Chapter 39 -Ink Addiction
Recap from the last chapter:
" Im sorry I was very drunk at the party.. this has been bothering me for a while now. Are you still mad at me for accidentally losing you and letting Koko make you sign that contract?"
Oswald pause's he forgot about that miss up problem.
"No it's not that! Fine drop it and Forget it Cat! "
" Im sorry whatever it was! " Felix looked upset. "Ive gotten better! I know longer drink!"
"Really?"
"Yes! Ive been Sober for years now! "
" What made you want to change?"
" Mostly my ex-Wife wouldn't let me see the kids unless I cleaned myself up.."
" Fine I'll give you a second chance Cat!"
" Thank's Bunny!"
" DON'T CALL ME BUNNY! ... only my Wife can call me Bunny…"
"Ok Bunny! I mean Rabbit! I mean Oswald! "
Suddenly Felix forgets what he's supposed to tell Oswald and Felix keeps on smiling in joy! and Felix keeps on telling himself he'll tell Oswald the bad news later, he'll tell him later.
But later, soon becomes to late for Felix.
Felix only gets to tell part of the news not all of it.
The Thinner Disaster ruin's everything.
Oswald's Prov:
Secretly Oswald wanted to Believe Felix had changed his way's of Drinking!
This was Oswald's third Time forgiving the Cat or was it the fourth?
He lost count!
Oswald was getting a headache!
A headache Just talking to this Cat!
It really Unsettled Oswald to see Felix so care free and playing with his kids and Felix's kids?
It made Oswald so mad how could Felix be happy when Oswald went threw so much?!
How could Felix be happy being forgotten?!
Oswald was used to a grumpy Felix less happy cat?
Maybe Felix found happiness?
In years of there separation?
Or another Addition to replace his old one?
Nope Oswald didn't want to know..
Ok Secretly maybe Oswald wanted know where the Cat had been all these years!
The truth is Oswald missed Felix even if he didn't want to admit it himself.
Oswald really did hero worship the Cat when he was a younger kid Toon.
Secretly He knew the Real reason why Oswald would always forgive the cat was because he considered Felix a long distant family member.
Since most of Oswalds life he lived in California and Felix Lived in New York.
Oswald knew it was not easy to visit Felix.
Otherwise Oswald would of visited Felix and probably forgiven Felix years ago?
What changed Felix?
When did you divorce your ex-wife?
How can you be so happy playing with kids?
I learned you hated Kids what changed you?
What made you change so drastically?
Who changed you?
Honestly it scared Oswald to point it made him real mad!
How can that CAT be so happy to see him!
What made Felix so Happy?!
Where had you been all theses years Felix?!
Why didn't Felix come to visit…. or look for him…?
If the Cat Missed him so much where was he when Oswald was at his Lowest point!?
It just made Oswald so Mad!
Only Before Oswald could ask Felix questions.
" Honey Bunny! Oswald where are you! Why did you run off like that?!"
Someone would alway distract him! Later Oswald would miss his Wife perfect bad timing! Only at moment Oswald could remember that Ortensia was there for him when Felix was absent. She was Oswald's rock an she replaced Felix in Oswald's absent heart with real love.
Oswald couldn't say anything…
Felix put his hand to his mouth an an yelled out load.
"Where over here Mrs Ortensia!"
Ortensia ran over like she was running a marathon.
" Oh thanks Goodness! You Two haven't killed each other yet!"
Ortensia sighed in relief!
" This CAT Started it!"
" Honey Be nice to Felix! " Ortensia waved her finger in the air like she was scolding a kid.
" But Darling…!"
" No But's! "
"But..!"
" We NEED a Baby-sitter and Felix has done a great job so far! —"
So Oswald folded his arms in huff an nodded a yes to his loving wife.
"Witch reminds me where are my Baby's ?! "
" There ok Mrs. Ortensia my ex wife Kitty Kat and Fanny are with them! I was getting Candy for the kids before I met Oswald! "
" Oh that's nice for you to buy them all candy! But where's all your candy?"
Felix smirked, " Let's just say I have magic way of Concealing all the candy so it's easier to carry!"
" Oh a new magic Trick! but next time don't leave them ok! "
" I promise Madam! "
So both Felix and Ortensia started walking to the kids with Ortensia pulling her grumpy husband by the hand.
Oswald tuned out everything Felix was telling Ortensia.
Later after the Thinner Tragedy, Oswald wished he would of listened to Felix. maybe there could of been a clue to the mystery that is Felix and what really happened?
Only This is in Oswalds point of view in this chapter, and the Rabbit was full of Jealousy! And Rabbit didn't even know why?! just looking at both of them made Oswald want to yell again at Felix! In Rabbit's eye's 'It must be Felix's problem for being here!' Is Felix trying to take away his wife?! They look so good together they get along so well! Better then Felix ever got along with Oswald! They look so much alike! They could both be twins! Wait?! OH My Gosh! Oh No! Oh No Oh no no no no no! It was that moment Oswald remembered something he alway tried to forget! Ortensia WAS drawn to look like Felix! She was Drawn Deliberately to look like Felix! How could Oswald had forgotten THAT! because Oswald's other father Ub Iwerks, found out of Oswald's childhood hero worship of Felix! Younger Oswald used to Idolize Felix! And so when Fanny broke up with Oswald and Fanny left. Ub Iwerks needed to make a new girlfriend for Oswald! A girl that he would be attracted to! Ub Iwerks made Ortensia to be girl version of his ex Hero!
Only Ortensia knows this! yet she's never brought it up to Oswald before?
Hopefully she doesn't remember!?
Please let her not Remember!
For the Love Of Disney, Please Not Let Felix or anyone else find that Out!
And part of Oswald that still torn!
Oswald didn't know what think of feeling's!?
Then another something Horrifying came to Oswald, they where walking in the direction of Felix's ex-wife Kitty-Kat and His ex wife Fanny Cottontail!
Oh Toon God's NO! what if Felix's ex-wife found out or worse Oswald's ex-Wife Fanny!
What a awkward situation Oswald would be in.
They cannot all meet up with there Kid's!
No this cant be happening this was the worse most embarrassing day of Oswald's life!
Oswald tried to pull himself away from his wife's grip but she held fast!
Strangely enough Oswalds fears where for nothing, the exchange was very uneventful they said there pleasantry's.
Oswald didn't say much the whole time. While the three girls really hit it off they both loved to talk about fashion, cooking, and girl stuff! Fanny's talked about career as a Nurse, Kitty Kat thanked Ortensia so much for her kids finally having some friends to play with there age! Fanny wanted to know how her Bunny kids where doing. Ortensia was just so happy to finally have time to garden her garden! Ortensia loved her kids dearly but Ortensia asked if she and the girls can finally have that girls day they've always wanted! Fanny suggested Felix and Oswald could babysit the kids? Ortensia mentioned maybe that would be bad idea since both Felix and Oswald don't get along. Fanny and Kitty-Kat both didn't know this apparently. Fanny still thought Oswald hero worshiped Felix. Kitty-Kat only heard good things about younger Oswald from Felix. Ortensia pointed to her Bunny husband who was mocking Felix by being a kid and sticking his tongue out. Felix smiled a smirk at Oswald. Now Oswald was raging mad and he looked like he was going tear Felix's head off! Both Fanny and Kitty-Kat made a dead pan look like seriously. Fanny couldn't understand what made her ex husband Oswald mad at his hero Felix?! it must be her ex husband's fault! Now Kitty-Kat only thoughts where Felix what did you do now! What You do to this poor Rabbit! All girls could agree This is going to be a problem.
One Of the little Bunny's asked "Uncle Felix where's the candy you promised us?"
Felix smile so gently to the Bunny Kid.
" Not to worry I have it right here!"
Suddenly Felix grabbed his Magic Bag out of nowhere "Hammer Space" and let all the candy spill out like bomb's or fire works into the sky for the little Kids to grab.
All the Kids where celebrating!
Candy for everyone!
And nobody noticed, but Felix, that for once Oswald smiled happy as the Rabbit looked at all the candy falling from in the sky.
Felix couldn't be hopeful that maybe the Rabbit would forgive him someday one day and Oswald would smile again like that at him?
Sadly none of the girls thought about splitting the kids into two groups, some to be Babysit with Felix and some to be watched by there father Oswald.
All the Girls forced the boys to watch the kids together!
Author's Note: I could go into detail about Oswald's and Felix's two short weeks of arguing with no resovole in site. And how the chaos when they Babysit the kids together.
Only know that Oswald did one nice thing for Felix during that time before the dilator struck. before the end of the first week Oswald was tired of Arguing with Felix. And Oswald took his wife Ortensia advice and try and talk to Felix. And try to understand Felix's side of the story.
And Oswald went to look for the cat Felix.
only to find Felix sleeping on a park bench with a newspaper to cover Felix like blanket?
Oswald sat down next to to Felix and started to try and talk rationally.
Only the Felix kept being vague about himself, an Felix snark remarks where making Oswald upset.
Then Oswald Finally got some information from Felix, Oswald learned Felix didn't have a home in Wasteland?! And that's why Felix was sleeping on the Park bench?!
Turn's out Kitty-Kat would NOT let her ex husband live with her and there kids!
So Felix was once again sleeping outside homeless.
This made Oswald very upset!
Oswald maybe mad at Felix, but No Forgotten Toon should be homeless in his Kingdom!
Oswald asked Felix why didn't he use his babysitter money to buy a hotel room?
Felix was never a good money saver and spent all his well earned money buying things like candy for the Kids and gift's for his kids.
Felix felt bad that he didn't get to spend much time with his kids ever since the divorce. Felix still wanted to be a good father to his kids. Even though he knew he was bad at it.
Felix begged Oswald not to tell his kids what there mother did to him. Because Felix wanted his kids to still love there mother.
Oswald asked if she was always this mean to Felix?
Felix said it didn't mater and it wasn't Oswald business to know.
Oswald said he was the king and he could of came to his subjects for help. Felix said he didn't want his charity.
Then Oswald made a command.
" You forget Felix, im the King of Forgotten Toon's! So until you save up for a house for yourself! And Oder you to stay at one of the empty house's I made for Toons I already know exist but are not forgotten yet!"
" But what if that Toon becomes forgotten and comes for there house?"
" Not to worry they wont be forgotten soon! Because I have the perfect house for you!"
Oswald would NEVER tell Felix but he was giving Felix the house he made for his hated younger brother Mickey. And Oswald knew how much Mickey was famous so Mickey wouldn't be forgotten so soon!
Besides Oswald also NEVER Thought Felix would be forgotten! Hence why Oswald never made Felix a house for him. Since Oswald still remember's Felix the silent films star! Oswald felt bad he forgotten to make a house for Felix! Oswald could kick himself in the pants! Of corse that Mouse over shine all older toon's and would make Thee Felix the Cat over shadowed! Oswald thought it was fitting that once Big Star before Oswald's time take over The Mouse's house for the time being! Oswald wasn't going to let Felix stay in that Mouse's house forever! Oswald was going to get some gremlins like Gus to Plan for a house for Felix. Oswald used to study Felix so he knew by the silent films what Felix liked Oswald was already interior designing Felix's home in his mind! Oswald felt so secretly Guilty, Why did Oswald forget about Felix! Oswald was supposed to be the Forgotten King not to ever forget a lost Toon!
" Felix I have my Differences with you but I have no excuse for letting you live without a house! What kind of King would I be if I let one of my subject's live in the street's homeless!"
Well Felix was in shock Oswald really did take being the forgotten King seriously! Felix also wanted to yell he was Not Oswald's subject that Felix could and would leave this Kingdom when he was done with his Mission! But once again Felix never had the chance to get a word in.
Because what Oswald did next left Felix breathless and shocked!
Just like all those years ago when Felix grabbed a younger Oswald's hand, so young Oswald wouldn't get lost in ToonTown. Oswald grabbed Felix's hand and pulled a shocked Felix to his new house. Threw out the entire exchange, Felix was blushing red!
This was so embarrassing to be lead around by younger Toon!
Felix only wished the Rabbit warned him first!
Luckily there was no skin contact, both Toon wore black skin tight gloves!
Felix was mad Oswald should be old enough to know Toon etiquette!The Toon etiquette for grabbing hands was VERY important!
If anyone watched " who framed Roger Rabbit" then remember there is romance and family tie's for holding hands!
Jessica Rabbit was photographed doing 'Paddy Cake' with a human who was not her husband! 'Paddy Cake' for toons was only done with lover'!
So Toon's are taught at a young age not to touch other Toon's hands unless they have to!
Then weir gloves to touch each other. It doesn't mater what type of gloves. It could be white gloves, black Gloves, Tan Gloves, or blue Gloves. Just don't let your ink Mix together! It is very romantic to hold hands without gloves in public! And Never ask a toon if there wearing gloves or not or you could make a Toon upset! That's why Felix never wanted to chance it and Felix always wore glove's! Felix didn't like unwanted Public Displays of affection. unless PDA was needed for a kid who need guidance or couple who respectful of everyone else around them! Felix only grabbed Oswald's hand back in the past because Oswald was still back then considered a child Toon in a adult body! Felix considered younger Oswald back then a child who needed guidance! So for a older Oswald to grab Felix's hand, and with Felix being old himself!
They only got so far before Felix was fearful of someone seeing them like this?! So In a controlled but Ferm commanding quite voice so nobody would hear them, Felix spoke with displeased voice.
" Oswald let go of my hand… I can follow you just fine… "
Oswald let go of Felix's hand like Felix was on fire!
Oswald face blushed's, flushed red! In stuttered voice Oswald reply'ed.
" Im so Sorry! Follow me! "
Why did Oswald grab Felix's hand? Well Oswald himself would never Tell Felix! And Oswald never tell anyone not even himself. So For a moment Oswald felt like kid again with a crush on his childhood hero Felix and for a moment Oswald had forgotten he was still mad at Felix! So Oswald did what his younger self always Wanted to do all along and hold Felix's the hand! Younger Oswald was to pure to imagine kissing anyone but younger Oswald always wanted to be best Friends with Felix and hold his hand! And past Oswald want ed to the hero and help Felix! Younger Oswald always wanted to Impress Felix! And for moment Oswald lost his mind and just did that without thinking!
Now Oswald walked in shame in front of Felix. With Felix following Oswald. Oswald was so happy Felix couldn't see his blushing face full of shame! Then Oswald had a horrified thought what if he made Felix his consort? Oswald had done his research on the human Kings of the past. If you think about it tons of Kings had male Consort's back in the past. in fact I was a common thing to do! It was even expected! Even the famous King David of the Bible had tons of Wife's! Nope don't even go there! Felix would never agree to that! What are you thinking Rabbit!? Ortensia would never agree to this! His subjects where Modern Toons's who didn't know anything about past History King custom's! Also Wasn't still mad at this Cat?!
He was no longer a young Toon Kid with crush! Oswald had people who looked up to him! Beside's Felix was to drunk to even remember the kiss they shared years ago! Just thinking of that disgusting kiss made Oswald want vomit! Oswald, Get it together be the good just King that Lost Forgotten Toon's need! Toon's like Felix will only drag you down! Any friendship with Felix would not be good!
What did Felix once say. ' It never good to be friends with your rival Toon because they are from rival studio's!'
That's right Felix was his Rival first not his friend, hero, or anything else! Once Oswald would be done helping Felix they would go back to being what they where always—-.
Oswald stopped walking they where there at Mickey's house!
" Well Cat here's house for now till we can find a replacement! Here's the key!" Oswald handed Felix the key.
Felix put the key in door unlocking the door. Felix pocketed the key in his hammer space pocket that every Toon has. And Felix opened the inside of the house all Felix could thinks was the house was simple.
" Now do you need me to show you inside?"
" I think I can mange. Did I say Thanks Oswald? so thank's …" Felix
"Your welcome Felix…Good-Bye_ "
Oswald paused a awkwardly, stared at Felix. Oswald turned around and started to walk away embarrassed while blushing.
Felix called out loud. "See Yah later! Thank's for the new house Bunny!"
Oswald stiffened his back in irritation! How dare Felix call him Bunny when he told him not To!
" Good riddance Cat!"
Oswald yelled as he ran away.
As Oswald ran away Felix smugly smirked. He knew it was wrong but to tease that Bunny but it was so funny!
Felix couldn't help but think of the German word ' schadenfreude ' the meant, Pleasure derived by someone from another Person's misfortune. Or Happiness at the misfortune other's.
He was a Toon so Felix hoped Oswald knew he only teased out of Love!
Besides Most Toons loved Teasing people they care about!
An Felix was no different! Even if
Felix softly shut the door behind him!
Oh so much potential for a wonderful friendship only to once again be torn apart!
Oswald was just beginning to forgive and rekindle a lost friendship with Felix.

'Fortunately he had enough presence of mind to Jam the Stopper into the Bottle, Trapping the Blot.' 'It did NOT However, end the war. The Blot's minions were still loose upon the land, under the guidance of the Mad Doctor and the Blot's Most Fearsome Minion.' 'Noe of Which mattered in the least to Oswald.' 'His entire reason for livening had Been Obliterated by the Blot.'
{ Oswald clings to the statue of Ortensia Lamenting and blaming himself, unstopping shed tears wails. }

And Oswald would still there weeping by the statue of Ortensia and Oswald would of been killed by enemy or killed himself. Yes at this point Oswalds life Oswald was really having thought's of suicide. Oswald didn't want to live without his Life partner Loving wife Ortensia.
They say a Black Cat bringing's bad Luck and Felix had really bad luck this day!
What had Felix been doing the whole time of the Thinner Disaster?
Well the first day of the Thinner Disaster Felix went back to visit Pointdexter and Professor and Rockbottom.
Only for to come back to OsTown (later called Wasteland) Felix found his Wife's house destroyed and all his Kids and Ex-Wife Gone?!
Felix did his best to fight the Blotling's. And Felix was able to save some other Toon's. Felix hide his face under a hooded brown cloak.
The citizens thought there king Oswald had saved them not Felix saved them.
Felix used everything he could to fight the enemy, not just his magic bag.
Felix soon found out his magic bag Melted after he used it to long against the monster's.
Felix fought long and hard against these monster's alone.
and soon Felix remembered his tail can detach and be used a good bat stick to wack them in the head. Or hit them like baseball.
Doing this nearly melted Felix's entire tail off!
Then at last effort Felix used one of his older magical item's, from Felix's past silent films.
A magic bubble pipe, these Magic bubbles where so powerful they could be used a the perfect trap it would take hours to escape or melt the soap bubbles.
As Felix punched the blots faces inside out.
Felix blowed the magic bubbles to trap the Blot's temporally inside the soap bubble's.
Maybe Felix should of revealed it was him, who saved the citizens.
The citizens that Felix helped now didn't know Felix helped them.
so now Felix didn't have anyone testify what Felix was doing during the 'Thinner Disaster'.
Felix had no alibi.
But that was far form Felix's mind he was looking for his family, his kids, and friends?
Could they still be friends?
Did those Monster's kill his Kid's and Ex-wife?!
Those monster's will pay they killed his only living family!
Felix wipe any tears from his eye's and let his acting skills take over!
This Cat's eye's only showed ice rage! ! ! !
Felix tired of losing his Kids and Ex-wife, again, an again, AGAIN!
Where was Ortensia, Pete, Clarabella the cow, Horace Horse?!
But Mostly was Oswald Alive?
Felix looked everywhere for anyone to see if they where alive!
But where was the Rabbit?
Felix would later hate himself for letting his guard down for the rabbit and letting Oswald to close to him! If only Felix had stayed with the crowd then maybe….?
No this all had to happen. . .
If it didn't Oswald would be dead!
Who knows what Oswald could of done to himself?

Felix plunged the dagger into Oswald's chest!
With a mouth full of blood, " Take… a p..art part of heart B…unny bunny! " the cat pushed the piece of heart into Oswald's chest.
"…Please don't d.. die.." Exhausted from losing a piece of his heart Felix collapse on Oswald.
And that's where Peg leg Pete and Card Guard's found both Felix and Oswald.
Peg leg Pete came to conclusion Felix had tried to kill His King and kill Ortensia!?
Since Felix still had the dagger sword in his hands!?
Afterwards:
Most of The blotling's where still trapped in the magic Bubbles thanks to Felix so there where less attack's. Otherwise they would still be attacking.
The bubbles trapped the blots in the bubbles for about five months!
It was enough time for everyone to lick there wounds And regroup there resources.
It took both Oswald and Felix to long time recover from such operation.
Pete wish he should of left Felix to die!
Pete was convinced Felix clearly betrayed them!
But Gus convinced Pete he needed Felix's testimony what happened!
And The citizens toons needed someone to blame!
And Felix looked very guilty!
Oswald was first to wake up!

where's Ortensia?
