The next day had arrived as the small Primid made her way to her first class of the day, hoping everything goes well for her unlike last time. Her red eyes shining brilliantly she skipped about and noticed a few of the Melee fighters at their lockers who looked worried and on edge.

They all were whispering something underneath their breaths but as soon as they saw Ponny, they stopped dead and cleared their throats.

"Hey, kid," Bowser said as he hunched down to his unusual height. "Did you suspect anything lately?"

The small Primid shook her head as her response and then titled it in confusion.

What's that supposed to mean? she thought to herself as she clutched onto her backpack straps and looked up at the Koopa king.

Zelda, Mewtwo, and Ganondorf looked nervously as they turned their heads sideways and one of them was suspiciously folding a piece of paper inwards.

Catching her attention by the slightest sound of paper crumpling Ponny snapped her gaze at the Hylian princess and pointed at the object in her hand.

Zelda looked down and took notice of the goldenrod paper and unfolded it to give Ponny a closer look. The small Primid read the paper carefully and was taken aback.

This paper was something of upmost importance to them since Ponny's red eyes began flickering slowly at this.

As she read over the paper with pristine concentration, she just simply shrugged and looked up at the Melee fighters, hoping for an answer. Before anyone could respond, Falco opened his beak to utter a word.

"The upcoming dance is next week and we've been thinking about letting you come in and join the party, if you'd like," he said, twiddling his feathered fingers. He turned over to the lockers and chuckled nervously.

Ponny shifted her gaze to the other Melee fighters who happen to look nervous and read over the goldenrod paper once more. Popo pursed his lips while Nana chirped in scared agreement.

"Although it's pretty mandatory that we be by your side if we're bringing someone like... you," Zelda said in which Ganondorf nodded silently.

"Who knows? Maybe we'll be able to help Ponny socialize more!" Bowser stepped in, casually casting a sharp, toothy smile from the crowd of Melee fighters.

The small Primid looked on with confused glances given to each Melee fighter as she scanned the goldenrod paper once more.

Annual dance? She thought carefully. No one has ever invited me to these things. Why now, in fact?

She handed the paper back to Zelda and motioned her hands in ways that the others actually could read. Her red eyes flashing brilliantly, Ponny finished her sign language explanation with a simple wave of her hand.

"You think this is some ploy made by the Brawlers to humiliate you?" Ganondorf spoke up, his voice quivering fearfully.

"You have a point there, but in case if that ever happens, we'll be here for you!" He crossed his arms and made a heroic pose to signify his newfound loyalty to the small Primid. Ponny chuckled a bit and then asked through her actual voice, "time?"

"It's on Saturday at 6 to 10 o'clock," Falco replied, "so that'll give you enough time to show up in your Sunday best." The small Primid hiccuped a little in excitement and proceeded to skip along the hallway to her next class.

Meanwhile with the rest of the Melee Fighters, Young Link was trembling slightly beside Mewtwo. "Guys, should we tell her?" He asked, taking off his hat and revealing locks of blonde hair.

"About the dance?" Zelda replied quizzically.

"No! What she said to us through sign language! Could the Brawlers really be plotting to use this time wisely to humiliate Ponny in front of the entire Smash Kingdom?"

"We don't know for sure, kid," Roy said, karting his wheelchair to the center of the group. "Judging by what's been going on lately, I say you could be right." The red-haired swordfighter wheeled himself off to another class while the rest of the Melee fighters dispersed to their own.

Mr. Game and Watch, present when the whole conversation took place, looked down and started to think about how awful this whole situation is getting.

Hanging his head low, the 2D fighter began to ponder his thoughts carefully about all this. The only thing clouding his mind at this moment was his Primid friend - or most likely - his crush.

Ever since Ponny's stay at the Smash House, Game and Watch had been showing kindness and love to his friend.

However, he also harbored some deep, emotional connections and bonds with the small Primid. He began blushing, a vibrant hue of light pink shining across his face. Mr. Game and Watch started to smile, which created a long, open area on his flat face.

He walked off to his next class before he thought anymore about it, which could result in some unusual changes.

Ponny sat at her desk and worked away at her assignment as the Teacher in the front of the class was sitting at his desk, reading something from his phone. As the small Primid lovingly swayed herself innocently and smiled brightly, until she felt a light thump on her back.

Alerted, Ponny looked behind her to only see Pit and Wolf chuckling lightly at their usual mischief. The small Primid went back to her work, making her drift off in her own world, but even so, she continued thinking about what one of the Melee fighters have said.

Could the annual dance be holding some kind of awful scheme made by her bullies? Was Ganondorf right about this?

Who would know for sure? Maybe the Brawlers are taking a break, somehow? As Ponny had finished her schoolwork for the day, she got out her Eevee plush and hugged it tightly, her red eyes glowing faintly underneath its surface.

She smiled comfortingly, knowing full well that security will be coming her way.
