As dawn broke the next morning, Ciel opened her sapphire eyes and breathed in a feeling that she hadn't known in a very long time, if she ever had at all…...satisfaction.

She sighed quietly as she stretched herself languidly, covered by the soft sheets.

Lady Phantomhive's memories of the previous evening came flooding back when she felt the weight behind her on the feather bed.

Ciel blinked as she dared to lift her head and look.

No, it hadn't been a dream.

She wasn't in her room, she wasn't in her bed, and she wasn't alone.

"Good morning, my lady." Sebastian greeted her with a handsome smile as he gazed fondly at her. His amber eyes glowed with admiration and the smug pride that an alpha only knew after spending a pleasant night with one such as Ciel.

"Good morning." Ciel frigidly replied.

Sebastian expected her to leap from his bed and dash out of his room with a crimson blush on her cheeks, just like all the other omegas.

He was quite surprised when Ciel chose instead to pull the blankets over herself and cuddle against him.

"I beg your pardon, my lady, but may I ask if you intend to nest in my bed?" Sebastian inquired with a dark chuckle.

"And what if I do?" Ciel replied contentedly as her blue eyes scanned over Sebastian's face, "I hired you to entertain me, Mr. Michaelis. Although, I don't recall telling you exactly how I expected you to accomplish that."

"You can call me 'Sebastian'." The alpha corrected Ciel with a smirk as he curled behind her and pulled her close to his chest.

Ciel was amazed at how natural the contact felt, as if Sebastian was her…...her…..

"I must bemoan the fact that after such a splendid evening, I haven't quite recovered my senses, my lady~." Sebastian purred into Ciel's ear.

Ciel could hear the smirk in his voice.

While she struggled to think rationally, a wave of warmth blanketed her as Sebastian's hands began to gently glide over her pale body, covered only by the thin cotton of her chemise, no longer hidden by shadows or rushed by the urgency of her own desires.

The bluenette was thrilled to lie there in the arms of a curious alpha.

She swallowed in anticipation as Sebastian's velvety fingertips ghosted gingerly over her small breasts.

"I find it difficult to believe that a man of your vigor could be rattled so easily." Ciel whispered as Sebastian's fingertips delved past her curves and onto her trim waist before they skimmed across the outlines of her ribs.

"Tell me, my lady, do you intend to come and visit me again when your desire for company is reignited?" Sebastian asked, ignoring Ciel's remark.

Lady Phantomhive gasped as Sebastian's elegant fingers reached down and slipped under the hem of her chemise to brush along her bare skin.

"I…...I…." Ciel stammered as Sebastian leaned in and nibbled across her pale, delicate throat.

Mr. Michaelis leisurely took his time to explore the bluenette in his grasp.

During his wanderings, his fingers glided over the few, silvery scars that Ciel had acquired from carrying Elizabeth, just underneath her navel.

"You've birthed pups~." Sebastian declared with a smirk.

Fertility was attractive to any alpha, and knowing that his porcelain lady was capable of bearing children sent a shock of eager excitement rippling through Sebastian, although he had never desired a family of his own.

"A…..a daughter, that's all." Ciel whimpered as Sebastian traced gentle circles over her soft skin.

A silence fell between them as Ciel grappled with the reality that she needed to abandon her fantasy and leave.

"Tell me your name, my lady, so that in case we ever meet again, I'll know how to address you~." Sebastian whispered.

"Ciel Phantomhive….." Ciel quietly answered.

Her breath hitched as she considered how much she was gambling to reveal her true identity in such a state to such a person at such a place, but Sebastian made her feel so dangerously comfortable.

Would it even matter that he knew who she was?

Did he even know who she was?

Ciel smirked arrogantly to herself until Sebastian purred in amusement as he smiled and said, "How very honored I am, then, that the daughter of an Earl deemed me worthy of spending such sweet moments with her."

Ciel's cheeks flushed scarlet red as she rolled over onto her back and stared up at Sebastian with wide eyes.

"Don't worry, Lady Phantomhive~." Sebastian reassured her with a grin. It was obvious that the look of anxious bewilderment on her face amused him, "I won't gossip, you can trust me. I am a gentleman, after all"

Ciel drew in a breath.

Her chest heaved as she frowned in thought.

For some reason, some wild, inexplicable reason, she believed that Sebastian would keep his word and hold his silence about their rendezvous.

"Thank you…..Sebastian." Ciel answered.

Sebastian purred softly when he heard his name fall from Ciel's rosy, plump lips.

He leaned into her touch when she lifted a hand and glided a finger along the alpha's high cheekbone, as if she were wanting to discover if he was real or not.

Too soon, far too soon, Ciel frowned as she sat up in the bed.

She had dallied long enough, the dawn had already come and the sun was regrettably high in the sky.

Ciel knew that Snake was surely outside with the carriage waiting on his willful mistress to finally exit the establishment and put an end to her own charade.

Sebastian frowned as he watched Ciel clutch the sheets up to her chest while a miserable look crossed her pale face as if she were frightened and wanting to hide from something.

Ciel nearly forgot Sebastian was still there as she thought….

Snake was waiting to take her back to the depressing, unending dismalness of which her life in high society consisted.

What a terrifying, nightmarish truth that was to the bluenette!

"My lady?" Sebastian asked gently.

His velvet voice shattered the pregnant silence.

Ciel's head snapped towards Sebastian to give him her attention once more.

"Are you alright?" Sebastian asked with a frown of genuine worry, "Will you be safe when you leave this place today?"

"That's the problem, Mr. Michaelis." Ciel said with a sigh as she let the sheets fall from her hand.

Slowly, she rose from the bed to bravely face the world to which she held no desire to return.

Sebastian watched in fascination as Ciel walked over to the window, bare, and fearlessly peered out over the street.

She was arrogantly confident that no one would see her from a distance.

With the sunlight glinting off of her pale skin and her sapphire eyes sparkling from a night of pleasant company and restorative rest, Sebastian held his breath as she looked over at him and spoke decidedly, "I'll be too safe when I leave this place today. I'm afraid that my existence on this earth is shockingly similar to that of a caged bird."

"Please, my lady," Sebastian implored her with a smile as he sat up in the bed and let Ciel steal another glance at his exposed chest, lined with slender muscles, "Call me Sebastian."

"Sebastian." Ciel whispered.

As she looked at him with her watery eyes, his face softened and he wished that he could take her into his arms, flee his room with her, and-

"Mr. Michaelis!" An unwelcome voice shouted as a violent knocking sounded on Sebastian's door, "Mr. Michaelis! Are you in there?! Do you still have that omega with you?! There's an odd man downstairs who's demanding to have her back! He's dressed in rags, but I don't like the look in his eyes!"

Sebastian and Ciel exchanged a glance before he scowled at her in silent accusation.

Had his charming lady's spouse dared to follow her?

Was that spouse intent on punishing the poor, unhappy bluenette?

Sebastian stiffened his back and prepared to dress, walk downstairs, and promptly flatten-

"That'll be my footman." Ciel nodded at Sebastian. She watched the angry jealousy fall from his face as she explained, "I asked him to come for me at dawn. It's well past that hour now! I'm not sure what I'll do to avoid being seen on the street."

Sebastian looked at Ciel's grand, embellished dress lying discarded on one of the chairs in his room and he raised an eyebrow.

"If you'll allow me the pleasure, my lady, I believe that I can assist you with a viable means of escape." Sebastian said to Ciel with a sly smirk.

Ciel blinked back at him curiously and watched Sebastian stand from the bed with a confident grin as he asked, "If I didn't maintain my lady's privacy, what kind of alpha would I be~?"

Some time later, two ragamuffins stepped out of that strange shop and walked down the street in badly mismatched clothes.

Sebastian had generously given Ciel one of his shirts, a suit jacket, a heavy cap under which she hid her unusual hair, and a pair of his trousers, which covered her shiny, black shoes.

Her dress and accessories had been stuffed into a sack that Snake carried on his back as they made their way down the street.

Disguised by Sebastian's clothes, Ciel could have been easily mistaken for a lost cabin boy or perhaps a careless youth, but not the daughter of an Earl.

No one paid Snake and Ciel any attention as they crossed the street and boarded the nondescript, commoner's carriage that the odd Phantomhive footman had managed to secure.

No one noticed as that carriage pulled away from the dingy atmosphere of London in pursuit of the picturesque countryside where Phantomhive manor sat waiting.

No one noticed, except for Sebastian, who watched from the window in his room as the vehicle that held his darling omega left him behind.

When Ciel arrived back at her home, she was distraught to find that a doctor had been called to her residence and Tanaka was lying flat on his back in bed while the physician hastily tended him.

Back at the gentleman's shop, the smiling man went to ask Sebastian to entertain another new customer, a fine, blonde lady, with an ample bosom and a deep coin purse.

To the smiling man's dismay, Sebastian just shook his head in refusal and uttered the words that the shop proprietor had always feared hearing from him…..

"I resign."
