Dragon Warriors

in The Dragon Race

The Dragon Warriors are relaxing in the catacombs since their first semester at Kent State University ended.

Connor and Alicia were tending the dragons.

Prim is brushing Luu Luu's hair, and Maia is lying on the couch.

Kaguya is meditating, while Claudia and Grave are sparring.

Beardsley is dusting the shelves, while Celestine is reading a book. And Vault is reading the newspaper.

"Huh, the Potters win again," said Vault. "Mystery man beats the Dragon Warriors." he read, wait, what?

"Mystery man beats the Dragon Warriors?" Vault read the paper in shock. "Mystery man beats the Dragon Warriors?!" he yelled.

And this caught the Warriors' attention.

"What's wrong, Vault?" asked Connor.

"Read this," said Vault, and he gave Connor the paper.

"Mystery man beats the Dragon Warriors in a race." Connor read, but this also questioned the Warriors.

"Race? We didn't participate in any race?" said Alicia.

"And look at the date, November, 23rd that's today." he said.

Then Luu Luu checked the paper as well.

"It also says that this Mystery man lives in a junkyard," said Luu Luu.

"Well, Warriors, looks like we're gonna meet this, Mystery man," said Connor.

At the city junkyard, a bunch of reporters was in front of the place, because they also read the news. Then the Warriors came and landed at the junkyard.

"Where's that Mystery man! Let me at him! I'll show him! Where's that runt!" said Vault.

And the Warriors began searching for that Mystery man. They checked broken carts, piles of tires, and even old parade floats.

Then they spotted a homemade cottage, the Mystery man could be living in there. They head to the cottage and Vault banged the door.

"Hey Mystery man, come out of there!" Vault yelled as he banged the door. "Come on out of there Megaman, come on out!" he said. And the door opened and Vault is gonna give him a piece of his mind.

"Now listen you if you think you can beat us! You-" Vault paused, as it turns out, he was talking to a Skrill.

"Over here." Then Vault turned to the other side to give him a piece of his mind.

"Now if you think you can beat us!" Vault once again paused, because he was talking to no one.

"Down here,"

Then they looked at the Mystery man, and he's the same size as Connor. He wore black and brown armor that is coated with rubber, with tubes connected to it, and he is wearing a rubber helmet that is also connected with tubes.

"Yeah?" said the Mystery man.

"Now what's all this about you beating us," Connor began. "You don't know when we could beat you any day in a week. Y'know that don't ya," he said.

"Not yet," he said.

The Warriors were surprised to hear that, he doesn't know if he's gonna beat them.

"Well, we'll tell you what we will do, pal." Luu Luu spoked. "We'll bet you 50 bucks each if we can beat you." she said.

"You got a bet." said the Mystery man as he extended his arm, and Connor grabbed his hand and they shook hands.

Later, at the catacombs, the Warriors began to prep up their dragons for the race.

"I'd like to see that guy's face when we win," said Vault.

"But in the Book of Dragons says, that the Skrill can fire lightning and blend in with the dark clouds." said Beardsley.

"And when does he want to, race?" asked Celestine.

"When the sky begins to rain." Alicia answered.

"Yeah. Odd." said Maia.

In the city, the sky began to rain as the Mystery man said, the warriors were ready, but the Mystery man was acting lazy with the Skrill.

"Hey, pal," Grave called. "you all set?" he said.

"Yeah, I guess so. Ready Sparks." said the Mystery man.

The Warriors and the Mystery man are all set, just as the referee came.

"Ready... Set... Go!" Then they took off, the Warriors took first place, while the Mystery man is dead last.

"Ha! We're totally gonna win this bet." said Connor with a smile.

The Warriors went through a forest, they checked and noticed that the Mystery man is not behind them anymore. They thought he was still behind.

That is until...

"Hey, Warriors." the Mystery man waved, as he flew in front of them. But the Warriors flew passed him and they waved him back.

Suddenly, they've stopped and spotted the Mystery man. Connor began to babble.

"How did you get here, anyway!" Connor demanded.

"Oh, just flying." said the Mystery man.

But the Warriors didn't believe him, instead, they continue to fly, until they're far away from him.

"I can't figure this out, we didn't see him past us, then bingo!" said Vault before he snapped his fingers. "Just like that, and there he was in front of us," he said as he pointed at the Mystery man who is in front of them again.

Then to their shock, they spotted the Mystery man as he waved to them. Then the Warriors flew passed him again.

They flew far away until they made it to a waterfall.

"So long buddy!" Connor hollered.

"So long Warriors!" They turned and spotted the Mystery man who caught up with them again, as he waved at them, and he flew away.

But the Warriors aren't giving up, as they soon flew past him.

"They don't know what's going on," the Mystery man mocked.

Later, the Warriors took a break as they went through some crowded rocks, so the Mystery man won't come through.

"That oughta slow that guy down," said Connor, but the Mystery man took a break with them.

"Yep, that's a tough one." said the Mystery man.

"You said it." he said. But then they turned and spotted him waving at them and they shuddered in shock.

They got back on their dragons and flew far away from him.

They flew over a cliff and looked to see if they lost him.

"Lovely view isn't it?"

"Yeah, it is-" Maia paused, the Warriors turned and spotted him again as he waved at them, and they shuddered in shock.

The Warriors flew away from him.

They kept flying without looking back, and their dragons took everything they can as they sprinted.

And then, they reached the finish line and the dragons collapsed from exhaustion.

They got off of their dragons and looked back to see the Mystery man is still behind.

"Hey Warriors." they flinched, and they turned and saw the Mystery man in front of them. He beat them, just as the newspaper said. "What kept ya?" he said.

"Oh, you, you, you, speedy, speed dragon rider." said Connor, as he and the Warriors were furious. And Connor began to babble again.

"And how about my money." said the Mystery man.

Then the Warriors gave him $550 dollars in cash, and that's what the bet is.

"I hope you choke," said Connor, and they began to sit down and think of how that guy beat them.

"I don't know how he does it, I don't understand," said Vault.

"How did they flew so fast," Claudia questioned.

"Well, the Book of Dragons says that the Skrill can ride the lightning," said Maia. Then Prim started to thought of something.

"Hey, do you think he can ride the lightning as well," Prim suggested.

"Hey, you're right," said Connor. They turned and see that the Mystery man and Sparks are sharing a bottle of water, and due to his dark skin and pointed ears, he could be a dark elf, but his face isn't shown. "Hey! How dod you beat us?" he demanded.

Then the Mystery man put his helmet back on and faced the Warriors.

"Simple." the Mystery man began. "When I ride on Sparks his electric energy fuels my armor, and with the rubber coating I won't get electrocuted. And with this armor, I can ride the lightning as well," he explained. And he got on Sparks, then electrical energy began to flow inside the tubes.

"See ya, later." Then they took off at hypersonic speed as lightning came down.

"Come back here, you rat!" yelled Vault. "When I see him again. I'll chop off his head and skewer him-" Vault began to rave, as the Warriors watched the Mystery man's leaving in stupefication.

And they knew they haven't seen the last of him.
