Ciel wasn't the least bit bothered by Edward's startlingly abrupt departure when he decided to keep his brief visit even briefer than his little family anticipated.

Sebastian stood in the kitchen assisting Baldroy with lunch preparations for the noble household that they served when he heard a horrible, woeful wail echo through the door.

"WWWWAAAA!"

"-AAAAAAAA!"

Sebastian and Baldroy exchanged a glance.

Without a word, Sebastian left the Phantomhive cook to manage on his own while he exited the kitchen to investigate.

The cry's volume was so great that Sebastian couldn't discern who it came from, mother or daughter.

As he approached the game room, determined to aid the noise's culprit, he narrowed his eyes.

If Ciel had returned from her bedroom and Lord Midford had lost his temper with her, then…..

Sebastian opened the door.

He glided into the game room with his teeth secretly grit and his heart racing, ready to intervene in whatever unsavory situation he encountered.

He relaxed his jaw and blinked when he found Ciel and little Elizabeth alone in the room.

"Stop your sobbing!" Ciel snapped at her daughter from where she sat in her chair, "I already said that I'll sit with you while you have your tea party with your dolls! There's nothing that I can do about it, Elizabeth! A man makes his own decisions. I'm certain that your father had business in London today. You're old enough to understand that he has more important things to do than play with you."

Sebastian knew that there was no love between Lord and Lady Midford, yet he still saw the clear evidence of Ciel's irritation in the tense look on her fair face.

The harsh words that she had spoken to her daughter in an attempt to toughen her gentle little girl did nothing to stop the child's tears.

Little Elizabeth stood in her frilly dress, with her blonde hair tumbling down as her sobs increased to such an extent that her entire body shook, "WWWWWWWAAAA!"

Although domestic violence did not appear to be their plight, Sebastian still found an opportunity to make himself a hero in the eyes of Ciel and her child.

"Pardon me, my ladies," Sebastian called out in his smooth voice as he made his presence known. Ciel and Elizabeth looked over as he laid a hand on his chest and went on, "I hope that you'll forgive my sudden intrusion, but I heard some awful weeping…..As the butler of this household, I took it upon myself to inquire if I may remedy the course of the distress?"

"S-Sebastian….." Elizabeth whimpered as she wiped at her eyes with one of her small hands.

Ciel was livid.

"See what you've done now!" She hissed at her daughter with a hateful scowl, "All that caterwauling has done nothing but interrupt the servants while they're trying to finish their work! Do you not want to eat, Elizabeth? Do you not want clean clothes? Your worthless crying won't bring your father back to you! Now mind what I say and HUSH!"

Ciel's angry words only made Elizabeth shriek in again in response.

"WWWWAAAA!"

Sebastian frowned as he watched his darling fail to comfort her daughter.

"Lady Elizabeth?" Sebastian called over the little girl's vocalized dismay, "...May I ask what's troubling you so?"

Ciel turned to glare at Sebastian as Elizabeth sniffled.

The Phantomhive butler held up a hand defensively and asked, "Perhaps I can soothe the youngest Phantomhive….If you'll give me the chance, mistress?"

Ciel looked very displeased, but she bit her tongue while little Elizabeth stared at Sebastian through her tears and whimpered, "S-Sebastian……..D-Daddy….M-My father, h-he said that h-he'd stay for my tea party today and…..and then he just….he just…..he left and I….I…..!"

As Elizabeth broke off into loud, heartbroken sobs again when she tried to discuss her father's abandonment, Ciel made a noise deep in her throat and impatiently crossed her arms.

"WWWAAAA!"

Sebastian ignored his lover for a moment as he walked over to little Elizabeth, knelt in front of her, and spoke quietly, "I'm very sorry, my lady, that your father couldn't linger for the occasion. Although, I wonder if you could find it in your heart to accept my attendance in his place?"

Lady Elizabeth's cries quieted as she looked at Sebastian and wiped her eyes.

Sebastian didn't notice from his position, but Ciel's scowl softened.

"Y-You want t-to….t-to come to my tea party, Sebastian?" Elizabeth asked with a frown.

"As long as your mother will allow it, I'd be most delighted, my lady." Sebastian said with a genuinely cordial smile. He nodded as politely at little Elizabeth as if he were addressing a queen.

Tiny Elizabeth immediately turned to gaze at her mother with wide, hopeful eyes as she asked, "M-Mummy, w-will you please let S-Sebastian come to my tea party?"

Ciel wore a firm frown on her face for a tense, lengthy moment.

Sebastian held his breath as he silently hoped that his secret lover would have mercy on her little girl.

Lady Elizabeth didn't seem to respond terribly well to gruffness.

An anxious silence filled the room before Ciel replied in a sigh of pure vexation, "...I suppose."

Lady Phantomhive-Midford kept her scowl for the remainder of the afternoon to hide the bright smile that threatened to creep across her lips as she watched her lover, er, butler, simulate the finest of tea parties with her small daughter.

Sebastian had even gone to the trouble of providing himself, Elizabeth, and her dolls with china cups, real tea, and an elegant, white tablecloth spread out on the floor that served as their make-believe table for the grand occasion.

Elizabeth's tears had vanished.

All evidence of her wounded feelings had been replaced with a smile in response to Sebastian's thoughtful kindness.

He chatted with his smallest charge and sipped his tea as if he were the most noble of gentlemen visiting a royal court.

Elizabeth believed that Sebastian must not really be a butler. She was certain that he had to be a prince in disguise, someone who could save her from her troubles, and a more than decent replacement for the fatherly affection that she craved so very badly.

As Ciel observed the tender way that Sebastian cared for her daughter, she found herself with the need to constantly bat away obscene fantasies.

Wouldn't it be grand if she and Edward had never married?

Sebastian would have become the new Lord Phantomhive.

His commoner status would have been erased with the stroke of a pen and a favor from the Queen.

While he played with Elizabeth in the floor, their younger children could have toddled nearby as Ciel held their newborn at her breast and-

As Ciel sat and watched, she noticed that her expression had grown too peaceful.

She remembered herself and her reality suddenly, which caused her to gnash her teeth and twist her face into a bitter grimace.

Ciel was a reasonable woman.

Such things, the products of her wild imagination, could not be and to dwell on them was a waste of time.

It wasn't true what they said, the wealthy did not always get what they wanted.

Sebastian was rewarded far more than any humble butler ever had been once Ciel managed to get him all to herself that evening in the privacy of her bedroom.

"Goodness, my lady….." Sebastian panted while Ciel rode him like a war stallion as her bottom slapped against his hips.

The servants' quarters and Elizabeth's room were far down the hallway.

If the others' sleeping chambers had been any closer, no one in Phantomhive manor would have had any rest that night.

When Sebastian attempted to squeeze the omega's thighs in his hands, Ciel slapped them away and shoved her breasts into his waiting palms.

The flushed look on her face made Sebastian smirk.

He had genuinely, innocently wanted to help little Elizabeth.

It hadn't even entered his mind earlier that day that her mother may commend his chivalrous efforts with such a sweet treat.

Regardless, he was certainly not one to refuse a gift and as he listened to Ciel's needy gasps while her release approached, a greedy grin crossed his lips.

Ciel leaned forward and arched her back as her body convulsed over Sebastian's.

He watched in fascination while her face contorted with pleasure.

As she continued her motions until she felt him spill within her, Sebastian's grin widened as he dreamed about what would happen if he accidentally assisted his darling with conceiving another child…….his child.

Sebastian couldn't hold back a groan as his seed spread inside Ciel while he considered what Edward may have to say if when he returned, his wife's belly had rounded with a pup that he had not fathered.

The idea made Sebastian's chest swell with pride.

Maybe then, neglectful Lord Midford would at least be inclined to notice the threat that he appeared to have overlooked.

Sebastian purred when Ciel leaned down and showed a surprising amount of loving gentleness as she placed a tender kiss on his waiting lips.

He sighed contentedly as she slipped off of him and into his arms to let him pull her in close for a cuddle.

Sebastian had learned an important lesson that day.

There were few faster ways to earn an invitation into an omega's bed than helping their pup.
