Here it is, the buildup to the final battle. I'm sorry this took so long. But with my return to college and my decision to keep my job at the smoke shop, I don't really have days off other than holidays anymore. This is when things get worse before they get better for our heroes as the Giants begin to get some wins of their own. Enjoy.
Chapter 14: The Battle Begins; The Scales of Power Shifts
Giants Land
7:30 am
The forest shook as leaves fell from the tops of trees from the powerful vibrations coming from the ground. One would think it was an earthquake, but it was really a giant-quake. Marching through the forest was every giant led by Fallon and Fleshlumpeater. They were all equipped armor and carrying weapons from swords, hammers, maces, and clubs. Behind then was a large cart carrying more weapons and small stones was being pulled by a creature of some sort that was blocked from view by the army of giants.
Fallon's was the most unique of them all. On his left shoulder was the skull of an animal with horns, it was missing its lower jaw, and had stitches on its face. Fallon's chest armor had a face sticking its tongue out and roaring. Fallon's helmet was a regular metal one while his second head wore a helmet with a mask guard on it.
The Giants were ready for battle and to conquer the lands they had been banished from for thousands of years. At long last, they would have their revenge on the humans who kept them trapped, and be able to eat them again. However, there was a feeling of resentment among the Giants, Fallon most of all. The source was obvious to all of them. In the middle of the army, four giants were carrying a makeshift throne made of wood and metal. In the center of it was the still mind controlled Pacifica who sat crossed legged and had a confident smile as she sat on the throne.
'Things might not have gone as planned, but we're back on schedule,' Ursula thought, 'That little tramp and her beloved boyfriend's escape complicated things, but they only have one way down. The two of them might be stronger than before, but they are no match for a giant. Even with the help of another wielder. As long as I have the crown, the Giants will do whatever I wish.'
Ursula was brought out of her train of thought when a bright light got her attention. She looked up to see the edge of the forest was in view as sunlight broke through the openings in the trees.
"Stop," Ursula ordered the Giants. The crown glowed as the Giants did as commanded. They stopped in their tracks against their will as the four giants kneeled down allowing Ursula to step down. "Steps," Ursula ordered as two other Giants were forced to get on all fours and form steps. 'I promised you servants that would serve you hand and foot, Pacifica,' Ursula thought as she smirked, 'If you were conscious, I'm sure you'd be enjoying this more if it was Ariel and her friends doing the same thing.'
The other Giants didn't say anything, but they felt great shame as to what this person was making them do. But Fallon felt the most shame as he growled with his back to Ursula while his second head sneered at Ursula. 'Enjoy your time with your precious army body snatcher,' Fallon thought in anger, 'It won't last much longer.'
Pacifica walked towards Fallon as she observed the area. "Looking for the 'Runt' as you put him, Fallon," she asked in an insulting tone of voice, "Here I thought you two weren't friends anymore."
Fallon glared at Ursula's puppet while his second head growled at her. "We aren't and never will be," Fallon answered with venom in his voice, "But where ever that fool is, the Blood of King Erik will be close as well."
"Hmph. If that boy is anything like that accursed Thatch boy, I wouldn't be surprised," the controlled girl said, "But even if with his new friends, none of them stand a chance against all of you at once."
"If I could feel joy without eating one of you, I'd feel pleased by such a compliment," Fallon answered in a mocking tone of voice.
Ursula ignored that as she looked through the breaks in the trees towards the edge of the land. Pacifica's face scowled from not being able to get a clear view of the edge. 'I need a clearly view before proceeding,' Ursula thought after noticing her guard wasn't in sight as she looked upwards, 'I need a view from above.'
A Moment Later
"Higher."
"Higher."
"Higher."
Pacifica was standing on Fallon's palm as she forced him to lift her up so she could see. Despite Ursula being higher than a most buildings in Port Royal, she wasn't satisfied with the view even though she could see clearing.
Fallon continued to stretch his arm as high as it could go into the air.
"Even higher," Ursula ordered still not satisfied with the view. She pointed to Fleshlumpeater. "You," Ursula ordered using Pacifica's voice, "Give him a lift."
On cue, the crown glowed forcing Fleshlumpeater to get on his knees and arms much to his anger. Then, Fallon stepped on the kneeling giant's back allowing Pacifica to rise even more into the air. Pacifica and through her, Ursula, could now see more of the clearing more clearly. Pacifica's face scowled more from what she saw through the gaps of the trees. At the edge of Giant's Land was the giant she assigned to guard the way down, out cold.
"Fallon, do you see what I see," Ursula asked the leader of the giants in a displeased voice.
Fallon was scowling as well at the sight of the giant sleeping rather than his job of guarding the beanstalk. "I do," he answered in an annoyed tone of voice, "Seems as though our shared enemies have beaten us here and returned to the surface"
"It would seem so," Ursula said as she had Fallon step down from Fleshlumpeater's back, "But if this Wielder of Destiny is like the ones I know, they wouldn't leave without this girl. So, they're most likely hiding somewhere-"
"ATTENTION GIANTS AND BODY SNATCHER!"
Fallon, Ursula, and all the other giants looked towards the source of the voice that called for their attention. There walking towards them was none other than Jack who was speaking through a megaphone made of vegetation on top of his staff. He approached the giants much to their glee while Fallon looked with suspicion at the boy. Ursula's mind-controlled hostage however looked with interest as Jack stepped forward.
"Well... If it ain't be being the jumping bean," Fleshlumpeater said in an angry tone of voice, "Stepping towards his enemies he be doing."
"Finally givin' up he be doing," another giant said.
"I call dibs," another spoke out ready to eat him.
The giants began to surround the boy that had been the biggest pain of their existence ever since BFG brought him to their home. From getting in the way eating stray humans that enter their land to stopping them from bullying the BFG. Just as one was about to reach for him...
"No one eats him but me!"
All the giants stopped in their tracks the moment their heard their leader's order. Despite their hatred for Jack, their feared Fallon more. They backed away as the general still holding their 'queen' in the palm of his hand as she glared down at Jack.
"So, you've come to us," Pacifica said as she looked around, "I don't see any of your friends. Have they realized they stand no chance against these giants?"
"No clue," Jack answered as he shrugged as though being surrounded by blood thirsty giants was a regular thing for him, "They went back down the beanstalk but I haven't the faintest idea what Jolly Old England is like anymore. I wouldn't even know how to live down there anymore."
"Then you'd be distracting us to give those beans time to esapin you be doing," another giant yelled out ready to attack.
"Nope. I've accepted my fate," Jack said as he put his hands in the air, "The beanstalk is still there, I'm out of pollen bombs, and I'm outnumbered in more ways than one."
The giants looked at Jack in shock as they talked amongst themselves. Here he was, the guy that always protected the BFG, saved the humans the stumbled into Giants Land from being eaten, and always got away from their traps was standing before them ready to surrender. While most of the giants smiled with malicious intent, those like Thum and Fallon weren't convinced.
"And how did the runt take the news," Fleshlumpeater demanded to know, "Did he cry like the little baby that he being?"
"He made a run for it," Jack admitted sadly, "I'm not sure where he went or even if he's still here."
All the giants minus Fallon and Thum laughed their heads off as their mocking laughter filled the air.
"A coward until the end!"
"We shouldn't be being surprised at his cowardice!"
"A pathetic giant like the others in the dungeon!"
As the giants roared with insults, Fallon continued to glare at Jack. 'The Blood of King Erik is a number of things. But he's far from someone who would give up' Fallon thought to himself.
Pacifica's face made a scowl showing that Ursula wasn't buying it. 'He should know we're not over this England place. Knowing how quickly Ariel and her boyfriend can make friends with others, those two would've told him where they were from,' Ursula thought to herself before grinning, 'Still... He's practically giving himself up and there's no water around for Ariel to use even if she was here. Plus, I have an army of immortal giants at my command. Who wouldn't want to surrender?'
"But as a final request, I would like to say one thing," Jack yelled getting all the giants attention.
"Little beans don't get to say words," Thum exclaimed as he held his weapon at the ready, "They are either smashed or eaten!"
The other giants roared in agreement as they prepared to attack.
"Wait."
The giants were stopped in their tracks by Pacifica's voice as everyone looked at her.
"Let the boy say his final words," Pacifica said in a confident tone of voice, "It might be amusing to see what he actually has to say."
"I must protest against this," Fallon said as he continued to glare, "That boy may be small but he's proven to be more cunning than any being I have seen. We should eliminate him before he can try anything."
Pacifica laughed at Fallon's idea. "What trick? Even if he is hiding a bomb on him, he's practically surrounded by all of you," Pacifica asked him, "Besides, I want to laugh at whatever he says so his demise is all the more satisfying."
Fallon and his second head groaned at Ursula's answer. "Your overconfidence will be the end of you, Witch," Fallon answered with a growl.
Pacifica simply sneered as she looked towards Jack. "So, Heir of King Erik," Pacifica yelled out, "What are your final words? You better make them worth it because soon you'll be going down Fallon's throat!"
Jack stood in the center if the circle of murderous giants ready to tear him apart piece by piece with a neutral expression. The air was quiet as the giants waited for Jack's final words to leave his lips. The tension in the air could be cut with a knife as time seemed to slow down for everyone.
"-sh zone..."
Jack's words left the giants and Ursula confused as they couldn't hear his words.
"What did he say?"
"I don't know?"
"Something about a cone?"
"What's a cone?"
The giants began to murmur amongst themselves as they tried to figure out what Jack said. Even Fallon and Pacifica looked confused before she glared again.
"Alright... Repeat what you just said but louder," Ursula commanded Jack to do, "THEN Fallon will swallow you whole!"
Jack grinned as he took in a deep breath.
"SPLAAAAAASH ZOOONEEEEEEE!"
Jack yelled his final words as loudly as he could as his voice rung through the land. If there were any animals in the area, they would've scampered off in fright from the voice.
The moment the air became quiet, all the giants and Pacifica looked at Jack in confusion.
"Splash zone?"
"What be a splash zone?"
"Maybe it's something from Bean World."
"Sounds wet. I hate wet."
Fallon and his second head continued to glare at Jack after hearing his words. Before he could speak though, Pacifica let out a loud laugh the filled the air.
"THOSE ARE IT," Pacifica roared out in a mocking tone of voice, "YOU WASTE YOUR LAST WORDS ON SOME SURFACE GIBBERISH!?"
"Oh no, no," Jack responded with a grin as he looked up, "Those weren't my last words. They were a signal."
All the giants became alert as they looked around for an ambush that was on the way. But there was nothing. No giant logs to trip them up, man-made avalanches, or nets filled with pollen bombs.
"YOU!? ALL BY YOURSELF," Pacifica yelled in disbelief as she continued to laugh. What she failed to notice were dark clouds beginning to form above everyone. "SO WHAT IS YOUR GRAND SCHEME!? ARE YOU GOING TO DO A DANCE? OR MAYBE SING A SONG TO CHANGE OUR WAYS?! OR PERHAPS-"
"WWWAAAAAAAAAATTTTEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR!"
Suddenly, a handful of giants began to run around in fear as they cried out in fear.
"YUCK!"
"CLEAN!"
"THE SKY WATER WILL STEAL OUR GLORIOUS STENCH!"
The giants that worked with Fleshlumpeater began to panic as they pushed their way through the crowd of other giants. Pacifica looked around in confusion as to what was happening. "Fallon, what are they going on about- AHHH," Pacifica yelled at Fallon when she suddenly felt something wet on her, "What crustaceans!? Water!?"
Pacifica looked up to see the dark clouds as water droplets began to fall from the sky. Only these were much larger droplets. They were the size of a person as the drops began to fall at a faster pace.
"Some of the giants are extremely childish! Not only do they talk like fools, they also fear ridiculous things such as being clean," Fallon answered in an annoyed tone, "Due to that, they were better gatherers than fighters during the first invasion."
Pacifica groaned as a scowl appeared on her face. "I go through the trouble of secretly stealing the crown from Triton's Treasury and leaving a replica behind, have an undead pirate captain steal magical beans," Ursula thought in frustration, "go through the trouble of arranging Ariel to be caught in the beanstalk, capture someone to use as a puppet, and half the giants are afraid of water!? I'll put a stop to their ridiculous panicking! Giants," Pacifica began to order as the headband changed into the crown, "I order-"
Suddenly, a waterfall of water landed on Fallon which also swept Pacifica in the stream of water as she fell from the giant's hand. Despite her attempts to move, the stream of water combined with gravity caused her to fall straight down to Fallon's feet. She landed on her front as water continued to pour around her and the giants.
"What-What is this," Pacifica tried to say as she tried to pick herself up even as the water continued to fall and the ground shook from the panicking giants' stomping. Before Ursula could issue another command to her puppet, something else caught her attention. Something was preventing her from moving the possessed girl's arms, legs, or even her mouth. Through her magical bubble, Ursula could see that Pacifica's body was wrapped around her entire body.
"What's going on," Ursula exclaimed as she looked at the bubble in frustration, "How is that fool of a wielder doing all of this?!"
Suddenly, Ursula's projection showed Pacifica's point of view go dark as the sounds of giants yelling and water falling from the sky. The more she attempted to regain control of Pacifica with no success, the more infuriated Ursula as becoming.
"What is going on up there now," the Witch of the Sea exclaimed in anger, "Those infernal teens are ruining my plans again!"
Cavern
As the Aquaphobic giants continued to run around in a panic along with Fallon marching through the forest, Jack, Eric, and Ariel returned to the cavern he and the others made after knocking the other giant out. In the arms of Ariel and Eric was the still wrapped in vines and struggling Pacifica while the crown continued to glow as though it was still trying to control her while Jack led the way. They would've removed the crown right away if it wasn't for the vibrations from the panicking giants above causing the cavern to shake and risk a cave-in to occur.
"Nice use of the water works," Eric said as the three teens hurried down the cave, "I only wished it worked on all of them!"
"Thanks Eric. I can't believe how childish some of the giants are," Ariel said as they continued through the caverns, "The book exaggerated some of the details."
After knocking the giant that was guarding the beanstalk out, the group began to put their plan into action. Eric's group knew that they couldn't fight an entire army of giants to retrieve the crown from Pacifica. The only way was to separate Pacifica from the giants and escape with her without fighting the giants. The group entered the cavern that Ariel and Arista were in when they first entered Giant's Land and went further in to a point where it entered the forest. After digging a hole to allow quick access, the group began to work on thier trap. While the BFG helped Ariel and Eric into the trees who then left to hide from the other giants. Once the army began to approach the forest, Jack stepped out to locate Pacifica. Once he did, he used the signal 'Splash Zone' to have Ariel water bend another blast of rain from the sky scaring the giants, and allowed Jack to capture Pacifica before she could order the giants to attack. Eric helped Ariel down the treetops, the two met up with Jack, and they all escaped into the hole they made without being seen.
As more pieces of dirt and rocks fell from the vibrations of the giants stomping, the three continued down the cavern to meet up with the others. The ground vibrated with every stomp from the panicking giants. As they continued, Jack used his staff to shot small seeds at the ceiling that quickly grew into vines that held the cavern's ceiling in place even as the quakes continued.
"Do you think the giants saw us escape," Eric asked as he looked back from where they came from, "There were a lot of giants back there and one of them could've seen us."
"We have to assume one or more of them did," Jack answered as he continued to shoot seeds from his staff to stabilize the cave's walls, "All the more reason to hurry."
"I just hope the others are ready to go," Ariel said in a hurry, "Arista has never been on this kind of adventure before! I hope she and the others are-"
SLAM!
After turning the final corner of the cave, the three were stunned to see the source of the loud sound. In the final tunnel leading to the exit where the beanstalk stood was the others waiting for them. Though they were far from scared or panicking. Lying flat on the wall was Chamo as though he was smacked into it. Across from him was Arista with an angry expression as smoke rose from her fist. A little further into the cave from the angry blond were Iago, Sebastian, and Dax sitting on top of the gooseling looking nervous.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU," Arista exclaimed, "HOW CAN YOU THINK OF MY SEASHELLS AT A TIME LIKE THIS!?"
As Chamo slowly slid down the wall, his head tilted to look at Arista. "I thought it would help you relax if your bra strap was properly adjusted," Chamo told her in a pained but goofy voice, "I asked with pure intentions, I assure you."
"I bet you say that to all the girls as well," Arista shot back not buying Chamo's words for a second.
"Not all the girls," Chamo weakly says, "Only the ones that need to have their bras adjusted."
Near the exit to the beanstalk, Iago and Sebastain looked at Dax who didn't seem surprised at all by what was happening. "So has he always been like this," Iago asked Dax confused as how Dax was just smirking.
"No... Before he would just steal girls' bras," Dax answered, "Now he seems pretty tamed."
"That guy has a lot of nerve being perverted around her highness," Sebastian exclaimed in an angry tone, "King Triton would be furious to know someone like this is around two of his daughters!"
As new adventurer and the perverted ermine continued to argue, Ariel and Eric weren't sure how the two could argue over bras when there was an army of giants out to eat them while Pacifica's body continue to struggle in their arms. Jack just shook his head as though he saw this coming knowing his partner.
'Are we really going to be okay,' Eric and Ariel thought at the same time as they continued to observe the scene before them. Finally, Arista and the others noticed the others had returned.
"Oh hi," Arista said with a wave of her hand as all the anger left her face, "Nice job catching Ursula's puppet."
Before anyone could say anything, Chamo immediately leaped into the air like a bird taking flight. Everyone looked at the ermine as he fell and landed on top of the struggling Pacifica who yelling was muffled by the vines over her mouth.
"Time to do my part," Chamo declared as he pulled a handful of multi-colored powder and blew it into Pacifica's face. The powder entered Pacifica's exposed nose causing her to struggle more and more. Suddenly, her movement began to slow down as her eyes gained a glassy look before she finally stopped moving.
Everyone other than Jack looked at Pacifica looked in shock at her lack of movement.
"What did you do," Eric asked in alarm at what he just saw.
"I used a mixture of different pollens to induce selective memory along with temporary paralysis and sleep," Chamo explained as he jumped on Jack's shoulders as he undid the vines around Pacifica's upper body, "I may be out of the loop of how magic has changed down below, but I still my way around certain spells. This will keep this Ursula character from controlling this girl for a while and she won't remember any of this if she was conscious for any of it."
"And here I was worried we would have to tell Pacifica everything," Ariel said in relief.
"No worries on that," Jack declared as he held the crown recently removed from Pacifica's head, "And with this, we can end this war before it begins."
Suddenly, the ground above them shook violently, and a cave-in occurred. Chunks and rock and earth fell from above as the cave shook more and more. Seeing this, Jack pushed Arista out of the way as the passageway was blocked cutting of Jack and Chamo from the others. Only a small opening was left for the two groups to see through.
"Jack! Chamo," Arista exclaimed as she ran for the hole in the newly formed wall of soil and stone. Fear filled her being as she looked through the hole for signs of the two in question as the others slowly recovered from the cave in.
Through the hole, she could see beams of light fill the cave. Parts of the cave's ceiling were now on the floor. The sound of thumping filled the air and the ground continued to vibrate.
'The giants tracked us down,' Arista thought in alarm as she continued to look through the hole in desperation, 'How did they follow us back?! Please let those two be alright!'
Suddenly, another earthquake occurred causing Arista to lose her footing and stumble backwards. She landed on her back as another cave in began.
"Look out Arista!"
Hearing that, Arista saw the stones from above begin to fall. Only for her to be pulled out of the way by Ariel as Eric helped Dax and the others.
Before anything else could be said, a fist broke through the ceiling, and hit the floor. The hand spread out like an octopus spreading its arms out to feel around the ocean floor.
"I know you're in here somewhere, Mermaids!"
The two girls looked up recognizing the voice of Thum from the castle. His hand continued to feel around for the girls who quickly moved away from the hand towards Eric and the others. On the way there, Pacifica was still wrapped in vines and unconscious. Ariel and Arista lifted her up and carried her back as well.
"Come on out and join your friend Jack," Thum gloated glee as he punched through the ceiling a second time.
The moment Arista heard Thum's words, time seemed to stand still for her. The thought of the first human she met the she realized was different from the ones she was told about in the hands of those monsters made her see nothing but red. The rage she was feeling made stop in her tracks as her fists shook showing the growing anger.
"Those... Vile," Arista said as the anger continued to grow. She had never felt this angry about anything before as she dropped Pacifica onto the ground.
"No time to stand still, sis," Ariel exclaimed as she reached for her sister's hand, "We have to-"
ZAP!
Ariel's hand suddenly felt a volt of electricity go through her as she backed away. It was like a static shock but felt strong enough to actually hurt. She looked at her hand as it shook from the electric shock for a second before another earthquake occurred.
"Arista, we have to go," Ariel told her older sister as she grabbed Arista's wrist again to run from the collapsing clusters of dirt and stone while pulling Pacifica behind her.
As much as Arista wanted to argue back, the chance of being buried alive was a compelling argument to keep running with Ariel as they rejoined Eric as he helped the animals.
"I'M TOO YOUNG TO BE BURIED ALIVE OR EATEN," Iago exclaimed as he hugged the gooseling's neck, "I HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN TO LAS VEGAS YET!"
"Get a hold of yourself! You money grubbing bird," Dax yelled out as he hugged the back of the gooseling along with Sebastian, "We've been in worse situations than this!"
"No mon! This is the worst so far," Sebastian exclaimed, "This is like ten Golden Armies at once!"
"Jack and Chamo have been captured by the giants," Arista exclaimed as she and Ariel joined the others, "We have to save them!"
"We will," Eric assured her as they made their way to the exit, "There's no way we're leaving him to be some giant's morning snack!"
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR SURFIN' MIND," Iago squawked in horror, "We are you, two princesses, an otter, a crab, an infinite source of treasure, and me! Wait, don't count me and the Nest Egg."
"I hate to agree with Iago, but he's right Eric," Sebastian shouted, "We need back-up!"
"Did someone say back-up?"
Above Ground
The giants that weren't panicking over Ariel's water bending were digging for the princesses, Eric, and Pacific all over the clearing. Every giant was pulling up chunks of Earth or smashing it with their weapons to weaken it as they didn't have any digging tools on them. Fallon however was standing near the beanstalk with a grin on his face while his other head was smiling like an excited child.
"The thought of seeing a beanstalk again was one of the many things I waited for since the first-time centuries ago," Fallon stated as though talking to himself, "When you first started causing trouble and protecting the BFG, I knew I would one day finally get my hands on you." Fallon lifted his right hand up revealing Jack and Chamo caught in Fallon's grip as he held them tightly. "But I never thought it would happen on the same day," he finished with a devilish smile on his face.
"Well, you're just the chipper fellow today aren't you," Jack said putting on a brave face, "What's stopping you from just eating me right now? Afraid I'll knock another tooth out?"
Fallon's second head growled as he attempted to reach over and bite his head off, but couldn't thanks to Fallon moving the two captives from the head.
"Not yet! It's too soon," Fallon told his head, "I want the BFG to see what the act of defying his ruler is by eating these two before him!"
"Oh great. Fallon's gone from general to trademark villainous king," Chamo joked as he attempted to wiggle free, "Next thing you know he's going to have an evil laugh and a villainous mustache."
"There's an image the world could do without," Jack joked even though Fallon tightened his grip causing both captives to groan in pain.
"Joke all you want boy," Fallon said in a victorious tone of voice as he lifted his left hand near Jack and Chamo revealing the Crown of King Erik on his index and middle fingers, "It will be the last time you ever do."
Jack and Chamo glared at the crown as it glowed on Fallon's finger. After being captured, Fallon was able to take the crown from Jack during the cave-in. The one thing they knew they had to keep as far away from the giants as possible and it was on the finger of the worst giant of them all. The two could feel the weight of their failure more than their possible impending deaths.
Fallon moved closer to the edge of Giants Land about to look down at the Earth again. "All this time, I would always stare down at the surface wanting revenge on King Erik and his children for turning my home into a prison," Fallon continued gloating as he turned away from the edge of the world, "But now... His descendant, weapon, and crown are all mine! I can just imagine the look of shame he would have knowing his bloodline has failed him."
Fallon stared at Jack's face expecting him to have a look of defeat. What Fallon saw though was a look of strong determination on Jack's face. It was as though having everything taken from him hadn't fazed one bit.
Fallon chuckled at Jack's brave face. "You are either facing your fate with courage or you have lost your mind," Fallon questioned with a glare on his face, "Are you expecting me to allow you some final words?! You already used those up! You have nothing left to fight back with!"
For a moment, Jack was silent in the face of Fallon's mocking as the general turned king glared at him expecting Jack to cave in any moment now. Jack could feel the heat and the foul stench of Fallon's breath in his face. It was like a blast of hot wind in the desert if it passed over a garbage dump. The sight of a giant with an appetite for humans was enough to break anyone's spirit.
Jack however... simply grinned.
"You're right governor. I'm all out of tricks," Jack replied much to Fallon's anger and confusion, "But they aren't."
Fallon became more confused from Jack's words when suddenly...
"HEY BALDY!"
The new voice caught the attention of both of Fallon's heads who turned towards the source of the voice. Only for a blast of blue lightning hit Fallon right in the chest sending him backwards on the ground. The sound of the bolt and the impact of Fallon's body caused all the giants to stop what they were doing to see what was happening. As the dust cleared and the sound of thunder began to fade, the giants along with Fallon saw what it was that put a smile on Jack's face.
Floating just above the beanstalk were Frey, Kida, Lilo, and Stitch riding one Fish Atlantean vehicle and Eric along with the animals riding the second. Behind them was the four-seat Stingray Atlantean vehicle with Ariel piloting with Arista and the still tied up Pacifica in the front. Lilo was currently snapping as many pictures as many pictures as she could of the unbelievable sight before her.
"I'm going to need to turn the attic into my personal memory wall after this summer," Lilo exclaimed in joy and excitement while Stitch pulled out his blasters ready for a fight.
As the giants were processing what was happening, Fallon was beginning to recover from the electric blast. His armor provided protection from the bolt of lightning, but he could still feel the heat and jolts coming off his armor.
"Don't just stand there like a bunch of rocks," Fallon ordered as he began to stand up, but found himself unable to. That was when he noticed that his joints were held down by large roots that sprouted out of the ground. For a moment, Fallon was stunned but his anger returned as he looked at his right hand. Jack and Chamo were no longer in his grip.
'I must have dropped the boy when I was attacked,' Fallon thought quickly as he realized what Jack up to.
"Attack giants," Fallon ordered as the crown around his finger glowed, "Attack the vehicles and find that infernal human and his pet!"
The giants roared as they proceeded to attack, whether it was from the magic of the crown, just their love of battle, or a combination of both. The giants began to attack anyway they can from throwing rocks, their weapons, or stones from slingshots towards the three Atlantean vehicles. As the vehicles moved out of the way, another group of giants began to free Fallon from plant like bonds. As Fallon stood up, he began to scan the area for Jack and Chamo through the clouds of dirt and the roar of battle in the area.
Among the clouds of dust and battle, Fallon saw his prey. Jack and Chamo who was on his shoulder was running towards the one of the holes the giants made attempting to capture the group before.
"Oh no you don't," Fallon growled as he ran through the crowd towards Jack.
Back with Ariel and Arista, they were dodging the attacks as best as they could while looking for Jack.
"Are you sure you know how to direct this strange fish," Arista asked as she looked for Jack and Chamo, "It seems much harder than the chariots back home."
"I'm sure I can," Ariel cried as dodged a flying boulder, "Just focus on finding your boyfriend," she finished with a sly grin on her face.
Suddenly, Arista spotted Jack making a break for one of the holes in the ground. "There he is," she exclaimed while pointing at him. She then turned to look at her younger sister with a slight glare, "And he's not my boyfriend."
Ariel simply grinned as she steered the ship towards Jack who was still dodging everything in his way.
"You know, despite being stuck in a battle field filled with giants," Jack said as jumped over another blade directed at him, "I'm having quite a bit of fun!"
"Jack, you are seriously twisted individual," Chamo replied with a deadpanned expression. But then he had a huge smile, "That's why I'm never bored around you, partner!"
Jack shot him a grin just as the Atlantean vehicle flew towards him. Behind him though, Fallon was charging at him with his flail in hand.
"You won't be getting away this time, boy," Fallon declared as he swung the flail with a groaning face engraved on the spiked weapon.
As the Atlantean vehicle flew towards Jack and the approaching weapon, Arista held her hand out for Jack to grab and Jack managed to grab on just as the flail crashed into the ground. Another cloud of dirt filled the air obscuring Fallon's view. Fallon backed away as the battle around him continued as bolts of blue lightning hit the ground from Eric and Frey's vehicles.
"GOT THEM," Fallon's second head asked him as Fallon continued to stare. Suddenly, a humming sound filled the air as the vehicle flew out towards Fallon at lightning speed. Then it swerved to the right of Fallon like an insect flying at high speed and avoiding an obstacle. Fallon turned and followed the vehicle in question with a glare as he snarled in anger.
On the vehicle, Jack was now in the back as Ariel piloted the ship towards the edge again through the once calm edge of the land.
"Thanks for the save ladies," Jack said from the backseat, "Best we take our leave now."
"You won't hear any argument from me," Ariel added as she piloted the ship around the battle field. Arista nodded in agreement.
As the ship headed towards the edge, Ariel gave the okay to Eric and Frey who ceased the battle and headed for the edge of the land.
"Mission accomplished," Eric said as he gave a thumbs up to the Frey's ship, "Now let's get out of here!"
"Right behind you buddy," Frey yelled back as the ships headed for the edge.
"DON'T LET THEM ESCAPE," Fallon ordered as he ran for the edge, "FOLLOW THEM DOWN THE BEANSTALK!"
As Fallon led the charge, the giants continued to throw stones and other things with the ferocity of cannon balls at the three escaping ships. The teens were forced to do evasive maneuvers to avoid the attacks.
"These giants don't know when to quit," Frey exclaimed as he barely dodged another chunk of rock.
"They certainly live up to the legends about them," Kida added as she held on to Frey.
"How about we admire the living legends after we're away from them," Arista exclaimed as the ship did a quick spin to avoid an attack, "I don't know how much more of this spinning on the surface!" If it wasn't for her and the others holding on to the ship and Pacifica, the pilot and passengers of the ship would've fallen out. Finally, the three ships escaped the battle and headed down towards the surface of Port Royal. Despite all the attacks from the giants, soon the ships were out of reach of their attacks.
Fallon glared at the escaping vehicles in rage as his balled-up fists shook. The very sight of the descendants of his jailers escaping was enough to make anyone snap. The General turned King looked at the army of giants.
"DOWN THE BEANSTALK! NOW," Fallon ordered as he pointed to the bridge between the worlds, "BEFORE THEY-"
Suddenly, the beanstalk began to vibrate a bit getting all the giants' attention. The beanstalk suddenly moved to the right until it finally fell down towards the surface below beyond their reach. Just like that, their bridge back to the Land of Men was gone once again. All the giants moaned and groaned in defeat. Fallon however, just stared down in silent anger once again. He might have gained the Crown of King Erik, but that victory was nothing compared to the taste of the humans below. As storm clouds rolled in obstructing his view, King Fallon knew his main goal was lost.
'I may have lost the mankind... But I still have the BFG to lure the last of King Erik's kin," Fallon thought to himself as he walked away from the edge of the land.
As he headed towards the other disappointed giants, his second head began to grunt to get Fallon's attention.
"Not now," Fallon barked as he wasn't in the mood for whatever his second head was saying, "We have other business to attend to."
The second head continued to grunt though as he looked towards something.
"What," Fallon said as he would normally know what his second head was saying as he continued to grunt, "What are you talking-"
Fallon became silent as he looked towards the direction the second head was eyeing. The sight of the object on the ground near the edge of the land caught the Giants' new king interest as he moved towards it. It was a familiar brown pouch of sorts left on the ground. Fallon reached over and carefully picked up the tiny pouch with his fingertips.
As Fallon inspected the pouch with interest, Fumm and Fleshlumpeater approached their new king wondering what he was looking at.
"What that be," Fleshlumpeater asked the king.
"Looks like something one of the humans would have," Fumm answered, "It must have fallen off of one of them when they were escaping."
Ignoring the two giants behind him, Fallon took the pouch and dumped its contents into his other hand. From out of the pouch, five black and red seeds landed in the palm of the hand that wore the crown. Fallon smiled slightly at the sight of the seeds in his hand while Fleshlumpeater and Fumm stared in surprise.
"Are those being," Fleshlumpeater asked as hope began to rise within him and the others.
"Bean," Fallon's second head exclaimed in joy as his eyes widen in excitement.
"But... Are they the real ones," Fumm asked as he looked at the seeds with hope, "There are many kinds of seeds here and in the world of man and they could be fake."
Fallon looked towards the stream of water that flowed into the cave where the open mouth was located at the edge of the land. "Only one way to find out," Fallon answered as he blew the seeds from his hand.
The seeds were sent flying from his hot breath like sand in the wind and landed in the stream below. As the seeds flowed with the current of water, the black and red shell began to peel away revealing the white insides. Then, smell green stems began to sprout of the white body as the seeds headed towards the cave opening.
As Fallon and the Giants stared at the edge of their world waiting to see what happened next, the ground beneath them vibrated violently. But the Giants stood their ground without losing their balance. The vibration became worse, but the Giants smiled for they knew what was happening.
"Are you ready my brothers," Fallon asked as he looked behind him at his fellow Giants, "Can you taste it!?"
The Giants behind him yelled in excitement as the vibrations became stronger.
Fallon breathed in. His face was stern but he was filled with excitement and satisfaction, things he hadn't felt in centuries, "Here comes the thunder..."
As if on command, five new beanstalks burst from the ground like magma from a volcano. The stems grew more and more as they twisted around each other like a double helix. Roots sprouted from the sides as thick and as strong as the roots of ancient trees. It was a sight to behold for the Giants. The bridges to the world below were growing towards the sky with every second.
"FEE! FI! FO! FUMM," Fallon bellowed as the named giants who were also Fallon's most trusted soldiers stepped forward at their leader's command, "ONWARD AND DOWNWARD!"
Another giant blew a great horn that filled the air. The Giants began to roar ready for war as they charged towards the still growing beanstalks. As the Giants raced for the beanstalks, they were yelling about how they were going back to the surface, about eating mankind, and taking back the world. The Giants leaped towards the beanstalks and climbed up the still growing plants. The weight of the multiple Giants caused the beanstalks to tilt over, and reach down while still growing towards Port Royal. The Giants clung to the beanstalk as though it were a life line, only they were filled with satisfaction and murderous joy.
As the Giants continued to charge, Fallon stood there in silent triumphant from being able to return to the land below his home. Fumm and Fleshlumpeater stood by Fallon enjoying the thought of returning as well.
"Remember you two," Fallon said to the two in a commanding tone of voice, "The princesses and Erik's Heir are mine." Fallon's second head growled at the two giants as well ensuring they understood the command Fallon was issuing.
Fleshlumpeater snorted and glared at Fallon but didn't argue. Not just from fear of someone stronger than him but knowing it was pointless now that Fallon had the crown.
"So say the king," Fallon added in reluctant acknowledgement as he and Fleshlumpeater ran for the beanstealk as well.
Fallon watched for a moment as the two giants ran towards the way down. 'It would seem I'll have to remind those two who rules here,' Fallon thought to himself after noticing the two Giants' lack of respect towards him, 'But will have to wait. For now.'
Fallon began to charge forward towards the beanstalks as well. As he ran, the faceplate of his second head's helmet fell down to cover his mouth as he gained a nervous expression as Fallon gained speed. Once Fallon reached the edge, Fallon released an adrenaline filled roar as he leaped off the edge of his world. The wind blew against Fallon's body as gravity pulled him down faster than the beanstalks were growing downwards. As soon as Fallon reached past the other Giants, he grabbed onto the beanstalk, and slid down it causing leaves to fall off in great numbers until he finally stopped.
Ursula's Lair
Ursula stared at the now static filled projection from her cauldron as her anger build inside her.
"This can't be happening," Ursula yelled in frustration, "Everything was perfect! I had the little tramp and her boyfriend captured and ready to exchange for the other two Hearts of the Sea! Surrounded by an immortal army of giants under my control and all my plans fall apart thanks to some unknown wielder! I even had an extra hostage with that girl! I'm beginning to think I should've gone myself!"
Ursula had originally planned to go herself using her Vanessa disguise, but she realized that using someone on the surface was a safer for her if she somehow lost the crown. Plus, she would have another hostage to use against Eric and Ariel due to their compassion for others. It may have taken a great deal of magic to control someone from such a distance through the crown, but it was worth it if she could exploit her enemies' weaknesses. But now, it was all for nothing as she lost her connection due to the crown being removed from her puppet's head.
"If Fallon now has the crown, nothing can stop him and the giants," Ursula said still in anger, "I'll have to inform my partner of this new development."
Skies of Port Royal
Five Minutes Earlier
The sky above the clouds were currently peaceful aside from the dark clouds filled with lightning that flashed in the sky. Flying above the clouds were the three vehicles remaining out of sight of Port Royal and its citizens. The three vehicles flew side by side with each other as they headed towards Eric's house on the beach.
Lilo was currently looking at her camera and all the pictures she took.
"So many great shots," Lilo said as he scrolled through the selection of shots, "Wish I was able to see more of the land though."
"And that's pretty much what happened," Eric said giving Frey's group a brief summary of what happened to him and the others.
"Adventure seems to follow us everywhere," Kida said with a smile, "And with adventure, comes new friends-"
Suddenly, Chamo leapt in the air towards Kida. "YOU'RE BRA STRAP IS CLEARLY ON TO-"
Chamo began to say before Jack grabbed him by the back of his neck and held him in place.
"Sorry, he's very excited to meet new people," Jack explained, "Especially girls."
Kida and Frey looked at the squirming white ermine in confusion.
"Strange friends and new enemies," Frey added looking back at the sky above them, "Still, looks like the plan was a success."
"Yes it was," Ariel added, "We got my sister back, stopped Ursula's plans, saved Pacifica, and stopped the Giants from reaching Earth." Ariel relaxed at the controls of the ship, "I'd say today was a victory for us."
"Not quite," Jack added with a grim expression, "Fallon has the crown. I have to meet up with the BFG at the house from before and head back to make sure old two head doesn't try anything on my friend."
Arista looked a little sad hearing that Jack was going back for good. But also worried that he was willingly going back to a dangerous situation now that Fallon had the Crown of King Erik. "Do you have a plan to retrieve the crown from Fallon," Arista asked Jack.
"Nothing yet. But I'm short on supplies," Jack answered, "It's best that the BFG, Chamo, and I lay low for a while."
"Why would you want to go back," Iago exclaimed from where he was sitting, "We got away from the giants by the skin of our teeth! And you want to go back!? That's suicide!"
"No. Suicide is going in unprepared," Jack countered, "I'm laying low until later."
"Well, I think you're nuts," Iago exclaimed, "I know I'm not going back! Now that I have my little Nest Egg here, I don't need any of the gold back there. Not when I have an endless source of gold right here!"
"And where do you plan to keep your new 'friend' Iago," Frey asked in a serious tone of voice, "There's no way I can hide a gooseling the size of a car at my house! My dad and the rest of the town would-"
"SSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Everyone was silenced by Stitch who was staring at the sky with a serious look on her face. He's eyes were narrowed as he looked up at the sky as his ears flopped from side to side.
The others looked in confusion as Stitch focused on the sky above them. "What's with him," Sebastian asked out loud.
"Don't tell me he's afraid of a little lightning," Iago squawked as the Gooseling shivered in slight fear from the low rumbling.
Suddenly, Stitch looked at the others and began speaking in a fast tone. Frey and Lilo looked at Stitch trying to understand what he was saying while everyone looked at Stitch as his gibberish was hard to understand.
"What kind of language is this creature speaking," Arista asked as this was her first time she was seeing Stitch, "And what is he even saying?"
Frey and Lilo were having a hard time trying to understand Stitch at the moment. "Wait what," Frey said as Stitch continued, "He's speaking Atlantean but very quickly. And he's saying..."
"They're... coming," Lilo added as she looked at Stitch in confusion, "Who's coming?"
The vehicles came to a stop as everyone looked up towards the dark storm clouds above them. As Stitch continued to speak quickly, everyone focused on what was above them. The lightning continued to flash as the sound of thunder began to grow more and more. Suddenly, a new sound filled the air... voices yelling among the sound of thunder. Then, the group saw something that made their blood run cold. Coming out of the clouds were the tips of beanstalks that were heading towards the Earth.
Everyone's eyes widened in horror as the same thought went through their mind. Those were beanstalks and the voices they were hearing were the Giants.
"We're in big trouble now," Frey said with horror in his voice, "Aren't we?"
"Big is putting it lightly," Eric replied as he reached for the controls, "Let's get out of here!"
The vehicles began to pick up speed as they drivers began to fly away from the incoming threat.
"Eric! Where are we going," Ariel cried out in concern.
"Back to the house to regroup," Eric replied, "We need the others in order to-"
"YOU WON'T ESCAPE PRINCESSES!"
Just as the group heard the loud voice, Ariel's vehicle shook violently causing Ariel to lose her seating. Ariel was now flying in the air much to her shock. Suddenly, the feeling of falling ceased when she felt a familiar set of arms around her. She looked to see Eric catch her while piloting the vehicle.
"Are you alright," Eric asked in concern for his fiancé.
"Y-Yes, I'm alright," Ariel said feeling shocked from the sudden feeling of weightlessness when she was shot out of her seat. "But what," Ariel began to ask as she and Eric looked towards the vehicle that she was just piloting only for her and the others to look in horror, "OH NO!"
There hanging on to the ship Ariel was just in was Fallon causing the ship to fall faster towards the ground with Fallon until it was suddenly out of sight of the others after entering the clouds below them.
"ARISTA! JACK! CHAMO," Ariel and Eric cried out together in horror. Just as Eric was about to fly after them, boulders were sent flying at them at high speeds. The giants still riding the beanstalk were now opening fire on Eric's group. Eric took the controls and dodged the shots as best as he could.
"Eric! We have to go after them," Ariel exclaimed in horror at what she and the others just witnessed. Ariel had just started to repair her bond with her sister and Arista was now at risk of being eaten. It felt like fate playing a sick trick on her.
"We will! But first, we have to lose these giants," Eric told her as he helped her sit behind him as the flying fish picked up speed, "But we have to get out of the giants' range of sight first."
After a few heated moments, Eric and Frey were able to ditch the giants' attack on them by getting out of range and sight of the invaders.
"Am I missing something here," Iago yelled out, "I THOUGHT WE HAD THE SEEDS!"
"Ursula wouldn't have given Fallon the seeds herself," Dax yelled back, "She's power hungry but now crazy!"
"We'll figure that out later. Right now, we have other problems," Eric said as he pointed to the beanstalks continuing to grow down towards Port Royal. Holding onto the beanstalks were the giants which made them look like insects or critters in a garden.
"It looks like the giants are going to land in the forest outside of town," Frey pointed out, "It won't take them long before they reach the city!"
"Like my sister and the others being attacked by Fallon," Ariel shouted, "We don't know where they landed!"
"Eric, what do we do mon," Sebastian asked fearful at their new situation.
Eric was silent for a moment as all eyes looked at Eric. So much was happening at once that it was enough to make a normal person snap under the pressure. But after dealing with an army of golden immortal soldiers, this was no different but with less planning time.
"Arista is with Jack and Chamo," Eric pointed out, "I'm sure they will be alright. He's kept her safe from more than one giant before. Right now, we have to stop the army of giants heading for town."
Everyone looked at Eric and saw the logic behind his words. But Ariel wasn't so sure due to her sister being in danger.
"So what do we do," Dax asked as Eric.
"Right now, we have to hold off the giants from heading into town. If it's just one giant, Jack, Arista, and Chamo might be able to steal the crown from Fallon," Eric continued as he pulled out his phone, "If the giants regroup with Fallon, we're done for. We'll hold off the giants as long as we can and hope Jack realizes the same thing. I'll call Ralph and ask him and Wall-E to meet us outside of town. Frey, call Seifer and ask him to meet us there too. We're going to need all the help we can get to hold the giants off as long as we can."
"Alright. Kida and I will meet up with you after we drop Lilo and Stitch somewhere safe," Frey said as he piloted his fish vehicle towards town.
As soon as Frey left, Eric piloted the ship towards the outside of town while pulling out his phone. "I hope Ralph can make it in time," Eric said as he was about to dial his home number. Before he could, Ariel swiped the phone from him.
"Leave calling Ralph and Wall-E to me," Ariel told him in a stern voice, "Driving and calling can leave to accidents after all."
"WHAT ABOUT US," Iago squawked in fear, "If we go towards the where the giants are, we'll be in for more than just accidents!"
"There's no time," Eric exclaimed as increased the vehicle's speed, "You'll just have to sit back and stay behind everyone."
"I CAN'T BELIEVE I TRADED BEING IN A DUNGEON FOR THIS," Iago yelled in horror.
Meanwhile
In the ship Arista, Chamo, Jack, and the sleeping Pacifica were in, she was looking in horror at what was happening as she and Jack hung on tightly to the ship's controls.
The ship continued to fall at high speeds despite it trying to fly.
"Jack! It's Fallon," Arista exclaimed in horror, "What do we do?!"
There at the tail end was Fallon who was holding the end of the ship as it fell faster as he dragged it down with him.
"JUST A MOMENT," Jack cried as the force of gravity pulled them down faster towards the ground, "WE JUST NEED TO WAIT HIM OUT!"
"There's no escape for you," Fallon roared as his second head grinned with a look of hunger on his face.
With every second, the group grew closer to the ground leaving little time for either. The two broke through the clouds and were now over the town of Port Royal.
"I HOPE THIS ISN'T YOU WAITING UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE BEFORE YOU DO WHATEVER IT IS YOU'RE GOING TO DO," Arista screamed in horror.
'Now's as good of a time as any,' Jack thought to himself. He reached over and grab Pacifica who was still asleep and bound in vines as he pulled out his staff. "This is our stop your highness," Jack told her as Chamo climbed onto his shoulder.
"YOU WANT TO JUMP," Arista yelled in shock, "ARE YOU CRAZY!?"
"That question can be discussed later," Jack answered as he hugged her waist with his free arm, "Just hang on and make sure you keep your lunch down!"
Before Arista could say anything else, Jack spun his staff in his hand causing a huge flower to sprout from the top again. The four were lifted from their seat as the sudden burst of air collecting in the flower pedals flew them into the air. Soon they were out of reach of Fallon who was still falling.
Arista felt scared was wanted to scream, but she found herself feeling safe now that she was away from Fallon but from being close to Jack again. "You couldn't have cut that a little closer," Arista asked a little annoyed at Jack's last minute save.
"Sorry, I had to wait until it was safe enough to use a parachute," Jack answered, "Especially since we're overweight thanks to our fourth passenger," he finished while looking at Pacifica in his free arm.
"HAVE A NICE TRIP FALLON," Chamo shouted, "DON'T FORGET TO WRITE!"
Fallon simply grinned as he looked up at the group. "YOU KNOW BOY," Fallon shouted back, "AS MUCH OF A PAIN IN MY ARSE THAT YOU HAVE BEEN, YOU'VE HAD SOME GREAT IDEAS!" Then, Fallon reached behind him and undid something on his back, "LIKE THIS ONE!" The moment he pulled something loose, a huge blast of cloth burst out from behind him and expanded quickly in the air. It was a dark piece of cloth with hundreds of cross stitches in it. There were even patches of fur on different places resembling animal fur. His speed decreased to the point of being able to safely land on the ground.
Jack, Chamo, and Arista's eyes were wide in shock at the sight of Fallon using a make shift parachute himself.
"Okay... Didn't see that coming," Jack admitted as the group continued to float down.
"What do we do now," Arista asked Jack with a fearful expression on her face.
Jack looked at her with a look of concern on his face as they drifted down. "We haven't lost yet," Jack told her, "Fallon made a large mistake. He's the only giant on the surface now. If we can get the crown from Fallon, we can end this war before it begins!"
"But you're almost out of pollen bombs! You said so yourself," Arista exclaimed not sure if this plan will work.
"I still have my staff and we have our imagination," Jack said, "For now, brace for impact!"
Arista looked down to see what Jack meant. Just as Fallon landed on the ground, the three of them plus the unconscious girl were now heading towards a glass dome below them. Arista clung on to Jack even more as they braced themselves. They broke through the glass as the flower pedals remained on top of the building.
As Fallon released undid the parachute, he and his second head looked around at the town they were now in. The buildings were now taller than before. Tall enough to reach his height.
"The world of man has changed a great deal," Fallon noted as he looked around, "Now where are they?"
Fallon's second head began to sniff and looked around. He then looked towards one direction and grunted to get Fallon's attention. Fallon looked in that direction and saw what the flower head on top of a building. Fallon smiled as he walked towards the building in question... The Harcourt Musuem.
"Nowhere left to run heirs of our jailers," Fallon said with a glare on his face, "Vengeance will be mine!"
Outside of Port Royal
At the gate outside of town, hundreds of Port Royal soldiers stood their ground with weapons ready. Standing on the walkway of the wall was Ian Mercer stood with a glare as he stared at the clearing outside the town and the forest at the other end of the clearing.
"Are you sure Lord Beckett wants us here," one of the soldiers asked Ian not sure what was going on, "I know we just cut the beanstalk down but there were no signs of anything coming down it."
Ian gave the random soldier a glare. "These are the orders from Lord Beckett," Ian told the soldier, "Plus, we have confirmations of something approaching from above the island. If you have a problem with them soldier..."
"No sir," the soldier said nervously, "I just find it strange we ordered the citizens to hide underground due to a plane crash when it looks more like we're ready for war rather support for the injured in this plane crash."
"That was just a cover story. Now be prepared," Ian told him, "We should be seeing this threat Lord Beckett informed me of right about-"
"KILL THE MAN KIND!"
"EAT THEM!"
"TAKE EVERYTHING FROM THEM!"
Bursting out of the forest were the Giants charging towards Port Royal. The home of the humans they were craving for centuries. With every step, the ground shook more and more as they ran towards the home of their favorite dish. They swung their weapons in the air ready for violence just for the sake of invoking it.
The soldiers stood there with their rifles and cannons ready for fire. But they were all scared at the sight of giant men charging towards them and yelling out things of a violent nature. Ian simply stood there maintaining his stern expression.
Just as the Giants reached the center of the clearing, two bolts of lightning shot from the sky at the Giants feet and spread across the clearing. The chard ground and burning glass formed a line with the Giants on one side and Port Royal on the other. The Giants stopped in their tracks as they stared at the line in the ground.
From out of the sky, two Atlantean vehicles zoomed down and hovered a few feet above the ground. From the vehicles, the riders jumped off the ships and stood their ground. From left to right were Ralph, Olette, Seifer, Ariel, Eric, Frey, Kida, and Wall-E. The teens were in their battle gear with their backs against the Port Royal as they stared at the Giants who looked ready for battle. Abord the ships were Lilo and Stitch in one and the sidekicks and Gooseling in the second. Frey attempted to leave Lilo and Stitch behind when he went to pick up Seifer and Olette, but his cousin and her best friend snuck back by riding the tail end of the vehicle.
"There has got to be a way to make Lilo listen to reason," Frey said in a deadpanned expression.
"We'll just have to protect her while fighting the giants," Kida told him in a supportive tone as Frey just sighed in defeat.
"From an army of golden mechanical soldiers to an army of immortal giants," Olette commented as she stared at the sight before them, "It's never a dull moment for this group," she said while grinning at Ariel "is it?"
"I can't argue with that," Ariel mentioned but she still looked distracted as she wanted to look for Arista. She then felt a hand on her shoulder giving her support. It was Eric who gave her a warm smile.
"Arista will be okay," Eric told her, "If Jack is a Wielder of Destiny like us, then she'll be in good hands."
Ariel smiled from Eric's words of support. She could feel Eric's love and support for her and she trusted him.
"So just to be clear, these guys are immortal," Ralph asked nervously as he felt as though they were in trouble, "And they eat people?"
"I'm afraid so big guy," Eric answered, "But they aren't too bright and some are afraid of water."
"We just have to hope that Jack and Arista can get the crown and end it," Ariel said, "Besides, it's like Eric said before. Numbers don't win a battle."
"There could be twice the number of these giants," Seifer said as he glared at the giants with his blade in hand, "I'm not about to let a bunch of man-eating giants destroy my town."
At the gate to Port Royal, Ian continued to stare at the sight before him.
"So it's true," Ian said under his breath. He then pulled out a loud speaker. "Attention soldiers," he getting the army's attention, "Our main focus are the Giant invaders. Support the new group if you can but don't approach them. Our main priority is defending Port Royal. Should they prove just as much of a threat, don't hesitate to treat them as an enemy as well. Am I clear?"
"Sir yes sir," the soldiers shouted back ready for fight.
Back with the Giants, they looked ready to attack but were stopped by the sight of the teens and their friends standing before them. A number of them were laughing at this.
"They think a bunch of little beans are going to stop us," Fleshlumpeater declared as he and the others laughed at it, "They really are little fools!"
"Says the ones who ran from a little water," Fumm said in an insulting tone of voice as he stepped forward, "Are you hungry my brothers!?"
"YEAH!"
"Are you ready to eat and get your revenge on the humans," Fumm yelled again.
"YEAH!"
"Then don't let these young ones hold you back," Fumm ordered as he pointed to Port Royal, "CHARGE!"
The Giants roared again as they crossed the chard line towards the teens and Port Royal ready to massacre the city.
"Stand your ground," Eric ordered as everyone got ready to fight. Eric and Frey held their blades ready for battle, Ariel and Olette prepared themselves with water bending positions, Kida held her weapons at the ready as her automatic gun pointed towards the giants, Frey held his dagger with the lamp on his waist ready to fight, Wall-E transformed his hands into blasters, and Ralph prepared to fight despite feeing uneasy about violence.
"We're dead! We're dead! We're so dead," Iago whimpered as he held the scared gooseling close to him, "Good bye Nest Egg!"
"I wish we could've left him at the house," Dax said with a dead panned expression along with Sebastian. He was sitting at the controls ready to pilot the ship.
Lilo was taking as many pictures as she could of the while Stitch sat at the controls of the other with two guns in his extra arms ready to fire.
'Jack, Arista, Chamo,' Eric thought as he was about to leap into battle, 'Good luck and stay safe. We're all counting on you.'
Next Chapter: War of Port Royal; The Battle for the Crown
Well, this took longer than I would've liked. But with my return to college and working weekends, there isn't as much time as I'd like. Still, I got this done, and hopefully will do more when I can.
So, Eric's group is forced to fight a battle they can't win while Jack's group has to get the key to ending this fight from the most battle-hardened giant of them all. Both sides are going to need all the good luck to win this fight.
For those wondering about Ian's orders. He may know not to look a gift horse in the mouth but that doesn't mean he's ready to trust what some might think are strangers. He also seems to know more than he's letting on.
Also, the parachute that Fallon used, that was a last-minute addition but I thought I'd show that Fallon was slowly learning from Jack's skills to use against him.
I originally planned for one more surprise before the fight here but I'll save that for the next one.
Hope you all enjoy the chapter and that you're all healthy and safe.
