The newly spawned demons under Mitsuko fought with a newfound sense of vigour, savagery and resilience. The newly emerged warriors frightened the enemy frontlines with their monstrous appearance. However the they still had faith in their numbers to overwhelm them. Though that thinking did not help the frontlines. One warrior thrusted their spear into one of the demonic warriors in the stomach. Black blood escaped from the wound and the enemy was confident and happy with himself. Until he looked up to see a demonic grin with razor sharp teeth. He went from confident to terrified in an instant before he swings his axe, slicing their neck. They let go of their weapon before they crashed to the ground as they tried to hold their wound while their strength withered away. The warrior pulled out the spear from their stomach as a sense of agony was felt through their body. Their black blood pours out of their wound and groans before grinning sadistically and entering the fray once again.

Gyuki struck overhead with his massive club, the amalgamation blocked it with its polearm. As Gyuki kept doing it to try and overpower the amalgamation it instead punched him in the nose, forcing Gyuki to stagger backwards. The amalgamation roars threateningly before it lurched forward with a thrust from one of its trident ends. Gyuki stepped out of the way, forcing the trident to penetrate the wall firmly allowing Gyuki to strike without penalty as he swings his club again across the face of the amalgamation. The amalgamation staggered backwards as it started to drip golden blood from its mouth. The staggering however gave it enough momentum to remove the trident along with several bricks as its ripped out from the wall. The tip of the blade caught the back of Gyuki's shoulder. He grabbed the wound really quickly as a reflex, as he withdrew his hand, he saw his own black blood on his hand, along with one of the sides of the trident which is now stained, contrasting the bright teal blades.

Diamondback fought ferociously. He blocked an upcoming overhead strike with his shield, before thrusting his halberd deep in the enemy's torso. He withdrew the halberd and immediately raised it high and dropped it on another enemy lurching forward. The spikes penetrated the top of the skull, blood spurted out as soon as the halberd was dropped and raised back up. The enemy soldier's body went limp as it dropped to the ground instantly. He used his shield to knock an enemy on their back and immediately stabbed the enemy in his stomach on the ground before ripping the body open as he used his strength to strike at a charging enemy. The enemy soldier stopped and tried to block the attack with his spear. The wooden polearm was shattered into two with various splinters scattered in the winds. The spikes decorating the halberd, ripped through the enemy's flesh starting from the stomach and worked its way up to the chin. The fire still burns brightly around them though they seem to be dying down a little bit. He us

Meanwhile on top of the wall Mitsuko and her soldiers including LingQi keep the wall steady for now while the archers retreated down behind to continue firing their volleys overhead, with a few aiming at the enemies at the wall. Another volley of boulders fly overhead as Mitsuko and LingQi fight back to back against the attackers. Mitsuko released a swing wildly with her scythe arm, cleaving through several enemies through their torso. One enemy lunged and jumped up high with their sword pointing down. Mitsuko pointed the tip of her crescent blade up by rotating the serpents head and swung it upwards. She caught the leaping enemy as the tip penetrated the bottom of his neck and protruded out. He groaned in agony as he couldn't speak as blood was pouring out of his mouth and from the bottom of his neck as it drips down the already blood-stained scythe. She rotated her serpents head again and slammed it down at another enemy that was lunging towards her. The force from the slam broke both of their skulls as they collided.

Mitsuko then thrusted her sword at another enemy in front of her. Her sword dug deep into the enemy's torso before she swung it to her right side diagonally downwards. The force allowed Mitsuko's sword to escape the torso and cut through the leg of the enemy next to him, just above the knee. The first soldier dropped to their left as the sword escapes the body and the other enemy fell backwards as the sword sliced through the leg. As they screamed in Pain, Mitsuko quickly silenced them by striking the middle of his neck, causing him to gurgle blood. Mitsuko used the tip of the scythe to leap over the corpses and gave herself momentum to go for another stab attack. As the tip of the scythe was lifted from the ground from the rear, the corpse attached was also lifted temporarily before the tip of the crescent blade rips through the small amount of flesh hanging on to it. The soldier that was going to be the victim of the attack attempted to block the attack with his sword, however it split into two as the shaft the blade broke while Mitsuko's sword penetrated his torso.

Mitsuko used all her momentum with her serpent that was free to spin a straight 360 degrees and drop the scythe on an unsuspecting soldier who looked up horrified at what is going to happen to him. Mitsuko dropped down on this soldier who couldn't attempt to block or dodge in time and left a large gash on the right side of his face. The corpse immediately fell to the ground. She used her sword and raised it high with enough force to split the corpse vertically to the top of the head and attack downwards again. This time however she sliced between the neck and shoulder down to the waist, cleaving him in two. Mitsuko glanced to her right side to Gyuki and the amalgamation still duelling.

The amalgamation and Gyuki were interlocking and pushing each other while holding the amalgamations trident. Both using all the strength they can to hold each other off. However, the amalgamation raised their arms and pulled back allowing Gyuki to step forward in surprise of the change of momentum before the amalgamations shoved its whole body, shoulder first into Gyuki, slamming him against the wall. The amalgamation took some steps back before trying to thrust its halberd into Gyuki's throat. Gyuki quickly dropped his club and grabbed the two prongs of each side of the trident and stopped it. Although, there was another power struggle underway with Gyuki pinned down and Mitsuko was worried.

'Shit.' Mitsuko thought to herself internally as she tried to see what she could do to help but the amalgamation was stationed too far for her to jump on it and it was impossible for the amalgamation to notice her and swat her away like a fly. She gritted her teeth as swords, shields and spears clashed against each other all around her. She spotted the reserves being led by Gai Shu along with catapults in the rear and she hatched an idea

'LingQi, you mind holding the wall for a bit?' She looked at her puzzingly as she stabbed in the stomach with one of her polearms as he groans in agony.

'Why? Where are you going?'

'Just going to get some air-time. I'll be back in a bit.' Mitsuko said as she jumped of the wall and landed on her feet and bended her knees as she landed before sprinting.

'Hey what do you mean by that? Mitsuko!' LingQi called out as she pulled her weapon to immediately strike the enemy coming towards her. Slicing through their chest. Mitsuko ran to the rear guard towards the catapults and ran into Gai Shu keeping his men at bay in reserves. She stopped in front of him, despite his look of contempt at her.

'Hey, so you're going to need to help keep the top of the wall at bay for a while, I'll be back soon.' Mitsuko was about to continue her sprint until gai Shu responded.

'What makes you think we'll do what you say. You seem to have it under control.' Mitsuko didn't waste anytime as she went towards him quick and grabbed him by the throat with one of her snake jaws and lifted him high in the air. Most of the soldiers based were intimidated by Mitsuko and took a step back.

'Don't fucking start with me otherwise I'll kill you right now! You know the bandit queen would love nothing more and I'm willing to give her your head as a fucking trophy! I don't care what you think of me, say or think whatever you want from me but right now, in this moment your wife and future kid need your help because if they get descend down the walls and overwhelm the rest of our forces, these reserves are going to get overwhelmed aswell and then will take the palace and kill the bandit queen you understand me!? I'm not requesting your help because I want it and I think you're a great person or anything, I'm asking you because your bandit queen is counting on you to help her and you not helping me is going to kill her! Get over yourself and get that fact through your thick skull of yours!' Mitsuko yelled as she let go, dropping him to the ground. He looked up to see Mitsuko seething, releasing her frustration on him, he did not expect her to go that far to threaten him during the siege. At least with LingQi she ambushed him unexpectedly, a mistake he would not make again. Yet here he was, on the ground with Mitsuko hovering above him, berating him again. Though she seemed to have calm down as his men helped him up.

'Now I better leave you be. You have a wall to defend and I have an appointment with the sky. If you're lucky I won't come back.' Mitsuko smirked before she sprinted past them. Gai Shu wondered what she was talking about as he kept an eye on her as she was sprinting. Was she fleeing? It wouldn't make sense for her to berate him if that were to be the case.

The catapult crew had just finished reeling back the catapult as they heard a click in the primitive machine. A few of the crew were rolling one of the boulders to the catapult to load it. Although before they were able to lift it they heard Mitsuko yelling at them to stop. They looked at her with confusion as she approached them as fast as she could. Isn't she supposed to be on the wall? They thought to themselves. As she got closer to the catapult, she slowed down a bit before eventually stopping.

'Thanks, quick question. How far will this fling me?' They looked at each other with even more confusion before one of them responded.

'Erm, we adjusted this one to land just short beyond the wall to see if we can help with the immediate defence my lady.'

'Perfect, thanks.' Mitsuko expressed her gratitude before she jumped in the seat of the catapult.

'Ok go for it.' She stated casually as she adjusted to her temporary seat, while the crew seemed shocked.

'Wait, my lady! Are you sure that's a good idea!?' Another one asked, checking if she's sure about what she's doing, or even if she understands what she's doing.

'Yes, now hurry up and release!' Mitsuko ordered, getting annoyed at the delays. The crew looked at each other for a moment before eventually giving in to Mitsuko's demand. They released the catapult sending Mitsuko flying. She screamed with both excitement and a little fear as she did not anticipate just how fast she would go. Gai Shu and his troops could only watch as they saw Mitsuko fly.

'Is she mad!?' Gai Shu rhetorically questioned as Mitsuko passed over the wall. LingQi also saw this and was awestruck on this and became fearful for her safety.

'Mitsuko!' LingQi called out.

'Don't worry, you can do this next time.' Mitsuko stated as she grinned demonically while another boost of adrenaline ran through her veins, with the wind crashing against her face. As Gyuki and the amalgamation continue their power struggle Mitsuko surprises the amalgamation as she yelled flying towards her. It looked like Mitsuko was going to fly past it. However, Mitsuko used her scythe and extended as far as she could and sliced through part of the amalgamations face from the eye socket. Although, the momentum was too much for her to dig her scythe in and could only slice through the flesh. As the wound began to get more present in its face the amalgamation roars in pain as its golden blood drips from the wound down its cheek. It removed one of his hands from the trident to cover the wound. The scythe penetrating the cheek slowed down Mitsuko's momentum, though not enough to stop herself. After the scythe ran out of flesh to tear Mitsuko dropped and rolled onto the floor. She groaned as she stood up and found herself surrounded by Zhang Yans forces. She smiled sadistically as she got ready.

Gyuki saw Mitsuko saving his life, he was slightly ashamed of the fact he needed Mitsuko's help to deal with this amalgamation but that is quickly replaced with rage the knowledge that Mitsuko is in trouble and needed assistance. Now it was time for Gyuki to return the favour as he eyed up his prey. He moved the trident and roared monstrously before charging at the amalgamation. The amalgamation tried counter attacking however it could not as Gyuki got in too close too fast. Gyuki ducked his head down and gored the amalgamation in the torso with his tusk, causing the amalgamation to roar in anguish as more golden blood readily pours out of the wounds, drenching Gyuki's tusks in its blood. The amalgamation tries attacking Gyuki with its trident however Gyuki threw him with just his strength alone against the wall. Crushing another ladder full of enemy warriors while a few fell off thanks to the rumbling of the wall as the amalgamation made impact with it. The amalgamation roared again as it stood up with two open wounds in its torso, still able to fight.

Meanwhile LingQi saw this and could not just stay on the wall while Mitsuko was in danger. She saw an enemy start to climb over the ladder next to her. She stabbed him through the gut and as he coughed up blood, LingQi leapt on to them before they fully climbed over. The momentum of the leap was enough for the ladder to start slowly dropping, causing the climbers to scream as they looked back to see the ground being rapidly closer to them before it fell. Completely crushing several soldiers. As it landed LingQi rolled off the ladder and the body underneath and saw Mitsuko surrounded close to her. She quickly stood up and ran towards her as fast as she could. She would slice and cleave her way through enemies in her path on both sides using both of her polearms, cutting through limbs, torsos and heads. However as she got close she felt a burning sensation in her right wrist which caused her to let out a sharp and quick scream as she looked back towards it and was surprised to see a chain wrapped around it, she followed the chain with her eyes and Luna holding it with one hand and a sword in the other with a sadistic smirk on her face.

'Ahh hello there, you seem to be in a hurry. Why would a human like you rush to that serpent's aid? Demons I get, but you interest me.' Luna questioned. LingQi used one of her polearms to cut through the chains and rubbed the seemingly burnt wrist slightly. She was surprised when she examined it to find no burn mark on her wrist.

'That's none of your concern now get out of my way otherwise I'd be forced to slay you.' LingQi answered in a rushed manner. Luna found this amusing and interesting.

'Oh come on now I'm sure your serpent will be fine for a while. Let her have her fun, I'm sure spending some time with me wouldn't go awry, especially after a long time of boredom. Hopefully you put up a better fight than the cyclops demon.'

'Ahh, so you're the one that caused Dodomeki's wounds.' LingQi stated, tightening the grip of her weapons.

'Oh, he has a name? Do they all have one? How fascinating! I was told they were just treated like common soldiers and they never bothered to name themselves. However yes, that was me.' She chuckled, feeling proud of herself. Something about that didn't sit right with LingQi, the way that he talked about Dodomeki like he was just yet another victim to her tally. She caught herself thinking that and couldn't help but smirk as her pupils flickered black momentarily.

'Well, if that's the case, looks like it falls upon me to slay you for him.' Luna grinned widely at this.

'Oh my, a human trying to avenge a demon, how interesting! What have they done to you, to make you so…loyal?' She asked.

'Don't get the wrong idea, I couldn't care less about Dodomeki…however I owe him a favour and the fact I killed you of all people would be something I would lord over him for a long time. Besides Mitsuko should be happy to see your head on a pike!' LingQi yelled as she charged towards her. Luna obliged and lunged in as well, their blades clashed causing a deadlock between the two.

'We'll see about that human!'
