Power Rangers Wonder Force episode 2

Episode 1 part 2: Once Upon A Time Part 2

Arthur awoke the next day, and the Wonder Force Morpher and Red Wolf Charm on his bedside table confirmed to him that the events of the previous day were not a dream. He pocketed them as he prepared to go to school, giving his parents a hug as he rushed out as usual.

As he headed to his locker he wondered aloud, "I wonder when I'm gonna see the others again." Alice Liddell skipped past and gave a cherry, "Hey Arthur." Arthur automatically said, "Hey Alice." A few seconds passed before his brain caught up with his body and he said, "Wait, Alice!"

He ran after the skipping girl and found her in the cafeteria, sitting with Sunny, Snow White, and Jack. Snow saw Arthur and waved to him, and he joined them. Arthur did not mince words and in an even tone asked, "What are you guys doing here?" Snow smiled demurely, "Merlin said we should go to school, seeing as we are stuck in the human world for an indeterminate amount of time. We do need to learn about this world, as most of us are natives of Everafter, and while Alice and Dorothy are from this world both have been away for around a century. And Alice is, well, Alice." Snow pointed to the girl in question, who was currently arguing with the cafeteria lady over whether fish counted as a breakfast food.

Arthur nodded, "I see your point." Then he realized something, "Hey, where is Dorothy?" Sunny, having finished his fifth banana and peeling his sixth answered, "She's starting school next week. She's updating the sensors so we can detect and intercept the Marchen Army before they do too much damage."

Arthur then noticed Gary Hiddleson, a rather beefy boy with dirty red hair, walking into the cafeteria and wanted to warn his friends of the bully, ducking his head down and whispering, "That's Gary Hiddleson, he's bad news. Guys a really bad bully, and he won't hesitate to hurt people. The best plan for you guys is to avoid him." Jack looked up and said, "A bit too late for that. Alice is talking him right now." Arthur looked up and said, "What?"

Sure enough Alice was talking to Gary, and the argument was growing heated. Alice stomped back to the others and said, "That guy makes me so mad!" Steam blew from her ears as the sound of tea kettle whistling was heard. She crossed her arms, puffed her cheeks out and gave a heavy sigh while muttering, "If I had a fish he wouldn't be talking so high and mighty at me. Not even the queen of hearts could muster a high and mighty demeanor after getting fish slapped."

Gary came over and spoke, "Hey Arthur. Guess it's true what they say, freaks of a feather flock together." Jack got up and said, "You can't talk to us like that!" Gary smirked and said, "Oh I can't?" He pulled a punch and laughed when Jack flinched. Snow just grabbed Jack's shoulder and said, "Hey, we should get going. We don't wanna be late for our first classes." They all assented, but Sunny threw his banana peel with a seeming carelessness. Gary laughed and walked away, only to slip on Sunny's banana peel.

Dorothy finished putting the Huntsman Charm in the containment vessel and imputing the coding needed to update her algorithm when a loud honk of a car assaulted her ears. She was unfazed, merely muttering in annoyance, "Drat, that's five times he didn't crash. I owe Merlin five bucks."

The owner of the car entered the Johnson house. He was Mr. Toad, lord of Toad Hall and a survivor of the Marchen Army's assault. Like Sunny, he was now a human in form. He was the very picture of a Victorian gentleman, just as rich and frivolous as he was when he inherited his lordship all those years ago. Whilst often away perusing whatever fad caught his eye, he often visited.

He loudly imitated the horn of a car, "Beep-Beep!" Indeed, whilst his interests were ever shifting his love of cars stayed in place. Admittedly his skills at driving them were a bit better, but over a century of practice would make anyone better at any skill. He yelled out, "Dorothy, you must see this! I just found out about it!"

Mr. Toad produced a fidget spinner from his pocket and started to spin it, "Ain't it impressive?" Dorothy absent mindedly gave an "Uh-huh." Mr. Toad noticed this and asked, "Ok, what is troubling you?" Dorothy explained, "It's my algorithm, I can only get it to detect the Marchen Army when they gather Mayhem Energy, not before. Even with the Huntsman Charm providing a lock on, it's not going to always detect them before they start wreaking havoc." Mr. Toad nodded sagely and said, "Well, sometimes we have to do the best with what we have." Dorothy looked at him and said, "Guess your stint as a motivational speaker wasn't completely forgotten." Mr. Toad blushed a bit and said, "Oh, you know how I dabble."

In the Dark Keep Grizzle and Crusher were arguing in front of Madame Oshka over who was at fault for failing to destroy the rangers, while Little Tailor Marchen was just awkwardly waiting in the corner. Oshka eventually got tired of the bickering and yelled, "Enough!" This shut up both of the Marchen generals while causing Little Tailor to stand at attention.

Oshka sighed and said, "I need my tea." She barked out two names and a question, "Baba! Yaga! Where is my tea?!" Two small beings that a human could mistake for old windup toys the size of a young girl appeared, one carrying a tea set and the other just skipping merrily. These were Baba and Yaga, the personal chiefs of Madame Oshka. The older and smarter of the two, Baba was carrying the tea set, and her face was like a fox's made of the same bronze as her body. The younger was Yaga, identical to her sister save that her face was that of a racoon.

Baba served Madame Oshka a cup of tea, and the imperious regent sipped the calming liquid. After sighing contentedly she made her will known. "These rangers may be a threat, but the collection of Mayhem Energy is paramount. Standard heroic opposition rules apply here, generals are to accompany their Beasts."

Little Tailor spoke up, "I know a building full of people who deserve to be terrorized, I shall give you a lot of Mayhem Energy!" Oshka nodded and said, "Then you and Crusher go do that." Crusher and Little Tailor teleported away as Baba and Yaga began to play.

Arthur cleaned his admittedly nerdy glasses, out of breath from his recent running around and keeping his new friends from causing too much havoc. None of them were normal, and whilst there was absolutely nothing wrong with that there was still a necessity to conform in society, at least enough to not disrupt the delicate balance of civil order.

His new friends did none of this, outright disrupting a lot of things. He probably should have expected this, as none of them had ever been in the human world for at least a century. Sunny had revealed himself to have a massive distaste for footwear of all kinds and an unquenchable thirst for blood, picking fights with everyone who rose his ire and flagrantly disregarding the schools dress code. Snow was very regal, but also believing she deserved to be in charge and get her way. It wasn't in a bratty or even unpleasant way, but it was interfering with schoolwork. Jack was the one who had the least trouble, but his size and cowardice still caused some problems.

The worst had to be Alice, the girl from Wonderland being the reason his normally unathletic body was given such a workout (he thanked his lucky stars that being morphed gave him a massive reserve of strength and skills such as how to fight, otherwise he wouldn't last against even some Tin Troopers). It turned out that Alice's little impossibility's the other day were the absolute least she could do with her Wonderland unlogic. Arthur remembered his father showing him the old looney toon cartoons, and Alice could easily replace Bugs or any other such impossible trickster. He honestly felt like the coyote chasing the roadrunner, beat up and exhausted.

Then Arthur noticed something unusual. Two other students, a guy, and a girl whose names he didn't know, were fighting. This in itself was unusual given how strictly Principal Roden enforced the rules against violence wherever it was seen, but even more strange was the fact that Arthur knew for a fact that they had been dating steadily for many years, and there was no reason for them to fight.

Arthur noticed that many other people were also starting to fight, whether verbally or physically. Adults were fighting other adults and students who were the best of friends mere moments ago were now fighting as if they were lifelong enemies. His Wonder Force Morpher then manifested, and a little screen popped out reading "Marchen Army detected" and pointed him in the direction of the monster that was undoubtedly causing this.

In the cafeteria Gary Hiddleson hid from the monsters. He might be willing to fight, but he knew he was outmatched by those freaks. That fly beast had started sending what looked like flies made of darkness which caused people to fight. Then Arthur and those weird new kids ran up to the monsters and Gary watched, hardly believing the events that were happening in front of him.

Arthur called out, "Its morphin time!" All five rangers inserted there charms into their morphers, activating the transformation sequence. They were in there ranger forms and began the roll call. Arthur shouted first, "The Keeper of the Tales, Wonder Ranger Red!" Alice went next, "The Monarch of Wonderland, Wonder Ranger Blue!" Sunny was next, "The Great Sage conquering the West, Wonder Ranger Yellow!" Snow White went then, "The Fairest Princess, Wonder Ranger White!" Last but not least was Jack, "The Slayer of Giants, Wonder Ranger Black!" All together they shouted, "Full steam ahead! Power Rangers Wonder Force!"

The battle began, with the Rangers forcing the Marchen Army forces out of the school to avoid hurting civilians, for the Little Tailor's dark magic caused all effected to be oblivious to all save the object of their ire. Crusher dueled Sunny and Arthur, the strength of the general meaning the rangers were unable to take him on alone, while Snow and Alice cleared out the Tin Troopers.

Jack was face to face with the Little Tailor Beast, the monster declaring in its buzzing voice, "Lets prove once and for all who the better giant slayer is!" The monster struck Jack with Seven-in-One Stroke Whip, making sure to not to give Jack enough distance to safely fire the Beanzooka, "Spoiler alert, it's gonna be me." Jack tried to hit the monster with the Beanzooka, but missed as the Little Tailor mocked him, "I mean, you slew one giant by accident? I slew scores on purpose! That your tale is better known than mine is an insult! One that I shall correct by your death!"

They fought a bit, until the beast was hit bit the Clock Buster Hammer, Alice and Snow having destroyed the Tin Troopers. Sunny then used the As-You-Will Staff to knock Crusher into the air like a home run. They quickly joined the battle against the Little Tailor Beast. They soon had the monster on the ropes and Arthur yelled out, "Time to end this tale!" The other rangers shouted out, "Right!"

The Rangers shouted in unison, "Wonder Force Blaster!" The Rangers combined there weapons, the Beanzooka formed the main barrel, the As-You-Will Staff and the Whirlwind Blade form the stand and trigger respectively, and the Mirror Shield and Clock Buster Hammer form the outer casing.

The blaster charged up, the Mirror Shield glowing a brilliant gold and the clock faces upon the Clock Buster Hammer ticked until both hands reached the twelve, which on both were replaced with the phrase "Times up."

A beam of golden energy blasted towards Little Tailor, and the image of a wolf appeared in the beam, the energy and the claws sending the Marchen Beast flying. Crusher, who had only just returned from being sent flying, saw his beast on the door of destruction and cried out, "Baba, do your thing!"

A portal to the Dark Woods opened and the rangers saw as the older of Madame Oshka's private chiefs skipped through it. Baba then skipped over to the Little Tailor Marchen and said, "You look like you could use a pick me up. Here, have a cookie!" She handed the beast a cookie with the words "Eat me" written on it in sprinkles.

Alice let out a loud gasp and dropped the Clock Buster Hammer onto Sunny's foot, grabbing onto Arthur and yelling, "That's an Eat Me treat! We are about to a have a big problem!" Alice's prediction came true as Little Tailor ate the cookie. Steam poured from the beasts mouth as it grew giant, proudly shouting, "The giant slayer has become the giant!" He attempted to step on the rangers, but they dodged out of the way. Crusher and Baba escaped back to the Dark Keep through a portal.

Arthur looked to the others and said, "We have zords right?" Snow nodded and said, "Of course." Arthur yelled out, "Ok then, summon the Zords!" All five rangers manifested there morphers and pressed the charms again, each calling out there zords name as they summoned them.

Arthur called out, "Red Wolf Zord!" An armored red wolf manifested, Arthur jumping into its cockpit. Alice called out, "Blue Rabbit Zord!" A blue rabbit with a clock upon its back and its floppy ears being slightly reminiscing of a bulldozer, Alice jumping into its cockpit. Sunny called out, "Yellow Monkey Zord!" A yellow monkey with a strange head reminiscent of a UFO manifested, and Sunny jumped into its cockpit. Snow yelled out, "Apple Dwarf Zord!" A mechanical apple upon tank treads with a turret protruding from it manifested, and Snow jumped into the cockpit. Finally Jack yelled out, "Cloud Giant Zord!" A black ogre manifested and charged forward in a manner reminiscent of the Red Ape Ninja Zord made by Ninjor in times long past.

All the Rangers shouted, "Zords combine!" The Cloud Giant Zord formed the legs and lower torso, while the Red Wolf Zord formed the upper torso, the tail detaching and becoming a sword. The Yellow Monkey Zord became the upper arms while the UFO head became the helmet, now more like the helm of a knight. The Blue Rabbit Zord formed the right forearm, the clock face detaching to become a shield while the arm grabbed the sword. The Apple Dwarf Zord formed the left forearm, the tanks turrets becoming wrist mounted while the shield rested upon it. The Rangers shouted in unison, "Wonder Force Megazord!"

Little Tailor scoffed, "Your still just five, when I can stop seven in one strike!" He struck the Megazord with the whip, tying up the sword. Snow quickly solved the problem by firing the apple core missiles, damaging the Little Tailor, and forcing his whip to undo itself. Soon after they traded a few blows Little Tailor was on the ropes and the rangers decided to finish him off.

In unison the Rangers shouted, "End the Tale! Final Strike!" The Megazord's sword charged up with energy and the Little Tailor Marchen Beast was slashed by the energy infused sword. Sparks flew from the beast as it spoke its last words, "I can squash seven at a time, but five was enough to squash me!" The monster exploded, curing the unfortunate nerd who unknowingly took the Marchen Armies demon deal and giving the Rangers a newly purified charm.

As Arthur closed his locker he was cornered by Gary. Arthur tensed up, ready for a punch. Instead Gary did something unexpected, "Hey, thanks for saving the town from that thing." Arthur opened his eyes and saw Gary looking at him with admiration, "I know you and those new kids are power rangers."

Gary turned away, "I know I've been a jerk for all the time you've known me, but I wanna start making that up to you." Gary left then, and Arthur realized that being a Power Ranger would change his life in so many ways.

All credit goes to Krockman 18, big thanks to him for letting me use his stuff and for beta reading the fic.

Not much else to say here except I will be focusing on getting the first chapter of Krockman 18's other power rangers series out, that being Star Strikers.
