How to Make a Family

Blitzo and Loona sat in their hotel room, as Loona watching cartoons as Blitzo tried to go over how much money they had left. Sitting at two thousand souls, not anything to sneeze at, but at the rate they kept getting fast food, it wouldn't be long before Blitzo would need another job... Unfortunately Henroin wasn't too impressed. Sure, he got paid, but the less than stellar execution of the well... execution, left a lot to be desired so Blitzo wouldn't be getting anymore jobs from him for a good while.

"Stupid ass Spider..." Blitzo began mumbling as he finished recounting the cash, as a news report came on the TV while Loona stepped into the bathroom.

"New evidence has come to light in the murder of The Great Fizzarolli..."

While Blitzo was normally not interested in the news whatsoever, this piqued his curiosity.

"The incident, which left three dead, initially dubbed a suicide gone wrong..."

"Huh, the note worked? Hot damn!" Blitzo said, sitting down to watch the broadcast as it continued.

"The victim, born Fizz..." The broadcast continued as it showed an image of a far younger Fizzarolli, without make up, and... Blitzo felt his heart stop beating for a split second.

"No fucking way, it... I just thought he ditched... I..." Was all Blitzo could say, as Loona walked back in the room.

"New information has confirmed that the victim was actually of one of Fizarolli's numerous robotic duplicates, in this case, being a model designed to perfectly imitate the original for protective purposes. The real Fizzarolli is currently in the Lust Ring, having signed an exclusive contract with King Asmodeus Goetia..."

"That stupid news thing isn't over yet?!" Loona barked out, huffily throwing herself on the bed, looking up at the ceiling in utter frustration, groaning as Blitzo's phone rang. Grabbing his phone and seeing the ID on the call... It sent a shiver down his spine.

"Uh, Loona, I'll be right back, gotta take a work call, don't burn the room down." Blitzo said as he headed for the door, as Loona scoffed a bit.

"Only if I get bored." She responded, as Blitzo smirked a bit despite his current mood.

"That's my girl." He said as he stepped outside and answered, walking to the other end of the hotel to make sure Loona wouldn't hear.

"I pay ya to do a simple job, and we end up with three stiffs and ya got the real asshole I wanted dead on fuckin' high alert. I expect to be reimbursed for that little shit show. Ya better hope ya didn't blow that cash this fast, or else you're fucking ERASED!" Henroin ranted into the phone, hanging up before Blitzo could get a word out... And for the first time since he was in the orphanage... Blitzo felt absolute terror course through his body. Walking back to the room, he saw Loona sitting and watching the cartoons that had so rudely been interrupted by the news.

'You've got to find a way to beat this shit, Blitz... For her.' Blitzo thought as he began packing both his and Loona's bags.

"Uh... Blitz? What's going on?" Loona asked as Blitzo, her red eyes looking him over... She could tell something was seriously wrong. He looked stiff, his tail swishing about anxiously, and the way he was haphazardly throwing their clothes in the suitcases wasn't helping to inspire confidence. Letting out a long sigh, Blitzo moved closer to Loona.

"I just decided that... It's time to go meet your other Aunt."

The drive was a very silent one. Loona had been worried the entire trip, stealing glances at Blitzo as he was clearly lost in deep thought and the long drive was not helping his nerves or Loona's. Stopping at a red light, Blitzo finally noticed Loona looking at him.

"I'm sorry, not the most fun road trip right?" Blitzo asked, forcing out a smile which Loona knew right off. With a sigh, Blitzo decided to clear the air.

"Loony... There's been some... Problems that came up recently." Blitzo said as the light turned green and he continued driving. He could practically feel Loona's stomach churn at the phrasing, but he pressed on.

"It's got nothing to do with you, just... Some work stuff came up and I'm going to be working a lot more, so you'll be staying at Aunt Tilla's for a bit." The imp said as he glanced over at Loona, who seemed to just resign herself to it. Blitzo hated doing this, with every fiber of his being, but he knew if things went bad that Loona needed to be as far away as he could get her.

"And where are you going to stay?" She asked, so innocently it actually hurt to hear... But not more than the answer he was going to have to give.

"I'll be uh, at the hotel, for a little bit. It's just for a few days at most. Maybe a week." The imp said as he could feel the disappointment and hurt radiating off the hellpuppy next to him. He pushed the urge to tell her the truth down, she had been through so much the last thing she needed on her mind was the idea her adoptive father was going to be whacked by a mafioso of an overlord. He just had to keep telling himself this was going to work out.

They soon reached their destination, a fairly decently kept apartment building all things considered. Getting out and grabbing Loona's bag, Blitzo opened her door and tried to hold her hand though she pulled away. With a heavy sigh, Blitzo brought her up to Tilla's apartment. He knew he should have called, he knew it in his bones but... How could he do this over the phone? His beloved big sister and the first time he talks to her in over 2 years is him calling for a favor. He knew, logically anyway, showing up out of the blue was just as bad if not worse, but he hoped it could force him to ask what needed to be asked. As they got to her apartment, he rang the bell. He could hear the door unlock and an older Imp woman with long bushy hair opened the door. She gave a small smile, and looked down at her little brother.

"Hello Blitz." Tilla said as Blitzo let out the breath he didn't know he was holding.

"The O is... wait, how did-" Blitzo said, realizing he had been going by "Blitz" after he'd last seen her.

"Barbie called when you were staying with her, and that means this..." Tilla said as she bent down to look at Loona, who didn't meet her gaze.

"... Must be Loona. Hello sweetheart, my name's Tilla. It's nice to meet you finally." She continued as Loona pulled away a bit when Tilla held her hand out to touch her shoulder. Her smile faltering a bit, taking on a concerned look, Tilla stood back up and looked at Blitzo.

"I take it you need somewhere to stay?" She asked as Blitzo was lead into the apartment. Shaking his head as he handed Loona her bag, he bit his lip before speaking.

"Actually uh, it's Loona. If you could let her stay here for a week or so, that would be great. Some, stuff came up at work and I... I kinda need her to stay here." Blitzo said as Tilla turned towards Loona.

"Loona, honey, I have some snacks in the fridge, just pick out whatever you want. Your dad and I have something to discuss." Tilla said as Loona almost seemed to recoil at the mention of the word "dad" but wordlessly went to do as Tilla has said. With Loona in the kitchen, Tilla lead Blitzo outside the apartment and shut the door.

"What is going on Blitz?" Tilla asked as Blitzo, about to deflect, was cut off.

"If you don't tell me what is happening then she can't stay here, you know I know when you're lying." She said as Blitzo cursed to himself.

"Yeah you always could tell... I did a job for my boss, I got paid, and now... Now it turns out things went to fucking shit fast and he wants the money back. I want Loona here in case things get fucked, and I know this is a shitty thing to spring on you, and I-" Blitzo was cut off from his rambling by a tight hug.

"Just promise me, you'll be safe alright? Loona's got a home here, so do you if you need it, just... Just promise me you'll be alright." She asked as Blitzo hugged her back.

"... Alright." He said... They both knew it was a lie.

Blitzo had tried to say his goodbye to Loona... She didn't say anything. All she could see was another parental figure abandoning her... Blitzo knew it, he knew it, and he hated himself for it. As he drove his cellphone rang... It was Henroin. Blitzo hesitantly answered.

"My boys told me an interestin' bit of information... Gettin' yer little bitch of a kid on the outskirts? Smart... Won't help none, but smart. Oh and just as a warnin' I've had my guys watchin' ya since ya did the job, so those two lovebirds that're next to ya, the succubitch yer bonin', and the little hellbitch... They all stand to have some... Accidents... If ya try and worm yer way outta this. Ya got three days to get me my money back. After that... You go last."

As the call ended, Blitzo pulled over to the side of the road... And began to scream, tears flowing as he punched the steering wheel, before getting out to slam his fists on the side of his van, kicking and shouting.

"FUCK! FUCK! SHIT! FUCKING STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!" Blitzo raged as he slammed his head into the side of the van before sliding down to the ground and broke down into sobbing. Because of him, Loona, possibly Tilla too since she was with her, Verosika, and two people he had just barely met, were all going to die and there wasn't a single thing he could do about it.

Soon his cellphone rang again, it's incessant chiming causing him to finally answer it on the 10th ring.

"WHO THE FUCK IS THIS?!" He snapped into the phone as a familiar voice came through.

"This is Prince Stolas. You gave me this business card and now I am in need of your services. Meet me behind the overpass in Imp City at 6 o'clock. Come alone."

Before Blitzo could even say anything the Goetic Prince had hung up. He had just enough time to make it if he left now, and frankly... The prospect of getting hired by royalty, just might be what he could use right now.

"Just ask for 5,000 souls up front and do the job. Yeah, no biggie... I can handle that... Please, Lucifer let me be fucking able handle that."

IMP CITY OVERPASS. 6 O'CLOCK.

"I want this understood from the outset. If you even begin to think of betraying me, there will be dire consequences." Stolas said as Blitzo looked at him, trying to figure out why he had called him, but before he could open his mouth, Stolas began again.

"The reason I am choosing you for this, is because this is the work of one of the sinner overlord's who has taken umbrage with my running of things in their supposed oh what's the word.. Turf... Yes. As such he has kidnapped my daughter, and to ensure her safe return, I have opted to use subtler methods than breaking into his stronghold and unleashing my legions upon him. As an imp, it should be relatively easy for you to slip into his ranks undetected. The overlord's name is Henroin..." Stolas said as Blitzo began to tune him out as the possibilities soared, he could deal with this problem head on, keep Loona and everyone safe and still get paid...

"...return of my daughter is of the absolute importance-" Stolas continued on, but was cut off though as Blitzo spoke up.

"I work at his nightclub, I know he does back room shit, so she's probably there. I can scope it out, kill the guards, and if you happen to have access to a Holy weapon I can put a few rounds between his fucking eyes for you. No additional cost by the way... That one is personal for me." Blitzo said, his voice and face almost emotionless... Almost being the key word as he seemed to be forcing down a lot of repressed rage at the moment.

"It seems we have a deal then." Stolas extended his hand which Blitzo shook. Now he just needed to get ready... And he knew someone who could help. After all, she helped save Loona once already.

HIDEAWAY HOTEL

"Moxxie can ya get the door? I'm just gettin' in the shower, and I think it's the pizza!" Millie called out as Moxxie got up off the bed.

"Sure thing honey!" Moxxie said as he headed for the door, only to have it kicked in off its hinges knocking him across the room.

"Oh hey, where's your badass wife?" Blitzo asked.
