The chapter is in Masaru's point of view.

Chapter 2: Masaru's Inner Strength
After trying to run away from DATS with Agumon, the two of us decided to join them after getting the ultimatum of either joining the organization or sending my follower back to the Digital World where, apparently, these Digimon creatures were living.
What made me make this decision?
Well… A tiny voice in the back of my head told me that I could probably become much stronger if I fought rogue Digimon with Agumon by my side, especially after what happened with Kokatorimon. I had grown close to Agumon in just a few hours after meeting him and when the giant turkey almost killed him, I felt like a piece of me got shattered by the thoughts of losing someone again. Like Dad…
If it hadn't been for that old fisherman who threw me the Digivice-thingy, I wouldn't have been able to revive Agumon with my DigiSoul, whatever that was, and digivolve him to GeoGreymon and defeat Kokatorimon.
Commander and his daughter, Satsuma Eve, who tried to catch me and Agumon before, met my mom and little sister in person to explain what was going on and why I was involved with DATS. When I introduced them to Agumon for the first time, Chika freaked out a bit, but she calmed down when Eve called out her partner to distract her. Mom just looked surprised, but happily accepted Agumon.
Every other details and paperwork had been taken care of, even with my school. The only thing the teachers and the principal knew was I was working as a super-duper important agent for an organization, and if I had to leave in the middle of class due to work, I was allowed to. The teachers had a hard time to believe it at first due to my reputation as a street fighter and how I preferred to use my fists instead of my brain on a daily basis.
But now, after becoming a DATS Officer, Mom told me I had to start concentrating more on my studies during my free time instead of going out on the streets and look for thugs to fight. I wasn't really that smart, but she was right. I had to be a good role model for Chika and do my best to protect my family, since I was the man of the house.
The Commander had appointed Eve as my superior to teach me the ropes around at DATS. It was hard to keep up at first, but she explained everything as good as she could. I heard from Agumon how Eve may look a bit stiff and stoic, but she was very kind towards humans and Digimon. She was the one who looked after him after he hatched from his Digi-Egg, so she was like a big sister to him.
I had a slight hard time to believe she was kind underneath that stoic expression, but I got to learn more about her later.

It had been five days since Agumon and I joined DATS. I had quickly learned the ropes and rules around here. One thing I had to complain about was there had been no action. No rogue Digimon had appeared since the incident with Kokatorimon, so my afternoon shifts had been very boring.
It was a good thing DATS had a gym where I could get a nice work-out when the day was slow, like today. I had changed from my DATS uniform into a white t-shirt, red shorts, and gym shoes in the male's locker room and was on my way to the gym with Agumon.
"So what are we going to do, Boss?" Agumon asked.
Ever since we had our first fight and called it a draw, he had been calling me "Boss". It felt weird at first, but I didn't mind that.
"I thought we can try and wrestle a bit in the boxing ring or shadow boxing", I replied. "But first, we need to build up the strength in our arms and fists. That way, our punches will be more effective and stronger that we can defeat a Champion Digimon!"
"I'm up for it!" Agumon grinned.
The doors to the gym opened and we stepped inside, only for me to stop as soon as I was in the gym. My eyes were at Eve's figure as she punched the air with fists clad in a pair of purple fingerless gloves. She was dressed in a black sports bra, black sports shorts with purple edges, purple gym shoes, and the gloves. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail and she didn't wear her glasses, showing more of her hazel/golden-like eyes. She was very thin, but I could see some muscles in her arms and legs as she punched and kicked the air. I've got to tell you, she's got some moves.
I may not have been taught how to fight, except the vivid memories of my dad teaching me some moves before he disappeared, but I could tell Eve had experience in her luggage. Did she go to martial arts classes?
Eve turned around as she realized she wasn't alone. "Agumon? Masaru? Is it you, guys?"
"Yeah", I nodded as I gave her a soft wave as greeting.
Dorumon sat on a bench before he got up and walked to Eve with a light purple towel and her glasses. She grabbed her stuff and gave Dorumon a pat on his head and a sweet smile. She had used the very same smile when she comforted Chika on the day I introduced Agumon to my family.
Eve put on her glasses and wiped the sweat off her body with the towel as she turned to me and Agumon. "Are you two here to work-out as well?"
"Yeah!" Agumon nodded. "Boss says we need to get stronger so we can take down Digimon like Kokatorimon with a single fist! Hi-yaah!" He threw a fist forward, but he used too much force and fell face-down on the floor.
The rest of us laughed at him before I walked closer to Eve. "So… You know martial arts?"
Eve nodded softly as she gave her towel back to Dorumon. "Yeah. Since I was nine years old, so that's six years now."
"Whoa, six years… That's a long time", I said, slightly impressed to hear how a girl had practiced martial arts for so many years, before I realized something. "Wait… How old did you say you were again?"
"I'm fifteen", Eve replied softly. "I'll be sixteen on December 24."
"You were born on Christmas Eve?" I questioned before chuckling. "Is your name a pun for the holiday or something?"
My grin dropped when I saw how her eyes suddenly grew sad. Both Dorumon and Agumon looked concerned as they approached her. Eve's body grew stiff as the shadow of her bangs covered her eyes.
I panicked for a moment, not knowing how to comfort a girl my age. Chika was a different case because she was my little sister by four years. I had no experience with girls my age. "I'm sorry, Eve! I… Umm…"
Eve shook her head before looking up with a hesitant smile. "It's okay, Masaru… It's just…something else."
I blinked my eyes confusedly. "What'd you mean?"
"It's about her past, Boss", Agumon explained. "She told me the story, so I know what's going on."
"Everyone else at DATS knows about Eve's past too", Dorumon added before nuzzling against Eve. "Eve…"
Eve nodded before she patted the purple fox's muzzle with a tiny smile. "I know." She turned to me and patted the bench next to her. "It's a long story, so if you want to hear me out…"
I wasn't the type to handle emotional stuff, but if this was important, then I would hear her out. I sat down next to Eve as Agumon and Dorumon sat down on the floor in front of us.
I didn't expect to hear that Eve wasn't Commander's biological daughter. She was found abandoned with Dorumon's Digi-Egg in an alleyway by Commander and Kudamon on Christmas Eve seven years ago. She couldn't remember a single thing of her past, except her first name and age. She got adopted and had been homeschooled and she was even a high school student after skipping a grade.
"It's all thanks to Thomas who helped me with the education that I was able to skip a grade", Eve said with a soft laugh. "He's also fourteen years old like you."
"Thomas?" I repeated the name. "Is he a foreign?"
"He's actually half-Japanese and half-Austrian", Eve explained. "He's part of DATS, but he's been in Austria for the last six months due to…family issues."
"He's a member of DATS?"
"Yes. His partner is Gaomon", Dorumon nodded. "They're the best team of DATS. They've got both brain and brawn."
"Maybe so, but Boss and I are tougher than them!" Agumon said, crossing his arms and pointing the nose up.
I glanced down on my lap as different thoughts spun around in my mind, but I shook them off. "I'd like to meet this Thomas when he gets back to Japan. Maybe the two of us can be friends… Although, I'd rather take the title from him." I smirked to myself as I put my right fist in the palm of my left hand. "Agumon and I are gonna be the new best team of DATS!"
Eve giggled softly as she hid her smile behind her hand. "I wish you the best of luck. Thomas is a hard opponent to defeat. I haven't been able to defeat him in a martial arts battle yet. In fact, I don't think no one at DATS has won against him in a battle."
"Then I hope I get the honor to beat his winning streak."
The four of us chuckled at my comment before Eve got up from the bench and turned to me with a small smile and held out her right hand. "Want to train together, Masaru?"
I grinned before grabbing her tiny hand. "Sure! Can you show me some of your moves?"
"Gladly."

I was on my way to school with Chika the next day, since our schools were like a few blocks away from each other, so I could drop her off and pick her up. After I got home yesterday, Mom sent me straight to my room and told me to do my homework before dinner. I felt like I was almost dying by all the words, numbers, sentences, and calculations, so it was such a relief to get a break when Chika called that dinner was ready.
However, I still had to finish the homework after dinner, so I had stayed up late to finish all of it. It didn't help with Agumon snoring loudly in my Digivice, but I somehow managed to do all homework. Now, the next worst enemy for me was the grading by the teachers. I was usually a D student, but in rare cases I could make it to a C-.
I covered my mouth as I let out a yawn while Chika and I waited for the traffic light to turn green. "You stayed up late last night, Masaru?" Chika asked.
"Yeah…", I nodded as I rubbed my tired eyes. "All the homework is such a pain."
"Mom said it's for your best", Chika said. "Especially now that you're working at DATS. Say… When will Big Sister come over?"
"Huh?" I snapped a curious eye on my little sister. "Big Sister? You're talking about Eve?"
Chika nodded with a big smile. "Eve was so kind, and Dorumon was just so adorable! That fluffy tail of his…" She giggled with a small blush on her cheeks. "I just want to hug and cuddle with him!"
"Hey, I'm a cuddly Digimon too!" Agumon called from my Digivice that was stuffed in the pocket of my school blazer. "I can cuddle with you anytime, Chika!"
I panicked before I picked up the Digivice and yelled quietly at my partner. "Quiet, Agumon…! If someone hears you, it'll be really bad not just for us, but for DATS…!"
"Sorry, Boss…!" Agumon yelped as he covered his mouth.
I groaned as I put back the Digivice and grabbed Chika's hand as we crossed the street when the light turned green for us. I looked up and noticed there were a few police cars parked outside of Chika's school.
"What are the police doing here?" Chika wondered when she spotted the vehicles, and let go of my hand as she rushed to the school yard.
"Chika, wait!" I called as I ran after her.
I entered the schoolyard and saw several teachers and elementary kids staring at something in the corner of the premises. I turned my eyes at the crowd that had gathered by the corner, close to a shed. I stepped closer to see what they were looking at, but when I reached the corner, I gaped in shock.
The school's animal pen was stained in dried blood with some white feathers and pieces of skeletons. There was a big hole in the steel bar of the pen, as if an animal in the size of a pit bull had chewed through it and then ate the chicken and rabbits.
"What happened…?" I mumbled to myself.
I heard a kid crying, so I turned my eyes to a police officer who was interviewing the principal while a crying boy in Chika's age stood next to him. The boy was dressed in a yellow shirt, forest green shorts, and brown loafers with a pair of white socks, and had short brown hair, dark green eyes, and fair skin. Chika stood next to the boy and tried to comfort him, so I assumed they were classmates.
But still… Something about the boy made me feel suspicious. I also overheard the officer telling the principal that this wasn't the first incident. Two districts away, another elementary school went through the same thing only a few days ago.
I had a feeling this was related to a rogue Digimon, so I hid behind the shed and picked up the mono-headset to contact DATS and report this. "Masaru to DATS."
"DATS here", Miki's voice replied. "What is it, Masaru?"
"Listen, I was on my way to school with Chika, but something attacked her school's animal pen and now the animals are gone. I don't know why, but my gut's telling me a Digimon is behind of this."
"Did you use your Digivice to verify it?"
"Huh?" I blinked confusedly.
Miki sighed, "Press the middle button on the Digivice to open the scanner. If the screen shows a blinking soundwave, it means it found traces of a Digimon's energy signature. The more it blinks, the fresher the signature is."
I picked up the Digivice and pressed the middle button. The screen changed from showing Agumon into a scanner screen. Only seconds after it appeared, the soundwave showed up, revealing traces of a Digimon.
"It's blinking", I reported. "And the speed is… Umm… Kinda fast?"
"Then the traces must be only a few hours fresh. We'll send a team after school hours to investigate."
"Let me and Agumon handle this!" I demanded. "This is my little sister's school and I used to be a student here, so it's only right that I deal with this Digimon!"
"That's up to Commander, so if you want to take part of this, you must ask him after school."
The school bell of the elementary school rang as I snapped my head up in realization. "Oh shoot! I'm going to be late!"
XXXXXXXXXX
I managed to get to my school in the last minute, so I didn't get detention, much to my relief. After school, I went to DATS and persuaded Commander to let me investigate the incident at Chika's school. However, Eve and Yoshino were sent there to "assist" me, as I liked to put it.
We waited until it got late and dark, so there was no one left at the school. I got this brilliant idea to lock Agumon inside the animal pen and use him as bait to lure the culprit back. After all, there was a saying that criminals always return to the scene of the crime, especially if there were new bait.
"I'm not so sure about this…", Eve commented as we had been hiding behind the shed for over an hour.
Yoshino yawned loudly. "Yeah, there's no way the criminal will return to the scene where they struck."
"They are very stupid if they do so", Eve continued.
"Quiet, you two…!" I hissed quietly to the girls. "If a Digimon's behind of this, then it'll surely be hungry and try to get some food. It knows it found food here, so it must come back."
"Masaru is not wrong about that", Lalamon spoke from Yoshino's Digivice.
"Guys, I sense something…", Dorumon called from Eve's Digivice.
The girls and I peeked carefully from the corner of the shed as we heard footsteps. They sounded soft, but they kept coming closer to the animal pen. My eyes widened slightly in surprise when I saw it was Chika's classmate; the same boy who had been crying this morning.
"Who is that…?" Yoshino asked.
"My sister's classmate…", I replied. "He's the one I got suspicious of."
"Could he be hiding a Digimon…?" Eve questioned. "But he's seen Agumon now."
"This is the worst…", Yoshino sighed.
"Hey, kid!" I called as I rushed over to the boy.
He gave me a glare, but I noticed his eyes were looking empty.
"You came here to check the pen? Well, thanks, but I've got it under control, so you can go home now", I told him.
Next thing I knew, a dark aura appeared on his back and formed itself into a large yellow larva Digimon that roared straight on my face. I backed away as I rubbed my ears to smooth the pain, but then I saw how the Digimon pushed down the boy and jumped back. The kid hit his head on the ground and fainted.
"Kid!" I called as I picked him up in my arms before glaring at the larva Digimon. "So you're the one behind of this?!"
"Yesss…!" the Digimon hissed. "And I'm hungry! Must eat!"
"No, don't eat me!" Agumon panicked inside the pen. "I'm not tasty!"
"It's Kunemon, a Rookie level Digimon!" Eve called as she and Yoshino rushed out to the schoolyard. "It harbors electric powers, so we need to watch out for its Electric Thread!"
"I'll take care of this!" Yoshino called as she held up her pink and white Digivice. "Lalamon: Realize!"
Lalamon was materialized before she attacked Kunemon with Seed Blast. I stepped back and put the boy against the shed and rushed to the pen to get Agumon out of it. Only one problem, though…
My stupid head forgot the combination for the lock!
"Man, I should've written down the combination or something!" I scolded myself as I turned the lock around.
"Boss, they're in trouble!" Agumon yelled.
I looked over my shoulder to see Eve had called out Dorumon, since Lalamon just got knocked down by Kunemon and its Electric Thread attack. Yoshino picked up her partner as Dorumon ran forward to take over the battle.
"Metal Cannon!" Dorumon called as he fired a large iron sphere from his mouth.
Kunemon was knocked back by the iron sphere, but it was still standing on its multiple feet. "Electric Thread!"
The larva Digimon fired those silk threads loaded with electricity from its mouth toward Dorumon. The purple Digimon jumped aside before the threads could touch him, but then Kunemon charged and tackled him hard, knocking him down to the ground.
"Dorumon, are you okay?!" Eve called as said Digimon slowly got up on his feet.
"Yeah, I think so", Dorumon nodded.
"Lalamon, it's time to digivolve!" Yoshino called.
"Right!" Lalamon nodded as she floated up from her partner's arms.
Yoshino grabbed her Digivice as she moved her left hand, causing her pink DigiSoul to sparkle, before slamming it on top of the Digivice. "DigiSoul Charge!"
"Lalamon digivolve to…Sunflowmon!"
Lalamon had grown into a huge sunflower-like Digimon with a large green body with a pair of dark green leaves on the back that I guess were supposed to be wings, long green arms, and short green legs, and a tail swinging behind her. The head looked just like a sunflower's, except her face was on it.
"Finish it, Sunflowmon!" Yoshino yelled.
"Sunshine Beam!" Sunflowmon yelled as she fired a solar beam from the petals around her head.
The beam hit Kunemon and the concrete, causing smoke and debris to fly around.
"Alright!" Yoshino cheered.
"Aww, but I wanted to defeat Kunemon!" Agumon whined from the pen. "Boss, you're so slow!"
"Well, excuse me for forgetting the combination!" I growled irritably.
"Hold on!" Eve called, snapping us out of the argument. "Something's not right!"
I snapped my head up and saw something huge in the smoke until it faded away to reveal…
"Is that a cocoon?!" I exclaimed in disbelief.
The giant light pink cocoon was three times bigger than a normal bus and laid on the schoolyard, emitting groaning noises as it slowly began to crack.
"Kunemon is digivolving!" Dorumon yelled.
The cocoon cracked open before a huge wasp-like Digimon, twice as big as Sunflowmon, flew up in the air with a roar. It was yellow and black, but it had two pairs of claws on the front and two large feet, while it had two stingers at the back of its body. Its head looked like Kunemon's, but it had red mane around it, and two pairs of purple wings with yellow emblems that looked like eyes.
"Kunemon digivolved to Flymon!" Eve called. "The poison in his stingers contains deadly poison, so we need to dodge them at all cost!"
"Masaru!" a familiar voice called.
My head snapped up when I recognized the voice. I turned my eyes toward the open gate of the school property and spotted Chika and Mom!
"Mom! Chika!" I yelled in shock.
Eve and Dorumon rushed to my family to get them to run away before Flymon could spot them. "What are you two doing here?! It's too dangerous!" Eve yelled.
"We got a call from Takashi's mom who said he was missing!" Chika explained before she shrieked at the sight of Flymon. "What is that?!"
"You need to leave! Now!" Dorumon exclaimed.
Flymon roared as he flew towards my family, Eve, and Dorumon. "Eve, Daimon! Look out!" Yoshino yelled.
Eve turned around and saw what was happening. She quickly pushed Mom and Dorumon back before she picked up Chika in her arms to jump away, but Flymon grabbed both of them with one of his feet, clutching the claws around them.
"CHIKA!" I yelled in shock.
"Eve!" Dorumon called as Flymon flew up with his partner and my little sister.
"Chika!" Mom cried in fear.
"Sunflowmon, rescue them!" Yoshino shouted.
"Right!" Sunflowmon nodded before she flew after the wasp Digimon.
"Smiley Slap!"
Sunflowmon tried to slap Flymon in the face with her hands, but it barely had any effect. The wasp Digimon tackled her down to the ground, causing her to grunt in pain.
"Sunflowmon!" Yoshino called as she rushed to her partner.
"Yoshi, Sunflowmon, watch out!" Agumon shouted from the pen.
"Poison Powder!" Flymon yelled as he flew above the duo and coated them in poisonous powder.
Yoshino tried to stay up on her feet, but she lost her balance and collapsed on the ground next to Sunflowmon.
"Yoshi!" I called, worried about my colleague.
"Boss, I need to digivolve!" Agumon said.
"Right, let's do it!" I nodded as I picked up my Digivice. "DigiSoul Charge!" I placed my hand on top of the device, but nothing happened. "What the?!"
"What's wrong?" Agumon asked.
"I don't know! My DigiSoul won't activate in the way Yoshi's did!" I said as I stared at my non-glowing hand in disbelief.
Flymon kicked Sunflowmon with his unoccupied foot and pushed her back to the concrete when she tried to get up. Dorumon fired several iron spheres at the wasp Digimon, but they only bounced back with no effect.
"Chika!" Mom yelled worriedly.
"MOM! MASARU!" Chika yelled from Eve's arms.
"That's it!" I growled as I rushed forward.
"Boss, wait!" Agumon called, but I ignored him.
I ran over to Yoshino who still laid on the ground due to the effect of Flymon's Poison Powder, but my eyes were on the rotten Champion Digimon who dared to put my family in danger.
"Masaru, stay back…", Yoshino grunted as she used her fists to push herself up, but her body was shaking. "You can't handle this… Leave it to the professionals-"
"No way! I'm not staying back!" I told her furiously as I kept my eyes at Flymon. "I'm never running away when my family's in danger! As the ultimate fighter, I'll keep fighting until I'm sure the threat towards my family is gone, even if it means I must break a bone or two!"
My love for my mother and little sister meant so much to me that I never noticed how my right hand began sparkling. All I had in mind was to punch Flymon with everything in my might to make him let go of Chika and Eve.
"IT'S FIGHTING TIME!" I roared as I ran forward.
Flymon heard me yelling and saw me running toward him, so he flew towards me with his mouth open. I knew he was going to try and eat me, but that was going to change. I jumped up and threw my right fist on his face, dodging his mouth. At the impact, I noticed my DigiSoul was active. The wasp Digimon yelped in pain as he opened his left foot and let go of Eve and Chika. I was falling back to the ground as I saw the girls falling, Eve still holding Chika tight in her arms.
"Eve! Chika!" I called worriedly.
Sunflowmon managed to push her up and threw herself forward with her hands stretched out. She caught the girls before they could crash on the ground, but the sunflower Digimon landed on her stomach and couldn't get up due to her weak condition.
I let out a huge sigh of relief as I landed in a crouch with my fist still sparkling in DigiSoul. "Thanks, Sunflowmon! Leave the rest to us!" I turned to Agumon who looked excited. "Ready for a round, pal?"
"Yeah!" Agumon nodded with a smile.
I grinned before I grabbed my Digivice once again. "DigiSoul Charge!"
"Agumon digivolve to…GeoGreymon!"
GeoGreymon broke through the animal pen and stomped to the middle of the schoolyard to face Flymon. The wasp Digimon flew towards him and tried tackling him back while it spread another cloud of Poison Powder. My partner resisted the effect of Poison Powder and threw Flymon down to the ground. Before the rogue Digimon could fly up to escape, GeoGreymon held him down by one foot, causing Flymon to struggle to get away.
"Mega Flame!" GeoGreymon called before he breathed fire at the insect Digimon.
Flymon got caught on fire and cried in pain before his body shattered into digital particles that shapeshifted into a lime green Digi-Egg with purple wave marks. Dorumon and Mom rushed to Sunflowmon as she digivolved back to Lalamon at the same time as GeoGreymon digivolved to Agumon.
I went over to Yoshino and helped her up since her body was still numb. "You okay, Yoshi?"
"Y-Yeah…", Yoshino nodded weakly as I put her left arm around my shoulders and held her by her waist with my right hand.
We walked over to the others as Mom was busy hugging Chika and Dorumon nuzzled onto Eve as she held Lalamon in her arms, the plant Digimon still weak after the battle. I put Yoshino down to the ground as Eve gave her Lalamon before I turned to my family.
"Chika, are you okay?" I asked as Agumon stood next to me.
Mom let go of my little sister so she could hug me around the waist. "Y-Yeah…", her shoulders shook a bit before she looked up at me with a teary smile. "Thank you for saving me and Big Sister, Masaru, Agumon."
"Big Sister…? Me…?" Eve mumbled in the background.
I shook my head softly. "We didn't do all the work." I turned to Yoshino who cradled Lalamon who was now awake. "Yoshi and Lalamon helped out too. Thanks for saving Chika and Eve, Lalamon."
Yoshino looked a bit surprised by my words, but gave me a hesitant smile. "N-No problem…"
"You're welcome…", Lalamon smiled weakly as she waved one of her short arms.
I turned my eyes on Eve who got up on her feet. "You okay, Eve?"
"I'm okay, Masaru", she nodded as she gave me a smile.
"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you, Eve…", Dorumon whined sadly.
Eve patted his head with a small smile. "Don't apologize, Dorumon. I was the one who pushed you and Sayuri out of harm's way so you wouldn't get hurt by Flymon."
"I'm so glad no one got hurt", Mom said before she looked at the destruction on the schoolyard. "But… Who will take care of this mess?"
"Oops…", I cold sweated in fear. "Don't tell me I've got to deal with it?"
"Of course not, Masaru", Eve shook her head as she picked up her DATS mono-headset. "DATS always have a construction team ready to fix all the damage and leave no traces of a battle with a rogue Digimon behind."
I sighed in relief before another question popped up. "Wait, what about the kid?"
I ran back to the shed and picked up Takashi who was still unconscious. I walked back to the group as Eve spoke to Commander through the headset. Chika and Mom joined me as they looked worriedly at the boy.
"What happened to Takashi?" Chika wondered.
"He was the one who hid a Digimon and that Digimon attacked the animal pen", Yoshino explained, sounding a bit stronger, as she stood up. "But we need to erase his memories about the Digimon."
The woman walked over to me as she picked up a white electric toothbrush-shaped device, except it had no brush. It was the memory eraser that we DATS officers had to use on people who had seen Digimon, so we could keep the digital monsters a secret.
Takashi woke up soon, but Yoshino used the memory eraser, causing him to faint again. I made sure to turn my head away and not look at the light from the device. As soon as it was over, a construction team arrived to the school and Mom, Chika, Agumon, and I left to bring Takashi back to his house and go home.
My heart pumped in relief, knowing that nothing bad happened to Chika and Mom. I would never be able to forgive myself if they got hurt. I was going to protect them with Agumon forever!
