Chapter 3:

"Alright, let's do this but only to prove you wrong." Lucifer sighed before shifting into his devil's face.

Tommy, who had his hands still on the angel's face felt the skin shift from smooth skin to rough, dry skin that had a leathery touch. The skin was the opposite of smooth, "Does it hurt?" Tommy asked, hoping he wasn't hurting the man who had saved his life.

"Not anymore. It hurt for a very long time but the pain stopped millennia ago." Lucifer sighed softly while he leaned into the man's touch. Eve had been the only one that had touched this face with softness but it still didn't give him the same feeling as when this man caressed his monstrous face.

"Can you describe to me what it looks like?" The other man asked while he noticed that his hair had been gone.

"Like a third-degree burned victim I suppose." Lucifer sighed. What was going on with him? How could he trust a man he barely knew, while he had been able to shut everyone out, "My eyes are red now, hellfire dancing inside them."

Tommy was feeling the same thing. How could this angel, fallen or not, break down his walls so fast where no one else ever had succeeded? Bringing up feelings that he had buried the moment he had arrived in Angel Grove. Not even his close friends knew that the once fearless leader wasn't as straight as he put out to be. Every feeling for men he had kept inside until he met Lucifer. For fear that they would hate him just like in the town, he was coming from. There was a reason that he had always been a loner

It was like an outside force that pulled him towards him, gave him the courage to act towards his feelings how strange they may be. He pulled Lucifer, who still wore his devil face towards him and placed his soft lips on Lucifer's dry, broken lips.

The devil gasped and this shocked Tommy so bad that he pulled back, "I am sorry, I am so sorry, I felt chemistry in the air and I acted. Please don't be angry at me. I have hidden feelings for men for so long." Tommy pulled his hands back but Lucifer stopped them and placed them back where they were.

"That's not why I pulled back, Tommy. Nobody made me feel less of a monster while touching this face, caressed it with so much affection. Not even Eve." Lucifer sighed, "You aren't scared of me at all?"

Tommy shook his head, "No, if I was able to tell you about my past you would understand why I'm not afraid of you but sadly because of the vow I can't and the person I took the vow for isn't alive anymore, I don't even know if he went to the heaven we go too."

"What do you mean?" Lucifer asked curiously, "How many heavens do you think there are?"

Tommy shrugged, "I have no idea about that all. I mean you are the expert here."

"There is only one Silver city or Heaven like you humans call it in the whole universe. I assume he is from out of space? Your mentor I mean?" Lucifer asked, "If it's something you can tell me that is."

Tommy nodded, "He lived in a time wrap on earth but he was from Eltar. That's all that I can say."

"You will meet again someday when your time on earth is over. You will go where I simply can't follow you."

Tommy just shrugged, "Maybe." He couldn't tell Lucifer about the dark spot on his soul. At least not yet.

"You are remarkable, do you know that." Lucifer said in a soft voice, "I mean you just learned that the man that saved your life is the devil and that Heaven, Hell, angels, demons, and God are real and you still react like you didn't hear anything earth-shattering." The devil was amazed.

Tommy sighed deeply, "I wished that I could tell you more, I really do but without the blessing of my mentor I just can't. At least not yet not without the approval of my friends."

"I admire that, Tommy. I am a devil of my word myself and it's a matter of principle to me." Lucifer tried to comfort Tommy this way. "I will never try to get that secret out of you. Not that you really can without seeing me, no offense."

Tommy chuckled, "None taken, and I appreciate it."

"So can I call someone for you, a girlfriend maybe?" Lucifer asked trying to keep his voice as soft and friendly as possible. After what Chloe had done his hope wasn't big but after his reaction on his face and everything Tommy told him made the hope grow bigger with the second. Would he deserve a man like that? Lucifer sighed he was falling into the trap yet again and there was nothing he could do about it.

Tommy shook his head again, "You see, I didn't have much luck with relationships. I think it's because my first girl broke my heart beyond repair, that's why my second relationship wasn't going to be a success even before we started it's was bound to fail. We decided to break up the moment she went to study in London. There was maybe one guy but he never knew what I felt for him. I didn't want to lose my best friend."

A tear rolled over Tommy's cheek, "Hey, if you want me to stay here with you, I will." Lucifer said while he carefully wiped the tear from his face with his thumb. It was now Tommy's turn to lean into the devil's large hands. The long-haired man closed his eyes enjoying the exceptional warmth that radiated from the other being. He felt hot but it was a good and soothing hot.

"I would like that very much. There is something about you that makes me trust you even if I haven't seen you with my own eyes. It has been a long time that I ever felt like this before. I think from the moment I met Kimberly." Tommy sighed at the thought of his first girlfriend, "I never felt so much trust in someone I barely knew."

"Is she the one who broke your soul?" Lucifer asked suddenly not taking away his hand from the man's cheek, "I can feel you carry an immense pain with you."

Tommy sighed, "She broke me with the cruel way that she broke up with me. She sent a dear John letter to a youth center we liked to hang out back in Angel Grove but I want to move on from that and my heart says that … oh what the hell forget it."

"Your heart says what Tommy? You can tell me." Feeling his own heart beating in his throat like never before not even when he thought he was falling for Chloe. Feeling a slight hope that maybe he found someone that could repair his own broken soul.

Tommy sighed, closing his eyes before speaking again, "It sounds strange but I feel myself falling for you in a way I never felt before. My heart says it's okay to feel this way."

"Can I kiss you again?" Was all Lucifer could ask, all he was able to say. For some reason, he could trust this human with his heart and soul. It was strange that he had to ask him this but Tommy wouldn't be able to see that he was coming towards him again.

Tommy's heart made a little jump the moment the devil had asked him, the moment he felt the hot breath against his skin. Tommy's Native American roots and his past as a Power Ranger made him alert to his surroundings even without the ability to see what was happening. The only thing the young man could do was nod.

The devil took Tommy's arms and placed them around his neck before pulling the man closer to him. He touched the lips of the man in front of him softly and gave him the time to react.

Tommy didn't need long to react to Lucifer. He kissed him back almost immediately not wanting to let this opportunity slip away again. He closed his arms around Lucifer's neck and pulled the devil even closer to him.

This was the sign Lucifer was waiting for. He roamed his tongue over the seam of Tommy's lips, asking for access which he was granted not long after. He deepened the kiss and let him feel everything that the devil felt inside. The kiss was long and sweet until Tommy needed to come up for air. Lucifer didn't want to lose contact though so he leaned his forehead against Tommy's, smiling softly.

"I will be here for you as long as you want me in which way you want to have me."

Tommy's eyes were still closed enjoying the aftermath of this amazing kiss. A kiss that turned his heart upside down, "I want you for now and ever, I know this is soon but I want to take my chance with you. Let me show you that you can be loved without someone hurting you or betraying you. Let me be yours."

"How...How did you know that they betrayed me?" Lucifer asked shocked.

"Let say that I can sense such things, I don't need my eyes to see that you have a hurt soul as well." Tommy smiled. I learned through the years to listen with all my senses. I can hear the hurt in your voice, even if you are trying to hide it." Tommy said with a sigh. He roamed his hands from his neck to his shoulder to feel where his shoulders were. He carefully placed his head on the devil's shoulder, who in turn wrapped his arm around Tommy's shoulder.

Tommy let out a sigh out of pure happiness before speaking again, his eyes still closed, "What happened to you?"

Lucifer chuckled, "What didn't happen to me. You will have to be more specific, love. I am older than time. Older than the stars in the sky at night, because I am the one who put them there. My life didn't really go over roses you know."

"I just want to know what it was that broke you." Tommy sighed while snuggling closer to him. Lucifer didn't know if it was because he couldn't see or for another reason that Tommy wasn't affected by his powers. The fact that his father could have meddled into meeting each other was the last thing he thought about. He wasn't going to find out this time not if his Father had anything to say about it.

Lucifer roamed his fingers through Tommy's long silk hair. He noticed that the young man's breath had soft and even now and noticed he had fallen asleep, "Sleep tight, love, I will be here when you wake up." He kissed Tommy's head before closing his own eyes. A new day was coming soon and with that a new start in his life.
