Chapter 6 :

Tommy startled awake. Instead of being in the dark or in his own room, but in a giant silver bed, standing in the middle of a bright white room. He looked at the ceiling, noticing dozens of stars floating in the air.

"Where am I?" Tommy was confused, "When did I regain my sight?" He looked around and behind him was a golden plate with signs of a language he has never seen before.

"That's Enochian for Samael. You are in his old room." A sudden voice said from behind him. Tommy immediately jumped up, already in a fighting stance, ready to defend himself against whoever this was. He refused to show the older, dark-skinned man in front of him any sign of fear, nor the man who looked strangely familiar to him, even though he didn't know why.

"Where am I and why am I here? Who in God's name is Samael?" Tommy said in what his former teammates called the leader's voice.

The bald, white-skinned man next to him raised his hands up. He was wearing what looked like a white robe, holding a staff with a sort of globe on top, in his other hand, "Stand down, my ranger. It's okay."

That voice. Tommy was certain that he would never hear that voice again, not after Andros had smashed his time wrap on the being's command, "Zordon?"

"Yes, my falcon. It's me." Zordon smiled.

Tommy relaxed at this, "Zordon, where am I? Why am I here? What happened to my blindness? Who is that man and who in the world is Samael?" Tommy wanted to hug the man, he just had too many questions.

"Easy, Tommy. I know you have lots of questions." Zordon said to his former ranger commander, "I will let him explain everything." pointing to the man who was standing beside him.

"Sit down, Tommy Oliver. I am here to help you. I want to explain why you can see again." God said.

"First, I want to thank you for accepting my son, Samael, better known for you under the name Lucifer." God smiled.

"Wait, if you are Lucifer's Father, then you are…" Tommy started, but couldn't continue.

"I am best known to you as God." The man said with a soft smile.

"But wait a minute… this must be Heaven? Am I dead?" Tommy was confused now, sure that his life had ended, now that he finally found what he always had been looking for.

God shook his head, "No, Tommy, you are not dead. I have the ability to come in someone's dreams, and I brought my new right hand with me since you know him best."

"But why am I here?" Tommy was still confused.

"Let's go for a walk, young Tommy. I will explain everything to you." God made a gesture for Tommy to walk with him. Tommy has always been a fearless leader, but this was God he was talking to.

"I came to your dreams because I wanted to meet you for myself. To meet the man who was able to do what nobody could do so soon, and especially after what happened in Los Angeles, I never thought he would ever do it again, open up his heart to someone." God said with a sigh, "You see Samael…" God sighed, "Lucifer I mean is special. An angel who carries so many emotions inside him. A prophecy once said that my Lightbringer would open his heart and find the love of a soulmate that would bring him back to where he belongs. Bring him back to me."

"Wait a minute… I don't know a lot about religion but aren't you supposed to hate him? And what is all of this about a prophecy? How do you know it's me?" Tommy asked his voice on edge.

"Just as much as he is supposed to be evil himself, this too is a lie that has been told." God looked down to the floor while he walked, feeling a sort of shame coming over him. "About the prophecy, I can't tell you much at the moment though, I only know that it's you."

"I don't know the real story, why contact me through my dreams and not in real life with him present?" Tommy's voice was still a bit edgy. He would support Lucifer no matter what he had done. Everyone made mistakes, but that didn't mean they were evil.

God sighed, "I don't know if he will want to see me, let alone talk to me. I have hidden behind excuses for eons, but the truth is that I should have talked to him a very long time ago."

Tommy saw the Lucifer's Father meant what he said.

"Before you decide, let me tell you what really happened before his fall," God said before he started to tell the story from his side. How Lucifer had fought for free will, but that it couldn't go unpunished. That he couldn't let him leave by being publicly disobedient. "His mom wanted to smite him out of existence, so I placed him in Hell instead." God sighed.

What God didn't tell though was that he was the cause of Tommy's accident. He had so much faith in his son that he knew Lucifer would do the right thing.

"Just tell him I have faith in him." God said, "Can you do that for me?"

Tommy nodded, "That I can do."

"Thank you, young Tommy. Have faith that everything will be okay." God answered.

"Thank you, my white ranger." Zordon said, "I want you to know that you can tell Lucifer about your past, Tommy. Only if you let him promise to keep it a secret as well. His word is gold. That's why I came along that and I knew you would be more relaxed with someone familiar in the room."

Tommy nodded before God placed his hand on the young man's head. The former ranger commander closed his eyes, feeling more relaxed than ever before.

Lucifer woke up from the moment that Tommy jumped up out of his arms, "What's wrong, honey?"

Tommy looked beside him, although he knew the voice and the British accent, it was now the first time that he saw how he really looked like, "Wait a minute, I can see again. That means that my dream wasn't a dream."

Lucifer pushed himself up against the headboard of the bed and opened his arm, "What wasn't a dream, honey?"

Tommy placed his head on the devil's shoulder, he remembered Zordon's words telling him that the devil's word was gold. "promise me not to leave me?"

"Why would I leave you?" Lucifer was a bit confused and worried about this.

"Promise me, handsome," Tommy said. He wasn't going to risk his new relationship without it.

"Okay, I promise I won't leave. Now, what was the dream like?" Lucifer asked curiously.

Tommy leaned forward, placing one hand on Lucifer's leg for comfort, "I think I saw Heaven."

"Say what now?" Lucifer jolts up.

"I think I was in Heaven or in your old room. A bright white room with a silver bed, and what looked like stars against the ceiling and your old name, or I assume it's your old name above your bed in gold, Samael right?"

Lucifer looked shocked, "That's indeed my old room but how did you know the name Samael? For as long as I remember it was in my mother tongue. Is that all that you saw?" Lucifer let the fact that he heard his old name slide for a moment.

Tommy shook his head, "I also saw you Father, Lucifer, and my former mentor. Was I dead?"

"Can't he leave me in peace for once!" Lucifer growled jumping out of the bed before starting to pace through the room.

"Handsome, he just told me what has happened between the two of you." Tommy said, "He regrets what he has done."

"So he has to come into your dreams just to tell you that? I don't believe it." Lucifer growled in a deep voice.

"He just wanted to tell me his side of the story about your fall," Tommy said, in a soothing voice.

"He did what?" His eyes flashed red hearing this, "What did he tell you?"

Tommy started to tell the story that God had told him about Lucifer's fall and the prophecy.

Lucifer shook his head, "I can't believe that he tries to win you over with lies. Do you want to know what really happened? Well, this is the true story."

Tommy patted on the place next to him on the bed, "I want to know both sides of the story, handsome."

"Nobody asked my side of the story before?" Lucifer calmed down with that question.

"Well, I ask you now, Lucifer Morningstar, to tell me your side of the story." Tommy smiled.

"Well, I was a curious young angel. I wanted to know how the world worked, how humanity worked, but my dad never told me. Hey always said it wasn't something for me to know. When I found out that by giving Adam and Eve the apple, they received free will and could do anything they wanted. I wanted the same thing for me and my siblings, my dad said no though. I got angry and started a fight with him. The fight became a rebellion, some say a war, maybe that true. Once the war was over and I lost Dad was so angry that he threw me out of the house. Mom told me he wanted to smite me out of existence. That she stopped him from doing so. I don't know what to believe."

Tommy shook his head, "Your dad said the opposite that it was your mom who wanted you gone. He also told me how sorry he was that he threw you out."

"Why wouldn't he tell me that himself?" Lucifer asked.

"I don't know, handsome, I only know that he asked me to have faith in you and in us. I don't know what he meant by that." Tommy sighed.

"I think I know. I knew Dad had something to do with it, us meeting each other. That this wasn't real. Nobody can love the devil. I am not allowed to be happy." Lucifer was enraged, "I will give you your free will back, I will leave you now."

"Lucifer, you promised me, remember. Maybe your dad has made sure that we would meet, even if he didn't say it, but I owe you my life, handsome." Tommy jumped up from his bed and ran towards him, "you decided to jump after me that night, you could have let me drown." Tommy tried everything to stop his devil from leaving.

"Why would I do something like that?" Lucifer asked, he was a bit taken back about what his lover just told him.

"It doesn't matter. I just want you to know that you choose to save my life, you choose to stay with me to care for me. You chose to love me or I hope you still love me now that I am no longer blind." Tommy responded in such a tone that hope was hearable in it.

"Of course I still love you. It's I who ask you, can you really love me like this?" Lucifer shifted his face. His devil face came upfront. Hoping that he wouldn't get the same reaction as the last time he asked a human that question, a human he cared about a lot back then.

Tommy came closer to him, he took Lucifer's burned head in his hands, "I will always choose you." He placed his lips on top of Lucifer's broken lips. Lucifer was shocked for a few seconds, but it didn't take long before he started to return his lover's kisses. He was still hesitant about his feelings and what his Dad had to do with them. They had still a lot to talk about, but for now, he just enjoyed the feelings that ran through his body from the moment that Tommy had started to kiss his devil face. He wasn't going to let go of him.
