Hello and welcome back to yet another Hamilwarriors song! We're going back to an early song, aka The Story of Tonight. It's pretty short compared to the previous ones but hopefully it's still fun.
Bluestar of ThunderClan: Haha yeah it's gotta be pretty confusing for you then. Sandpaw's present in this song but not very strongly, and she'll be in the next one as well, but I'm still searching for good spot to show off her own wit and fierceness rather than just another Fireheart fan.
Bilbz: Oh I like that outlook! I hadn't thought of it that way before, that's definitely better than the way I was viewing it.
Also, I saw that someone added this to a community ("Flight of the Stories") which I thought was pretty cool! I don't know who did it (will have to ask Riv if she got an email...) but I just wanted to say thank you for that to whoever did it!
The little summary of the timeskip in my notes: "The tensions with Brokenstar's ShadowClan grow stronger and stronger, with multiple fights between the Clans. At last, the finale of Into the Wild occurs and Brokenstar is driven out of ShadowClan. In the aftermath, Ravenpaw is declared dead and is now out of the picture. Fireheart and Graystripe, however, earn their warrior names and sit vigil for the Clan."
I'm not happy with just how much of Into the Wild is skipped, but I felt like any songs that might have been put as filler here worked better in a later spot. Maybe I'll change my mind later, but also it's kind of too late to change my mind, so it is what it is. Other note about this song, I tried to stick away from "raise a glass" and "another round" and anything that too close/specific to human drinking, because they're cats, but I feel like some of the substitutes were awkward. Idk, once again it is what it is. I'm pretty excited for the next couple of songs though~

One last set of notes. I use "core of us" in place of "four of us" because at this point, there is most certainly no "four of us" - Dustpaw and Sandpaw are still hating on Fireheart at this point, they're just coming together in a sort of grudging recognition after a long, grueling fight. They're not humans, but I view it as them all getting drunk together in a sense via warrior vigil - it's late and they're tired but they just drove out an evil ShadowClan leader together and that takes some heart, hence the "core of us". Also, I did "more glory" rather than "our glory" because they just drove out Brokenstar and already have glory.
