Chess Belle had dreams before, but nothing like the one she was experiencing. In a prairie field covered in a green hue, a group of people were gathered in a clump. She walked toward them, and passed out falling to the fluffy, gentle grass…

The vampire noble opened her eyes slowly, feeling groggy on the inside…as well as cold on the outside. She cleared her head to find herself completely nude and chained to a metal table in a dark room. There was a tray nearby filled with medical tools and syringes. Above her was some kind of machine with tanks and tubes. The rooms reeked of rot, blood, vomit, urine, and feces. This was clearly some kind of torture room.

Wait, what happened back in the City Hall? she thought worryingly, thinking about Horn Skuld, Crowley Eusford and Shinoa Squad. But most of all, she thought about Mitsuba Sangu, the one who reminded her of good and bad times from the past.

There was a clanking sound from the blast door as it slowly opened with a mechanical creek. Two men entered, wearing gas masks. Were they going to gas her with some kind of human drug? Like that was going to work. Chess heard to faint hissing noise of gas filling the room. When it finally filled the room, she was in a blissful daze. So much so that the men pried her mouth open and forced a tube down her throat. She, in her dull panic, felt it snake through her esophagus as she struggled to break her chains. They connected the feeding tube to the machine and started it up. Liquid went down the tube and into her mouth. The moment that liquid touched her mouth, she began seeing colors and hallucinations of sword-wielding women bathed in white light as they seemingly judged her. For what, she didn't know. But she wanted this nightmare to end.

Let me go! LET ME GO! LETMEGOLETMEGOLETMEGOLETMEGOLETMEGO…!

She hadn't been able to count the days due to the scheduled drugging and brainwashing they had going on. Her memories were becoming blurry. She couldn't tell fiction from reality as well as she used to. What she could understand was that they stop drugging her for one day, just so they could teach her tricks like a dog. A dog! The thought of it was so funny that she couldn't help but weakly laugh at the subject of becoming their pet dog. And yet, she couldn't help but obey her new masters. The drugs have done an effect on her mind and the…the…wait. Why was she here again?

"Angel 665, come here." Coming masters~ "We have a surprise for you."

The surprise was a human man in rags standing in a concrete pit. 665 leaned in to see what was so special about the human when her master pushed her into the pit. The man reeked of mud, sweat and—

He was dead in her arms, blood spewing out of the body. The taste of it was so addictive. How could she forget about it?! A vague thought came through her mind as 665 started to feel something. What was it? Her master ordered her to go to her cell. She did so without thinking. They chained her to the table. Did she do something wrong?

She got used to them forcing the feeding tube down her throat as they started drugging her again, like the many times they had done it. They made her feel good. Her masters have put her in her place, like a good girl.

"Merry Christmas, 665," said her master.

"AHHH!"

"YOU FUCKING IDIOT!"

"I'M SORRY!"

"SORRY AIN'T GONNA CUT IT, OLD MAN!"

At the building's inner courtyard were Krul Tepes and Ferid Bathory. The former chased the latter with a sword and a cattle prod in anger after learning that the now-timid noble agreed to let a group of vampires, led by Lest Karr, to investigate the disappearance of the Nineteenth Progenitor, Jesseka Fedan, who was in charge of expanding the Vampire Territories of North America. Krul was not very happy about it.

"Are you crazy?" Krul angrily yelled at the timid Ferid, having cornered him. "Why would you send them there? There was a reason why you should all be scared."

"Tell me, then. I don't know w-what you're upset about," the Seventh Progenitor stuttered nervously.

The shorter vampire glared at him for a few seconds, which felt like minutes. Then she sighed deeply, dropped her weapons to the ground and pinched her nose. It's not his fault. He doesn't know them like I do. After contemplating on what to do with her "friend", she settled for slapping him for lack of a better reason to calm down faster. But I still need to plan this out, and by then, it's probably too late…

Krul froze her thoughts when she realized, Shit! I forgot about the children and JIDA!

Then, in a second bout of realization, she screamed, "The Seraph! She's still in Japan and those fuckers are gonna get her! I'M THE IDIOT!"

Somewhere in an undisclosed location

Mitsuba woke up from the lights in the warehouse. Around her were beds of sleeping women. Eventually, one by one, the rest of the women woke up, got out of bed and changing to white sundresses. Mitsuba, after much heckling from the women, reluctantly followed suit. She stripped off her JIDA uniform off, and then slipped on the white sundress provided to her. The women were lined up based on age groups. The former JIDA soldier realized that of all the people she could see, the vast majority were westerners. Black, white, Hispanic, she was one of the very few Asians in the warehouse, with one being Chinese, three being Thai, and four being Korean. She was the only Japanese person so far.

A white man in a bulletproof vest, shirt, camo pants, and combat boots came in with a microphone and began yelling in to it. It hurt her ears a little, enough that she almost missed the message translated in different languages on four JumboTron screens. She found the one in Japanese and was appalled by the fact that as of now, they were slaves to this group who called themselves the "Blessed Ones."

She needed to talk to someone. But how? Has anyone ever heard of a group like them before?

Mitsuba couldn't take this lifestyle anymore! But she needed to comply. And if she complied, she'll be able to find information on the Blessed Ones. Apparently, she, and the many others they took, are somewhere in a large bunker in the former United States. The problem was that the bunker was so large and complex that you would need a map to not get lost. A lot of the people inside have seemingly given in to their new superiors. But she will not let them break her. She will find a way out.

"Sangu! You are needed at the kitchen!" She began sprinting to her destination to do her duties as a kitchen maid. She was NOT going to get whipped.

He was all alone. The vampires he was with were nobles and they were all dead. All except him. He was missing his little top hat, he was barefoot and his clothes were rags. All he could do was run. Run, run, run, run, run… Run until he reached the former Mexican border.

"Help me… Help me…"

Busan, Korea

6:00 PM

The Hyakuya Orphans, and the remains of Shinoa Squad, were still cleaning up their mess from the nearly-dead holiday party. They had escaped the clutches, two days ago, of the cult known as the Blessed Ones and were now living quiet, but vigil, lives in the abandoned high rises of Busan. Only Jonah, one of the members of Shinoa Squad, has not been able to relax. Blessed Ones. He had never heard of that group before. Even as a child, he had never heard of them. Based on what he knew so far, they were Americans, so he assumed they were a new kind of cult, similar to the American People's Human Protection. Unlike the APHP, however, the Blessed Ones were full of malign intent, moreso than the former. Something about them was completely off.

Jonah sensed someone coming. He picked his binoculars and saw two Progenitors. It was the Seventh Progenitor, Ferid Bathory, and the Third Progenitor, Krul Tepes.

"What are they doing here? What do they want?" He blinked for one moment, and they were no longer in his sights.

"We're here, dummy." Jonah turned around to see the two vampires behind him. Ferid looked shy for a Progenitor and Krul was looking a little peeved.

"What can we do for you?" he calmly asked, knowing that vampires would not come to humans for help, unless they had no choice. Knowing they were in Busan meant that something was going on.

The Bunker

Mitsuba was sold out. Someone had managed to learn about her plans to escape. Almost four years of planning, gaining information and finding allies was all for naught. As it was, she, and her friends, two English teen maids named Molly and Chrissy, a Hispanic security guard named Dillon, an Aboriginal Australian hunter named Willy, and an Irish cook named Cara, were sentenced to death for treason against their superiors. They were sent to a gladiator pit to entertain the Blessed Ones, fighting off other people who wanted to live while also fighting against their Angels. The Angels, from what Mitsuba had heard from veteran slaves, were originally humans who were drugged up and were monsters to be reckoned with. However, as of late, the human Angels were being replaced with vampires, drugging the latter with something called Valkyr, a psycho-stimulant from a failed US government project in the 2000s. It was said to be so addictive to vampires that they were given daily doses to satisfy them so they do not suffer through withdrawal.

Mitsuba and the others were given spears to defend themselves with for the cult members' entertainment. The fight was already going on and the white teens were the first to go, not even able to try and defend themselves. Dillon and Willy were doing better, able to coordinate with each other, helping one another and protecting Cara, who had not fought in battle before. Mitsuba got separated when a blood red blur knocked her away from her friends, leaving her breathless for a while. She looked up to try and see what hit her when she got pinned down by one of the Angels. She knew who it was.

"Belle?"

The Seventeenth Progenitor was naked, her large breasts dangling and swaying from trying to bite the short former JIDA soldier, who was holding her back by the neck. She had a crazed look in her red eyes, like she didn't care as long as she killed someone. Mitsuba knew she couldn't hold the vampire off for long.
