Boy was this a doozy of a chapter. Not only was this one hard to do, but life with Covid-19 made things very hard. Still, life goes on as they say. Sorry for the delay. Hope everyone has been well, healthy, and finacily well.
Chapter 13: Back to Where Things Began
"Oooowwwwww..."
Arista slowly regained consciousness as she shook off the shock of the impact. "I miss the ocean," she said to herself, "It didn't have this 'falling' feeling..." As the dizziness began to fade, she began to notice that she was now in a dark place.
'Where am I? Did I end up under something,' Arista thought to herself as she got back on her feet. "Is anyone here," she called out as she held on to the cold stone walls, "Jack? Ariel? Are you here?"
Her words echoed in the dark area but went unanswered. "Ah shells," Arista said to herself as she stood up and held her hands to find out where she was while wondering in the darkness of where ever she was. 'And I thought the ocean at night was hard to see in. It's like I'm walking through squid ink. I hope there aren't any more of those long-legged creatures in here,' Arista thought as she carefully looked for a way out.
She finally felt the cold hard surface of the stone wall that she used to guide her way through the endless darkness. With every step, Arista found herself feeling more lost with every step as she leaned against the stone wall.
'I don't hear the giants anymore, so they must be gone,' Arista thought as she tried to keep herself calm while wondering in the dark cave, 'Or I'm somewhere so deep I can't hear them, or worse...'
Suddenly, as though to answer her silent preys, Arista caught sight of a shred of light ahead of her. 'A light in the darkness... Not a good thing in a situation like this,' she thought nervously as she made her way in the direction of the light, 'But it's not like I can go backwards.' The light revealed another passageway in the cave. With no other options, Arista followed the light down the pathway. After a minute, she found a new room at the end of the cave.
The room was dark except for a small portion of light coming from a small opening on the side of the room like a window. The room was small and filled different items from books, nick-knacks, and a portrait. Near the window was a bed that looked as though it hadn't been used in a long while.
Arista looked at all the books and nick-knacks on the book shelf, 'Maybe this is Jack's room,' Arista thought to herself, 'If this is Jack's room, he's a lot like Ariel when it comes to collecting things.' She then noticed the portrait behind her. Despite the picture being bathed in shadows, Arista could see the woman in it was royalty but she couldn't see the person's face.
'It can't be his girlfriend,' Arista thought to herself before blushing and realizing what she thought about, 'Not that I care or anything!' She shook the thought out and looked at the portrait again. "Maybe it's his mother. But that would make him a prince," Arista theorized before looking stunned, "Him? A prince?!" Just the thought of Jack being a prince was enough to make her start to laugh hysterically despite her attempts to stay calm. "There's no way," Arista said to herself, "He so carefree compared to the stiff princes I met before!"
"Plus, I wouldn't want to wear royal clothing anyway."
Arista's laughter came to a sudden halt the moment she heard the new voice in the room. She turned around with a blush of embarrassment and a look of horror on her face to see Jack standing in the shadows of the room.
"Just thinking about it makes me feel stiff," Jack admitted as he rubbed the back of his head with his free hand looking care free, "I'd prefer to keep working in the fields than attending balls all the time." Then, Jack held his staff out and small balls of light rose out of the tip of the staff. It almost looked like fireflies were filling the room. "Sorry for sneaking up on you. When you weren't in the sink with us after the other giants left, I figured you somehow ended up in the tunnels in the house," Jack started to only to see her looking embarrassed and stunned at Jack, "Are you alright Arista? Did I scare you?"
Arista quickly turned away from Jack while looking tense. "It's alright," she quickly answered while hiding her blushing face, "I'm just thankful that someone found me!"
'Why am I so freaked out,' Arista thought to herself as fear, relief, and embarrassment ran through her body, 'I should be happy that I have been found by Jack and not by the giants. Not that had to be Jack! I could have been Ariel or even her boyfriend that found me!' Her blush only intensified at the thought of being alone with Jack as she tried to fight off the thought.
Arista cleared her throat as she looked at Jack wanting to change the subject, "I take it this is your room then if you were able to find me so easily," Arista said as she looked at the portrait.
The women in the painting was a fair skinned white woman with dark brown hair pulled back and blue eyes. She was dressed in a golden dress that left her arms and shoulders exposed. She wore golden earrings and a diamond encrusted crown. She wore a golden dress that went down to her feet and a red robe with a white and black stripped trim. The woman sat in a room filled with fancy looking furniture and a large red and gold crown in the background.
'She really is royalty,' Arista thought to herself as she stared at the woman in the portrait gave off the aura of authority of a ruler, 'But why does Jack have a something like this in-'
"Queen Alexandrina Victoria," Jack said as he joined her, "The Queen of England from 1918 to 1901. During her time, she managed to make Britain a stronger presence in the world during her reign."
"You must feel nervous having such a strong ancestor and having to live up to the legacy," Arista stated as the two continued to look at the portrait, "Why else would she be in your room?"
This earned a slight laugh from Jack. "She's not my ancestor," Jack admitted to her, "If she was, I'd be drinking tea, eating crumpets every afternoon at royal gatherings, and dressed in royal clothing all day. And this isn't my room." This earned a confused glance from Arista as Jack continued. "This was the bedroom... of the BFG's first human friend," Jack said in a solemn voice.
Arista's eyes widen in shock by Jack's word. "You mean, the BFG had other friends after that triangle thing changed the other giants," Arista asked in surprise.
"Just one and a few years before I came here," Jack explained to her, "The BFG told me one other human followed him back to Giants Land. Back then, the BFG was lonely and was happy to have a friend. The two would go journey together between here, the Dream Tree, and Earth collecting dreams along with things from Earth."
"They sound like they were close," Arista said while taking in his words at their experiences, "Did something happen between this friend and the BFG that made the person go back to Earth?"
Jack looked sad as he took a deep breath, "I wish... The other giants are what happened..."
A burst of horror ran through Arista as her blood ran cold from those words. "As in... the other giants," she asked with fear in her voice.
Jack nodded yes with a said expression. "They followed the BFG home one day and saw his friend with him," Jack continued to explain, "The giants led by Fleshlumpeater tore through the home looking for the friend... Eventually they found her though and... You can probably guess what happened."
Arista nodded sadly as she held herself in comfort as her mind imagined the girl being eaten alive like in the legend she read with Ariel as a child. Just the thought of it was enough to make her body shiver more than in the cold ocean in the morning.
"That's why he tried to send you home before and all of us as well," Arista realized, "To prevent us from going through the same thing."
"Spot on," Jack said as he pulled out the jacket Arista was wearing earlier, "This was the girl who the BFG befriended before... That happened."
Arista took the jacket from Jack and looked at it. Seeing it, she remembered how sad the BFG was when he saw her wear it. "I'm sorry," she said sadly as a tear formed in her eyes, "I didn't know..." She placed the jacket on the bed to rest where the boy once slept near his lonely friend. "This is why you stay here," Arista said as she finally understood the real reason why Jack stayed, "To keep the BFG company and make sure what happened before never does again."
Jack didn't respond. He didn't need to as the answer was obvious. He wasn't about to leave his friend alone to be picked on forever.
Arista stared at the jacket as sadness filled her. She then felt a new emotion rise from within her. "Jack, that girl," Arista sadly asked him, "When she was captured by Fleshlumpeater, do you think she as scared?"
Jack was silent for a moment, not from not knowing the answer, but from how hard it was to say it. "Yes... Even in the end," Jack finally said.
Arista then gently hugged him for support much to Jack's surprise. He then returned the hug. The sadness she was feeling was enough to break the heart. Another emotion began to grow in her. The sense of unfairness for the BFG, Jack, and Chamo going through life with bullies everyday with no way to stop them for good. The feeling of unfairness at the BFG, Jack, and Chamo's situation. "This isn't right," Arista said as she pulled away after stopping more tears from forming, "What they are doing to people, to you, and the BFG... We have to stop them."
Jack smiled from hearing Arista's new confidence. "Leave the BFG's protection to me and Chamo," Jack said with a smile, "But if we're going to protect the people below, we have to get that crown or cut the beanstalk down along with finding the other bean seeds."
Arista nodded and she turned to face Jack. "Then we better get going," she said.
"Abso-bloody-lutely! Is what I would be saying except for one thing," Jack said as he pointed at Arista, "If you're going to save the world, you better look the part."
Arista looked down at herself as she was down to her shoes, shorts, and seashell bra. "Is clothing really necessary on the surface," Arista asked, "I've lived my whole life with only my seashells on."
"Not if you don't mind a cold," Jack said as the two left the room to return to the others.
"I don't feel cold. Why would temperature matter when it comes to clothing," Arista asked as she closed the door behind her.
Meanwhile
Atlantis
6am
From the port area of the recently risen city, two large fish ships, and one four seated stingray ship flew through the air out into the ocean. In the stingray's seats were Kida who was at the controls and Frey managing an Atlantean device in his hands. Orpet was in the center of the two enjoying the ride.
"It is amazing how quickly Atlantis is changing now it has returned to the surface," Kida said with a smile on her face, "I never imagine we would find a way to make pilots within the ship."
"It's called auto pilot," Frey told her as he continued to use the controller, "But yeah, it's crazy how much they advanced in two weeks."
When Frey, Kida, Lilo, and Stich arrived on Orpet, they explained the situation to Milo and Suki, and were able to get some spare ships with weapons and speed in mind. The Royals also provided Frey's group with a prototype device that controlled certain vehicles by remote. With the vehicles ready, Frey and Kida were ready to fulfill their part of the plan and bring Eric's group back down from Giants Land.
"Do you think Eric and the others have already found Ariel," Kida asked in concern, "I mean, Giants Land is surely true to its name for being home to the giants. So, they will have a great deal of land to cover in less than a day."
"If I know Eric, he's probably braved the entire giant army, and saved her in half that time," Frey said confidently as the ship.
Kida smiled, "You know our friend quiet well," Kida said. She then looked back at Atlantis, "Still though, I feel bad about leaving to Lilo and Stitch like this. You could have at least told them why we are leaving them at Atlantis."
Frey groaned, "I don't like it either but being honest didn't work back in China," he said agreeing with Kida, "But this is for her own safety. That and my own if Nani finds out I exposed Lilo to such dangers."
While waiting for the vehicles to be ready, the group stayed for the night to rest, and prepare for the possibility of a battle. But when morning came, Frey, Kida, and Orpet secretly snuck off before Lilo and Stitch woke up, and left the two behind for their own safety.
Kida sighed, "I do not know how angry your older cousin can become, but Lilo and Stitch will be just as angry once we return to pick them up," she added still feeling guilty about the whole thing despite knowing it was for Lilo's safety.
"Lilo will understand when she's older," Frey told her, "Once she's looking after someone she cares about, she'll want to protect them with everything she has, even if it means being a little deceptive. After a while of being angry, she'll get over it, realize we were right, and..." Frey suddenly stopped talking as a thought occurred to him as he gained a deadpanned expression, "They're in the back... aren't they," Frey asked in a monotoned voice.
"We sure are!"
"Uh huh!"
From behind the two teens and magical carpet, Lilo and Stitch popped up from behind with wide smiles on their faces. Then, Lilo took a picture of the three from behind.
Kida immediately turned around and looked at the two stowaways, "How did you two get here," Kida asked them shocked that the two of them were there, "You were asleep in the room when Frey, Orpet, and I left!"
"Stitch and I figured you would try going back to Port Royal without us," Lilo explained, "So the two of us used pillows as body doubles, found the vehicles you were going to take, and slept in the back."
"ACTION," Stitch exclaimed as he pulled out his blasters and waved them in the air ready for battle.
"Lilo! Stitch! This is too dangerous," Frey sternly told them, "We could be facing an army of immortal giants! We are turning around right now and-"
Suddenly, huge blasts of water shot up from the ocean around the vehicles. The torrents of water shot upwards around the group until the ocean water formed a large barrier trapping all inside.
The five looked around as they took in their situation. "Is this some kind of Atlantean security field," Lilo asked Kida who was looking around in confusion, "Are we going to get to see the Leviathan," Lilo asked in excitement.
"I do not believe the Leviathan is the cause of this Lilo," Kida said feeling her warrior's will starting to break as a new torrent of water rose up from the ocean, "But I am now wishing it was the Leviathan..."
There in the new torrent of water before the five occupants of the vehicle was the King of the Seas himself, King Triton, and he looked far from pleased as he glared at the five.
Frey and Kida sat in their seats looking nervous as this unexpected visit from Ariel's father, Lilo looked excited as she secretly readied her camera, and Stitch looked curious at the visitor as he bobbed his head side to side.
"Okay... No need to panic," Frey whispered to the others, "Just keep calm." The others minus Stitch nodded as King Triton approached the group. "Your highness," Frey happily said as he bowed his head in respect, "It's an honor to finally meet you. Ariel has told us so much about you." Triton didn't say anything as maintained his eye contact on the others as Frey continued, "What brings you to the surface on this wonderful day?"
"Where are my daughters," the king finally asked in a calm voice.
"Ariel? Um... I think she and Eric are on a date," Frey answered quickly, "Same as any couple would do on a normal safe day. I'm not sure about your other daughters though since none of us have meet them yet, I'm sorry to say."
"Is that so," King Triton responded to Frey's answer in a stern voice, "Then I suppose the beanstalk in Port Royal has nothing to do with Ariel, Arista, and Sebastian's disappearance?"
"Uhhhhh... An entry in the Vegetable Growing contest at the Summer Festival this year," Frey answered nervously with an equally nervous smile.
'We're doomed,' Kida, Lilo, and Stitch thought to themselves as they looked at Frey's weak poker face.
King Triton remained silent as he continued to stare at the group making them nervous. Kida was sweating beads while looking slightly nervous. She could feel the anxiety run going through her body along with the knowledge that she had all the answers that Triton was looking for. His intimidating stare was fiercer than her combat teacher's.
'So that's Ariel's temper comes from,' Kida thought to herself remembering all the times that Ariel was angry, 'She has the same glare that her father does. Just keep calm like Frey says and don't reveal the truth. But this pressure is too much. I feel like I'm about to break! Just a little-'
"Alright, alright, alright! We think Ursula is behind the beanstalk since Ariel was caught in the beanstalk when it grew at the carnival," Frey exclaimed as he spilled his guts, "Eric went up there to find Ariel and bring her back to the beanstalk while we bring these vehicles so we can safely fly them back to Port Royal before the giants can invade!"
Kida, Lilo, Stitch, and Orpet looked at Frey with deadpanned expressions. Not just from the fear in his voice but from the fact that he was the one who told them not to spill the beans. 'Are you kidding me,' they all thought to themselves in embarrassment.
"So... Everything is under control," Lilo added, "There's nothing to worry about your majesty." Stitch nodded in agreement next to her.
King Triton remained silent for a moment longer as he processed the group's plan. "Very good than," he calmly said. All five occupants sighed in relief of Triton remaining calm. "But if my daughters aren't back by tonight, I'll flood Port Royal beneath the waves," King Triton quickly added before returning sinking back into the sea along with the water dome.
Frey, Kida, Lilo, Stitch, and Orpet sat there in silent horror from King Triton's threat.
"You don't think he'll actually do it, do you," Lilo asked as she looked at the teens, "I mean, that was just his way of motivati-?"
"The kicking of the speed," Kida cried out not wanting to take the risk.
"I think you mean 'punch it' but that works too," Frey exclaimed as he made the vehicles go as fast as they could back to Port Royal.
Giants Land
6:30am
Forest
As dawn began to push the night away, the BFG made his way through the forest with a concern expression. Jack and Arista sat on the giant's left shoulder while Eric and Ariel sat on the other. Chamo sat on Jack's shoulder, Dax was on Eric's, and Iago and the gooseling was in the BFG's shirt pocket.
Arista herself was in a new outfit made by Jack and the BFG. She was now wearing the jacket from before but was shortened for her and the front was left open revealing her seashell bra. She wore a red skirt where the right side went down to her a little above her feet and white belts around her waist with a bag on her left back side. The left side of the skirt ended above her kneecap. She also had white fingerless gloves with black wrist bands, white socks that went up her leg and red shoes that left her toes and heels exposed.
The Tourists took in the sight of the forest before them. Despite the trees being ten times taller than the ones in the land below, the feeling of seeing the ground from such a high place was a sight to behold. It was a though they were riding a mountain through the country side.
"Such an amazing view," Ariel said as she marveled at the sight before the tourists, "I can't imagine seeing this and never getting tired of it."
"Compared to Good Old Britain," Jack said as he thought for a moment, "I'd say it's a tie."
"It's not the ocean... But it's a nice vacation spot," Arista commented enjoying the view herself.
"Oh yeah! If you can get over the MAN-EATING GIANTS," Iago squawked loudly as he flew in the air before landing on the gosling's head again.
"Says the one who came back with us after returning to Port Royal," Dax pointed out with a smug grin.
"Because where ever my nest egg goes, I go! It's not my fault she followed you back," Iago defended, "But more importantly, how are we going to stop the giants if we can't get the crown back!? Not even three armies could kill them back then! That's why King Erik just banished them back to their home!"
"Giants be being stronger than humans," the BFG explained, "We don't age like people below do. We live as long as the trees be reaching the skies."
Hearing this, Eric, Ariel, Arista, and the other tourists looked at the BFG in surprise. "You mean... giants are immortal?"
"To an extent," Jack said answering Eric's question, "They don't die from old age. But they still die if you drop a pretty big piano on them."
"Drop a piano," Arista said with a raised eyebrow, "What a waste of a perfectly good instrument."
Arista's comment made everyone look at her as they realized she was talking about an actual piano.
"No, Arista. It's a saying on the surface," Ariel explained. Hearing that, Arista's eyes widened in understanding.
"So, it takes some kind of physical trauma to hurt a giant," Eric said realizing how it worked.
"It's why the giants were hard to fight back then," Chamo added, "Even banded together, the armies weren't equipped enough to land a blow powerful enough to defeat a giant."
"There's one thing I still don't understand," Arista said as she got everyone's attention, "I understand that Giants steal gold because they were infected with greed by that triangle thing at the Dream Tree. But why eat humans? How can being greedy lead to wanting to eat humans?"
Everyone became quiet as the dread from Arista's question floated in the air. A question about the giants that had been in the back of the Tourists' minds but were nervous to ask. It was a trait about the Giants that had known from the story and their words in the castle, but never was there an explanation why they do it.
The BFG, Jack, and Chamo looked sad for a moment. Their expressions were conflicted as they looked each other. After a moment of silence, they all nodded, and returned their attention to the Tourists.
"The giants that be caught in the omen's presence all that time ago were affected another way," the BFG began to explain, "They lost the ability to be feeling the thump thump in their bodies."
"Thump thump," Arista asked confused like the rest of them. But her eyes widened when she placed her hand on her chest, "You mean their hearts. You mean they aren't alive anymore?"
"No, they're not undead," Jack corrected, "But they don't feel anything. Remember the Giants that lost their colors in the dungeons?" Arista nodded in response. "That was when they feel sad or depressed. The Giants that eat people though... They don't feel any feel any emotions other than a need to fill in the void," Jack explained looking sad from his words.
"But they were happy when they saw were told they were going back to Earth," Eric said as he remembered all the cheers back at the castle, "If they're emotionless, how could they act happy like that?"
The three were silent again for a moment. "They found a way to feel emotions again... By eating things that could feel emotions," Chamo explained solemnly.
It took a minute, but the answer to Chamo's words dawned on the Tourists as the feeling of horror filled their beings.
"People... They eat people to feel," Ariel said as she hugged herself, "That's... Horrifying."
No one said anything else. The fear from those words caused an uneasy silence to fill the air. The idea that the Giants were eating people, adults, children, Atlantean, and Merfolk just to feel emotions again was sad and infuriating at the same time. They felt sad that the giants couldn't feel the emotions that made life great was enough to make anyone feel sorry, but knowing the Giants answer to that problem nullified that sadness.
Suddenly, the group was stopped by a thunderous sound. It was enough to shake the very ground the leaves of the trees around the BFG. It was as though the sound of thunder was vibrating the land itself, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
"What is that!? Some kind of giant bird eating beast," Iago exclaimed in fright, "Don't let it eat the Nest Egg!"
"No... That be a giant snoozing," the BFG with an unfazed expression as he moved towards the sound.
As soon as the group looked over the bushes, they saw the source of the thunderous sound. It was a giant on his back sleeping without a care in the world. He was snoring loudly as he scratched his belly in his sleep. The snore was so loud, anyone could mistake it for thunder.
"Looks like Ursula knew we'd be here," Ariel said as the group hid behind some bushes, "It will be hard to set up our trap for her if he wakes up."
"Not to mention we'd be surrounded when he wakes up when the army arrives," Dax added.
"Jack, isn't there some kind of flower bomb that can keep him asleep long enough to complete our plan," Arista asked Jack as he looked at him.
"I'm afraid not," Jack answered, "And I'm down to my last four sleep bombs. I do have a few stun bombs and stink bombs. But they wouldn't last long on giants." Everyone looked down from this news while knowing Jack needed to make every bomb count.
"If the plan works, you'll only need one bomb though," Dax pointed out, "So I think you can spare another bomb for this giant."
"There are two more problems though Gov," Jack told them, "The first is the sleep bombs only work when the person is awake. One someone who is asleep, it's just Big Ben in the morning. The second is if the Giant loses his balance while dozing off, he could fall over the edge and kill anyone down there."
"Jack's right," Chamo added, "Part of our job is keeping this place a secret. If it started raining giants, people will become curious."
The thought of someone dying by a falling giant was bad enough, but more people coming up to Giants Land just to be eaten was even worse.
"Wait a minute," Eric said as a thought crossed his mind, "There have been planes and space crafts that flew past the clouds. How come no one has ever seen this place before?"
"The land be moving in the sky land," the BFG explained, "Always moving with the clouds. But the beanstalk holds the land in place. It be like the root of a tree reaching down to stay in place."
"So the beanstalks are like anchors and the land just happened to be over Port Royal," Ariel asked as the BFG nodded, "Crazy coincidence that the land was over Port Royal of all places."
"Not to worry, I have a plan," Jack said as he jumped down from the BFG's shoulder, "Just wait for my signal." He then started walking towards the sleeping Giant while whistling to himself.
The blonde mermaid princess along with the other newcomers watched nervously as Jack marched his way towards the giant blocking the beanstalk. 'He must have some kind of strategy,' she thought as she held her hands in hope, 'He's been fighting giants most of his life. Surely he has a plan to-'
"Good morning," Jack called out in a carefree tone of voice much to everyone but the BFG and Chamo's surprise as the sleeping giant woke up.
'He's doomed,' the two mermaid princesses, Eric, Dax, and Iago thought in dread.
"What? What," the Giant exclaimed as he looked around. As soon as he saw Jack smiling and waving at him, all the sleep left his face as the Giant jumped up on his feet with his weapon at the ready. "YOU! Little Jumping BEAN," the Giant roared, "You want this beanstalk! But you can't have it! No one is to pass while I stand guard!"
"But you want to let me pass," Jack told the giant in a casual tone of voice.
The giant looked offended by his words, "NO! I don't want to let you pass!"
"But you do want to," Jack said in a confident voice,
"I don't want to," the giant argued back.
"You do want to."
"I DON'T want to!"
As the two argued, the two mermaid sisters and animals were left stunned by what was going on.
"I don't understand. Why is he just talking to the giant," Arista whispered to the BFG.
The BFG just smiled, "You'll be seeing."
"He can't honestly believe this is going to work," Ariel said in disbelief as she looked at her boyfriend, "We should jump in there to help, right Eric?"
Eric was silent causing Ariel to look at him only to see his stunned expression.
"I can't believe it," Eric said completely stunned. Not from what Jack was doing, but from recognizing it. "He's actually on the oldest and simplest trick in the book," Eric said, "He can't honestly think this is going to work!"
"What's going to work," Dax asked in confusion due to not recognizing it either, "I've been a statue for years. Is this some new mind trick?"
Back with Jack and the Giant, they were continuing the endless argument.
"You do want to."
"I DON'T want to!"
"You do want to."
"I DON'T want to!"
"You don't want to," Jack answered back causing the Tourists in the bushes minus Eric to look in surprise.
"I do want to," the Giant shot back.
"You don't want to," Jack countered.
"I DO want to," the Giant said.
"You don't want," Jack answered back.
"I DO WANT TO," the Giant yelled out in anger and then pointed to behind him, "NOW GET OVER THERE!"
Jack just shrugged, "Well if you insist," Jack said as he casually walked past the angry giant.
Everyone behind the shrubs minus the BFG and Chamo were stunned. The Giant had been easily tricked by a simple reversal of words and he still hadn't caught on to it.
Suddenly the Giant's angry eyes widened as he realized what he just did. "Hey! Wait a min-"
Just as the giant was turning around to attack Jack, a blast of yellow smoke surrounded his face thanks to another pollen bomb from Jack. The Giant's vision began to fade as the pollen took effect.
"I hate when he does that," the Giant said before falling backwards creating an Earthquake that shook the land. As soon as the loud sound from the impact faded, he resumed sleeping just as he was doing
"Okay! It's safe now," Jack called out as the group emerged from the bushes and walked up to him.
Everyone walked out towards Jack who smiled as though nothing happened. Arista just ran up to him in a rush and grabbed his shoulders. "What were you thinking," she asked in shock from Jack's actions, "He could've eaten you on the spot!"
"I was prepared for that, but I also knew some Giants are easily fooled," Jack explained as he headed towards the others approaching them.
Arista caught up to him, "But how did you know that would work?"
"If Bugs Bunny can do it, then so can I," Jack asked after shrugging while walking. Before Arista could saying anything else, Jack clapped his hands, "Alright everyone, let's get to work! We don't have much time so let's make this count."
As the group began to work on their plan, Arista follow Jack. "Who's Bugs Bunny," Arista asked him, "Is he another Britain Royal?"
"No, he's one of the greatest comedians to ever exist," Jack answered while not going into greater detail.
Next Chapter: The Battle Begins
Things are about to get very dangerous for our group. Not only do they have to save Pacifica, but stop Fallon and his giants from getting down the beanstalk. Thankfully, Frey and Kida are on the way with a fast way down due to the beanstalk being cut down by Port Royal officials. But even if the giants are stopped, the greatest challenge is Arista and Ariel reparing their sisterly friendship. Hope everyone is safe and healthy for the holidays.
