BOOK TWO*CHAPTER TWO

William could see the shocked expression on the faces of the older man and his son. "Uh...in the name of the Quorum of the Twelve, I welcome you to the Battlestar Galactica," the older man said. "I am Commander Adama."

William smiled at Adama. "I thank you for your kind welcome, Sire Adama," William said. "I am King William, ruler of Cinnabar, a kingdom on another dimensional plane. This is my personal starship, Gavan's Glory II. You know of it looking like this."

William reached for a device on his utility belt and switched it on. A blue holographic projection formed of the Doctor's TARDIS-style exterior that Gavan's Glory II had when it was in the Tomb of the Ninth Lord of Kobol.

William gestured into Gavan's Glory II. Sofia walked out. "Everyone, this is my wife, Queen Sofia. The other members of my team must remain aboard to maintain the ship's systems," William said. "Sofia, this is Commander Adama, whom I presume is the commanding officer of the Galactica."

Adama kissed Sofia on the hand. "Your Majesty, welcome aboard," Adama said. "Thank you, Commander," Sofia said.

Adama gestured to the younger man at his side. "This is my son, Flight Captain Apollo," Adama said. "It is a pleasure to officially meet you, Your Majesties," Apollo said.

"Thank you, Captain Apollo," William said. Adama looked at William and Sofia. "Your Majesties, we need to head to the Council Chamber. The Quorum of Twelve, our governing council, has asked to speak to you," Adama said.

"Of course," William said. "Lead on." Adama led William and Sofia out of the landing bay.

In the council chamber, William and Sofia stood and watched as Adama called the council meeting to order. "Learned members of this Council, may I introduce King William and Queen Sofia," Adama said, gesturing for William and Sofia to step forward.

"King and Queen of what?" one member said. "Cinnabar, a kingdom on another dimensional plane, Sire..." William said, trailing off since he did not know the member's name.

"I am Sire Anton of Scorpio," the member said. "And I must ask, what brings you to us?" "Your most hated enemy, the Cylon Empire, has united with our enemies, the Army of Inter-Universal Chaos," William said.

"The A.I.C. plans to completely take over the multiple dimensional planes that exist in this universe," William continued. "My people have been struggling for many a yahren against their forces."

A female member of the Quorum stood up. "I am Siress Tinia," she said in introducing herself. "Why is it that you have truly come to us?"

"Each dimensional plane the A.I.C. is threatening has a person, group of people or item that, together with their counterparts from the other threatened dimensions, will create a Grand Key that will stop them once and for all," Sofia said. "This world being one of them, we need the Key component from this world."

"And what is this Key component?" Sire Anton said. "We believe it is the Galactica herself," William responded.

"But without the Galactica, our ships will be at the mercy of the Cylons!" another member of the Council said. The Council erupted into an argument. William shook his head then let out a loud, piercing whistle which made the Council fall silent.

"Let's cut through the felgercarb here," William said. A collective gasp erupted from the Council members at William's choice of language. "I know you are searching for your legendary Thirteenth Tribe. As Commander Adama can tell you, I am from that Tribe."

"As such, I can guide your people to the lost Colony, which both you and I call 'Earth,'" William continued.

Sire Anton held up his hand. "King William, we will need to discuss your most kind proposal," he said. "We will abide by whatever you decide, Sire Anton," William said. "And if it is the Quorum's will that we depart the Galactica and never return, we shall do so in peace," Sofia said.

"We will summon you to stand before us once more when we have reached a decision," Adama said. "In the meantime, I will escort you on a tour of the ship," Apollo said. Apollo gestured for William and Sofia to follow him.

Apollo led William and Sofia up to a door marked with his name. Apollo knocked on the door. "Come in," the voice on the other side of the door said.

Apollo opened the door and led William and Sofia into his private quarters. William and Sofia recognized the woman taking care of a child in the living area.

And the woman recognized William too. "You're the one who saved me down in the Tomb of the Ninth Lord," she said. "I did indeed, Serina," William said as he took Serina by the hand and kissed it as a gentleman would.

"I am King William of Cinnabar, a kingdom in another dimension," William said in formal introduction before gesturing to Sofia. "This is my wife, Queen Sofia." "Thank you for saving my life," Serina said. "It's what we do, although..." William started to say before Sofia elbowed him in the ribs.

The young child looked up at William. "You're the one Mom told me about," he said. "Yes, Boxey," William said as he knelt down to look into Boxey's eyes. "Thank you," Boxey said. "It is no problem," William said.

Apollo then moved over to kiss Serina. "Father asked me to escort King William and Queen Sofia on a tour of the Galactica while the Council is debating a proposal William made to assist in the exodus," Apollo said. "I just wanted to bring them down here first to introduce them to you."

"Thank you, Apollo," Serina said. "I was hoping to have an opportunity to thank you for saving me down in the Ninth Lord's tomb."

"It is all right, Serina," William said. "Let's go, William and Sofia," Apollo said. William bowed to Serina again before following Apollo and Sofia out of Apollo's quarters.
