Chapter 26

Leo parked the van in the upper garage before taking the lift down. The truck was already here so he was sure his master and his friends were here safely. The eldest brother walked in and did not look up here April gasp.

"Leo!? Where are the others?" She asked as he ignored her, too upset and frustrated at his own failure to talk right now.

He shouldn't have left! What was he thinking! But he wasn't strong enough as a human, Donnie was right about that, they had more protection as turtles as well.

"My son…where are your brothers?" Master Splinter asked in a soft voice, seeing his sons distress. Leo gritted his teeth.

"I failed Master..they were captured, a-and I ran..I shouldn't have! I am a coward!" He cried out as he kneeled in front of Splinter and held his arm over his face, "D-Donnie wanted Leatherhead to have this..for the cure," he told his master as he took the bag off.

"Leonardo, sometimes retreating is the best course of action…we will get your brothers back at all cost," Splinter assured him in a determined tone, anger at their captors in his eyes and sadness at the loss of his sons, "A coward would not be so willing to go back into battle as I can tell you are," He soothed his eldest son as he ran a paw threw this son brown hair.

"Yes Master..I will not stop fighting until we have them home again," Leo said now determined as he clinched his fist, Bishop and Karai will pay if they had hurt any of his brothers.

April slowly came over and touched Leo's shoulder, "We will get them Leo..I will take this to Leatherhead, his in the lab," She told Leo as she grabbed the bag and headed towards the lab, she wasn't going to stop until her friends were back to their old selves and safe again.

"Master Shredder!" Karai called as she dragged Donatello into Shredder top floor office as he groaned from the chemicals he was forced to breath in and the violent trip here.

"Karai," Shredder greeted, not in his armor, but in his human cover. He stood up before walking around to the lower floor.

"Father," Karai said as she bowed, "Bishops men were very skilled and have amazing technology, they are worthy allies," She told him respectfully before standing up again and tossing Donatello in front of her adoptive father's feet, "He has done as you asked, the turtle Leonardo," She said.

Shredder hummed, "Yes, too bad his life work is against aliens, once we take down the turtles he is our next target when he has no more use," he said in a calm tone. He looked at the human male at his feet before growling softly, "Where is the rat? He was part of the deal," he asked annoyed.

"I am sorry my master, it was my own foolishness and lack a skill that let him get away," Karai told him before holding back a gasp as she was slapped then looked down, "Bishop has a lead on where they will be," She told him as her cheek throbbed, but she blocked it out.

"No matter…without the turtles the rat will be easy to take down, but I want his death at MY hands," Shredder growled at his daughter before looking at the human who seemed like they were more awake now, "Leave us," He told Karai, not wanting Leonardo begging her for his life, then again that might be nice, but he wanted the turtle to grovel at his feet. Shredder tore the bag off the boys head once they were alone with a few guards before grinning, "I have waited for so long to end your turtle," he told the boy darkly before going to his desk and slipping his hand into his clawed weapon, "You and your brothers have stood in my way for the last time," he continued as he walked back to Donatello and gripped his shaggy hair.

"Goodbye Leonardo," Shredder growled evilly as he raised his clawed hand up, ready to end his long-time enemy's life.

"Donatello," The purple banded brother said slightly annoyed, if he was going to kill me he should at least get my name right..he thought as he watched him with a glare.

"What?" Shredder asked as his face fell before quickly as he stood, "Karai!" he yelled in anger as the door swung open and Karai ran back in gripping her sword, "You said this was Leonardo!" He said frustrated and looking pissed.

Karai gasp slightly before going around to Shredders side to get a look at the turtle's face, "I thought it was master! I only saw fighting and then they were already tied up when Bishop had them ready for transport," She explained to him before looking down and touching her lips, she kissed Donatello! Ugh! That pervert!

Donatello looked between them surprised as he slowly relaxed, they thought I was Leo? Then his brother probably got away! What idiots! Did this mean he wasn't dying? Phew…

Shredder punched the wall as he growled before kicking and solider to the ground, "Get me Bishop! I want Leonardo!" He demanded before kicking Donatello in the chin, causing him to fly back and hit the ground, "Don't be so relieved turtle, a much worse fate awaits you," he growled as Karai ordered the soldiers to grab the mistaken turtle and bring him with them.
