I walked Rosalie to her class in silence, it was slightly uncomfortable but i was not in the mood to break it. When i dropped her off i took her hand and gave it a kiss, she scowled but i could see in her eyes she was pleased. I walked to my next class with a slight skip in my step.
Biology.
I walked in, gave my slip to the teacher and was told to sit next to Mr Cullen Edward, Alec's mate. 'cool'
"Hey" I said
"Why can't I read you?"
"huh" I said confused
"Why can't I read your mind?" he asks again
"Oh, I'm a shield. Even my father Aro cant read my mind" I say finally understanding what he meant
"I've never met a shield before. I like the silence. Alec's mind is also pretty quiet but I can hear him sometimes. I think we will become friends, I like not knowing what you're thinking" he said with a bright smile.
"Mr Cullen, Miss Swan would you care to share with the rest of the class what could possibly be so interesting that it couldn't wait till after my class?" said Mr Brandon
"Well sir I was just sharing with Mr Cullen just how fascinating the human cell is" I say with a straight face while Edward tried to hold in his laugh
"Do so on your own time Miss Swan, not while I'm teaching" says Mr Brandon
The class continues while Edward and I pass notes getting to know each other.
By the time class was over I Knew that he played the piano, likes jazz, hated his gift because he felt like he was intruding on people's private moments but also was grateful for it because it helped his family stay safe. He was depressed i could tell but he was handling well for a person stuck in his teens.
My next class went by slow
Next thing I know I'm in gym class surrounded by two Cullen's Emmett and Alice. They hyper ones.
Alice was excited that was in her class, Emmett was excited that was as human but had all the perks of being a Vamp, it was rather interesting being around these two. they managed to interact with the humans while keeping their distance. Play the sports without showing off their prowess, I saw Alice trip. A VAMPIRE trip. They were experienced in acting that was obvious I just didn't know how much. Overall gym was an interesting experience with the Cullen hyper twins.
We walked out of gym together and met up with the rest of the Cullen family by their car's Jane and Alec were there as well. Alec was just holding his mates hand not talking, Jane was awkwardly standing next to then waiting for Emmett and I. When we saw then i could see the relief on her face but it was nothing Emmett had learned to read yet so he lost some pep in his step when he saw her scowl.
"Emmett buddy, shes happy to see you" I said
"Really, are you sure? She looks like Rose whenever I break something" he replied sheepishly
"She's happy, just trust me" I reassured him
He walked over to her and put his arms around the small blond and picked her up. Her eyes grew wide at the movement and I laughed at her reaction. She was not used to people touching her out of happiness, as she was one half of the witch twins, most people tended to be aggressive towards them. They tend to shy away from physical touch unless you're trusted Emmett was just the person that Jane needed to help get her out of her shell.
We all drove over the the Cullen's house.
When we arrived we were greeted by their matriarch. Most people assumed that Carlisle was the head of the house, no he was the figure head but Esme really ran the show, or that's what father told me anyway. She welcomed us and asked us to state our business on her land. We explained that we were just here to experience some new things and we were not here to cause trouble, we also mentioned that we have already spoken to the wolf tribe about our presence here. After the formalities she invited me into the kitchen where she cooked for me. It was delicious, Rosalie kept hovering nearby making sure her mate was safe but she was fighting her instincts so she was not next to me. The rest of the evening went well eventually while Emmett and I were playing COD did Rosalie join us and sit near to me. She picked a car magazine, crossed her logs and let her foot glide up my shoulder in a teasing manner. I pretended not to notice but seriously this girl was going to be the death of me
