A/N: Hey guys, Welcome back to TheLife Channel. With work and school, I haven't been able to sit down and deeply analyze my story. So apologies for any mistakes. I just wanted to post something new before I'm clustered with everything else I have planned these upcoming weeks. I'm trying to slowly, but surely, post a new chapter in a timely manner, so I don't eventually leave this story and move on. I'm hoping that doesn't come eventually since this story technically starts "The Second Universe" Idea of how all my stories came to be. More to come with all that so for now, hope you enjoy this one.

Chapter 7 Our Duel to Remember

"Locked memories are a reason to keep on fighting. Fighting for a reason makes new memories that will last forever."

Kevin's POV

Who am I? Where am I? What is this glowing mark on my arm? It's a triangle, with a quarter moon inside it, and its ends pointing to the right. I'm so deep in thought that I don't hear Luna speak. "What, Luna?"

She shakes her head. "So you don't remember who you are?"

"No… What happened? How did I get here?"

"Well, you just appeared and splashed right into our pool. Me, my brother, Leo, and a mysterious guy from the facility, got you out."

"Facility?" I ask curiously. Why is that so familiar?

She nods. "Yeah. He crashed outside. Me and Leo helped him recover, but just like you, he didn't remember who he was when he woke up."

"Where is he? Maybe he knows who I am," I suggest and take a look at my arm again. The mark has disappeared.

Luna shakes her head. "He left last night. Leo helped him get his memory back with a duel." She points at the belt on the desk beside me. "Just like Mr. Amnesia man, you are also a duelist."

I raise my eyebrows curious and get my belt. I'm a duelist.

For a few seconds, she stays quiet. "Do you want to have a duel with me?" She then offers. "Maybe you'll get your memory back too."

I get off the bed and put my belt back on. "Sure, but I don't have a duel disk."

"Let me see…" Luna stands up and goes to the closest. After looking around in there, she comes back with one. "This is a very advanced duel disk. Dad always wanted to keep a spare one around for guests, so before he left, he gave us this one."She offers it to me. "It has two modes, one for guests and one for relatives."

"So dueling runs in the family, I see. But what's the difference between the two modes?" I ask her and take it.

She shrugs. "I'm not really 100% sure, to be honest." I then notice a watch on my wrist and she comments, "That's a cool-looking watch."

"Yeah... " I slowly reply as a memory flickers in my mind. Colordium… That's really familiar too.

"Let's do this then!" Luna exclaims excitedly. I smile and strap the duel disk on.

I feel a pinch and wince. "Ouch!"

"What's wrong?" Luna questions concerned.

"The duel disk just pinch me."

Then it says, "DNA reading commencing. Identification in progress. Duelist, accepted. Master mode unlocked."

"You unlocked the master mode?" Luna questions. "But how?"

"I don't know, but let's do this Luna!"

We stand by the huge pool facing each other and our duel disks ready.

"Lets duel!"

We both draw our five cards from our decks and suddenly, my left arm begins to sting. "What the-"

I pull up my sleeve to reveal that glowing blue mark on my arm again. "It's back," I say and show her. She also reveals a similar mark to mine.

"Maybe with this duel, we'll get a few answers."

I agree. "Hopefully. Can you go first?"

"Yeah, I draw." She gets another card and examines her hand. "I play the spell card 'Dian Keto the cure Master' which gives me 1000 more life points." [Luna's LP = 5000] "Then, I summon Pixie Knight in attack mode." A cute little fairy with a blue hat appears with 1300 attack points and 200 defense points. "Your turn."

I smile and draw. "Alright, then." As I examine a card, something flickers within my mind again. This card. I know this card. "I summon 'Speed Warrior'!" I gasp and my scene changes around; there is this cute green-haired girl who found my favorite card in the park. At that time, I thought I had lost my most prized possessions. "Luna, I remembered! You found my Speed Warrior that day at the park."

She smiles and nods. "Yeah, I did. I'm so happy you remembered."

Yes. This is really helping me. "I activate my Speed Warrior's effect. This turn, I can double its attack points." Speed Warrior's attack points increase to 1800. "Go, Speed Warrior. Attack her Pixie Knight with spinning-kick attack." Speed Warrior heads to her monster and hits it. Her knight shatters. [Luna's LP: 4500]

"I activate Pixie Knight's effect. It lets me recover a spell card from my graveyard and place it on top of my deck."

I nod my head. "I end my turn. Go ahead, Luna."

"Alright, then. I draw and once again, I activate Dian Keto the cure Master." [Luna's LP: 5500] "I then summon 'Gemini Elf' in attack mode." Two elf ladies, a blondie and one with orange hair appear with 1900 attack and 900 defense points. "Attack his Speed Warrior." The ladies attack Speed Warrior with a double kick and my monster shatters. [LP: 3000]

"Nice Luna!"

She smiles and I draw. This girl knows her stuff. "Now then, I discard a card to special summon 'The Tricky' in attack mode." A spellcaster with a blue cape and a question mark on its chest appears with 2000 attack and 1200 defense points. "Go, attack her elves!" The Tricky flies up to them and shines a bright yellow light. They shatter. [Luna's LP: 5400]

"I also activate 'Tricker Trickster', which allows me to tribute The Tricky since you lost life points. Once tributed, you take damage equal to its attack points." The Tricky disappears and a bright light shoots to Luna. She gets hit and suddenly, she falls on her knees. [Luna's LP: 3400] "Luna!" I go to her a bit worried, and offer her my hand. She smiles and takes it.

"I'm okay. I just get tired when I duel." She stands back up.

"Do you want to stop the duel?"

"No, it's okay. Let's continue," she softly says. "Please."

I nod and go back to my side. "Okay, your turn."

"I draw." Luna smiles and activates a spell card. "I play 'Monster Reborn' to bring back Pixie Knight in attack mode." Her fairy knight appears once again. "Go, attack him directly." The little fairy slices me and I smile. [Kevin's LP: 1700] "I end with a facedown card."

"My turn, then. I draw." I smile and activate the same card as her. "Monster Reborn; to bring back The Tricky." My spellcaster appears back on my field. "Go. attack her knight!"

My monster prepares to strike, but Luna says, "I activate my monster's effect from my hand; 'Honest'." A man with big white wings takes flight and covers her knight with his wings. "This creature increases my knight's attack." The Tricky strikes but is pulled back with a bright light.

"I also play my facedown spell, Rush Recklessly, which also increases my knight's attack. Go, counterattack, and end this duel!"

The Tricky shatters into triangular pieces and my life points decrease to 0.

Winner: Luna

"Woah!" I exclaim.

"That's how it's done!" She exclaims. Suddenly a memory flickers in my mind. I remembered us dueling in the "Kid's Pizza and Duels Shop". She beat me and she celebrated by saying, "That's how it's done, Kevin." We had so much fun that she had completely forgotten that she had lost her dad. I finally remember who I am.

"My name is Kevin," I tell her. "We were at the airport and you got lost. But my dad and I helped you. So we had a fun duel and you beat me."

"You remembered!" She exclaims and goes to me. She gives me a soft hug. "You finally remembered, Kevin. Do you remember anything else?"

Unfortunately, nope. But something tells me that this friendship with this girl is very important, and if I want some answers, I should probably stick around with her. I shake my head. "No… Just that."

"Maybe, you need time for everything to come back," she softly says, a bit sad.

"True." I look over the horizon and notice the sun setting. "It's afternoon already. Wow."

"Yeah, we should probably get something to eat. You must be starving."

"Now that you mentioned it." I chuckle. "I am."

She smiles. "We can order room service. Come on." Luna heads inside. I smile, a bit uneasy for what's to come. With those mysterious marks we have, things are sure to be interesting.

"Kevin, you coming?" She asks behind me.

I look at her and smile. I will protect you, Luna. "Yeah, I am."

"What's this?" I ask, going to a shelf in the living room. There's a picture of a turbo duelist by a very cool-looking motorcycle. There's a red dragon above him. Besides the picture is an envelope. I grab it and Luna answers from the couch.

"It's an invitation to The Fortune Cup. I was invited to participate."

"Oh, so are you?" I ask, reading the invitation.

Luna shakes her head. "No, Leo is going to take my place."

I raise my eyebrows. "Can he?"

"Well… I mean we're twins and he could possibly look like me with my clothes and a bit of makeup, I guess."

I laugh. "Well, that's something worth looking at."

She smiles. "Yup. Leo's going to love it so might as well give him an opportunity."

I look at the picture again. "Who's this?"

"That's Jack Atlas, King of the Turbo Duels, and, of course, Leo's Idol."

"Whoever beats the rest of the duelists, will get the chance to duel against the King himself," I say.

She nods. "Exactly."

There's a knock on the door. "Room service."

"Oh, food is here!" Luna rushes to the door and an old lady hands her a tray with very delicious-looking sandwiches and pudding cups on it.

"There you go, Luna. Need anything else?" A very pretty lady with blue hair asks.

"No, Rachael, thank you."

She nods and leaves. I put the envelope back on the shelf and we both sit on the couch. "Dig in Kevin."

I smile, grabbing a sandwich, and we begin eating. We eat in silence for the most part, but to be honest, it's a comforting silence. There are a few times where we meet eye to eye, and when we do, we both end up laughing.

"Luna!" A young boy with a green ponytail comes running to us. He must be Leo. "You won't believe who we saw; The Black Rose Witch! But, that's not all. Dexter and I also found Mr. Amnesia man. We were hanging out with him when she just appeared! She made her dragon appear and she almost destroyed the Dueling Arena! She does have powers!" He exclaims rambling on. "You should have been there." He then notices me. "You finally woke up."

I smile. "Yeah, hello. I'm Kevin."

"He didn't remember his name, and I helped him remember with a fun duel," Luna tells her brother.

"She didn't need to," I point out, remember how she gets tired after a duel. "But thanks to her though, I have a few memories now."

"You also had amnesia?!" Leo questions. "What if we duel Kevin. I'll help you remember who you are."

I yawn.

"No, Leo. He needs to rest." Luna interrupts. "Plus, you should recheck your cards and get ready for tomorrow."

"Alright, but soon, we'll have a fun duel."

I smile. "Deal."

In the place of unrest, an evil force, sitting on his throne laughs about the so-called resistance. "That warrior thinks he can overcome me and my forces. Ha!"

"Sir…" The Servant slowly interrupts him. "There is a rumor of another human possessing the power to protect those weaklings in the kingdom."

"Hmmm, what's the status of Zeman's progress?" The Evil King asks.

"He has his monkeys turning the spirits into stone rocks, but that Lion keeps interfering and progress has been really slow."

A red staff appears on the Evil King's hand and he angrily taps it on the ground. A scene of Zeman the Ape King appears. "Lord…"

"That Lion needs to be tamed!" He interrupts.

"The effects don't work on him. I'm going for a different method."

"Do it quickly, Zeman. Time is approaching where that child is going to come to take you down."

"Ludacris!" The ape exclaims. "No one can defeat me and-"

"Don't underestimate the humans," The Evil King reminds him. "Things are going to get much more annoying with another human coming to challenge my authority."

"Another human? I will get to work then. My minions are currently tracking down the magician. With the dragon sealed and the lion not much of a threat soon; we'll have control of both kingdoms."

The Evil King nods satisfied and Zeman's face vanishes.

Who is this "other" human? The Evil King wonders.

The human is no threat to me. A dark voice speaks raising The Evil King's attention.

"Who is there? Show yourself, intruder!"

"Sir?" His servant asks confused and now alerted.

I am Black. Eternal Darkness. I can help you break the balance between worlds.

Black fog appears around the Evil King. "Sir!" His servant begins to head towards his king.

I can give you unlimited power. He holds out his staff at his servant and he stops. The Evil King is engulfed by the black fog and from it, his new form emerges. Now, sitting on the throne, is a red-eyes king, with glowing red-line skin, and a dark black cloak. His red staff shines a bright red light.

"Sir…" His servant carefully calls.

"I. Am. Chaos."
