is struggling to enter the realm, but the denizens of the Realm of Hades will prevent anyone from reaching the real entrance" Shadow Figure 1 referred to the zombies. "They denounced every living beings as intruders regardless of their real intentions"

"Believe it or not, his brother has a very strong will. If he's deemed worthy by Lord Hypnos himself, then he will have the chance to bring his brother back to their homeworld" Shadow Figure 2 stated.

"But they must be careful from now, several wicked souls were trying to escape from the purgatory" Shadow Figure 1 warned. "Their hearts still filled by anger and disgust of the past"

"That's why we need to keep our eyes on them" Shadow Figure 2 stated. "It's a shame when the damned ones are still unrepentant of their old sins"

"We can't let them terrorise the living again. More innocent lives will be in danger if they succeeded" Shadow Figure 1 said.

"Indeed" Shadow Figure 2 nodded.

The entities could heard several footsteps from outside of Sumihiko's bedroom.

"Looks like it's time for us to go, shall we?" Shadow Figure 1 suggested.

The two figures quickly teleported away from Sumihiko's bedroom.

The gate actually serves as one of the entrance to the Hell from the Realm of Hypnos. This gate however was closed for thousand of years, thus prevented any wicked souls to wreck havoc inside the realm.

And Muzan felt very lucky as he just stumbled upon this gate. Ge really wants to leave this horrible place and return to the world of living again.

"An exit? I hope someone will open this gate for me" Muzan muttered.

Muzan slowly arose from the ground.

"I'll show them that I can free myself from death!" Muzan boasted.

"Free yourself from the death?"

Muzan heard an unknown voice from nowhere.

"Who...who are you!?" Muzan growled.

"Who am I?"

The mysterious voice laughed.

"ANSWER ME!" Muzan insisted furiously.

"I'm the future" the voice answered.

"The future?" Muzan was curious.

"Yes...I'm the future" the voice repeated. "And you'll get your freedom from here soon"

Muzan slowly chuckled as it slowly turned into a maniacal laughter.

"Finally! My desire to live again will become true!" Muzan was excited. "And soon, I'll continue what was left behind! And destroy anyone who stands in my way!"

Sadly, little did he knew was the voice was merely deceiving him. Something unfortunate was coming.
