Chapter 17

The girls woke up the next morning, at 10 am sharp thanks to Macey's alarm. When Cammie went to stretch, she accidentally hit Bex, who shifted on impact and made a noise. Cammie rubbed her eyes, trying to think back to why they were all in the same bed, and recalled the night before. She reached forward, feeling the laptop and moving it to the floor from its previous location at the end of the bed. Checking her watch, the time read 10:15. There was about a five hour gap from when she had to be ready to go meet Zach. Pushing aside the covers, she walked to the bathroom attached to their room and took a quick shower, washing her hair thoroughly and using Macey's ride-or-die coconut shampoo. As Cammie was finishing shaving and exfoliating, Macey walked in, waving to Cammie through the fogged up mirror. She started washing her face and brushing her teeth. Cammie got out of the shower, and quickly slipped on some loose shorts and a tank top. Macey started to dry her hair with a blow dryer, making it bouncy and shiny.

"We'll do makeup later, okay Cam?" Macey asked. Cammie nodded her head and started to dig through the shared closet for something to wear. Bex and Liz were sitting up in the bed, discussing what kind of things were available to do when they went out. Cammie finally dug out a pair of loose-fitting jeans, long sleeve turtleneck, and a long overcoat. She turned to each of the girls in turn, asking for approval. When they nodded their heads, she placed the outfit on her bed carefully.

"Can we go get food really quick guys? I'm hungry and it's already 12. I didn't realize I was in the shower that long," Cammie said, while looking through some of her jewelry. She found a gold necklace that her dad had given her a couple years ago, and put it on immediately.
She looked to Bex, Liz, and Macey, and waved them over.

"I'm going in pajamas, I don't care anymore," she laughed.
The others followed her, in their pajamas as well. They walked down the hallways, slipping and sliding in their socks, earning a few weird looks from people walking by. Cammie and Bex slid into the dining hall, shuffling to the brunch bar. Grabbing some bagels and fresh fruit, the duo carefully slid over to a table without dropping food. Liz soon zoomed by. Even though she was a genius, she somehow managed to slide way past them and almost collide with a passerby. Thank goodness it was Jonas, because he managed to catch her and not let anything drop. Both of their faces' turned bright red, Jonas made sure that he had respectful hands and adjusted Liz so that she could get down from his arms. She whispered a muffled thank you and dashed back to the trio watching everything unfold. Liz's face was bright red, rivaling the strawberries on Cammie's plate. Macey wiggled her eyebrows at Liz, causing her to choke on the bite of food she had taken. Bex took slamming on Liz's back way to seriously, and whacked so hard that the entire hall heard it and looked at them. Cammie started silent laughing, quickly followed by Macey. Bex and Liz joined in after they got over the initial shock factor of the sound. Even Soloman, up at the teachers' table was stifling a laugh. When the laughter finally died down, the girls quickly finished their food and rushed back to their dorm, slipping and sliding along the way. When they finally made it back, Cammie collapsed on the floor and didn't move. Macey poked her with her toe.

"Cam, come on. We have to start getting ready to go out," she said, sliding her own outfit out of the closet and onto her own bed, and started to get dressed. Macey's outfit was fashionable as always, making her look like she had left a photoshoot.

"I think Preston's gonna like that outfit a lot Mace," Cammie said giggling.

"Do you really- WAIT. No Cammie, I don't like him like that," she said, shooting Cammie a glare that rivaled Headmistress Morgan's. Cammie just laughed.

"I've seen the way you two look at each other when you think no one's looking," Cammie smirked.

"Oh, so like how you and Zach look at each other?" Macey smiled. Cammie stood up right away and made a face.

"I do not look at him like that Macey!" she exclaimed, lightly hitting her.

"Oh yes you do. And sometimes you fight like an old married couple. It would be really cute, but at the same time it's really annoying," Macey said, clipping a bracelet around her wrist. Cammie shot her a death glare. "Cameron Morgan. You act like an old married couple. It's cute. Get over it. And start getting ready please, it's already 1:15 and we have to be by the exit to town in 45 minutes!" she said, shoving Cammie towards her chosen outfit.

Putting on what Macey called 'New York Street Chic', Cammie looked in the mirror. Her hair flowed down around the collar of the overcoat, the jeans and turtleneck accenting her curves. It was definitely a confidence boosting outfit. She walked into the bathroom and sat down, waiting for Macey to do her makeup. Macey kept it natural, only doing some brown liner around her eyes, and waterproof mascara. Adding some blush to her cheeks and nose, she dusted off the excess powder with a brush, leaving Cammie's face flawless. She looked in the mirror, stunned.

"Macey I think you did something different this time. I don't look like this," Cammie said.

"Yes, you do. I didn't even do that much, just a little something here and there. Now grab your bag, and we gotta go. That took longer than I thought," Macey said. it did in fact take longer, it was almost 1:55. Cammie slipped on some Doc Martens, making sure they were tied tight. Grabbing her bag, she made sure everything was there, even the dreaded swimsuit. Macey would definitely kill her if it wasn't in there. Cammie waited for the other three girls to finish everything, then walked down with them, making plans to meet back up around 5. The four split off before they reached the exit, each one heading to meet with their boyfriend. Or soon-to-be boyfriends in Liz and Macey's case. Cammie looked around, trying to find Zach in the crowd. She spotting him in an archway that detailed the hall. He was leaning against the arch framework. his arms crossed. He wore khakis, a formfitting white t-shirt with a plaid vest over it. The shirt showed off his tanned skin, and he was definitely getting a couple glances from around the hall. But when he spotted Cammie, his eyes belonged to her only. As she was walking to him, he kept looking her up and down, smiling every time he reached her eyes again. His smile was infectious, and she found herself smiling right back at him. When she made it to him, he wrapped her up in a big bear hug. She inhaled his scent, and noted that not only did he clean up nicely, he smelled pretty nice too. Zach finally let her down, looking at her again.

"Well you don't look horrible," he said.

"Ditto," she replied. He held out his arm for her to take.

"Shall we?"

"We shall," she said, and tucked her arm into his.
They walked out of the gates, heading in direction of the town. Zach had brought a similar bag with him, which he kept on his other hand. It was definitely colder than Cammie expected, and she found herself shivering. Zach noticed and pulled her closer by her shoulders towards him. He definitely made a good heater, she thought as she moved her arms to embrace his waist. The walk to get to Boothbay was about a mile, similar to Gallagher's distance with Roseville. As they approached the buildings and streets, Cammie took in the sight before her. It was decorated as though Christmas was already happening, even though it was the middle of November. Twinkie lights and other various lighting designs were strung across all the buildings, only turned off because it was the afternoon. Red, gold, green, and silver tinsel was hung around the square, the winter sun shining upon them, causing flecks of light to appear. Salt was strewn along the ground, preventing a slippery surface from the cold nights. Doors had Christmas wreaths hung up, poinsettias were everywhere in pots, and everything smelled like pine. Cammie took a deep breath, closing her eyes and breathing in the smells. A faint smile took over her face. When her arms relaxed around Zach, he looked down at her, eyes roaming her peaceful face. He bent down and pressed a kiss to her temple, and was happy to see her smile grow larger. She opened her eyes, blue meeting green, and pulled him towards her in hug. She breathed his scent in again, and let go.

"Come on, let's go get something to eat!" she said, a twinkle in her eye. Zach smiled and grabbed her hand, swinging it as they walked in the direction of a small cafe. It was nestled in between a soap store, which smelled amazing, and a cozy looking bookstore. "We have to go to the bookstore after!" she said excitedly. When Zach rolled his eyes, she looked at him and gave her tried and true Cameron Morgan puppy dog eyes. After resisting for four seconds, Zach gave in, nodding his head with a sigh.

"How could I ever say no to you Gallagher Girl?" he said, and pulled her arm to go into the cafe. The warmth of it enveloped them, and Cammie took off her coat. She put it down in the booth Zach had gotten, and sat down after fixing her shirt. Zach just watched her, smiling. She took out her bag, and brought out a camera.

"Picture time Zachy!" she said. He smiled for her picture, and then waved down a waitress to take a picture of the both of them. Cammie scooted over next to him, and he slung an arm around her shoulders. While Cammie smiled at looked at the camera, Zach turned at the last second and kissed her cheek. Cammie rolled her eyes and pushed him. "Can we do a normal one please? she laughed. He nodded, and smiled for the camera, squishing his face with hers. The waitress took the picture, and handed her camera back. Cammie thanked the waitress, and put it back safely in her bag.

Zach handed her a menu, and opened his own. Cammie looked through the dishes, finally deciding on a plate of lasagna. She put her menu down and looked around the restaurant, seeing all the pictures from people in the past and future. She spotted one of the owners when they were small, splashing around in what looked like a cove. Zach noticed her staring into space, and followed her line of sight. Smirking slightly, he looked at the picture, recognizing where the cove was located.

"I know where that is. We can go there you know," he said, moving his bag aside. Cammie shook out of her stupor and looked at him.

"But what if I didn't bring a swimsuit?" she said, a small smile playing on her lips. He raised an eyebrow and leaned in to whisper into her ear.

"We can always skinny-dip," he said slyly. Cammie darted back, a look of shock on her face. She slapped him on the shoulder, and he winced right away.

"Did you really just say that to me, Zachary?" she said, a joking expression on her face. Her look cause his face to flush, and she had to cover her mouth before she laughed. She moved over to whisper back, "Maybe next time," winking at him. That really did cause his face to turn as red as the flowers outside. She laughed out loud, looking at Zach. He rubbed the back of his neck and spotted the food coming.

"Oh wow! Would you look at that! Our food is coming! Guess we better eat!" he said, eagerly grabbing his pasta. As they ate, they told stories about past school hijinks, and by the end of their late lunch, Cammie felt way more connected to Zach and vice versa.

"I gotta go to the bathroom, I'll be right back," Cammie said. She walked to the little bathroom in the back of the cafe, and shut the door behind her. Looking at herself in the mirror, she noticed Macey's makeup job hadn't even smudged. Her face was tinged a bit more red due to the cold, but overall her outfit and face were fine. Cammie fixed her hair one last time, then headed back out to Zach. As she walked back up to the table, the waitress was taking away the check, and Zach was gathering the bags.

"I paid and gave the girl a tip, so we can leave whenever you're ready," he said.

"I do want to go to the bookstore, so do you want to leave now?" she asked. Zach nodded, and stood up. He held open her coat for her to put on, and then grabbed her hand to walk out of the cafe. Cammie waved to the owner with her free hand, and pushed open the door. The brisk wind immediately greeted the duo, so they nearly sprinted to the bookstore. As they entered, Zach almost tripped, causing Cammie to go into a laughing fit. In response, he tripped her, but caught her as she was about to fall. She patted his back, a small thank you. The elderly woman in the front welcomed them to her store, sending a bright smile their way. Cammie smiled back, and started to roam through the different shelves. Zach followed her, until she found a book she wanted to read. Cammie led the way to a comfy looking couch. Zach sat down, pulling her on top of him. She let out a small giggle, and made herself comfortable. Cammie pushed her back up onto one end of the couch, putting her legs across his lap. She started to read her book, Zach concentrated on drawing little patterns and shapes with his finger on her legs. As she kept reading, she would look up once in awhile to see Zach looking at her. Each time, he would wink at her. Eventually the feeling of his finger disappeared, and she felt her legs move over and a weight on her stomach. Lifting up her book, she saw Zach's head on her stomach, his arms around her waist and his legs partially stretched out. Cammie smiled to herself, and transferred book to one hand, using her other to play with his hair. His breathing fell into a rhythm, telling her he had fallen asleep. When it reached 5:00, Cammie took out her comms unit and update her friends. She told them about lunch, and when Liz came on to tell her that Jonas asked her out (He wrote a note in a copy of her favorite book and gave it to her, with annotations he also made) Cammie let out a small squeal. It was such a Jonas thing to do.

"So are we going to meet up at that cove from the pictures?" Macey asked.

"How'd you know about the cove?" Cammie asked. She could practically hear Macey's smile through the unit.

"Oh Cammie, you should know by now that I have my connections. Anyway, meet at 6:00?" she asked.

"I can try, I'm at the bookstore right now. I was reading, and then Zach got tired so he decided to use me as his pillow. I'll wake him up in a half hour," Cammie said. As she mentioned Zach, she heard the other girls make kissing noises. "You guys are so gross. Bex you can't even make that noise, we all know that you and Grant were probably making out for the last hour!" Cammie didn't realize she was talking so loud until she looked down and saw Zach shifting. Trying to get him back to sleep, she started twirling his hair and rubbing his back. Once he stopped moving, relaxed a bit and kept talking to the girls.

"How are you and Grant Bexy?" Cammie asked, a smile on her face. She knew Bex hated being called Bexy, to her it was almost as bad as Rebecca.

"Why thank you for asking Cameron, it's going lovely, and we're planning to meet you all at the cove at 6," Bex replied.

"Aw how sweet, I can't wait to see you all there," Cammie said back.
The girls all chorused their replies, and planned to go to the cove and hang out. After saying bye, Cammie put away her comms and checked her watch. She had about 10 minutes before she and Zach had to leave to walk to the inlet. Focusing her attention to Zach, she placed her finished book down on the floor next to her and found a spare blanket underneath the couch. She lifted it up, trying not to move as much as possible, and put it over Zach so he would stay warm. Going through her bag, she brought out her camera. She took a picture with it, catching Zach's sleepy face pressed up against her. When the flash went off, he squirmed, but apparently thought better of waking up. He buried his head deeper into her stomach and went back to sleep. Ten minutes passed, and Cammie started to try and wake Zach up. She started to sit upwards, shifting her back to be flat against the couch arm. Zach started to feel her move, and tightened his arms around her to stay attached. Giving up on that line of attack, she start shaking him softly. He started moving around, giving signs of him waking up.

"Zach come on, we have to go somewhere," Cammie whispered. "Wakey wakey!"

"Nooooo," Zach said, his sleepy voice making Cammie melt.

"Yes, come on. We're going to go to the cove, isn't that fun? Wake up so that we can go," she said. He ignored her, trying to go back to sleep. "If you wake up now, I'll give you a kiss," she whispered. He stayed silent for a second, then lifted his head up.

"You promise?" he asked.

"Yes, but only if you get up so we can go," Cammie said. He weighed the pros and cons, then held out his pinky. "You want me to pink promise you?" she laughed. He nodded his head, now sitting up on her stomach. She let out a sigh, and entwined her pinky with his.

"Now get up! We're gonna be late," Cammie said, trying to untangle his arms from her body.

"But Cammie, you pinky promised!" he said, starting to fake cry. She rolled her eyes and gave him a little peck on the nose. "That wasn't a kiss!"

"Oh yes it was, you never said it had to be on the lips," she giggled. Zach let out a dramatic sigh, and stood up anyway. He stretched, going on his tippy toes.

"Come on Casanova, we gotta hustle," she said, and grabbed him by the hand.

"Wait Gallagher Girl, can I borrow your camera really quick?" Zach asked as they neared the front of the bookshop. She looked at him questionably, but handed it to him anyway. He walked up to the woman at the front, a lovely old lady who wore a red Mrs. Clause apron. "Would you mind taking a picture of my girl and I?" he asked. When Cammie heard the words 'my girl', butterflies started fluttering in her stomach. The lady nodded her head, introduced herself as Florence, and walked over to take their picture. Zach pushed Cammie to a certain spot underneath the hollowed out eaves of the store.

"Are you kiddos ready?" Florence asked, readying the camera. Zach nodded vigorously, turning to face Cammie. He pointed up in the air.

"Mistletoe," he said, and leant down to kiss her. He put his arms around her waist, and in turn she put hers around his neck.

The flash of the camera went off, perfectly capturing the kiss. Florence handed the camera back to them, and had a reminiscent smile on her face.

"My husband looks at me like that all the time. I know I for sure found the one, and I think you might have as well deary," she said. Florence gave Cammie and Zach a hug. "Please, come back anytime!" she said, and waved goodbye.

Zach led Cammie out of the bookstore, her face still flushed from the kiss. He lead the way to the inlet from the lake, helping Cammie over all of the obstacles in her path. Before they reached the cove again, Zach took Cammie's face in his hands and kissed her again. She looked at him, question reading in her eyes.

"It was a before swimming kiss!" he said, with a 'duh' voice. She rolled her eyes, and lightly punched his shoulder. They walked down the path, where the other six of the group lay waiting. Once they got down, Cammie ran to hug Lizzie, whispering congratulations in her ear. She hugged Jonas too, whispering a death threat in case he ever hurt Liz.

"Okay, we want to go swimming, so we're going to go change. Are you guys coming too?" Macey asked, turning to the guys. They looked at each other and shrugged.

"Sure Mace," Preston said, and lead the charge up to the changing rooms by the picnic table.

Cammie locked herself into a room, and brought out the red death suit. As she changed into it, it became a lot smaller than what Macey had originally said it was. The mirror in the changing room gave a 365 angle view, and when Cammie looked into it, she saw that nearly nothing was covered. Of course Macey had to get the highest cut bottoms and smallest top, Cammie groaned.

"Macey I still cannot believe you're making me wear this," she said out loud. "Look at this! It doesn't cover anything!" she shouted as she opened the door to the changing room. "Wait. You're not Macey," Cammie said. Zach shook his head.

"No I am not. But wow Cam, that swimsuit looks amazing on you," he said, starting to blush. Cammie fidgeted with the strings, making sure they were tight enough.

"Are you sure? It's not too much?" she asked, still fidgeting. Zach went into the room and put her in front of the mirror.

"Cam look at yourself. You look stunning, but then again you always do. Want me to take your necklace off?" Zach said, trying to get her mind off the swimsuit. She nodded her head, and he gently removed the chain from her neck. Zach handed it to her, and she put it away safely. "Come on Gallagher Girl, let's go swim. I'm gonna change really quick, then I'll meet you outside ok?"

"Okay, but be quick because I'm cold," she exclaimed, wrapping her towel around herself. He laughed, and closed the door. In a couple minutes, he was back out, in a matching red swimsuit.

"Guess Macey had an ulterior motive," he laughed. Cammie could barely hear him, she was busy looking at his six-pack. "Like what you see?" he asked.

"Not as much as you did," she said, unraveling her towel again. He blushed, and she laughed at his reaction. She brought out her camera again. "Smile!" He smiled his biggest yet, and Cammie got the peak of it captured. She put away her camera in its case, making sure it wouldn't get wet. Cammie grabbed Zach's hand, and they walked down to the little beach. They were just waiting on Macey unsurprisingly. Macey finally arrived a couple seconds later, in a jet black bikini to match her hair.

"See Cam? What did I say about that swimsuit?" Macey said knowingly. Cammie shot her a death glare.

"Preston, can you take a picture for us?" Cammie asked, holding out her camera. The four girls posed together, Liz's pink suit and Bex's white one adding to the vibrancy of Cammie's. Preston counted down to one, and took the picture. He gave it back to Cammie, and she held it out to Macey, motioning for her to take a picture of Zach and herself. Macey nodded, also counting down to one. Cammie put one arm on Zach's chest, and he put his around her shoulders. The camera flashed, and Macey gave it back to Cammie. After she put it away, she suddenly got swept up by Zach, who started running directly to the water.

"Zach! NO! IT'S GOING TO BE SO COLD!" she screamed. Zach didn't listen, and dove straight into the water with Cammie still in his arms. The freezing water washed over her, and she clung to Zach simply because he was warm. "I hate you Zachary Goode."

"Aw, you don't mean that," he said, poking her stomach.

"Oh I most definitely do," Cammie said, hitting his hand away, and turning from him. He swam over to face her.

"But I thought you liked me?" he said, the waterworks starting to fall. She rolled her eyes, and wiped his tears away with her thumbs.

"I do like you, just not very much right now," she said.

"So then would now be a good time to ask you something?" Zach said, starting to mess with her hair. Cammie had noticed that he did this a lot when he was nervous about something, whether it be his hair or hers.

"Depends on the question," she answered. "What is it?" He looked at her in the eyes.

"Will you be my girlfriend Cam?" he asked. Cammie froze. This was definitely not the question she was expecting. "Yes or no?" His voice shook her out of her thoughts. She looked up at him, and smiled.

"Yes, of course I will be," Cammie said. Zach smiled back and picked her up in a hug, squeezing her really tight. "Zach, I can't breathe," she wheezed.

He quickly dropped her, his face flushing red. Cammie reached up and kissed him gently, much to everyone on shores' delight. Cammie broke off the kiss, and shoved him into the water. Zach let out a muffle cry, and quickly got up to chase after her. Cammie hid behind Grant, who had become a brother figure to her.

"Granty don't you dare let him get me!" she yelled, climbing onto his back and holding on for dear life. Grant halfheartedly tried to fend Zach off, dropping Cammie to the ground after a few seconds.

"Oh no, Cameron! I am so sorry to have dropped you!" he said sarcastically. Her reply was lost as Zach carried her back down to the water. After a couple minutes, the cold seemed to fade away, and the water was warm. If you consider 50 degrees warm at least. Bex ran in next, followed by the other girls, who seemed to have given up on keeping their hair dry. Everyone was splashing around, swimming, and doing tricks in the water. Cammie even managed to get some pictures with her camera of the chaos. After nearly two hours of swimming in the freezing water, everyone got out and get ready to get back to Blackthorne. Macey had thought ahead, and brought sweats and sweatshirts for everyone, including the boys. They didn't even bother to ask how she knew their sizes. You quickly learned not to question Macey. The sun was starting to set, so the eight sat down to watch the stunning pinks and reds stretch across the sky. The camera made another appearance, snapping pictures of the sky, the girls, and Zach. After Cammie put the camera away, she put her head on Zach's lap, relaxing into his warmth. Five minutes passed, and she was asleep. The sun finally set, and everything was picked up off the beach. Zach lifted Cammie up in his arms, making sure he had a tight grip on her.

"Are you sure you'll be able to carry her all the way back?" Macey asked. "I think we were going to grab some hot cocoa too, so that's two trips with her."

"I'm very sure Macey, I do work out you know," Zach mentioned. "There's a cafe back in town we went to this afternoon for lunch, we can go there for cocoa," he said.

The group walked up the small cliff, and down the streets until they got to the square. Cammie was still asleep in Zach's arms, and hadn't moved one bit during the whole trek. As they approached the coffee shop, Zach started trying to get Cammie to wake up. He began to whisper her name in her ear, which only cause her to shift in her sleep. Zach tried poking her stomach and face, but wasn't greeted with any signs of movement. Zach sighed, and went to his final resort. He started kissing her face, making her squirm and wipe the sleep out of her eyes.

"What do you want Zach? I was sleeping," Cammie whined, shoving her face into Zach's shoulder.

"I just wanted to say that we were going into the cafe to get hot chocolate if you wanted some," Zach said. "But if you don't-"

"Of course I do! Why didn't you say so sooner?" Cammie said, and jumped out of his arms, promptly tripping and nearly falling flat on her face. Zach managed to catch her just in time, his strong arms keeping her steady.

"Maybe you should have waited for me to put you down. You were asleep for awhile, you know," Zach said, lifting her back up, keeping his arm around her waist. He pushed the door to the shop open, and headed towards the table where all their friends sat. Everyone scooted over, making room for the couple. Zach made sure to sit on the outside, so that Cammie could sleep on him once she crashed from the sugar. The cocoa was already on the restaurant table, and everyone was talking about the day they had. Before Cammie crashed again, she made sure to get a picture of them all. As she drank her cocoa, she tried to stay connected with the conversation, but ended up dozing off. In order to keep her from falling forward, Zach moved her to his legs, making a pillow out of a spare shirt he had in his bag. While he listened to the conversations, he played with her hair, practicing little braids and curls. As it neared 8:00, the friends decided to make their way back up to Blackthorne. Zach carefully lifted Cammie's head up, moving the pillow and putting it away. He put her arms around his neck, then secured his own hands under her knees and around her shoulders. Being careful not to drop her, he lifted her up and out of the both, following Macey and the others. Macey made him wait, taking out Cammie's camera and quickly snapping a picture for later. Zach smiled down at her, and motioned for Macey to hold open the door. He walked out of the bistro, and into the chilly night. Pausing for a second to put Cammie's hood up, he had to fast-walk to catch up with the group. The returning journey to Blackthorne passed by much faster, but by the end, Zach's arms were starting to burn a small bit. Grant walked through the doors, holding them open for the line behind him. Once Zach passed in with Cammie, Grant went to catch up with Bex.

"Macey, do you want me to drop her off in your dorm?" Zach asked.

"Yeah sure, we're headed there anyway so just follow us," Macey said. Liz lead the charge into the hallways, weaving through students just coming back from Boothbay or from dinner. Once they arrived at the student quarters, Bex signaled for Zach to hand Cammie over. He shook his head, motioning that he would do it himself. Bex whispered for him to just give Cammie to her, which made Zach just hold on tighter. Bex let out a loud sigh and rolled her eyes. She waved Zach over to the girls' dorm, letting him in. Zach walked over to Cammie's bed, placing her gently onto the sheets and tucking her in.

"Goodnight Gallagher Girl," he whispered, and placed a kiss on her temple. Bex butted in and started shoving him out of the room, and Zach finally obliged once he saw that Cammie was truly asleep. He let Bex usher him out, waving to Macey and Liz who waved back. After he left, everyone collapsed onto their beds from exhaustion, and went straight to sleep.
