Chapter 36- Rabbit on the Run

—-Now I realized people reading this fanfic must know the story summary of Krazy Kat. For anyone reading this, if they don't want to read the comics or watch the unwanted cartoons of Krazy Kat.
So only if you've already read partly the comic Krazy Kat you can pass this summary and start on Oswalds Point of this story. But I advise you Not to do that, Since YOU Need, to know, more about Krazy Kat! Otherwise we cannot proceed with the rest of the fanfic! Cause I plan on Krazy Kat playing Crucial role in this fanfic! Especially in helping Oswald! So I cant type down Oswalds full escape, unless Krazy Kat's and Ignatz life as a old cartoon and old comic is explained!
But considering Krazy Kat was forgotten long before Oswald or Felix. It took me a long time to find any information on Krazy Kat. Remember Krazy Kat was never popular to begin with but it lasted for a very long time? We have hard time knowing how this happened? I myself have not finished reading all the Krazy Kat newspaper comics. But I plan to someday. Only it is harder to find the earlier Krazy Kat newspaper comics because there so old. Happily Krazy Kat has been reprinted into comics books. Only there so expensive. I would lose house and home to buy.
~(Felix newspaper comics are not so lucky as the Krazy Kat comic's. As of now There is no way to have a reprint of all the Felix newspaper comics! SO as of now of the newspaper comics of Felix the cat are like little gold nugget's. You take what you can get. Now there is some Felix comics reprints but there only some of them reprinted and not all of them.)
But even Felix Benefitted from ' Krazy Kat ' and it's Whimsical comics! So why don't people know why Krazy Kat is so important to all Cartoon's!? Cause If we don't know, why? That is because Krazy Kat was not as popular as it could of been.
And There are people who want to hide the History of Krazy Kat just as much they want to hide the History of Felix. So has many cartoons have become lost media. Basically Krazy Kat is like supposed to be the father of the style of rubber hose style. Krazy Kat has inspired so much Animators, comics, and artist's alike!
The Krazy Kat comic was made by the Late George Herriman!
Let me take you to a time When the silent films of Felix 1919, Oswald 1927, and Out of the Inkwell Koko the clown 1918, where being made, Krazy Kat film's was being made right along side them! The first Krazy Kat Comic was made in 1913 and lasted till year 1944! And the first Krazy Kat cartoon silent film was made in year 1916! That film is now lost forever! That is I haven't been able to find it!? You know what that means?
Yes!
Krazy Kat is older then Felix! That means Felix is not first classic Toon some historians are lead to believe! But that Doesn't mean Krazy Kat was popular! Nope, Felix the cat was and still is the first silent Film Star!
Not Krazy Kat!
Felix took the stage over Krazy Kat! This is sad, but it happens even today where a show takes over the old spotlight. Only Felix is still important in film animation though. As Krazy Kat in Important in the history of comics and Cartoons. Only In the beginning of Felix's career fans thought Felix was Krazy Kat! So Fans where confused? Though Ive already explained Felix in many of my other chapter's. But now we must learn of the first lost important Toon of History!
In the History of Films, Krazy Kat made up to 231 cartoon films!

Only like most films of that era most of them are lost and gone forever! :'(

Now I once read somewhere Picasso was a fan of the new's paper comic of Krazy Kat!
Now Even Walt Disney was Inspired by this comic we know this from a fact by Walt Disney's sympathy Letter he wrote after the artist died. even the creator of Felix (year 1919) Otto Messmer was inspired by Krazy Kat. Even the director of the Power puff girls "crag mickraciken" loved Krazy Kat.
Now onto one the big reasons why don't the public want us to know about Krazy Kat?
One back then poor George Herriman had to hide that he was a Mixed Race had had to hide this fact from his comic coworker's. George Herriman would lie and say his skin was a Tan. Or Herriman would lose his job! Herriman put hidden meanings in his work about his dislike of the white's hate angst the black's! All over the world people read his comics and many people couldn't understand Herriman's hidden meaning's in his comics!
So in the story (the black person) Krazy Kat who is both a 'man and girl.' Krazy is in love with a small 'guy' Mouse named Ignatz (with Circles for ears, and is a White mouse). Ignatz the Mouse who doesn't Except Krazy's love. Ignatz throws a brick at Krazy. Why? cause Ignatz is mad at Krazy's simple minded ways. and Ignatz thinks Krazy is dumb. But the brick to the head, never hurts Krazy! Krazy Kat Think's the Brick is a sign of Love a affection! And for a long time Ignatz is to stupid to realize the brick does't hurt Krazy at all! and that Krazy like's to get hit in the head! Then Officer Bull Pup comes in later to stop Ignatz from hitting Krazy with a brick! Officer Bull Pup will throw Ignatz in jail. Only for Ignatz to escape from jail. Latter we get a love triangle, since Officer Bull Pup falls in Love with Krazy Kat. Later Krazy helps Ignatz get out of jail sometimes. Latter Ignatz gets a smarter and learns Krazy likes to be hit with the brick but still continues to hit Krazy with the brick cause now Ignatz knows Krazy likes to hit with a brick. all so while Ignatz says he hates Krazy, Ignatz also says Krazy is his best friend?! Ignatz will even cry if he thinks Krazy is dead. They even call there get together talks dates!? Ignatz is married yet his wife wants Ignatz to be nicer to Krazy. Also there there adventures, to find the moon and chasing the Stork Bird who delivers baby's. Krazy was to be the first to congratulate a young couple on them bringing a child into the world. Stork Bird living on the giant Masa in the middle of the Dessert. The Dog master of the brick yard where Ignatz buys his bricks, and the gossip Duck.
Honestly this storyline feels sort of like a Looney Tunes cartoon? only it was made over a hundred years ago! O.o Krazy Kat as of now is 108 years old!
But the biggest Problem is Krazy Kat had was there gender, Krazy changes from a Boy to a girl. The public didn't like the idea of Krazy being gay and in love with a man.
So in way Krazy Kat is like Looney Tune's cartoon like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.
Or Pepe le pew.
Looney Tune's makes me think of the crazy Love, Krazy Kat feel for his little Angle, Ignatz. And Officer Bull Pup coming to brake it up all the crazy.
and how similar there relationship is to a Looney Tune.

Now a friend of mine pointed out 'George Herriman artist' his signature writing style was copied by Walt Disney! That is looked to similar to be coincidence!
But theres even more! So I Even accidentally found proof Walt Disney was a fan of these Krazy Kat Comics! Walt Disney wrote a Sympathy letter to the daughter of the comic artist! After George Herriman died! Walt made his entire animation staff morn for the loss of a great artist the such of George Herriman. For those of you who cant read the photo of the Sympathy letter Walt Disney Wrote. I am rewriting it so you can read for yourself. And that you know how much Walt Disney loved an was inspired by George Herriman's comic Krazy Kat

Oswald's Prov:
Just in the nick of Time Oswald and Ignatz the mouse ended up in ToonTown in a Telephone-both.
After them traveling threw the Telephone wire's.
Oswald couldn't see outside the fogey window's of the Telephone-both.
Oswald, had no idea how much ToonTown had changed over the years.
Oswald, was nervous how much everything had changed?
Felix was the one who showed Oswald where to go in the Town back then, Now Felix guidance wasn't there?
No, there was no time to Think!
Only time to act!
Time was of the essence!
Woody the Woodpecker could come to ToonTown at any moment!
So Oswald hadn't had time to think for himself yet!
Oswald opened the Telephone-both door to see what the outside looked like.
He couldn't see anything into Foggy Night!
Only, Oswald had forgotten he wasn't alone?!
Ignatz the small Mouse was still on top of Oswalds head?!
The small mouse had grabbed Oswalds long ears before Oswald was sucked inside the Telephone cord!
Ignatz, spoke in annoyed sassy tone, startling Oswald who didn't know the small mouse had followed him?
" Look Alive Rabbit where not out of the woods yet! That Woodpecker of yours might be hot behind our trail! I Figured that out that Woodpecker seemed to suspicious to follow me and Krazy in the studio. We have to go on the run fast! "
As Oswald opened the door to the Telephone-both, Oswald huffed angrily.
" What does it look like im doing?! Hold Tight to my ears! "
With only a little warning Oswald gave Ignatz, Oswald sprinted fast into the night!
" That Woodpecker was never mine! He's the jerk who trapped me! "
Oswald panted out of breath as he Ran like Jack Rabbit into Fog, not knowing where he was going?
After a while Oswald started to go to slow jog.
Rabbits are fast, and Oswald figured, He had put much distance between Woody and Him!
Only now to Oswalds horror, Oswald had no clue where he was? But he needed to catch his breath. now Oswald now out of breath started to fast walk in the dark damp foggy street. Oswald couldn't see much since there was to much fog making it hard to see what was around him.
Only the dimly lit lamp post light barely lit the night. It was lit with real fire, yep remember this chapter takes place in the past.
Ignatz answered in condescending tone he was mad he had to hold on to a running Rabbit who seemed not to know where he was going?!
"Do you have any idea where your going Rabbit? You running right back to where we started where going in circles! "
Now a annoyed rabbit responded. " Well you have to lead the way! I have know idea where to go! It's been years since Ive last been to this Town! And it's much bigger then I last remember ."
Being smarty pants the mouse mocked back.
" This place is called ToonTown now! And I happen to know this place like the back of my right hand! Im a expert! "
" Ok where to? "
" Where going to the Desert part of ToonTown. Good place to hide out since Ive always lived in the desert. And Looks like your rooming with us till you get your own place! "
" But Wouldn't Woody try to go there first? "
" Not if We don't get there first! I can hide you inside our house, And I can lie yell at that bird that he woke me up! Get that Bird to get off my property and scram! Even that Woody bird hates my temper! "
Ignatz, said that like having a temper was something to proud of?! Oswald was in shock Woody was scared of Ignatz?!
" Good plan Ignatz! Im Impressed Woody is scared of you! "
Best to butter up the crazy mouse thought Oswald.
" As should you Rabbit! Every fears the Great Ignatz's!
Now listen to my directions Rabbit! Ignatz grabs Oswald ear and states his Direction's.
Take a Right,
Then a Left,
then go down a block,
till you get to the fork in the road,
then go straight,
Keep on walking or running for a few miles.
till you get to weird looking house that looks like mud sand dome Igloo.
But its really called a Adobe house. "

And Oswald was off!
with Ignatz on Oswalds head yelling in Oswald ear direction's at Oswald.
Ignatz was telling Oswald was going the wrong way many times.
Oswald walked for hour's first in town that later turned into desert sand.
Oswald not knowing where really going?

Oswald was nervous to say anything to Ignatz that they might be lost.
Only another question was on Oswalds mind one much bigger.
So after hours of silence Oswald said something.
" Where are we going Mr. Ignatz? "
Oswald already knew Ignatz name from the newspaper comic's and silent films.
" Where Else! To the Town of Coconino ! "
Oswald gasp he was going to the rumored Magical Town of Coconino, the same Town Krazy Kat and Ignatz are from!
" Im a Outsider Mr. Ignatz there's no way I can get inside to the Magical Town of Coconino! "
Ignatz huffed.
" Your not going inside Town of Coconino your going to be in a house on the outskirts of the County and Town of Coconino! Right where the line of Toon Town ends and go's into Coconino. Town Toon is a fairly new Town. You might not know it but heres a secret not just Gertie The Dinosaur and Nemo helps make ToonTown. "
Startled Oswald replied in shock.
"Felix never Told me you and Krazy helped make ToonTown! "
Ignatz grumbled.
" Yes we helped them a little bit! Coconino Town's magic helped make ToonTown!
At first I wouldn't let Krazy Kat help Felix with his crazy idea to give Toons a place to be free from there Animator's. But after all Krazy had endure's with that director Charles Mintz! I did everything in my power to help Krazy make that Town for Toon's. But I would NOT let Krazy sign that Koko Clown's Magical Binding Document, Stating that we where founder's of ToonTown! I don't want anyone taking anything else form us! We already lost so much! "
Oswald slumped " You mean Koko the clown right? "
" You know that clown Rabbit? Your not his friend Rabbit? Cause if you are your my enemy! "
" I only met Koko a few time's but, sadly yes. Koko Tricked me into signing this Document I never got to the chance to read it or learn what it is? Felix got really mad at him for it? Is this bad Ignatz? What's going to happen to me? "
Ignatz face was turning Red! Only for Ignatz to Roar in Fury!
" That CLOWN DID what?! Is it True? He forced you into a Contract without you knowing what it was?! "
" Ye…es. Yes… " Oswald was scared Ignatz sounded really mad.
" And where was that cat, Felix?! I heard a Rumor he and you were hanging out together during to opening of ToonTown! "
" Felix and me separated for a bit, Then I met Koko. "
" Let me guess, Koko forced you into a contract! "
Oswald sounded sad.
" Yes. He grabbed hard on my ears and wouldn't let me go! I tried to used my magic to separate my ear's but I couldn't'! Felix found us after I just finished signing the Document. Felix kept on Yelling at Koko for some reason. Koko clamed I saw to much, and that I would tell everyone what I saw. Your the only one I've told this since that day. "
" Im going to have to have a talking with that clown! And that Cat Felix! Krazy Kat will be mad at them as well! The entire town of Coconino will be mad! "
" Please don't I don't want to get into trouble! "
"Your not in trouble Oswald! That Clown and Cat is! That Clown forced a Innocent young Toon into a Life Binding Magical Document! that will follow you your entire Toon Life! That Cat was supposed to protect you from that! Now, Not just your Body and Heart, but your Soul will be Bound to the Toons of ToonTown! If something bad where to happen to ToonTown you could disappear! Or worse you'll be so bound so much to ToonTown you could live for Centuries! This would only be good if Your Become a Big Star though! Worse, If you lose your Heart and Fame then you might be forced into limbo of TownToon! You could be Trapped forever in darkness underneath Toon Town with Gertie the Dinosaur and Nemo who sleep's forever under ToonTown! "
" What can done?! Im already feeling Forgotten! My fans dwindle by the day! I don't want to disappear into the ground! "
Sobbed Oswald as big fat Tears filled down his face.
" Don't panic, We have to get word to Krazy Kat to met up with us fast! Krazy Kat will know someone who could help us! Stop complaining! We shouldn't have been talking out in open anyway. Be quiet Stop talking! "
Under the tear's and snot falling down Oswald face, Oswald sob'ed. They where out in middle of the sandy Desert with Cactus.
" Why? There's nobody here but us? "
" You never know who might be listening Rabbit! Keep following the road, look where almost there! See the safe House! "
There is was a lone Adobe sand House in the middle of the Desert.
Oswald ran to house opened the hard to open wood door into house it looked like it hadn't been lived in a while. There seemed to be things laying on the floor? But it was to dark to make out? Oswald was so exhausted though. Ignatz had hopped off of Oswalds head.
" There's army cot bed to the right of you, It has a blanket get some sleep ok? "
Without even word of a thanks Oswald fell on the cot bed grabbed the blanket to cover himself and was out asleep like a light.
