(BUTCH'S POV):

Monstrous green eyes...Haunting me, corrupting me...I despised them every time I saw their chilling gaze...

"Listen to me when I say this to you. Don't take me lightly. I am more a part of you than you may think."

"Why's that? You gonna take over my body or something? I can promise you that it won't be so easy this time around."

"Where is that confidence coming from? You don't actually think you have all the power in this situation, do you? You can't even handle your own emotions let alone me."

"You're nothing but a phantom locked away inside of my mind while I'm the real deal. When all is said and done, I'll be the one with the crazy strength and you'll be nothing more than a fading memory."

Two white doors appeared from within the darkness. I turned towards the door on the right and opened it.

"Enjoy this peace while you still have it. I promise that I'll have this body all to myself. At the rate you're going it's only a matter of time."

"Clocks ticking down for you as well, asshole. Enjoy tormenting me while you still can. Nothing is going to change me ever again." I stepped outside, exiting the darkness completely and left the eyes to be alone.

My own set of eyes shot open as a fierce kick snapped my head to the side. I picked myself up off of the carpeted floor and sneered at the sight of my blonde brother spread out on top of his dirty, blue shirt. He was snoring with a stream of drool falling from his lips.

"You've gotta be kidding me." I shook my head and left the room. In the bathroom was Brick, who decided to wash his face in the sink. "Yo! I gotta use the can so you mind stepping out for a minute?"

"Can't you see I'm in the middle of something? I have to look decent for my first day."

"You can't be this excited for school. I mean, it's just a bunch of powerless losers that think they're worth more than they really are."

He looked at me with a deadpan expression. "Okay first of all, that is definitely not true. Second, having powers has nothing to do with anything. We aren't gonna be using ours so what the hell would it matter?"

I shook my head. "So if someone comes up to us with a tough guy mentality are we supposed to just let it go?"

"YES! I don't want you fighting, whether it's with or without your powers! I've been waiting for this day and you're not about to ruin it for me!"

"Whatever you say Brick. JUST HURRY UP AND GET OUT! I really gotta pee, dude!"

After waking Boomer up and getting dressed in our same clothes, we started our journey to HIGHSCHOOL! The place where we honestly shouldn't have been going to but society says otherwise. This was a stupid idea but Brick just had to go with it!

The location wasn't hard to find. It was one of the biggest freaking schools in the country. Had a fairly good reputation too. I guess having the Powerpuff Girls attending really got the word out. It didn't matter to me. None of this did. I legit didn't want to be here. Surrounded by all of these people. Most of which either knew of us and would be afraid or didn't and would try something stupid. It was a lose lose situation.

We touched down in the front of the large, white building in front of literally EVERYONE. We already were attracting a bunch of unnecessary attention. Yeah, three random guys just falling from the goddamn sky. That's completely normal!

Brick was too amazed at the sight of the building and Boomer was introducing himself to literally everyone that walked past.

"Come on you guys! Let's go register!" Brick said with a smile that actually freaked me out. He dragged us inside to the principal's office and wasted no time introducing us.

"Ah the Jojo's. I had received word that you were attending our lovely school today. I've been notified of your reform in the juvenile correctional center. I do hope that means you have turned over a new leaf."

"Yes sir! We are changed men. We are here to receive a proper education!"

I narrowed my eyes at Brick. This new enthusiastically happy version of him was beyond creepy.

"Very good!" He opened a drawer underneath his desk and handed us each a sheet of paper. It had a list of classes, room numbers, and times for each. This had to be our schedule.

"Wait! Why are some of these blank?" Boomer asked.

"Good question young lad! Why those are going to be where your electives will go. You may pick one for the current semester. Keep in mind that some choices may be filled up as other students have already picked."

I looked at some of the electives I could pick. I was torn between PE and wood tech. After about five minutes of thinking about it, I opted for physical education. Might as well guarantee at least one good grade for myself.

"I'll take Intro to Music! I bet I'll look so cool playing guitar!" Boomer said with a twinkle in his eyes.

"Well I'm going to double up on my science courses. I'll take Physics." Brick said happily.

"Why would you even-" I decided to just drop it. "You know what? I don't really care."

"Very good gentlemen! I hope to give you a good opportunity to expand yourselves! Make these years count! You see, when I was your age-"

*Knock Knock Knock*

"Um Principle Wallace, I'm here to escort them to the gymnasium in order to get their uniforms." Blossom said with a polite bow.

"Oh! Ms. Utonium! Why yes, please take them to be outfitted."

We quickly made our way out the office to avoid whatever story that old wind bag was about to tell.

"I hope things aren't too overwhelming for you guys. I know our school can be a bit much in terms of size. There is a lot to do here though."

"Yeah Blossom, it's amazing! This entire place is even better than I pictured it." Brick said back to her.

As we pressed on towards the gym, she continued explaining where things were and how we were supposed to act. It was pretty nice just hearing her talk with so much passion in her voice. She really did care about this place. Maybe I should try to as well. I mean, it couldn't hurt to try. Especially if it made her happy...Why did I...God I'm thinking too much into this! I'm starting to piss myself off now.

"Alright you guys, this is it! If you head towards the back, you'll find the school store. That's where you can get your uniforms and school IDs."

"There's a store in here?! What do they sell?" Boomer asked.

"Just some school supplies, clothing with our school's logos, and some snacks."

"That's awesome! Too bad I only have five cents…" Boomer groaned.

"Well anyway, you guys go get set and head to your first period classes. I have to head over to AP calculus." She said with a smile bright enough to make anyone feel good.

"Wait AP calculus?" Brick asked.

I sighed. "Yes Brick. The smart people class."

He brushed me off and resumed his question. "How do you get into the AP classes?"

"You just have to take your placement test. That'll determine your course level. They do them in the library if you want to try it out." She glanced at the clock and started to panic. "I gotta go! I'll see you guys at lunch!"

I watched as she ran off. To say that she was pretty would be like saying the sun was hot. It was all too noticeable to be considered a simple ass possibility.

"Hello! Earth to Brick and Butch! Move your asses! We need our new clothes!" Boomer yelled.

I snapped out of it just as Brick did. He looked at me with a bit of harshness and I returned it. I don't know what came over us but I wasn't gonna show weakness in front of him. No way in hell was that happening.

"Yeah Butch, let's just grab our stuff and go."

Thankfully the store had different options for what to wear as our primary uniform. Brick ended up in a black student blazer and an orange button up with a dark purple tie. Considering the school colors were purple and orange, he was stuck with a baseball cap to match. Boomer decided to wear a purple sweater vest with a white long sleeve dress shirt and some khakis.

As for me, I kind of did my own thing. I simply wore an orange short sleeve collared shirt, a pair of purple wristbands and black slacks. I didn't care for either of these colors but I didn't have a choice.

Boomer started rubbing his vest lovingly. "I feel so professional!"

"We should probably head to our classes. You guys know where to go?" Boomer and I nodded. "Alright then. Get to it, and stay out of trouble."

"Tch, you two Mr. Anger Management."

Boomer let out a chuckle. "Nice one Butch."

"Would you two just go!"

We all split up and made our way to the first period class of the day. I had accelerated history with Mrs. O'Hara in room 305. As soon as I entered the doorway the fuckery began.

"Oh my! Our newest addition to our class has arrived! Quiet down everyone and allow Mr. Jojo to introduce himself."

I was at the front of the class with everyone watching me. That included the fat woman on my right side. I hated it so much. I don't even know why I was starting to get all nervous.

"WOOOOOOO!!! YOU CAN DO IT BUTCH!" I heard a familiar voice shout from the back. My eyes scanned the room until they settled on a recognizable blonde haired girl.

Oh geez! She's in this class too? Oh well. At least it isn't Buttercup. I might've banged my head through the chalkboard behind me if I saw her here. Then again...She'd probably keep me entertained.

"So my name is Butch Jojo and I'm a Rowdyruff Boy." I heard a couple of gasps and a few snickers around the class. "I'm not a villain anymore. I'm just trying to live my life, so there you go." I said in the most bland tone of voice possible.

"Thank you so much for sharing Butch. Now, we were just in the middle of reading about the Civil War. Take a textbook and open it to page 473. Feel free to sit wherever you'd like."

I did as she asked and walked over to the seat by the window. Coincidentally, it was directly in front of Bubbles' desk. I definitely didn't want one of the front row seats so this was the best choice. I sat down and opened the book to the correct page and looked down at the contents. Nothing but a bunch of crap that I didn't care about. What a freaking joy.

I felt something poke my back and turned around. "What do you want?"

"Nothing. Just seeing if you'd respond." She smiled at me which left me a bit annoyed.

"Yeah? Well I'm about to just go right the hell to sleep."

She giggled quietly before passing me a sheet of paper. "Those are the notes from the chapter. Just copy those down and you'll be good for the rest of the class."

Now I felt like an idiot. I definitely didn't have any supplies for school. I can't believe Brick didn't think about that! "Look Bubs, I don't have a pencil or paper so I'm shit outta luck."

She placed a finger on her chin as if she was actually thinking hard about something. "Okay, I'll tell you what. Give me your chocolate milk at lunch and I'll let you keep the notes."

Was this girl serious? "Are you exploiting the fact that I'm basically dirt poor right now?"

"What? No way! I'd never do something like that...Is it working?"

I glared at her. "I don't know...Fine whatever! You can have it! I don't even like milk."

"Great! I think that things will work out great for us then." She smiled in a way that made me slightly worried for the future.

Class blew by with me barely doing anything but looking over the notes that Bubbles gave me. It was pretty simple stuff that made me borderline pissed that I didn't have a pencil. Luckily the blonde girl gave me one in exchange for half my fucking lunch. I don't know what the hell is with her. She might've been more evil then prime time me! Robbing a broke person was low especially for a freaking Powerpuff!

The bell finally rang and I stuffed the pencil in my pocket along with the notes. Bubbles followed me out and decided to help me find my next class.

"There! English with Mr. Ponds. Should be easy. He's a really nice teacher so don't screw it up okay?"

"You are a lot more cynical than people think." I said with a mild glare.

She pinched my cheek and started to pout in my face. "Aww! You might've just hurt my feelings. I'm sure your food will make the pain go away though."

"Screw off already." I grumbled.

"Bye Butch! See you at lunch!" She said as she skipped down the hell.

I sighed. "Unbelievable…" I was hopeful when Blossom said it. With her, I felt like I just got taken advantage of. I shook my head and walked into the classroom and took a seat somewhere while more and more students flooded in.

"Yes, oh yes students please come on in and take a seat. I will be right back. Nature is calling my name at this very moment!" The grown man with wavy, jet black hair ran off in a hurry.

I placed my pencil on my desk and sat patiently waiting for class to start. I felt a hand grab my shoulder and tensed up. I turned my head and stared up and a guy with light brown hair. His dark eyes looking down at me like I was a piece of trash. His stupid grin made me want to pull out his jagged teeth.

"You wanna explain to me why you're sitting in my chair, new kid. You'd better move it or else!"

I couldn't help but laugh at this guy as he tried to intimidate me. "This has to be a joke, right? As a matter of fact, go ahead. Show me what'll happen if I don't get up."

"Listen to me pal! You don't wanna get on my bad side. I'll make your life here more miserable than you could even imagine!"

I scoffed at his empty threat. "Trust me when I say this to you, I DO NOT care."

"Do you know who I am?" He asked.

All I could do was grin. "Do you know who I am?"

One of the three guys behind him chose to speak up in defense of this clown. "You can't talk that way about Mitch. He's best friends with Buttercup!"

"That's right! You don't want the toughest girl in school to beat your ass do ya?"

"So your name is Mitch? Congrats Mitch on your upcoming funeral that's definitely gonna happen if you don't get out of my face."

His frown grew and I could tell that he was about to punch me. He can have a free hit. He'll probably just break his hand anyway.

"Are you deaf? You know what? I'm gonna-"

"Mitch, the teach is coming back man." Another guy said.

"You got lucky bro. Just you wait until lunch." He let go of me and stormed off to the other side of the class.

"Alright class! Pardon my slight delay. That breakfast burrito must have found the exit early. Now! I see we have a new face. Tell us your name please!"

"The name's Butch Jojo." I said plainly.

"One of the Rowdyruffs. I see...Well so long as you aren't a disturbance to the productivity of the class then I don't care if you were the Devil himself. Now are you familiar with The Great Gatsby?"

"What's a Gatsby?" I asked.

"Ah yes, so The Great Gatsby is a novel written by Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald. It is a tragic tale of love! Love built upon lies and one's true identity! Their upbringing! It is a marvelous book that we are currently in the process of reading." He tossed me one of the books. "We aren't too far in just yet so catching up shouldn't be too much of a hassle."

"Okay I guess."

"Now class, let us get into the comprehension questions from last night!"

This class in particular wasn't too bad. It was actually kind of peaceful minus the dickhead in the beginning. Things were just super chill. The book itself was actually really engaging. I thought I'd be bored but I was invested into this whole literature thing.

I was so busy reading that I hadn't noticed that the bell had rang and all the other students had left.

"Mr. Jojo you're still here?"

"Huh? Oh uh, my bad Mr. Ponds. I lost track of time."

"No Mr. Jojo, do not apologize for being enthralled with the culture of sophisticated reading. Why, that is a blessing! I am glad that your first book in my class is so intriguing to you. However, your time in this room has come to an end I'm afraid, but be not weary! For tomorrow we shall pick this up yet again! Be sure to read up to chapter four. We will have a short quiz to check your active reading. Now you are dismissed my good sir."

I left the room and checked my schedule. I had something called study hall in room 206. Right after that was lunch. I wasn't sure what study hall meant but I started to make my way towards it anyway.

I noticed that I was getting a lot of stares from onlookers as I moved throughout the halls. Some of them turned away when I glared back but others didn't care. It was very annoying to have to deal with.

"Hey! Excuse me!" I heard someone shout. The voice was easily able to trigger my entire existence into oblivion. I decided to just keep walking and ignore it.

"HELLOOOOOO?!?! ARE YOU FREAKING DEAF?!"

I kept walking until a hand firmly grabbed my shirt. "Did you not hear me calling you or something?"

I sent a menacing glance to the girl behind me. She looked familiar but I wasn't too sure. Freckles...curly puff ball hairstyle...annoying voice...Oh goddammit!

"Don't tell me…"

"Don't act like you don't remember me Butch! I mean c'mon! I WAS your first girlfriend you know!"

"Princess that was like how many years ago? We were dumb little kids and none of that counted at all! It lasted like two weeks! I don't even think we held hands. Not that I'd ever want to."

"How dare you! You would really throw away everything we had like that?"

I rolled my eyes. "You dumped me and went to Brick. Fuck off!"

"I was young. I didn't know any better! Besides, that stupid redheaded dork keeps ignoring me!"

"And yet for some odd reason you felt the need to come and pester me?"

"I just want my bad boy back is all." She put her hands on my shoulder and moved in to kiss me.

I gently pushed her off of me and stepped back with a disgusted look. "Do not EVER try that again. I'm not your little boy toy so go bother someone else."

"Oh I get it! You're in love with one of those stupid Powerpuffs! That explains why you guys are at this school and why everyone is saying you're all going the hero route!"

"Shut up, Princess. I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Which one is it? That tomboy counterpart of yours? She probably likes other girls you know. I wouldn't even bother with her." I don't know why that statement pissed me off the way that it did. It's like she lit a fire in my chest.

I grit my teeth. "I told you to shut the hell up."

"Maybe the blonde bimbo? No way! She's way too nice and sweet for a destructive brute like you." She started snickering to herself. "It couldn't possibly be the pink leader now could it?"

"Stop it!" I growled. This was getting out of hand and people were starting to crowd around.

"Why the hell would you even attempt to like someone like her? You're the last person she'd ever think of having feelings for. She's a perfectionist. The queen of everything nice! BLEH! There is no chance an evil mess like you and her would ever work out. Your brothers have a better chance than your sorry ass! At least they have positive emotions! You're either angry or depressed! Sometimes you don't even feel anything at all!"

"HOW THE FUCK WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT THE HELL I'M FEELING?!" I snapped again. I didn't even want to. She just wouldn't shut up. She just kept talking all the goddamn time! "I SHOULD JUST RIP YOU-"

"Just like I said! You still have no control!"

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before running away from the crowd and into the men's restroom.

I hovered over the sink and stared at my own reflection in the mirror. Those same green eyes that made me sick. Without thinking, I hurled my fist towards the distraught face, shattering the monstrous image of myself. I hated it so much.

I just wanted to disappear from existence. Too bad I didn't have invisibility as one of my powers. I could just up and vanish without a trace. It would be better than dealing with this crap! I know that it's a mistake! I know that I shouldn't expect much from Blossom of all people. I just can't help it. I wish things would just fix themselves but I knew they wouldn't. She's probably out of my league.

I slapped some water on my face headed back out into the halls. My study hall class started in two minutes. Luckily I was already close by.

Much to my relief, the class wasn't really anything serious. Just a period used to study, finish homework, and just relax. I was grateful for that. This was about to be a great forty minute nap.

Much to my dismay, I was interrupted by someone that threw a piece of paper at me. I lifted my head up and searched for whoever was ready to die.

"Hey bro! You look stressed. Are you alright?" Boomer asked.

I sighed with relief and put my head back down. "No Boomer…"

"Is it something I can help with?"

"No Boomer…"

"Oh...Well you wanna talk about it?"

"Dude! No I do not!" I snarled with irritation.

"Oh...Well can we talk about MY day so far?" He asked, hopefully.

He just wouldn't quit. "Fine Boomer! How was your day?" I asked with a sarcastically happy voice.

"Dude it was the best! Check it out!" He slammed multiple small pieces of paper on my desk.

"What the hell is all this?"

"Numbers bro! I think the ladies really like me man! I got called cute and adorable like all day! Some guy in the game club asked me to join them too. That was the first time I've ever played on a GameStation before! Did you know that a fifth one is coming out soon? We GOTTA get one man!"

As much as I wanted to keep being bummed out, a smile made its way across my face. "That's what's up, Boom. I'm glad you're having a good time."

"Yeah man! I thought school would be a bunch of books and tests, but it's actually filled with some real nice people and cool stuff to do."

"That's good to hear. Also, where's Brick? Does he not have a study hall or something?" I asked.

"He does, it's just that he's in the library taking that placement test. I guess he really wants to be in the smart classes like Blossom."

My eyes widened. "For real?!" I stood up and ran out of the classroom. Boomer trailed behind calling out to me.

Once we got to the library, Brick was already on his way out. He had a grin on his face and his arms behind his head. When he noticed us, his grin grew even more.

"Guess who just got moved up to another level?"

"You passed?" I asked with disbelief.

"Of course my naive little brother. It was way too easy. Apparently, I have the third highest score in the state. Right below Blossom! I had a feeling I was a genius but, who knew I was THIS smart?"

Boomer chuckled. "That's great Brick! You're like a super nerd now!"

Brick jabbed him and continued. "Starting tomorrow, we'll be sharing two of our classes together."

Every word that came out his mouth was like a hot slap to the face. I wasn't one hundred percent sure of it, but I had a strong feeling that Brick was crushing on his counterpart. I didn't want to admit it either but I couldn't deny my attraction to her. I mean, the talk she gave me years ago still played in my head as if it were yesterday. She was special. Obviously all three of the Puffs were good looking and had amazing qualities. I admired them all for different reasons. Blossom just seemed like the one who could really save me from myself. I felt like I needed her. Whatever Brick's reasons were, I didn't care. I wasn't gonna just let him spend all the time with her.

"How long is the test?" I asked with more hostility than I meant to.

"Eighty-five questions. All multiple choice."

"How much longer is our study hall?"

"Twenty seven minutes…Wait, why the hell are you so determined to know about the placement test?" Brick asked. He was perceptive. Always was and probably always will be.

"Because I'm gonna take it too."

"You?! Yeah freaking right! There is no way in hell you're going to score high enough to advance. You didn't even want to do this school stuff so why start caring all of a sudden?"

"It's none of your goddamn business!"

"Well then make it my business!" He barked back at me.

Boomer patted us both and tried to cool us down. "Alright guys, chill out. Who cares about some dumb test anyway? Am I right?"

"Yeah Butch...Why would you even care about it? What's motivating you? Better yet, WHO'S motivating you?"

"I don't have to explain anything to either of you! I'm taking that test!" I said before storming off into the library.

I walked up to who I assumed was a test proctor and asked them if I could take the stupid thing. The lady nodded and brought me over to a computer. As soon as the test flashed on screen. I got started.

It was over before I knew it. After twenty-one minutes, I had finally finished the test and I was now waiting for it to show me my score. When it finally loaded up my results, I nearly jumped out of my seat.

I looked at the screen with a broken glare. I felt like I was doing so well. I had an average score. Not below average, but damn sure not proficient or advanced. I was just...average…

"It's okay Mr. Jojo! Very few score proficient let alone advanced on this test. You shouldn't be ashamed to have an average score." The woman said.

I know she was trying to help, but saying that I'm just average wasn't a good thing. Not if I wanted to stick it to Brick and prove to Pinky that I can be worth her time. Maybe I wasn't. Maybe that spoiled bitch was right about me. All I've ever really known was violence and anger. I don't even understand how Brick came out the way he did. It wasn't fair!

*RRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGGGG*

That was the lunch bell. It was time for me to go and be average somewhere else. I grabbed the printed out sheet of my score and left the library.

Most of the other students had already been in the cafeteria. I could tell because the closer I got, the louder it was. The minute I opened the doors, I was met with multiple sets of eyes yet again.

Thankfully Boomer grabbed me by the arm and pulled me over to a large table. Brick was already waiting with the girls and a few other people at the table.

I couldn't shake the feeling in my chest at the sight of how close Brick was sitting next to Blossom. It was like he seized every second with her. No matter how hard I tried to forget the whole thing, it still bothered me.

"Hey! You didn't forget did you?" Bubbles said with her arms crossed.

I sighed and shook my head. "No...I didn't…"

She quickly stood up and smiled. "Good! Let's go!"

She grabbed my hand and practically dragged across the cafeteria and into the lunch line. "What do you even want?" She looked at all of her options before pointing to the burger and fries. "Really? I thought you'd want a salad or something."

She smacked my arm and pouted again. "I'll have you know that I eat whatever I want to. I don't need something as lame as a stupid salad! I'm perfectly in shape either way."

"Yeah whatever." I grabbed the dumb platter that admittedly smelled pretty damn good along with a chocolate milk and brought it back to the table with Bubbles nagging me about not dropping any of it.

"Alright so we'll split the fries and go half on the burger." She said while already grabbing most of my fries.

"You guys are sharing your lunch?" Boomer asked me with what seemed like disappointment.

"Relax dumbass. I owe her for lending me her stupid pencil."

She swallowed her food and nodded. "Also my notes. Butch is kind of an idiot."

"You got that right…" Buttercup snorted. I simply sent a glare her way and flipped her the bird.

"Speaking of Butch being retarded. How did that test go little bro?" Brick asked with a raised brow.

Just like that, I was back on edge. He knew exactly what he was doing. "Fuck you Brick!"

"Language guys." Blossom added.

"So you didn't score high?"

"Will you knock it the fuck off Brick!"

"Uh oh...Here we go again." Boomer sighed.

"What are you guys even talking about?" Blossom asked. I couldn't respond in time. Brick had already beaten me to it.

"He went to go take the placement test. He refuses to say why though. Probably because he knew he'd screw it up."

"Will you fucking stop!" I shouted. I could feel people looking and I could hear them whispering.

Buttercup shrugged. "Who the hell cares about that stupid thing? It's not like it really matters."

I sighed. "It did to me."

"What did you score dude? Was it proficient? Trust me man, that's not bad at all." Boomer asked.

"I was average." I growled. It still felt bitter.

"Wow...That's uh...Damn! I mean, I bet I'd get a below average if I-"

"Just shut the hell up Boomer."

That's when Blossom decide to open her mouth. "It's nothing to be ashamed of Butch. It just means you have more room to grow. I'm sure that you'll get proficient the next time you take it. Brick can even tutor you."

"Yeah Butch! I could tutor. I wouldn't mind at all. Anything for my little siblings."

And there it is! The nail in the coffin. I felt like less of a man now. The piece of shit was probably loving every word of this.

"Yeah! That's a great idea! You'd get a WAY higher grade with Bricks help." Boomer said happily.

"No! I don't want his shitty ass help!"

"Why not little bro? I could really bump that score up for you."

"I said no! Now piss the hell off!"

"Geez, what's your deal today? You're more moody than ever." BC spoke. God! Everyone here was getting on my nerves.

I felt my stomach growl and decided to go for some of my food. Only problem was that my tray was fucking empty! I shifted my eyes over to Bubbles who smiled nervously at me.

"Sorry about that Butch. I kind of got carried away."

"You know what? FORGET IT!" I shouted as I slammed my hands on the table and stomped out of the cafeteria. Just my luck! I was pissed off AND starving! This day was just the freaking definition of FANTASTIC!

On my way out, Mitch and his dumbass friends made an attempt to cut me off. After one good look at my eyes, he backed off. Smart play by him. He was one second away from losing all of his teeth.

My next class was PE and I was just about ready to destroy anyone in anything that we did. The PE teacher was surprised to see me there so early but ended up letting me inside the gymnasium. He got me a gym uniform which was an orange t-shirt with purple basketball shorts. Something I was more than happy to wear.

I warmed up with some stretches before everyone else finally got to the gym. Buttercup was of course among the students in the class. I had to admit, she did look good in her gym clothes. The t-shirt and short shorts did wonders for her athletic yet feminine build. You could tell that she lived for this.

"All right class, on the line! We're gonna start with laps around the gym and then we'll get into the sport of the day which is going to be basketball. Now on my mark, get set, MOVE!"

Everyone took off without fail. Many students were slowing their pace while others such as myself pushed faster. Naturally Butters and I were leading the pack even without our powers. We didn't really need them. We had superhuman endurance so this kind of stuff was a piece of cake.

"So you all good now?" She asked from my left side as we hit a right turn.

"Am I good? Whatever do you mean?"

"Don't be like that. You were super pissed earlier. Was it the food thing with Bubbles?"

"Yeah sure…"

"Yeah Bubbles is like a bottomless pit. Probably should've warned you about that."

"It doesn't really matter. I don't care."

She started laughing for some reason. "Yeah right! You were about to flip your shit dude. I bet you're totally starving right now."

Why did she insist on doing this to me all the time? I didn't understand her. She always knew exactly how to get to me. Then an idea hit me. I could probably get to her as well.

"You know what? I AM pretty hungry. After school, I might just hit up a café."

Her eyes showed blatant fear. "You can't! I mean...Why a café of all places?"

"I don't know. I've never been to one before. Might as well try the one close to the school. It could be nice." I smirked.

"You son of a bitch! I swear if you come anywhere near that place, I'll rip off your nuts and spoon feed them to you."

I winked at her. "Hey now! That's sexual harassment. Do I need to tell someone about that?"

"Butch, I mean it! Don't go! Seriously!"

"See you there Butterbutt. I'll be looking forward to it." I increased my speed and left her standing there dumbfounded. I might actually pay that place a visit now. Just for the sake of screwing with her. I don't know why but she really is like a mixed bag. She either aggravates me to the point where I want to commit homicide or brings me laughter whenever I get on her nerves. She made me very confused.

The class went by with relatively nothing problematic at all. Basketball was fun for the most part and I thoroughly enjoyed being out of a seat for once. Overall, this was a pretty good class. I couldn't complain. Definitely the highpoint so far.

It was too bad physical education remained the peak of my enjoyment at this place. Last and absolutely fucking least was math. More specifically geometry. The thought of anything math related made me want to bang my head on a wall. This class in particular was terrible. The teacher Mrs. Alanzo was THE most boring teacher out of all my classes. She barely taught anything. She just left a PowerPoint on the smart board and told us to read the textbook. This shit class was corny as hell. I wanted out of it ASAP!

They way she droned on about shapes and how I should appreciate them or something was just torture at this point. It was like the woman had no soul. I don't know who's sorry ass thought that polygon based math was necessary in life but so help me, if I find them or any of their descendants, I'm going back to jail for third degree murder.

To be honest, that bell couldn't have rang any sooner. She said something about finishing homework that I was more than likely not gonna do. Either way, I ended up stuffing like the tenth sheet of paper into my pants pocket. I desperately needed a backpack.

I pretty much sprinted to the front doors when a hand shot out and grabbed me. When I turned back and saw Brick looking me dead in the eyes, I lost every ounce of joy in my body.

"I gotta talk to you for a second."

"Go talk to someone else. I'm busy trying to leave this stupid place and you're making that REALLY difficult right now."

He shook his head and tightened his grip. "Just listen to me really quick. I'm not heading back with you and Boomer today. I've got a club to go to and it doesn't end until six."

"That's great and all but, why should I care?"

"Well it's just that you two should probably take this time to look for a job or something. You know...To make money?"

"So while I'm looking for work, you're going to be at some stupid club? How the hell does that sound fair to you?" I asked.

"It's just for today. Obviously I'm gonna go job hunting too. Just not right now."

"What club is so important that you can't help get a job?"

He scratched the back of his head like he was embarrassed about something. "Dude that's really not the point."

"It kind of is the point, smart guy! Now what is it?"

"The cooking club…" He sighed.

I would have laughed if not for two reasons. One, I already had a feeling as to why he would even join that club to begin with. Two, he was making me and Boomer look for jobs while he stayed here because of it.

All I could do was shoot him a nasty look. "You are NOT serious right now."

"Please! Just do this for me today and I'll get one first thing after school tomorrow. I'm pretty sure you and Boomer can manage that!"

Boomer suddenly came over and patted our backs. "No can do fellas. I've got a club today."

"What are you-" Then I remembered what he meant. "The gaming club. You did tell me that earlier."

"Yep! I get to try out some of the handhelds today!"

"So I guess it's all up to me then. What a load of bullcrap."

"Quit being such a baby. So what we have clubs and you don't." Brick said as he ruffled my somewhat spiky hair.

I smacked his hand away and opened the doors. "Fuck you Brick. I hope your little cooking date with Pinky goes to shit."

I saw the red spread to his cheeks and decided to just leave after that. What the hell should I care for? It's not like it meant anything right? I mean, it's just a cooking club so nothing will even happen. Brick can't cook to save his life. She'll probably have to clean up some wild mess he makes.

"Hold on Butch!" Boomer ran over with a small card in his hands. "Take this before you go." I grabbed it and saw that it was a coupon for a free pastry with any purchase of coffee. "Bubbles told me to give that to you. To make up for your lunch I guess."

I suppose I really am going to that café then. "Thanks Boom. I think I'll head there now."

"Yeah, no problem." Before he left he gave me a tight hug.

"Dude Gross! Get off of me!"

He smiled at me and flashed a thumbs up. "Quit being such a grump all the time. You're a really cool dude so let people know how cool you are."

"What the? Why are you telling me stuff like that?"

He shrugged. "I dunno. You seemed to be dealing with stuff right now. I don't know what it is but I'm sure you'll be fine."

I couldn't help the smirk that had. "Thanks Boom. I don't know how you always know what to say to a guy like me but I appreciate it."

He gave a mock salute. "Good luck with the job search big bro." He headed back inside, leaving me in a way better mood than I had been a few short minutes ago.
