Well well well, look who has raised from the dead. No words can be used to say how sorry I am for leaving this untouched for a while now. I wrote this chapter quite a while ago, like in August of 2021. I was bored and found this in my files so I decided "what the hell" and am now posting it. Hope you have all been staying safe during times like this, this chapter is just a chill one since I really like writing those kinds of chapters. I hope you all enjoy them, but enough of me talking, enjoy the chapter and if you took time reading this, thank you and I'll see you in the end, peace!

1 week later

Everyone was sitting in the living area, after the little incident last week, everyone was feeling better and was able to play their family game night they had planned. A few of them sat on the couch, and the rest were on the floor where they had a few snacks. Instead of playing a board game, Lincoln suggested a video game they can try. The game was simple, aside from the 2 controllers, everyone decided to play in teams of 5.

Lilly wasn't with them as she cannot even hold a controller correctly, so she was just with their parents in their room. So, the teams were even.

The first team was Lincoln, Luna, Lori, Lana and Lucy. The second was Lola, Leni, Lisa, Luan and Lynn.

Lincoln stood up to get everyone's attention as it was his idea to play the game. "Okay, so have any of you guys played this game?" He asked before they started.

No one raised a hand.

"Oh yeah, you guys don't play video games" Lincoln realised.

"Only real games bro!" Lynn said out loud raising her fist.

Everyone groaned slightly.

"What?" Lynn said shrugging at everyone's reaction.

"Lynn" Lori spoke up, she got up from the couch and stood next to Lincoln in front of everyone. "We all had a sibling meeting before we came downstairs" She admitted.

"Without me?- Wait, what was it about?" Lynn asked.

30 minutes earlier

Everyone apart from Lynn were sat in Lori and Leni's room where they always have their meeting. Lana then walked in the room "Alright, I saw Lynn go into the bathroom" She said as she sat on the floor with a couple of her sisters.

Lori smacked her shoe onto the nightstand. "Okay! First off, glad everyone is feeling better" She said referring to Lana, Lola, Lynn and herself "As you all may know, Leni, Luna, Lisa, Lucy and Lincoln, had the idea to bring back sibling game night" Almost immediately after saying those words, a few of them groaned from the idea. This led Lori to smacked her shoe again. "Quiet! It might not be the best, but if we can let Lynn know not to make it a big deal, everything should go as planned" Lori finally stated.

Some of the family thought it was not a bad idea, the others didn't think it would work as well as they might hope.

Everyone then heard a flush.

"I think she's done, let's go!" Lori said as she got everyone to leave the room and head downstairs the living area.

After a couple minute of Lincoln getting the console ready and the game, Lynn came down the stairs, almost kind of running. She turned to go into the dining area, but stopped herself to turn around and see everyone in the opposite room.

"Why aren't we in the dining room?" Lynn asked pointing to it.

"We thought we would give this a try" Lincoln said holding up the game case.

"Seriously? Video games for game night?" Lynn said sounding disappointed. Even though it had a good fit for "game night" as much as board games did.

Present

Everyone exchanged looks. Lori spoke up again "We don't want you to make this competitive, we just want to have a fun sibling game night, without you trying to turn it in to a competition"

Lynn let it sink in. Being competitive has always been her personality trait. Telling Lynn to not be competitive was like telling a lion not to eat you.

She finally spoke "So, was that why we haven't had sibling game night for a while?" She asked them.

Some of them nodded and others replied in unison with "Yes". Lynn was surprised to hear this, even though she is REALLY aware of how competitive she can be at times, Lynn figured everyone just didn't want to play.

"Alright" She started, almost sounding a little bit upset.

Everyone started to nearly feel bad.

"Well, let's play" She finished saying.

Everyone was surprised, but the real challenge was to see just how long she can hold in her "victory dances" if she won the game. Lori went back to sitting down on the couch with her team.

Lori's team was sitting on the right side of the couch, she was sitting on the couch with Lucy while Luna, Lana and Lincoln will sit on the floor in front of them. Same with the rest with Luan and Leni on the couch and Lola, Lisa and Lynn on the floor.

With the teams set up, and the rules set straight forward, they were ready to play.

The plan was to give the control to each of them, starting with the first person on the couch to the last on the floor. Every time they pass the finish line, they pass the control the person next to them. Total of 5 laps, whoever wins the most laps, wins.

I haven't actually played Mario kart in years, so please don't get mad if some parts of this are incorrect or whatever

The first people to have the first turn was Leni for her team and Lori for hers. Before they began, they got to choose their teams character, that led to a debate of which character to pick.

"Pick that one!" Luna said pointing to Toad.

"No way! Pick him Lori!" Lana said pointing to Waluigi.

"Sigh, just pick that guy" Lucy said as she referred to Chain Chomp.

On the other team was also the same dilemma.

"Leni, how about her?" Lola pointed to Rosalina.

"Really? What's wrong with...Donkey Kong?" Lynn said while still reading the name.

"Come on! It's obvious to pick toad, he looks very fungi! haha! get it?" Luan cracked a joke, which only Lisa understood.

After a few minutes of deciding, everyone was set with their characters. Lori picked King Boo, so it didn't look like she was picking sides and Leni settled with Toadette.

"Her clothes look, like so adorable!" Leni giggled.

Everyone seemed ok with their chosen characters.

"Okay, ready Leni?" Lori asked her sister.

"I am so ready!" She said happy to be spending the night with her siblings.

"Let's start!" Lori said as she immediately drove her kart ahead of Leni before she got to start.

Leni started her car but kept stopping.

"Do I have to hold it down to keep going?" She said confused.

Her little siblings sitting around her almost screaming for her to drive! Leni managed to get her kart moving, but she was way behind Lori.

"Haha, yes!" Lori said as she was in the lead.

Leni wasn't looking frustrated at all, but Lynn certainly did. Everyone on Leni's team were trying to cheer her on, same with Lori's.

Even though Lincoln knew more about the game than his sisters, it was still fun to watch them try to play the game and have fun together.

After a couple minutes of passing through the tracks and the obstacles they faced. Leni and Lori were able to make it through the finish line, however with Lori winning the first, first score of 1-0. They then immediately switched. Lori passed her controller to Lucy and Leni nearly dropping hers while passing to Luan.

Lucy started to struggle with holding the controller as her hands weren't grasping it correctly. Luan immediately knew what to do from seeing Leni play and started to drive off.

"Lucy come on!" Lana said to her sister.

"I-I can't hold it right" Lucy replied almost yelling. Her kart then slammed into the side of the track, making Luan get a head start.

"Hold it like this!" Lincoln said as he intervened and placed Lucy's hands to hold the controller. Once she got it, she was then able to get herself back on track (haha).

"Thanks Lincoln" Lucy thanked her brother.

"No problem, drive!" Lincoln cheered her on.

The rest of her team did the same, but Luan was already far away from her, it would take some catching up to do.

Another few minutes passed and they passed the second lap. Luan won, so now the score was 1-1. Before Lucy was able to pass her controller to her next sibling, Luna quickly took the control from her. Luan also had her controller taken away from her by Lola. It seemed that everyone was really getting into the game.

Luna and Lola were driving their karts almost very close to each other on the track. All of a sudden, Lola started to ram her kart into Luna.

"Hey! Dude watch it!" Luna said to Lola who started to giggle. This only made Lola do it again, nearly knocking Luna off the track into the dirt.

Luna saw Lola go in for another hit, Luna then hit the brakes, causing Lola to ram herself into the dirt on the side of the track.

Luna's team cheered and clapped! This gave Luna more time to get ahead of Lola who was struggling to get out of the dirt.

"No fair!" Lola groaned.

"That's what you get princess!" Lana mocked over to her twin.

Lola was then able to get back out onto the track and start driving better. However, Luna crossed the finish line in time and able to pass her controller to Lana. Lola groaned and passed it as well. Giving her controller to Lisa. Score is now 2-1

But Lisa didn't take the controller.

"Why aren't you taking it?" Lola asked her.

"I don't feel the need to stare into a pointless video game, without achieving something important sister" She said. Instead, Lisa just kept count scores.

"Come on Lisa!"

"Just take the controller"

"We're losing!"

All of the Lisa's siblings practically begging her to take the controller and just pass the finish line before Lana.

"Ugh, alright" She groaned while snatching the controller from her sister.

"This is not how I wanted to spend my Friday evening" She mumbled.

With the whole commotion on their team, Lana was already in the lead.

Lana began to laugh a little "This is pretty easy"

"Is not" Lola crossed her arms.

"It's just a game guys" Lincoln said.

"Yeah, at least we're totes having fun!" Leni said smiling.

Lisa was starting to catch up with Lana.

Lana noticed and was confused since she was ahead of her a minute ago "Wha- How did you-"

Lisa cut her off "Like you said sibling, it's easy" Lisa said to her.

Lana tried to go fast but Lisa was already cutting ahead of her and was able to pass the finish line.

Lisa handed the controller to Lynn who immediately took it. Lana was able to pass as well and throw it to Lincoln, which he nearly dropped.

"It's now 2-2, whoever wins the next one wins for the team" Lori said as the good part was now coming. With Lincoln on their team, there was hope he will win. But he was up against Lynn.

Lincoln began driving, Lynn was right beside him. "Hey bro!" Lynn yelled to Lincoln as she started to slam her kart into the side of his.

"Hey! Come on!" Lincoln yelled back as he slammed back into her as well.

"What? Lola did it, so it's not cheating!" She laughed doing it another time.

Lincoln hit the brakes and was now driving behind her.

Lynn then tried to hit the brakes as well to try and get Lincoln to smash behind her kart. Lincoln realised in enough time to swerve out to the left causing her to end up behind him. Lincoln was now able to drive his kart ahead.

"Come on Lynn!" Her team said.

"Yes Lincoln!" Lincolns team cheered.

Lynn decided to stand up and stand in front of the tv to block Lincolns vision.

"Hey that is really cheating now!" Lincoln complained as he did the same so they were standing next to each other.

"Oh? Afraid you'll lose?" Lynn sniggered; they were now both driving side by side as well as standing side by side.

Their teams cheering them on to win!

It was now getting really competitive.

Lynn started to see Lincoln was inching forward more than her. The finish line was ahead of them, she was about to lose.

Lincoln could see he was getting more and more ahead of his sister. Lynn tried to hit him again, but accidentally went too far and ended up swerving into the dirt.

"NO!" Her team yelled!

"YES!" Lincoln's team cheered!

Lincoln passed the finishing line, making the score now 2-3. Their team won!

Lincolns team cheered. "Yes Lincoln!" They all said in unison.

Lynn's team gave Lynn some support, to at least put her at ease so she wouldn't have a breakdown.

"It's ok Lynn" Leni said.

"We'll win next time" Lola assured her.

Lynn felt disappointed from hearing her sisters cheer her on and not win. The feeling of letting them down was like feeling like she let one of her sports teams down.

Without saying a word, Lynn threw the controller to the ground and walked right out the front door, slamming it shut.

Everyone stopped cheering. This shocked some people from what she did. It was 8pm outside, so it was pretty dark outside as well. Everyone continued to stay silent, not sure of what to do. They looked at the each other, waiting for someone to speak up.

"I'll go see what's up with her" Lori huffed then walked outside to see what's wrong.

Even though Lynn kinda of tried sabotaging Lincoln in the game, she didn't try to be as competitive as she would normally...in a way.

Lincoln sat back down on the floor.

"Well done bro" Luna said punching his arm a little bit.

"Thanks guys" Lincoln said sounding happy with himself.

It was fun playing with his sisters, either way if he didn't win for his team, it was a successful sibling game night. With nothing else to really do, Luan spoke up.

"What now?" She asked them.

The family looked at each other around them to see if they have any idea for what to do now.

"Watch a movie?" Lana said.

"Yeah!" They all agreed with the idea.

Lincoln switched off the console and started to look for a movie to watch on Netflix. Everyone started to point out movies they can watch, without picking a side, Lincoln just switched on a random movie for them to watch.

As he did that, Lori walked in with Lynn in tow. Lori cleared her throat to get her siblings attention.

"Lynn would like to say something" she said nudging Lynn who just stayed quiet.

Lincoln paused the movie so everyone can listen.

Lynn started "I um, wanted to say that tonight was fun and I hope it was fun for everyone else. Lincoln I'm sorry if I tried to ruin the game by...trying to make you lose, I slipped a little so I'm sorry for that" Lynn finished.

Even though everyone didn't mind, Lynn felt like she may have acted competitive again this night.

"It's ok Lynn" Leni said.

"Yeah, no sweat dude" Luna replied.

"We had fun" The twins said in unison.

"We've had worse sibling game nights" Lincoln joked.

This caused some people to giggle. Sure, they might not get a long all the time and have their arguments and moments, but they are still family.

Lynn was happy to hear this which made her feel better after Lori told her to say sorry if she felt bad. "Thanks guys, it was fun though" Lynn admitted.

With that out of the way, looked like it was a successful game night.

"What we watching" Lori asked as he sat herself back down.

"Lincoln just put on some movie" Luan answered.

Lynn took her seat back down on the floor, everyone spread themself out to get more comfortable, a few laid on the floor and the rest either sat on the couch or armchair.

Lynn was sitting next to Lincoln after everyone moved. She nudged Lincoln to get his attention.

"What?" Lincoln turned his head and asked her.

"Good game bro, it was actually fun and you really are good at video games" she said as she nudged her brother smiling.

"Thanks, isn't so bad to lose, isn't it?" Lincoln asked her.

"Yeah, I don't like video games so it only makes sense that you won fair and square" Lynn accepted in defeat.

"I'm surprised to hear you say that Lynn" Lincoln half laughed.

Lynn felt like punching Lincoln in the arm, but she was able to hold herself back just a bit.

"Well...it's the least I can do" She said scratching her right arm.

Lincoln shrugged it off and went back to watching the movie with his sisters, as did Lynn.

Later

After watching the film, it was time for everyone to go to bed. The family cleaned themselves up and were now in their bedrooms getting ready for bed.

Lincoln was in his room with his journal. He was drawing a picture of the moon that he saw outside of his window. "Tonight, was fun, spent some time with my sisters, Lynn didn't get too competitive during it and didn't get mad when she lost, I think tonight was a successful night" Lincoln was thinking to himself as he was drawing.

Just after going back to his drawing, there was a knock at his door. Lincoln closed his book and sat up.

"Come in" He said.

His door opened and he saw it was Luna, she was dressed for bed, wearing her usual purple robe.

"Oh? Hey Lunes" He said greeting her.

"Hey uh, bro" She said as she closed the door. The tone of her voice made Lincoln feel a little bit concerned.

"What's wrong?" He asked her. Luna was biting her thumb nail, now it got Lincoln concerned.

"Luna, what is it" Lincoln said.

"Can- ahem, can I uh sit down man?" She said motioning to the spot on his bed in front of him.

"Okay?" He replied with in total confusion.

Luna sat down facing Lincoln and crossing her legs.

"So, you know how me and Sam are..." She trailed off.

"A thing?" Lincoln finished for her. This made Luna blush as she never thought she would be having this conversation with her younger brother.

"Well, tomorrow we planned to go on a date, but she cancelled saying that you guys were going to work on something" Luna explained.

Lincoln remembered Sam wanted to make more designs for guitars, in fact Lincoln had some ideas drawn down in his journal.

"Okay, so what's the problem?" Lincoln asked his big sister.

"I'm just gonna say it straight bro, can you stop hanging out with her?" She spoke.

Lincoln was taken aback by this.

"You what?" He replied with after a couple minutes of trying to process what she said.

"I know! I know it's a bummer to ask that, but it feels like she's spending time with you rather than me" Luna expressed.

"Alright? So, you want me to stop hanging out with her because you don't want her having friends?" Lincoln asked her.

"No no! That's not what I mean, what I mean is you guys are allowed to be friends, just maybe lay of a little so me and her can spend time with each other, you know what I'm saying?" Luna explained.

Lincoln could understand what his sister was meaning. Lincoln scratched the back of his head, unsure of how to even respond to her. An idea then clicked to his head.

"Alright, I'll lay of a bit" Lincoln agreed.

Luna smiled at her brother's agreement to her request "Thanks dude!" Luna said pulling her brother into a tight hug. The hug was nearly suffocating him.

He patted her back and mumbled "Luna...air-" Lincoln gasped.

"Oh, my bad bro" Luna let go of her brother making him gasp for more air.

"No problem, Luna" Lincoln said as he regained his oxygen back.

Luna got up from her brother's bed and went back to her room. Lincoln closed the door and sat back down on his bed, he then pulled out his phone and dialled the following contact on it.

"Heeeyyy Lincoln"

It was Sam.

"Hey Sam, did you cancel plans with Luna?" Lincoln asked her as he leaned against the wall on his bed.

"Oh, yeah I realised we wouldn't have enough time to get them done so I figured I would reschedule with Luna" Sam explained to Lincoln.

"Okay, well how about you and Luna go on your little date or whatever, and I'll take care of the designs" Lincoln suggested.

"Are you sure? It's gonna be a lot of work without me man" Sam said. It sounded like she was happy about that, but would feel bad leaving Lincoln to do all the work.

"It's no trouble, I'm sure I can get them done" Lincoln said which made Sam feel a bit better.

"Alright! I'll call her right now- oh she's calling me right now, I'll see ya bro" Sam said as she hung up.

Lincoln smirked a bit, he put his phone away and went back to drawing. As Lincoln was drawing, he realised he could maybe make some kind of design with a moon, not sure how but surely, he could think how.

Well that will do for now, hope you all enjoyed the chapter. I am not 100% where this will go, hopefully in a good way and that you will at least enjoy it. It was hard trying to fit everything into a good storyline, trying to think of drama and other enticing things. But I feel like I should not overthink so much and just write what I think is fun and enjoyable for both me and you lot.
