Phineas and Ferb: Disneyland Vacation
Chapter 4: New Orleans Square
Meanwhile from the outside, The Flynn-Fletchers and the Fireside Girls are walking over to the spot where they see a cabin on an island right across the river where Mark Twain Riverboat passed by. They were fascinated at sightseeing.
"Here she is, Mark Twain Riverboat." said Lawrence.
"And over there, you see Tom Sawyer Island where everyone is visiting." Linda added.
"Cool, I never thought that we should put it on the list when we get back home. What do you think, Ferb?" Phineas suggested.
Ferb already written down on his notes and give Phineas a thumbs up.
"Well, according to this book, by day the guests are visiting Tom Sawyer Island to relax this moment that was based on the novel series, but at night it was transformed into a nighttime spectacular called "Fantasmic!", a battle between good and evil that first premiered in 1992." Isabella announced reading her Disney Guidebook.
"Wow! This must be where it takes place on the island." said Phineas. "Can we watch the show tonight?"
"You know, that's sounds like a great idea." Linda agreed.
"It sure sounds lovely." said Lawrence.
"So what rides are we going next?" asked Vivian.
"How about that one? Pirates of the Caribbean." Phineas suggested as he pointed the entrance says "Pirates of the Caribbean".
"Ooh, that sure looks fascinated. What do you think, dear?" Lawrence asked his wife.
"Well, that's alright with me." Linda agreed.
"C'mon lads, adventures await us." said Lawrence.
The kids and their parents entered the attraction. Later on, The Doofensmhirtzs got out from the temple. Vanessa enjoyed her favorite ride, but her dad was shivering since well, you know.
"That was totally awesome. So, what's next?" Vanessa asked.
"Well, it sure looks terrifying back there. Why don't we try something that looks not terrifying?" Heinz replied.
"How about Pirates of the Caribbean?"
"Pirates, eh? Well, I don't see why not." He shrugged.
They both entered the entrance while Perry sneaking very quietly. It won't be very long by the time the kids and their parents got inside. The cast member asked how many passengers and Lawrence replied that there are 13 as they got into the boat. Linda, Lawrence, and Vivian are in the back. Phineas, Ferb and Isabella are in the front while the Fireside Girls are sitting separately in two more rows and finally Candace is sitting in the fourth row along with two guests who are fans of pirates.
"Ahoy there, crew! For your safety, remain seated, keeping your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the boat—and watch your children. And no flash pictures! Prepare to make sail!"
Then the boat entered into a swamp where trees and cabins are while an alligator is sleeping on the water. They turned their heads right where everyone is dining.
"Look, honey. There's a restaurant where we can dine in." said Lawrence.
"It looks beautiful!" said Linda fascinated.
"Ooh, that sounds lovely!" Vivian added.
Then they passed by the cabin where an animatronic old man is sitting on the chair listening some music with banjo style. Suddenly, they entered the tunnel where they see a pirate skull talking to them.
"Ye come seekin' adventure and salty ol' pirates, eh? Sure, ye come to the proper place. But keep a weather eye open, mates, and hold on tight, with both hands if you please...there be squalls ahead, and Davy Jones waiting for them what don't obey."
They didn't expect to enter, but they were about to drop in as they cheered while Candace screamed when the boat slides down with a splash. The kids started to laugh for their first drop, but Candace didn't laugh when she started to noticed that there aren't any seatbelts.
"Wait a minute? Where are the seatbelts?!" Candace frantic.
"There's no seatbelt in the attraction, Candace. No need to panic." Linda reminded her daughter.
"Yeah, but what if there's another drop?"
"And that's where we heading." Lawrence added.
"Wait, what?"
Suddenly, they felt they're sliding down on the third drop when kids are cheering except Candace. Finally, they have entered the cave where all blue lights shining with skeleton lies on the rock with seagull nesting on it's hat. They took no noticed when another boat drop in where Vanessa and her dad are in the boat along with some passengers.
"WHOO! That's awesome!" Vanessa cheered.
"Yeah! That was fun! So, what happens now?" Heinz asked.
"I don't know, but were about to find out."
They didn't notice when Perry was onboard in disguises as a pirate. Back with the kids and their parents, the boats glide gently past a thunderstorm tossing an old pirate ship about, though its pilot is nothing more than a skeleton. The boats pass through the Crews Quarters, complete with skeletal pirates playing chess, the captain looking up treasure on his map, an old Harpsichord playing the theme, and a full of treasures.
"Ooh, this diamonds sure looks pretty!" said Candace satisfied.
"Yeah, that's a lot of gold." Phineas agreed.
"It sure looks, pretty." said Isabella.
"Hey look, there's a a big chest!" said Ginger pointing her finger.
It shows the chest that has full of Aztec Gold. The kids remember the Aztec Gold that was from the movie they watched.
"Hey, it's the Aztec Gold from the movie." said Phineas.
"Well, according this, the Aztec Gold was found and taken to treasure cove, but it turns out that this gold is full of curse." Gretchen explained when she read her guidebook.
"CURSED?!" Candace frantic.
"Yep, just as I thought. That medallion is full of curse." said Phineas.
"Dead men tell no tales."
They heard an echo voice throughout the cave and suddenly, a ruthless pirate with a head of an octopus like humanoid made appeared on the mist known as Davy Jones as he cackled.
"Ahahahaha! Aye, but tales there be aplenty in this cursed place."
Then he disappeared leaving some passengers stunned.
"Well, that was unexpected." Phineas commented.
Suddenly, they have entered to an area where the battle took place in between the Wicked Wench, commanded by Captain Barbossa (animatronic) and the Spanish Soldiers.
"Strike your colors, ya bloomin' cockroaches! Surrender Cap'n Jack Sparrow or, by thunder, we'll burn this city to the ground!"
The kids and their parents were awed as they watch the pirates firing at each other. Then the water pumps to make it look like the cannons missed the target. Following by another boat where the Doofenshmirtzs are onboard with some passengers.
"Wow! Now that is evil! Can you believe it where we passed by some skeletons and treasures? Even a squid man on the water." Heinz commented.
"It's Davy Jones, dad and it's not that bad. Right?" replied Vanessa.
"Aw, just for once? Pretty please?" said her father pleaded.
"Okay, just for once." Vanessa sighed.
"Yipee!"
Then a splash landed on his face. Vanessa giggled at her dad when his face got wet.
"Aw, c'mon!"
Perry chuckled quietly in his disguises. Back to the family, they entered the wrecked village where pirates attack taking all of people's stuff, hostage take over, and chased by some women. Even some pirates selling everything like paintings and some crying women as auctioneer. They also passed by animatronic pirate known as Jack Sparrow peaking from the mannequin's dress. They can also listen to the music where most pirates sing.
(A Pirate's Life For Me - Pirates of the Caribbean)
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me
We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me
We extort and pilfer, we filch and sack
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Maraud and embezzle and even highjack
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me
We kindle and char and enflame and ignite
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
We burn up the city, we're really a fright
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
We're rascals and scoundrels, we're villains and knaves
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
We're devils and black sheep, we're really bad eggs
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me
We're beggars and blighters and ne'er do-well cads
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Aye, but we're loved by our mommies and dads
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho
Then they entered the dungeon where most pirates are locked up in a prison when they tried to get the dog who's holding a key some attention by using a bone so that they can escape, but the dog refuse to move.
"It's a good thing dogs were trained." Phineas commented.
Ferb nodded. Then the boat went through the wrecked room with a little bit of fire. Candace noticed when there were some stuff hanging thinking about what happens if it's going to crash on them, but shook her head off reminding herself that it was just part of the ride. Finally they entered the armory room where pirates were drunk as they foolishly shooting at each other, but missing their aim. The boat started to lifted up where they passed animatronic Jack Sparrow singing in tat room with some treasures.
Drink up me hearties, yo ho! Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!
Jack: (spoken) A toast to piracy, and its many shiny rewards. As a career, what could be more rewarding?
Drink up me hearties, yo ho!
Then they heard Davy Jones voice that they remember.
"So it seems dead men do tell tales—don't they?"
Candace shivered when she felt uncomfortable when Davy Jones laugh evilly. Then the boat slip to that area where people entered as they passed by an animatronic macaw sitting on the shovel in front of the huge pirate map.
"Wow! That was fun. What do you think, Isabella?" Phineas asked.
"It looks awesome" Isabella replied then looked back at her troops. "What do you think, girls?"
"That was epic!" "It's all good." "Shiver me timbers!"
Soon they got off the boat and exit through the building. Then another boat arrived where the Doofenshmirtzs and some passengers got off the boat while Perry walk besides them when they took no noticed.
"Well, that was fun. I can't believe this song is gonna stuck in my head over, and over, and over..." Heinz repeatedly.
"Dad, it's just a ride. Everybody enjoys this." Vanessa reminded her dad.
"So, what else do they have?" Heinz asked.
"How about Haunted Mansion? I heard that there was a spooky attraction." Vanessa answered.
"Oh, I see you like dark, grooming, and spooky themed. How bad can it be?"
Meanwhile where The Flynn-Fletchers and the Fireside Girls were waiting in line at the Haunted Mansion. have entered the big room where people are standing. Candace felt nervous when something's really spooky in there.
"Hey, Ferb. Remember the last time we build the haunted house to scare Isabella's hiccup?"
Ferb nodded.
"Oh yeah, I remember that when you tried to get rid of my hiccup by scaring me and now it's gone when I catch you. With the help of my troops." said Isabella.
"Ah, brings back good memories." said Phineas
They remember that time when Isabella went to the haunted house that was built by Phineas and Ferb where all monsters and ghosts scaring in order to get rid of that hiccup. But as for Candace, however she's started to recall that day when her boyfriend's little sister is ruining her big moment and when she got home, she totally freaked out about monsters lurking her as she screams.
"Please, don't go into that. It's just too painful." Candace groan.
Then they entered the foyer is where the guests begin their tour of the mansion. Flickering candles light the room from sconces and the sole chandelier, while an organ plays a single-note melodic line which serves as the theme for the rest of the ride. A mirror is at the entrance. After enough guests have gathered in the foyer.
"Guys, I don't think we should be here. This place is scary." said Candace.
"It's alright darling, there's nothing to be afraid of." said Lawrence.
"Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion. I am your host, your ghost host. (chuckled evilly) Kindly step all the way in please, and make room for everyone. There's no turning back now. Our tour begins here in this gallery, where you see paintings of some of our guests as they appeared in their corruptible, mortal state."
By then, the door closed behind them. Candace felt uncomfortable since the last time back in Danville. Then the walls quietly seem to stretch upwards, elongating the paintings on them to reveal the fates of previous guests.
"Your cadaverous pallor betrays an aura of foreboding, almost as though you sense a disquieting metamorphosis. Is this haunted room actually stretching? Or is it your imagination, hmm? And consider this dismaying observation: this chamber has no windows and no doors… which offers you this chilling challenge... to find a way out! (Laughs.) Of course, there's always my way."
Suddenly, when thunder lightning strikes starling some guests. A body hangs from a noose above the room. A loud, frightening scream is heard, and the lights go dark. All was silenced until the voice of Ghost Host spoken.
"Oh, I didn't mean to frighten you prematurely. The real chills come later. Now, as they say, "look alive," and we'll continue our little tour. And let's all stay together, please."
Then the lights turned on as the door opens allowing some guests to enter through the hallway. They walked slowly where it shows some paintings hanging on wall transforming from normal to creepy. They looked at the windows where it rains. They looked up a head where they see two statue heads are moving themselves making Candace shivered for their presence. Later on, another door from the stretch room open where Heinz, Vanessa, and all other guests are trailing behind Perry quietly sneaking in with his fedora.
"There are several prominent ghosts who have retired here from creepy old crypts all over the world. Actually, we have 999 happy haunts here — but there's room for 1,000. Any volunteers? (Laughs.) If you insist on lagging behind, you may not need to volunteer.
And now, a carriage approaches to take you into the boundless realm of the supernatural. Take your loved ones by the hand, please, and kindly watch your step. Oh yes, and no flash pictures, please. We spirits are frightfully sensitive to bright lights."
"Uh, Vanessa? Maybe we should find an exit." Doofenshmirtz suggested nervously.
"What's the matter? Afraid of the dark?" joked Vanessa.
"Hey! I'm not afraid of anything!"
"Really? Since when?" Vanessa asked raising her left eyebrow.
"Uh, I don't know?"
They have entered the loading area where most of Doom Buggy came in as the guests got in one by one. Phineas and Isabella got in first, then Ferb and Gretchen got in next, then Adyson and Ginger got in for third, Milly, Holly, and Katie got in altogether, then Candace is with Lawrence while Linda is with Vivian. Then finally, Vanessa and her dad got in, but they took no noticed when Perry got in to the Doom Buggy all by himself. Suddenly, the lap bar closed by itself.
"Do not pull down on the safety bar, please. I will lower it for you. And heed this warning: the spirits will materialize only if you remain safely seated with your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside. And watch your children, please."
"Phineas, I'm scared." said Isabella shaking a bit.
"Don't worry Isabella, I got you." said Phineas comforting his friend as he holds hands while Isabella is blushing. They have entered the Corridor of Doors.
"We find it delightfully unlivable here in this ghostly retreat. Every room has wall-to-wall creeps, and hot and cold running chills. Shhh, listen."
The kids heard some door knobs twisting, but it was locked, clanking, or banging. Candace felt a little bit scared. Then they see a man in a coffin screaming.
"Let me out, let me out of here!"
Doofenshmirtz cringed his eyes while Vanessa was satisfied.
"Poor fella. I hope he's okay." said Doofenshmirtz.
Later on, they have entered a room where it shows Madame Leota inside the orb at the table while some stuffs and instrumental are floating everywhere as she's speaking out loud.
"Serpents and spiders, tail of a rat, call in the spirits, wherever they're at!"
Candace was curious when she's staring at Madame Leota telling a fortune. Then she took a picture on her phone without flashing lights.
"Rap on a table — it's time to respond. Send us a message from somewhere beyond…"
Then they entered the ball room where ghosts are at the table dining themselves and more ghosts are dancing while the pianist ghost is playing an organ with its theme song. Then they heard a ghost host voice.
"The happy haunts have received your sympathetic vibrations and are beginning to materialize. They're assembling for a swinging wake, and they'll be expecting me… I'll see you all a little later."
Later on, the Doom Buggy takes some guests into the attic where most stuffs are everywhere, including paintings, clothes, brief cases, books, and artifacts that were covered some webs. Then they see the Ghost Bride standing there speaking to anyone.
"In sickness and in… wealth. You may now kiss the bride. We'll live happily ever after. Till death do us part. Here comes the bride. As long as we both shall live. For better or for… worse. I do. I did."
Doofenshmirtz gulped. Then the Doom Buggy took them outside descend down to a graveyard full of ghosts as they sing along.
(Grim Grinning Ghost - Haunted Mansion)
When the crypt doors creak, and the tombstones quake
Spooks come out for a swinging wake
Happy haunts materialize
And begin to vocalize
Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize
(Then they passed by a caretaker man with his dog shivering while holding his lantern frightfully. Isabella is holding onto Phineas hands shivering and so does Gretchen hold on into Ferb.)
Now don't close your eyes and don't try to hide
Or a silly spook may sit by your side
Shrouded in a daft disguise
They pretend to terrorize
Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize
(Then they passed by some more ghosts as they sing while some other ghosts jumped scare behind the tombstone at Candace as she screams in terror clinging on to her dad. Adyson and Ginger holding on to each other shivering.)
As the moon climbs high o'er the dead oak tree
Spooks arrive for the midnight spree
Creepy creeps with eerie eyes
Start to shriek and harmonize
Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize
(Later on, they passed a band of musicians is playing, a quintet is singing, and many other spooks are enjoying the "swinging wake". A skeletal wolf can be seen in the background, howling into the sky. They also passed by five statue heads as they sing.)
When you hear the knell of a requiem bell
Weird glows gleam where spirits dwell
Restless bones etherealize
Rise as spooks of every size
Mwahahahahahahahaha!
Doofensmirtz started to scream while Vanessa was laughing at that part where he was embarrassing himself. Perry was scared a bit, but then he felt something when he looked at the ghost dog panting smiling at the platypus, leaving him confused. Then they heard a voice of ghost host.
"Ah, there you are! And just in time… there's a little matter I forgot to mention...beware of hitchhiking ghosts!"
He laughs evilly as the Hitchhiking Ghosts, known as Ezra, Phineas (not Phineas Flynn), and Gus are giving them a thumbs up that way on their left smiling. This started to shiver Candace when her teethes chattering. Then they passed some mirrors where Hitchhiking Ghosts are sitting in the middle of Doom Buggys one by one. First, Phineas, one of the hitch-hiking ghosts was sitting between Phineas (the boy) and Isabella startling them both, but Phineas was surprised for a ghost appearances.
"Woah! Wicked!" Phineas awed.
Second, when Ezra has appeared in the middle between Candace and her dad when she freaked out. And finally, Gus has appeared in between Heinz and Vanessa when he waved his hand.
"What's up?" Vanessa greeted the ghost.
Then the hitchhiking ghosts disappeared when the ride was coming to an end. The lap bar opened by itself while the ghost host is speaking.
"They have selected you to fill our quota, and they'll haunt you until you return! Now I will raise the safety bar, and a ghost will follow you home!"
Once the ghost host is laughing, Candace quickly got out from the Doom Buggy when she ran quickly as she heads for an exit.
"I'M OUTTA HERE!" Candace panicked.
The kids and their parents were confused and shrugged off as they went to an exit as the music slowly playing.
If you would like to join a jamboree
There's a simple rule that's compulsory
Mortals pay a token fee
Rest in peace, the haunting's free
So hurry back, we would like your company
Doofenshmirtz is shaking while his daughter is comforting him as Vanessa is concerned.
"You okay, dad? You seemed scared, have you?" Vanessa asked.
"What? Me? No! Of course not! Why would I?" Heinz denied.
"Okay, just wanted to make sure. Let's go."
While they went upstairs by escalator, Perry followed them quietly, but then he saw the Ghost Bride standing there speaking to Perry.
"Hurry back...hurry back...be sure to bring your death certificate. If you decide to join us, make final arrangements now. We've been...dying...to have you."
Perry shivered as the Ghost Bride chuckled darkly. He quickly fled the scene once he reached the exit and he'll remind himself that he would never go on a ride again.
Well folks, it appears that I still need to come up with the ideas for few more chapters, but already know that I might made the next chapter. Stay tune for the next chapter.
