I decided to make Tina's codename Gossip, I just think it fits her so well :)
Chapter 7
All fifteen of the girls' alarm clocks rang simultaneously, signaling the start of their new semester. As the girls ate, brushed their teeth, packed away their last minute items into travel bags. Putting the bags at the door next to their luggage, the girls took a look around to make sure everything was neat.
"Okay, did anyone forget anything? Let's do one last check, then we'll wait outside for Mr. Soloman to pick us up," Macey said, and started to look through the different rooms of the cabin, making sure not one pillow was out of place. After checking through everything, Macey started to move her luggage out of the cabin onto the porch, and the others followed suit.
"How long do you think it's going to take for him to show up?" Bex asked, already bored.
"Well," Cammie said, "I'm going to assume now, considering it looks like the helicopter is coming our way," she finished, pointing into the sky. The familiar rumble of the helicopter filled everyone's ears, and the helicopter landed two minutes and fifteen seconds later.
Soloman waved the girls over, and they filed into the helicopter and sat down with their bags between their knees. The other suitcases were loaded in by Soloman, who had silently left the cockpit to grab the excess bags. Once the last bag was loaded in, he climbed back into the cockpit and handed out the dreaded blindfolds.
"Do we really have to wear these Mr. Soloman? We already know we're in Maine," Cammie said.
"Well, I suppose not. But only because you figured out where you were. In any case, this will be about a ten minute flight. We will land in a field outside Blackthorne Institute. It will be nearing dark. You will have about an hour before it is time for dinner, which is served at 7 pm. At that point, I will be at the front, introducing the exchange and the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women. We will all be connected through comms, and once I finish the word Women, you will do whatever crazy entrance you ladies have planned. Just try not to break too many things," he finished, and winked at us. "Buckle up girls, we're heading out now."
They did as he said, clicking their seat belts together and preparing themselves for the flight. The helicopter took off, heading northwest. It gave everyone an amazing view of the sunset, and just as it was near 6 pm, the chopper landed in the field. From what the girls could see, Blackthorne seemed like a prison. It didn't resemble Gallagher at all, and Bex had spotted some boys running drills in jumpsuits outside. While they were still observing their new surroundings, Soloman interrupted to quickly brief them before they got ready.
"As you may have noticed, Blackthorne is not like Gallagher. Its' cover is an institute for troubled boys. Inside the school however, it partially resembles Gallagher. The yellow jumpsuits you saw are used when students are running drills outside as punishment. I hope that I will not see you there. As I said previously, here are your comms units for your entrance. My codename is BlackHawk, and I assume that you all know yours already. I'll see you in the dining hall. Good luck ladies," he said, and walked back to the cockpit, taking off and leaving the girls in the grassy field.
"Well girls, let's get inside to our rooms, and set everything up," Cammie said, and started walking toward the dorms, using a map Liz had printed out earlier.
As they walked towards their dorms, the girls walked into the main hallway. Cammie immediately found a passage, which miraculously led to the hallway that held the girls' dorms. Each room had four beds, two desks, and an attached bathroom.
"Not too bad," Macey said, nodding her head as she looked around the rooms. "And they're all in the same section, so if we need anything we can just come down the hall."
"It does look like it's going to be a fun semester," Cammie replied. "Where should we set up our supplies?"
"Let's do our room, since we're already in here," Macey answered.
Cammie, Bex, Liz and Macey proceeded to pull out their disguises. The others brought out their black catsuits, and the makeup and hair supplies required. A half hour later, the final touches were being put on, ranging from the red lipstick and high heeled boots, to the contour for sharper jawlines and realistic men's wigs. Cammie managed to find another secret passage way which led to a hallway. She wandered down the hallway, passing a few of the boys' dorms. She finally found a storeroom that miraculously had spare uniforms inside. She grabbed four of them, checking the sizes, and ran back down the hallway to the passage. As she was heading into the passage, she caught a glimpse of someone staring at her. Cammie had gone into the passageway to fast, and wasn't able to garner a good enough description.
Erasing the encounter from her mind, she quickly walked back to the room and handed out the uniforms. The four were perfectly disguised as guys, and the only thing left was to integrate into the mass heading for dinner. Liz handed out the comms, and did a sound check. Once everything was good to go, the classmates started heading to their spots for the entrance.
The eleven girls not disguised as Blackthorne students headed outside, to their designated locations. Team Alpha consisted of Macey, Cammie, Bex, and Liz. They were the ground team. Team Beta was Tina, Kim, Anna, and Mick. The other teams, Charlie and Delta, consisted of the other girls on the exchange. Team Beta gathered on top of the glass ceiling, looking down into the dining hall. Team Charlie gathered at the side windows of the building, ready to smash them on Soloman's word. Team Delta dispersed between the ceiling and the windows, evening out the ratio.
"This is Chameleon, checking to make sure teams are in their places," Cammie whispered into the comms, making it look like she was whispering to Macey.
"This is Gossip, reporting that teams Charlie and Delta are in place, waiting on Blackhawks's word."
"Blackhawk, do you read us?" Cammie asked, pretending to sneeze.
"Blackhawk reading, loud and clear," Soloman responded, looking towards the entrance to the dining hall, and seeing Cammie, Macey, Bex, and Liz filter in, strategically spaced out.
"Ok girls, you know to wait for the word. Let's make these boys interested, shall we?" Cammie said, stifling a smirk. She headed towards a particularly boisterous group, and ended up spotting her target. 'Zach Goode,' she thought to herself. 'Can't wait to beat him at everything', she thought, and smiled to herself. She looked around the room, and spotted Macey sitting near some eighth graders. Looking to her right, she saw Liz and Bex, a couple rows apart. In the minutes that started to pass, Cammie noticed the hall start to quiet down, everyones' attention now fixated on the front of the hall. There, a podium rested near the teachers' table, and Cammie could see Mr. Soloman walk up to the podium. He tapped on the microphone, and began to speak.
"Hello gentlemen. Welcome back for another semester. I hope to see you all improve during this time before summer. However, another matter has come up. Our sister school has been working with Blackthorne to create a new experience for all of the students. The headmistress at the school and I have been figuring out how to create a way for our two schools to work together, and today, we have been lucky enough to create an exchange."
At this, the boys started looking around at each other, having pieced together that Gallagher was an all girls school.
Soloman cleared his throat, and continued on.
"Fifteen girls have come here for the semester, to learn alongside you boys, and experience teamwork. I expect you all to treat them kindly, and guide them through the ways of our school. They range from eighth graders to seniors, however most are sophomores. Please join me in welcoming the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women!"
The boys had just started clapping, when the ceiling suddenly imploded, causing glass shards to fall onto the boys' heads. In the next second, the side windows suddenly burst into pieces as well. Figures clad in black catsuits jumped through the sharp glass windows. They walked through the hall, commanding everyone's attention. Their high heels clicked throughout the now-silent hall. The Gallagher Girls filed into a single line, walking up to the stand where Soloman stood, watching everything proceed calmly. The girls lined up next to him, ready to introduce themselves. Their flawless hair and makeup was on point for everyone to see, and winks were thrown around the room.
"Ladies," Mr. Soloman said, and handed over the microphone to the first girl in line.
"Hi everyone. My name is Tina, and I am a sophomore at Gallagher," Tina said, waving towards the crowd. She then handed the microphone to the next girl in line, until all eleven had gone.
"Wait Mr. Soloman! There's only eleven girls up there. You said there were fifteen," a blond guy said.
"That's right, I did. It's up to you guys to figure out where the other four are," Soloman said, and smiled.
The guys immediately started looking around. In order to blend in, the 'missing' girls looked around too. The Blackthorne students were looking under tables, behind columns, and even outside the shattered windows. Ten minutes passed by, and a single girl was still yet to be found. Mr. Soloman was laughing up at the front, and the 'found' girls were stifling giggles. Another ten minutes, and still no one was found. Deciding to pity the boys, Mr. Soloman walked back up to the stand and gathered the boys' attention.
"Boys, as much as I enjoy this free entertainment, it's gone on far too long for trained spies. Cammie, Bex, Liz, Macey, please come up to the front of the room," Soloman said, gesturing to the girls.
The boys' look of confusion only increased when four boys walked up to the front, shaking Mr. Soloman's hand. The boys (?) started removing their uniforms, wigs, and faces. That last part definitely scarred the Blackthorne students' memories. When the transformation was complete, there stood four of the most striking girls. They walked up to the microphone, and introduced themselves.
"Hello everyone. My name is Liz Sutton, and I am a sophomore at Gallagher. I'm also on the Research and Development track of study," Liz said, with a shy smile. She walked back into line with the three mysterious girls.
"Good evening everyone, my name is Rebecca Baxter, but call me Rebecca and I will perform every single illegal move I know on you. And I know a lot. So it's Bex for you. I'm on the Covert Operations track," Bex finished. She too headed back into the line with the two other girls.
"Hi. I'm Macey McHenry, yes like the Senator. I'm on the Covert Operations track as well," Macey said, looking bored as she introduced herself. She twirled a piece of her stark black hair around her finger, giving one more glance out to the crowd before she walked back.
Finally, the last girl walked up to the stand.
"My name is Cammie Morgan. I'm on the Covert Operations track. Before anything else gets said, I want to make one thing clear," Cammie said, giving her Morgan certified death stare out to the crowd. "These girls are my sisters. Hurt one of us, and we will quite literally crush you. You better watch your back at all times. If I find out one of you have emotionally or physically injured one of my sisters, I will personally meet you myself and fight you, no moves barred. Thank you," Cammie said. She looked out into the crowd, and her eyes immediately locked onto bright emerald green ones. She winked, and then walked back.
"Well, you heard them. Do not disrespect a single one of them or Dr. Steve will manage your punishment for a month," Soloman announced, and with that, the girls headed to their table to eat, with all eyes on them.
