Over the next few days, Scientia grew accustomed to her imprisonment, finding solace in the lack of crowded spaces. Not wanting the silence to make himself feel bored, Unicron chose to start a conversation with her. She would mention to him that back on Cybertron, she would often look after sparklings whenever their mothers and fathers were busy. She said that it helps prepare her maternal instincts. In return, Unicron would confide to her about his days when he explored the universe with his brother, Primus. He mentioned different worlds with creatures that Cybertronians had never seen before. The one secret he kept from her was that he would experiment with his godly abilities and test his limits.
Nevertheless, the bond between them was slowly growing. Scientia slowly began to feel warm comfort inside, having never received such company since her adolescent years. For Unicron, he reveled in the company he had received. He was afraid to admit it, but the Chaos Bringer enjoyed a genuine conversation to pause himself from his destructive acts. The friendly exchanges brought back memories of his first encounter with an entity of light. The day he experienced comfort in companionship. Was Scientia beginning to remind him of his old days? He had to find out carefully.
Scientia sat on the edge of her ship's ramp, and Unicron stayed with alertness to keep calm. Scientia was quite happy to remain inside because she was exhausted from all the days they had been out and didn't mind a day off from experimenting on the samples. Unicron, however, had a very pressing issue on his mind.
If Unicron doesn't find a champion, he may lose track of his goal to destroy his brother and the Thirteen Primes forever. Nevertheless, he felt content for the first time without thinking of a champion to choose.
Their bond slowly strengthened when Scientia politely asked him to educate her about the worlds he explored in his days with Primus. Knowing Scientia desired knowledge, he obliged her request. Using his dark powers, he displayed every one-hundred million planets, all of which he spared. Despite his title as the Chaos Bringer, he allowed them to live because they interested him, viewing the homeworlds as books.
Scientia looked up at Unicron, hoping he was telling the truth about them. As much as she started to trust him in the last few weeks, learning about many worlds was not something she trusted him to handle. She remembered exploring different parts of Cybertron for new elements, creatures, and phenomena that piqued her interest. When he first displayed them, her eyes were open to view many possibilities.
As Unicron continued his education, Scientia unconsciously took notes of the homeworlds spoken to her. She knew of every detail coming out of his mouth, but writing them down was like making herself a souvenir. She had felt content with colleagues with similar mindsets on Cybertron but never with one who knew about the universe around him.
After the Chaos Bringer finished his lecture, he noticed her taking notes on her datapad, writing down personal memoirs like an author. Impressed by her meticulousness, he complimented her on it. Hearing him commend her, Scientia turned to him in surprise. It almost scared her. She had never received approval for anything, much less a smile from her peers. She remembered days when teachers would praise Scientia for her unconscious excellency, which fueled jealousy in her colleagues. Feeling parts of her past haunt her, she turned away from the Chaos God, confusing him. Unicron never expected her reaction to embarrassment. She didn't know what to say and instead turned her gaze downwards.
Assessing her speechlessness, he realized that she never had a sense of pride in herself. When Scientia confirmed to him that she never felt normal in her community, Unicron looked at her, almost not knowing what to think. Had this femme never had confidence in her life? Unicron had a hard time wrapping his mind around the idea that such a thing could be possible. He knew that if an individual possesses a unique aspect, they should hold it with high regard. He knew it because of his title as the Chaos Bringer.
Knowing she needed comfort from eons of lack of self-worth, he offered her solace by reminding her that she was one of a kind. When Unicron said it, he called her by her name for the first time. She felt a shiver go up to her strut, hearing her name uttered in his voice. That was another first for her. Scientia never felt these emotions before. She had to admit, it felt nice. She knew deep down that all she ever desired was friendship.
