Chapter 38- Don't let the Cat out of the Bag

Intro:

Long before disaster struck of the Thinner Disaster before Wasteland was called Wasteland.

Before Oswald officially met Mickey.

And Before Mickey saved Wasteland from the Phantom Ink Blot.

The Kingdom at one point was called 'OsTown' before it became a 'Wasteland'.

This chapter is how Oswald did meet Felix again, but only for short period before the Thinner Disaster struck!

Almost like Felix the Cat was Bringer of Bad Luck with him being a Black Cat.

Felix has been known to bring bad Luck in both the silent films and sound cartoon's.

This happened before the Thinner Disaster before Mickey entered Wasteland.

For awhile Oswald tried to finally forgive Felix!

For Felix's intoxication problems.

Only for the forgiveness, to be for nothing.

Only for another misunderstanding, that would last for years to come!

A misunderstanding Even Bigger!

That lead Felix to become the first Toon to be Banished from Wasteland!

It was ether that or the entire forgotten Toons locking up Felix forever!

Till even all the forgotten Toon's Forgot Felix ever even being in Wasteland!

Even Oswald forgot Felix even came to Wasteland!

This is a chapter of what happen that fateful four Weeks before the Thinner Disaster.

When Felix visited Wasteland and the events that lead Felix to being Exiled from Waseland.

Post three weeks before Thinner Disaster:

Oswald and Ortensia Prov:

Oswald and Ortensia where shopping in a old fashioned Grocery store.

(If you've ever been to one of those old fashioned Grocery store's there amazing! They have big wooden baskets full of fruits and vegetables. And canned food lined up on walls)

Even if Oswald and Ortensia ruled Ostown as King and Queen, Both lived still humble lives.

They didn't even stay in Castle all the time. Only used the castle as a place for party's and they sometimes stayed there to entertain new permeant residents of Ostown, or Oswald would stay on the throne chair and Toons would line up in line and ask Oswald for help in there everyday lives. Oswald also used the Castle as a workshop where Oswald would make project's like the robots he made or statue he made.

But there family mostly lived in a small house in OsTown.

And Oswald and Ortensia still went shopping together with the money they earned by helping the Town to be a better place.

The Town folk thought Oswald was a Lovable, but still trouble maker and full of himself, but still a nice King who cared for the Toon People (and they never say it to Oswalds face, but Oswald was very small and cute) but the Town folk was happy when there queen Ortensia talked some sense into her crazy husband.

Shopping It was one of Oswald and Ortensia's bonding time's together.

And they still went on date's together like they where still dating.

All in all they had a happy Marriage.

And yes Marriage wasn't a basket of roses there where still bumps in the road of arguments they had.

Like Oswald still had his crazy schemes to get out of Wasteland or make himself popular with the human's.

And Ortensia did her best to make her Husband forget about Mickey or Felix or Oswalds past with Woody woodpecker and even Oswalds father's like Walt Disney or Ub Iwerks. Only, Ortensia could understand why Oswald didn't like Mickey since he stole the spotlight. But Ortensia didn't know why Oswald was mad at Felix? But Ortensia just wanted her Honey Bunny to know he was loved even if he's been hurt in the past.

So they still loved each other very deeply even after all the years marriage.

So In this scene from the past the start of there first big argument in there marriage.

Both came walking out of a Grocery store.

Oswald was holding ton's of Bags full of Carrots nearly dropping them onto the ground.

Ortensia holding some bags herself with one arm free to hold a list, Ortensia looking at a list of grocery's says "So thats all the grocery's for today, these Carrots and fish should last a while."

"Wait who's watching the kids while we shop!?"

Huffed Oswald, who almost dropped the grocery's!

Ortensia waved her hand, "Don't worry I got a babysitter. I always get one! "

while still looking at her list like, This was a after thought.

"Oh Good…Wait who? It's not Peg leg Pete or Gus?! Their bad at taking care of the kids! Oh Wait Please don't tell me you didn't get the Mad Doctor to watch them. The Doctor hate's it when the Bunny Kids ruin hi lab experiments! "

"No none of the sort! I learned from my mistakes! The trick is to make it a play date not just about the Babysitter!"

"Play Date?"

"The Babysitter is a Parent, so they bring there kids over to play with ours, so our Bunny kids get new friends to play with! the kids are around the Bunny Kids age. And The Bunny kids simply love there new friends! There all old cartoon kids just like them! and the kids have a lot in common with each other! It's just the cutest thing ever! "

Ortensia was so happy at her ingenious idea! Well it wasn't her idea the kids found each other and hit it off so well! Now Ortensia knew her kids where happy playing with there new friends! Ortensia knew how much her kids wanted friends to play with around there age.

"That's nice in all, But yah you didn't answer my question. Who is Babysitting our Bunny Kids?"

"Please Don't be mad Honey Bunny, it's Felix the cat."

"Oh.. ok, Felix…. Wait a minute…WHAT..! NO… NOT…Felix..!"

Oswald was stunned and nearly dropped the food! His wife knew how much he didn't want to talk to Felix because of there past! Secretly Oswald was more Afraid what he would say to Felix. But If Oswald had to think about it, honestly there where worst Toon's out there then Felix. Like Oswald was more Afraid of Woody Woodpecker and he didn't want to meet Mickey Mouse! but still he didn't want his Kids to have to deal with a drunk version Felix the cat!

"Don't drop the food!"

"You made Felix the cat watch our kids! How could you?!"

"Felix is good with the kids, Felix has been a Dad for years before he got divorced with his ex-wife Kitty-Kat. So they've been co-parenting for years! Taking turns taking care of the kids. Felix came to visit his Kids who still live with Felix's ex Kitty-Kat. and the Kids found Felix's kids first! I didn't make them meet the Bunny Kids seemed to just love Felix's kids! I couldn't split the kids friendship up! Do want me to brake a friendship!? You know how hard it is for our kids to make new friends there age?! who are Toon kids like them! And it's hard finding a babysitter that the Bunny kids! Nobody was to Babysit them! And I know both Clarabella and Fanny loves taking care of the kids, but both of them weren't Available! and because both Fanny Cottontail and Clarabella where out on a girls day! Even Felix's ex wife KittyKat is out!"

"But…But… you know how Felix can get!? "

"Oswald, Felix has been Sober and clean for years! And I don't understand why you don't like Felix? You haven't seen Felix in years! Toons can change over that time Oswald! "

"Some Toons cant change! Felix is dangerous! Felix didn't put the moves on you?!"

"No why would he? And I was never alone with Felix! Honey, Your looking at this all wrong! Felix never once flirted with me! I was never alone with him, Felix always had ether his kids with him or Fanny and Kitty-Kat where there!"

"Never stopped him before!"

" Oswald! You know your the only Honey Bunny for me! Besides I cant see Felix in that way he's to old for me… Felix is more Like a older Brother to me. Besides We where only talking about you! We shared story's about how ' Cute ' you where, when you where younger! Felix knew you before I did. . . . so it was nice to hear thing's Ive never heard about, you, from someone else! "

"But…Im not Cute Im a Manly Rabbit! What did HE say about me, behind my back!?"

"Well Felix told the kids, about how you'd think he was your hero, how you used to make small happy jumps when you where happy, how he had to hold your hand so you wouldn't get lost?"

"He told the kids! What?!"

"Why yes the kids loved to hear story's about younger you."

Oswald fuming at the mouth. Steam was literally coming out of Oswalds ears! " Im going to give him a piece of my mind!"

" No you wont! Do it for the children!"

Oswald throws all the Grocery's into Ortensia's hands and runs off to find that Cat before he does more damage!

" Come Back here Oswald! Your going to wrong way! "

Oswald doesn't hear her and runs off fast!

Ortensia watches has her Husband runs off in the wrong direction, Felix and Felix's kids and there Bunny kids is not in that direction's!

Oh why cant Oswald help her with Grocery's then she'll show him where Felix is?!

(Ortensia doesn't know Oswald had more then a Hero crush on Felix when he was younger. And she knows Felix got drunk, but she doesn't know drunk Felix kissed Oswald. And Oswald been mad for years at Felix. But Felix doesn't even remember the dunk kiss, since Felix was to drunk. Poor Felix has no idea what he did to make Oswald so mad at him! Felix thinks it has something to do with Or leaving Oswald with Koko the clown. And Koko the clown forcing Oswald to sign the magic contract document? Krazy Kat and Ignatz gave Felix a chew out for that. 'chew out' means they yelled at Felix for doing that. Krazy Kat and Ignatz found a why to make the magic contract document fade Oswalds Signature fade almost all away. Felix for a while gave Oswald space it wasn't hard to, since Felix lived in New York and Oswald lived in California. Felix forgot about Oswald for a while. Since Felix only met Oswald a few times. Felix didn't know about Woody Woodpecker locking Oswald in a closet. Felix only knew Oswald got very sick but Felix knew sick Oswald didn't want to see him. Felix wanted to visit sick Oswald but he was scared. Felix did write Oswald a get well letter though. And Oswald did get that letter. So only Oswald knows a drunk Felix kissed him. And Oswald has never told anyone drunk Felix did that. )

Ortensia starts to talk to whisper to herself.

" Oswald it's been years.… why cant you get over all this hate? after all these years? Peg leg Pete told me you used to hero worship Felix? what happened between you to? That made you hate him so? "

Ortensia makes a sigh, these two sounded like they where going to be a handful. The Ortensia paused then yelled in anger.

" Oswald you left me to carry all the Grocery's by myself!"

Ortensia then hear's two people taking behind her, but she couldn't suddenly turn around because of all the Grocery's in her hand's.

" Ortensia did Oswald leave you again to go off on another adventure? "

" We would be happy to help Ortensia! "

Ortensia looks up theses Toons are much taller then her, it's Pete and Horace she smiles.

"Thanks boys I'll go after him myself after I get these Grocery's to the Castle."

Pete and Horaces they help bring the food to castle.

Then Pete gets mad why isn't Oswald helping. "What did that runt Rabbit run off to do now?!"

" I asked Felix to Babysit our Bunny Kids. Oswald went off to yell at Felix. "

Pete nods his head and smile's. " Oh it's just Felix here…" then suddenly Pete gets shocked look on his face when he realised. " Wait!? Felix is here!? That could mean trouble! "

Pete drops what he's carrying and runs off!

" Wait Pete! Where are you going?!"

Both Ortensia and Horace look in shock, as Pete runs off leaving them with tons of Grocery's in there hand's.

" Mrs. Ortensia can I make a Suggestion?"

" Yes Horace."

" Lets catch up after them after we put away the Grocery's?…This could get messy"

"Your right Horace best to wait till the dust has settled."

So Both Ortensia and Horace are left with tons of Grocery's to bring to Castle.

They silently do there job only once in while Ortensia telling Horace where to put things. And Ortensia promise's to bake a pie for Horace for his trouble.

All this time Ortensia cant help but think to herself.

'I Never did understand why Oswald has been mad at Felix for years? '

Oswald Prov:

Oswald was Running like mad Rabbit!

One thought in this Rabbit mind was he had no idea where Felix and his kids where?! So Oswald had no idea where to run to?!

Looks Like Oswald was running in Circles?!

And He was running in Circles!

So Oswald try'd asking for Directions but nobody knew where that CAT and his kids where?! How was it so hard to not find his kids?! There was 420 Bunny kids how can they be so hard to find?!

But Oswald found Felix's kids and the Bunny Kid's in unexpected place. It was by the lake remember this was before the lake turned toxic due to the Thinner Disaster. They where racing toy boats on the lake. There looked like to be at least three tiny Felix's with baseball caps, Those tiny Felix's where Felix's kids. Felix's kids each had names Inky, Winky, and Dinky. But then there was other tiny Felix's kids who didn't have baseball caps they where much smaller. Each of them where playing with a group of Bunny kids. Theses kids seemed to having so much fun playing! :3

But Oswald was to full of rage to notice the details. Felix wasn't even there but there was a white lady Cat there? Wait that must be Felix's ex-wife she might know where Felix is?

" Um hello Ms do you know where Felix is? "

" Oh hello you must be Oswald! Hi Im Kitty-Kat!"

" Um Hi Ms Kitty-Kat! "

" Your Kids just love playing with my kids there having so much fun! " Kitty-Kat seemed to be really happy her kids had finally found friends.

" Thats good—-" Oswald looks at his Bunny kid's having fun with Felix's kitten kid's, at least there having fun.

" Where is Felix?"

" Oh Felix went to get some surprise candy for the kids at the Grocery store in town, He should be heading that way now! "

Oswald's in shock he must of just missed HIM!

" Thanks Ms Kitty! "

Oswald runs off fast like the Rabbit he is!

" Wait Mr. Oswald!"

Kitty-Kat huffs well how rude!

He could of just waited for Felix to come back, and helped her watch all the kids!

Oswald go's to the Grocery store and still cant find Felix!

Oswald is out of breath he's been running all around Town looking for that CAT!

Oswald is folding his arms in huff, he's so mad then he hears a happy voice behind him.

" Oswald! My old Rival! How's The Missies an the Kids Doing? "

Oswald turns around to see that annoying Cat he hasn't seen in Year's!

Oswald growls like man Rabbit.

" YOU! "

If Oswald wasn't blinded by rage, Oswald would of noticed a few things off about Felix. One, Felix has never been really Happy before around Oswald, Oswald remembers Felix being a very grumpy cat, Now it's Felix who's happy while Oswald's in a grumpy sower mood! Two, Felix looks like he's hiding something under that smile like it's all a act. Yet half truth Felix really is happy to see Oswald again. Yet Felix decided to put on the old acting charm. In hopes that Felix would be able talk to Oswald.

In anger Oswald's spats out words. Lifting his arms up with his long ears laying down.

" Everyone forget's me! But I can't seem to get you to Forget, me to!"

Felix only singing grins back. Felix puts his fist to the heart of his chest.

"Your Unforgettable MY Friend!"

"We are Not Friends!"

Felix just smiles at Oswald empty thought's about how angry Oswald looks so small and cute!

Felix grinning with his big teeth thinking, 'Oh my Gosh! your so small! I forgot how small you where! '

Felix Thoughts:

Felix knows this is supposed to be serious meeting. That Felix should not be joking around! That's they should Both have a serious talk not a fight.

Felix has so much to tell Oswald!

Yet It looks like Oswald to mad to listen, to what Felix has to say.

Truthfully Felix doesn't even know why Oswald is mad at him?

And thats the funny part of it!

And it looks like, the Little cute Bunny Oswald isn't going down without a fight!

but Felix cant help himself Oswald looks so small and mad and cute!

And thats Hilarious to Felix!

Felix knows, Oswald doesn't have upper body strength to tango with Felix in a fight!

Only Felix cousin Alex has been able to give Felix Bruise's.

That's tough family love only a Toon knows!

Felix could pound fist Oswald to ground in a fight, but maybe Oswald would be faster in race? But Felix doesn't want to hurt Oswald.

It's strange to see Oswald so mad? Older Felix only remember's when younger Oswald as a happy bouncing young Toon.

Felix always kept that memory in his mind for years.

But this angry older little Rabbit is so new and refreshing.

It's not Felix fault he just didn't know what Oswald went threw. Also Felix was just so happy at seeing Oswald again, That Felix forgets all he should tell Oswald!

Remember Felix's studio lived in New York and Oswald's studio was in California. That's across the other side of America! Now Oswald could of used Toon Town as a way to visit Felix but Oswald was in hot water with his Studio and never had time to himself. Also Woody woodpecker locked Oswald in a closet for years.

Felix being so happy at seeing Oswald, Felix had completely forgotten the reason for coming to Wasteland!

Yes, Felix had a reason for meeting Oswald again!

Also Felix forgot what he was supposed to tell Oswald and, only Oswald!

One thing Felix was supposed to tell Oswald was about Julius!

And how Julius was still alive! How Julius will send for Oswald, when Julius finds what Julius looking for!

How Julius is looking for Oswalds younger brother Flip the Frog.

Where Julius is in a part of this world that is lower level of OsTown.

That Julius is all alone searching for his younger Brother!

And not to tell the copy Peg Leg Pete that Julius is alive!

Julius dent want the copy version of Peg leg Pete to know!

Second important thing Felix needs to tell Oswald, How Felix needs to leave soon to another Toon world, take care of the 1960s Human Toons that a related to Casper the Friendly Ghost! Those 1960s Human Toons need to be taught that they are Toon's, There Not Human's! if those Toon Humans don't learn the truth that they are Toons!

they WILL disappear Forever!

Felix Promised Casper he would never let his Toon Family disappear!

Felix care's deeply for the Toons who where made by Joe Oriolo.

Joe Oriolo may have sold Casper the friendly ghost to "Famous Studios"

but Casper still cared about the Toons Joe Oriolo made.

Only Casper still was mad at Joe Oriolo for leaving him at young age for a Toon.

Yes that's right Ponidexter, The Professor, Rockbottom, the Master Cylinder, Vavvoom, and even the Magic Bag, there all creations of Joe Oriolo.

Felix knew these Toons where not part of his Original world made by Otto Messmer. Some of them even looked like older Toons Friends Felix used to have, but there gone forever now…

Third thing Felix knows he should tell Oswald he has the power to go back and forth from Ostown to ToonTown and other worlds. Felix must tell Oswald, That Felix's 1920s era silent films are all but mostly forgotten, but Felix still survived's from his 1960s cartoon and the toy merchandise from that cartoon. That most people think Mickey is older then Felix. Felix knows that would make Oswald even more mad.

Felix looks at Oswald still smiles from ear to ear, and answers Oswalds statement!

" Well I consider you to be my Friend Oswald! "

"Bite Me!"

" That not a good idea my teeth are very sharp!" Hehehe!

" No you dumb Cat Fight Me!"

Oswald charged's at Felix to punch him, only for Felix keep on Dogging everyone of Oswald attacks. Now it is shown in the silent films Oswald doesn't have much strength.

Eventually Felix catches Oswalds fist in his hand.

" I think we need to work on your fighting Techniques!"

" You make so mad!"

" Why are you so mad at me Oswald?"

"Wait you don't know?!"

" Last I remember I was your friend! I last saw you was the beginning of the opening of the ToonTown Party?"

"Then what about the party?!"

"I lost you during the Party?"

"You don't remember what happened?!"

" Im sorry I was very drunk at the party.. this has been bothering me for a while now. Are you still mad at me for accidentally losing you and letting Koko make you sign that contract?"

Oswald pause's he forgot about that miss up problem.

"No it's not that! Fine drop it and Forget it Cat! "

" Im sorry whatever it was! " Felix looked upset. "Ive gotten better! I know longer drink!"

"Really?"

"Yes! Ive been Sober for years now! "

" What made you want to change?"

" Mostly my ex-Wife wouldn't let me see the kids unless I cleaned myself up.."

" Fine I'll give you a second chance Cat!"

" Thank's Bunny!"

" DON'T CALL ME BUNNY! ... only my Wife can call me Bunny…"

"Ok Bunny! I mean Rabbit! I mean Oswald! "

Suddenly Felix forgets what he's supposed to tell Oswald and Felix keeps on smiling in joy! and Felix keeps on telling himself he'll tell Oswald the bad news later, he'll tell him later.

But later, soon becomes to late for Felix.

Felix only gets to tell part of the news not all of it.
