In the Mysterious Beyond, the Fast Runners Ovi and Tor gathered to watch their egg hatch. It was an orange colored egg with blue green speckles.

"Do you think it'll be a boy or a girl?" asked Tor.

"Girl." replied Ovi.

"I think it'll be a boy." argued Tor.

"The next one can be a boy, but I want this one to be a girl." Ovi objected.

The egg started to move. "It's hatching!" Tor cried excitedly.

The arms broke out first. The baby used these to pull off the rest of the shell. It was a girl. She had a pink body but a prominent pinkish red crest and red feathers. "Ha, it's a girl!" Ovi cheered.

"Fine, but I'm naming her." said Tor, disappointed.

"What are you going to name her?" Ovi asked.

"Ruby." Tor replied.
