The lights were swirling around them, but did not change, and the theme music which followed through their lives paused as they did, on a repeat loop before the action moved forward. There was, obviously, a problem which would take pausing to figure out. Bubblegum and Clover both had gotten off of their yoshis to take a good look at the creatures who had told them to stop what they were doing,
"Who are you?",asked Bubblegum.
The two creatures which were a goomba and a koopa. The goomba, the short armless brown creature aimed his angry face at them, huffing but standing still while Bubblegum spoke. He had obvious reason to be angry, he had so many things wrong with him starting with his eyebrows which never seemed to change from a glare.
The Koopa, who looked a lot like a common turtle but had way more anger issues. Being part of an evil army could do that to you. This koopa definitely did not look or act friendly.
"We are Boswer's minions and he has sent us to stop you from saving your parents!",shouted the goomba.
"We have been waiting for you on this spot! Bowser sent all of us out in pairs to be on the look out if you guys even try to rescue your parents!",shouted koopa.
The koopa and the goomba acted as though they were moving into a defensive stand. Neither one seemed too scary or threatening, however.
The theme music in the background thumped on repeat as the four of them looked at each other. Nobody moved.
Bubblegum and Clover were silent. You could almost hear them breathing. Then, they couldn't help but look at each other. A minute had passed and the two of them, started laughing,laughing to the point that they were grabbing their sides and almost doubled over,
"What's so funny?", the goomba looked around. This was embarrassing.
Both of them continued to laugh.
'"How tiny you guys are. Sorry, you're so cute.",said Clover.
She was still laughing and so was Bubblegum. The air sang with their voices.
Bubblegum tried to swallow and end her giggling, "If you were Bowser's minions, there should have been some kind of discussion. They never should have let you out like this..you guys should've been big as he is."
So that was it, the truth. Bubblegum and Clover watched the goomba and koopa tried to pump of their chests and act more tough and intimidating the way they had seen Bowser do it many times. They goomba and the koopa couldn't help but feel shocked, angry and annoyed how Clover and Bubblegum were both still were laughing,
"Stop laughing!", yelled the goomba.
The music thumped and stopped. Everyone kind of stood still. Then, the laughter broke loose again. Bubblegum and Clover continued laughing,
"Stop!",yelled the koopa.
Bubblegum and Clover continued to laugh and laugh. Suddenly the theme music changed, they looked over at the goomba and the koopa. The koopa was pacing back and forth. Then he stopped and made two fists and snorted in anger. With a flash, he pulled his whole body into his shell and threw himself at Bubblegum and Clover. He was trying to knock the both of them out, in that moment, both Bubblegum and Clover knew that they are going to be in a fight.
