Twelve years later...The small Primid sat outside of the headmaster's office, waiting for whatever the head of the Smash Shelter had in store for her.
Ponny spent nearly half of her years inside the facility because Tabuu suggested he give her away.
Luckily, Galeem and Dharkon suggested they give her to a welcoming home, where she would be safe - unfortunately they were wrong on so many levels..
During her time here, the administrators did nothing but neglect her.
Ponny had been here since she was only small, and it was going to be her last time here. In the present day, she is currently 15 years old.
In the hallways of the shelter, the Primid sat on a soft-looking bench outside of the office.
Next to the door, she could hear the muffled voices of two adults. Were they talking about her, or her... condition?
As their voices died down a bit, she could also hear one final line uttered from the headmaster himself.
"Ponny has been with us since she was only a toddler," the Primid heard him say. "She seems like a bright kid to have, but I fear that she's... a little different."
Another voice stepped in, and it sounded as if the person speaking was angry.
Ponny held on tightly to Mrs. snugglefuss, burying her face into the cottony fur of the Eevee plushie. The yelling had died down and then the entire halls fell into silence.
The door to the office opened, revealing the older cambion with his glasses nearly falling off his face. Clearing his throat, he caught Ponny's attention.
"Ponny, dearest," he spoke, his voice shaking, "I would like you to meet someone, and he says he wants to take you in."
The small Primid turned her head towards the other adult in the office as he appeared through the doorway. He wore a gentle expression on his face, while holding onto his hat, revealing brown hair.
"This is Mr. Mario, a representative of Smash Kingdom. He tells me that there is a special someone he wanted to meet and take home, perhaps?"
Smiling sheepishly, Ponny hopped off from the bench and trotted over to the plumber, still clutching onto her Eevee plush. A sense of fear ran through her spine as she took note of the older man before her, but another sense came to her.
It was a sense of security, knowing that someone would come and take her away from this awful place.
"Hello, Ponny!" Mario said, giving off a warm smile. The Primid didn't answer, but only waved her hand. Confused, Mario turned to the cambion admin, but his only response was, "she can't talk."
"Okay. How much do I owe for the kid?" The red hero finally asked as he proceeded to grab Ponny by the armpits and balanced her on his arm.
"We don't sell our children from the shelter," the admin replied, waving his clawed hand dismissively. "We provide and do what is best for them. Although, we are accepting donations-"
But before he could finish, Mario was already out of the shelter. Being left alone in the hallway, the Cambion let out a disappointed sigh.
"For Everytime I mention our donation program," he muttered darkly.
