"School!"
Mikey did an over dramatic faint deeper into the couch he was sitting on, "Say its not so," He said pained.
"A very interesting idea Mrs. O'Neal," Splinter say as he rubbed his chin fur lightly as he considered it.
"No! Not an interesting idea, a bad idea, a very bad idea," Mikey told Splinter as he quickly sat up then looked at April, "Shame," he hissed at her as he shook his head in disappointment.
"I do believe Mrs. O'Neal has made her point Michelangelo, you boys will go to school," Splinter stated, deciding this would be the best course of action for the time being.
"But-," Raphael started but was interrupted by his father.
"No, buts Raphael, now I do believe you will need backgrounds and identification," Splinter asked as he looked to Donatello and April, knowing they were the ones that could handle that situation.
"Geeze thanks for turning us humans Donnie, now we have to learn stuff," Mikey pouted as he dropped back on the couch, no longer extremely excited about the whole thing.
Donnie sadly looked to the ground hearing his younger brother's excitement die, the last thing he wanted to do was upset his family. He made his way to his lab with April as he brushed his hair back, he needed to fix this.
"Master Splinter, is school really a good idea?" Leo asks Splinter and he sat on his knees beside him, hoping he could explain his better to him.
"My son, we have no idea how long you will be stuck in this form and if it is irreversible, I want you and your brothers to be educated with the knowledge of the human world," Splinter told his oldest as he placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Yes, sensei," Leo said as he bowed respectfully, he could see where his father was coming from but he really did not plan on staying like this.
Raph gave a small growl as he listened in on his father and elder brothers conversation, feeling frustrated he seemed necessary they were planning for the worse case. He wasn't staying like this and if they started to plan out a longer stay they might give up on fixing everything.
"What's wrong bro," Casey asked as he nudged his friends shoulder with his.
"He said they want to make sure he have a backup plan if we stay like this, I don't want to stay like this!" Raph told Casey upset, "and Leo is just going along with it cause he is sooo prefect," Raph mumbled as he pushed Casey back, that wasn't what was really making him mad, but his was going to direct his frustration onto his older brother until he found something else to do with it. He just wished his older brother would disagree with their sensi once in his life, he couldn't possibly always agree right!? Raph barely ever did.
"Nobody's prefect man," Casey said as he tried to calm the red head down, "And being human aint so bad, hell I have been one my whole life," Casey teased him.
"That's what I told him!" Raph agreed as he threw his hands up before starting to rant about this downside of humans as Casey sighed and buckled up for the ride, it was gonna be a long one.
Mikey was jumping up and down on the couch on when Kluck walked up to him and meowed curiously at him.
"Hey Kluck!" Mikey greeted as he fell to his kness and picked Kluck up, "Did you see what happen? Were human now," Mikey told his cat smugly as he snuggled his purring cat. The cat seemed to not be fazed by the transformation and accepted the affection he was given.
An hour later or so later, Donnie and April emerged from the lab, "Okay guys we have the birth certificates," Donnie informed, "Leo your birthday is February, 4, 1996, Raph your birthday is March, 24, 1996, mine is June, 8, 1996 and Mikey yours is October, 16, 1996 so were all sixteen, but Mikey who is fifteen," Donnie finished, those were the birthdays Splinter had given them a long time ago, "Since I could not put Master Splinter as are parent-," Donnie continued before looking at Raph when he was cut off.
"Why!" Raph demanded as he glared at Donnie, wanting to be mad at him for everything.
"If you did not notice Raph, he cant really meet our teachers or take us to get our shots or any human thing," Donnie said as he gave his brother a slightly annoyed look.
"Wait we have to get shots!" Mikey said in horror as he gripped his hair, the one thing he could not handle was shots.
"We cant attend school if we do not have a certain amount of shot, plus I think it will be beneficial," Donnie informed them, they should take this chance to get them before they lose it.
"Well we do not have parents so no school and no shots, to bad," Mikey said happily as he crossed his arms behind his head and leaned back.
"Well actually, I adopted you!" April said happily as she clapped her hands together and smiled at them. She did not hesitate to offer when her and Donatello were coming up with a plan. She already felt like their guardian after all, minus well make if official.
"So you're our mom," Leo said questioned and he tilted his head, debating on how he felt about all this.
"So we have to get shots," Mikey said disappointed and horrified, definitely not liking how the tides were turning for him, now he wished Leo and Raph got their way and we could keep living here like normal.
"Afraid so Mike," Don said placing a comforting hand on Mikey shoulder, knowing the youngest hated them and wanting to offer some comfort.
"What grade our we in Donnie?" Leo asked as he left his head and rejoined the conversation.
"Were Sophomores sooo the tenth grade," Donnie confirmed as he looked though the paper work to double check his information.
"Good thing were not freshmen, they always have someone annoying the fuck out of them," Raph said pleased about something. From what his seen on TV they shouldn't be bothered too much as sophmores.
"I think we should go shopping now, while were still in the city," April added," then we can pack and leave tomorrow," she told them.
"Yeah we can get out of these baggy clothes," Mikey said pulling at his clothes, they were much bigger now than they were when they had to fit a shell in them.
"Okay I got a little over $300 dollars I can spare," April said checking her wallet.
"We cannot take you money April," Leo said shaking his head.
"Come on Leo, you need all the help you can get, plus Donnie can pitch in too, he should have some money, right Don?" April said as she looked to her friend, knowing he was the one who kept a hold of all the money they found or earned.
"I believe we have about $200 saved up," Donnie said thinking back to their emergency funds, this would be considered an emergency he decided.
"Great that's $500 dollars," April chirped happily, "If were smart that should be enough," She told them.
"Okay, but all the money left over is yours," Leo agreed before looking at Mikey, "Right Mikey," he warned his younger brother, not wanting him to go while and spend all the cash.
"Yeah I got it," Mikey pouted as he pushed his dreams away on what he would spend the cash on with a small wave.
"Great let's go shopping!" April said pleased.
