A/N: I'm back with a new chapter!

Please follow, review and most of all, enjoy!

SYLVIE

The next morning we're not on shift, so we head over to the 21st district with Boden, Herrmann, Severide, and Mouch - Mouch being there purely to see his wife.

Sure enough, once we walk through the doors of the precint, Mouch giddily runs over to Trudy who is talking to another cop.

She rolls her eyes at Mouch and yells at the officer, "O'Malley, shut your trap!"

I catch her eye and smile amusedly, while she winks at me.

Chief walks up to her desk and says, "We're here for Intelligence."

She nods at the doorway of the the locker room. "Here comes Skinny Britches'"

I laugh at Trudy and head the doorway where Officer Burgess emerges from.

She notices us and looks surprised. "Hey guys, how are you?"

"Good, thanks," Herrmann smiles at her. She smiles and motions to the stairwell leading up to the Intelligence unit. "Let's talk up there."

We follow Kim up the stairs and she scans her palm for us. "After you."

When we get up, we see everybody sitting at their respective desks. Jay notices us first. "Hey, man," He greets Casey and nods at the rest of us.

Voight comes out of his office and flips the crime board around, showing us what they've got until now. A photo of Aimos Dawson, and information on the robbery-homicide. Next to that is written 'Contacts -Gabriela Dawson -Antonio Dawson'

Adam stands up. "We need you guys to help us get in contact with them," He points at the pictures of Gabby and Antonio.

"Because they aren't in the US anymore, we're legally not allowed to ask them to help us with th case. But if you guys managed to get in contact with them, and convince them to come back..." Voight says, "Things will be a bit easier."

I frown, wondering if it really is a good idea. Reuniting with our former lovers? I remember that at one point Casey had even told Gabby that he wasn't going to interfere in my love life after Antonio and I broke up. And now we're together.
How ironic.

I nod at Voight. "Yes," I whisper determined. "If it can help us find this guy, we can't say no."

Matt looks over at me, shocked. "Are you sure, Sylvie?"

I nod more determined this time. "Yes. He killed a family. We can't let him slip right through our fingers because we have some personal issues. We're first responders; we help others, no matter what the cost."

Severide seems motivated by my short speech and pats me on the back. "I'm in."

Boden and Herrmann agree. "If you're 100% okay with it, than I'm in."

Casey looks over at me doubtfully. He seems to be thinking this through quite thoroughly. I raise my eyebrow at him, mentally begging him to see this logically, not just his emotions clouding his common sense.
He slowly nods his head. "Let's find this scumbag."

Voght shakes hands with Boden. "Go out, get something to eat and come back at 3:00," Voight instructs seriously.

After we finish we leave the 21st, Hailey and Kik decide to invite the girls to Abramo's Pizzeria. Hailey, Kim and I drive there together, meeting Stella, Violet, Nat, and, and Sarah Reese at the door.

"This is on me," Stella says cheerfully.

"I won't argue with that," Sarah jokes.

Nat grins, "Same here!"

Stella slaps Nat's head. "Alright, now I'm paying for everyone except for you guys," she tells Sarah and Nat. Nat drops her head and looks up at Stella like with puppy eyes.
Sarah just laughs outright.

Hailey smiles, mocking them. "You can get me three margarita pizzas and hawaiian!"

"Same goes for you, Upton," Stella winks. "C'mon."

We get inside and sit down at a table for seven. We ignore the menus, having come here a dozen times, and knowing each others's orders by heart. I raise my hand, motioning for a waiter.

"What can I get for you, ladies?" The waiter asks politely, having arrived at our table.

"Uh, I'll have two tuna pizzas, please," Hailey orders.

"Yeah, you're paying yourself, Upton," Stella sneers, her grin showing.

"Eh, that's fine," Hailey retorts.

The rest of us order except for Kim, who takes Hailey's second pizza, resulting in Stella paying for all of us.

"So, what did Halstead say?" Stella asks, the Diet Pepsi in her mouth bubbling over her lips. "Oops," she mutters, wiping it off.

"Well," I snort at Stella's messiness, "The Dawsons are coming back."

Stella spits the drink back into her cup. "And you and Casey are okay with that?!"

"Yeah," I shrug, "It's out job to help others, no matter the cost. I'm not going to let something like this, get in the way of me doing my job - helping the people of Chicago," I repeat what I said back in the precint.

"Brett's right. This Aimos guy; he's dangerous. He has priors, but a damn good lawyer, which got him out. But now, if we catch him, he's going down," Kim states dead serious.

"And this guy has no motive for doing this. He just enjoys it. There are no grudges; no targets. He just finds someone weak, and does his stuff. He's a terrorist," Hailey spits.

"That isn't unusual," Sarah remarks, "Many of these criminals have no reason to kill and rob. They just do it for the thrill, or because they find it funny. That's what makes them dangerous. Even if you're on good terms with everyone around you, if he sees you as a potential target, you're done."

"And between all of his crimes there are no connections. They aren't linked. He picks people out randomly," Kim adds grimly, taking a swig of her Fanta.

"We go on this case, we need to keep out eyes open," Violet speaks up, with a tough look in her eyes.

"Yeah," Hailey nod.

"Anyways, what we need your help for," I nod to Nat and Sarah. "Is that this guy is mentally unstable. Sarah, this is your field, you would be able to provide us with the reasoning behind his atttacks. Nat, this guy used to come in for regular check ups at Med, but ever since the last murder, he's gone off the grid.
Withdrew about 300 grand in cash, and he's a ghost. We will need you to get all information on him from his medical records. Also, check the security cams regularly; see if he's come in recently.
If you guys decide to join, you would be doing us all a huge favor, and catching a criminal in the process," I tell them. "You guys up to the challenge?"

A smiles grows slowly on Sarah face. "You bet," She looks excited, and definitely up to it.

Nat looks more like she's debating with herself, which is understandable, seeing as how she has a five-year-old son. "I do this, and I need you to promise me that I'll be safe. I can't leave Owen behind on his own," She says sadly.

Kim and Hailey share a look. All of us, including Nat, know that there aren't going to be any guarantees. Kim shrugs at Hailey, conveying something along the lines of, "She knows herself that she may not be, but screw it, because we really need her help."

"Yeah," Hailey nods at Nat, who looks somewhat relieved.

After lunch we head back to the district, Hailey scanning our way up to Intelligence. We are the last to arrive, and I see that Cruz, Otis, Ritter, Gallo, and Will Halstead have arrived.

Voight stands next to the crime board with folded arms and inspects everyone. His eyes skim over Violet, before landing back on her. She shifts uncomfortably under his eyes, but holds his gaze. "Who's this?" He asks.

"I'm Violet Lin-Mikami, 51's newest paramedic," She introduces herself, sticking out her hand. Voight eyes ot for a second before shaking it.

"I've never seen you before," he states bluntly. "Did you replace Gabriela Dawson?"

"Oh, hell no," I laugh. Voight looks over at me surprised.
"I had two partners before her - she's my third since Dawson," I tell him.

Violet nods. "I've just started working at 51, but I'm going to be just as much help to you as anyone else," she tells Voight, no hesitation in her voice.

I smile at her. This girl is tough as nails, and I don't doubt her for a second.

"Okay, then," Voight turns his attention back to the board. "If you can share Gabriela's information with us, because Antonio had everything erased from the records, we will give her a call."

"Sure thing, Sarge," Matt pulls out his phone and texts Voight the information. "Fair warning, I haven't spoke to her in a while, so this may not be valid anymore."

"Noted," Jay says. "I'll call her now."

We watch Jay head into Voight's office, on the phone. After a moment, we can see him speaking to whoever is on the other end of the line. Who is hopefully Gabby Dawson.

We wait outside for a few minutes, shuffling around anxiously, waiting for Jay to come out and tell us the good news. And sure enough, he hangs up and smiles at the rest of us through the glass.

He walks out. "Made it through to Gabby. She's on her way here with Antonio."

"Good," Voight says. "I'll message her the details, but what you all can know now, is that there CPD will be holding a gala in three days. I expect all of you to be there. There will be a formal dress code, so dress accordingly. I do not want any of you to meet the Dawsons before this gala, as this will cause unnecessary tension. You will be on your best behaviors, and I expect nothing less."

"Yes, Sarge," Kelly replies for the rest of us.

I face Matt and he sighs. I know that we are both thinking the same thing.

Three more days until the dam breaks.
