Phineas and Ferb: Disneyland Vacation

Chapter 5: Critter Country

Later on, where most people were standing in line at Splash Mountain ready to get wet. The Flynn-Fletchers and the Fireside Girls are in the line waiting to be on board as they arrived at the loading area. Candace was feeling better after her encounter from the Haunted Mansion.

"Alright, lads, we're splitting into two groups. Vivian will take the girls first and the rest of us will go next." said Lawrence.

"Sounds good to me." said Vivian as she agrees.

"I guess I'll see you later then." said Isabella.

"Don't worry Isabella, we'll right behind you." replied Phineas.

Once some guests went onboard, the log flows away when few more arrives. Isabella, Vivian, and the Fireside Girls first went onboard and sat down on the log. The Flynn-Fletchers goes second as they went onboard and sat down on the log behind them.

By then, they felt that the logs move forward as the log goes first carrying Isabella, her mother, and the Fireside Girls flowing away. In about 10 seconds, The Flynn-Fletchers on the log flows away next as they heard an announcer.

"For your safety, please stay seated with your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the log. And be sure to watch your kids! Have a zip-a-dee-doo-dah ride!"

They were going up on the first lift until they float gently through the river. They can see a boat, Sailing Ship Columbia sailing on Rivers of America. They looked right when the passengers on the log slide down from the tunnel with dead tree on top screaming with a splash.

"Wait, is this the part where we get wet?" Candace asked.

"Yep." Phineas answered.

Then they went to the second lift ascends two conveyor-type lifts before floating gently through scenery designed to evoke the feeling of a river. The homes of the three main characters and aged farm equipment are incorporated into the landscape, along with an instrumental version of "How Do You Do?" emanating from hidden speakers along the waterway.

"Look how peaceful it is." said Lawrence sightseeing.

"It sure is, dear." said Linda.

"Hey! I can see Space Mountain from here!" said Phineas pointing at the view.

"Wow! Look at the view." said Candace.

Before the logs enter the indoor portion, snoring is heard emanating from the bear's cave. Cut to the first group for Fireside Girls, they were about to drop as they slide down to the tunnel.

"Get ready girls! All hands on deck!" Isabella announced.

All the girls were cheering as they slide down while Vivian was laughing when most water splash feeling that they got wet a little. Isabella and the Fireside Girls were laughing before they entered inside. Back to the Flynn-Fletchers, they were about to enter as well.

"Here we go, kids!" said Lawrence.

The log slide down on a short drop-down "Slippin' Falls" where they got a little wet on legs. Phineas and Candace were laughing as they enter the indoor portion of the attraction, where various Audio-Animatronic animals, such as geese, frogs, alligators, and opossums sing the attraction's first musical number as they sing "How Do You Do?".

"How do you do?" Mighty pleasant greetin'.

"How do you do?" Say it when you're meetin'.

"How do you do?" With every one repeatin'

"Pretty good, sure as you're born." (Howdy!)

They moved their heads around as they look left where an animatronic Br'er Fox is holding the rope pulling an animatronic Br'er Bear tied on his bottom to take a bath. Then they see an animatronic Br'er Rabbit seen outside his briar patch tells Br'er Turtle that he is leaving home in search of his Laughin' Place.

Br'er Rabbit: I'm lookin' for a little more adventure.

Br'er Turtle: He's headin' for a little bit of fun now.

Br'er Rabbit: I'm hopin' for a little more excitement.

Br'er Rabbit and Turtle: Time to be movin' along!

Br'er Rabbit: I've had enough of this ol' briar patch.

Br'er Turtle: He thinks an adventure's about to hatch.

He's movin' on,

Br'er Rabbit: Say goodbye to me.

Down at the Laughin' Place is where I'll be!

Then they slide on a small drop as they turn right. The Fireside Girls saw Br'er Bear's bottom as they laughed until they were slide down with a little scream with joy. The Flynn-Fletcers were laughing as they noticed that the bear's bottom was showing making Candace snickers.

"This is so weird." Candace chuckled.

Then the log slide down screaming as the water splash. They were laughing as they got a little more wet on their seats. Br'er Bear follows him, ending up being attacked by bees as Br'er Rabbit laughs at his misfortunes in the surreal Rainbow Caverns, where characters sing "Everybody's Got A Laughing Place".

Everybody's got a Laughing Place,

A Laughing Place to go-ho-ho.

Take your frown, turn it upside-down,

And you'll find yours we know-ho-ho!

"Oh man! This is definitely weird!" Candace laughs.

Later on, they see Br'er Fox manages to trap Br'er Rabbit in a beehive.

"I bet you wish you'd never been born, huh, Br'er Rabbit? Well, you mine! You mine (Laughs)! And you'll not be gettin' away this time!"

"Ohhh, what are you doin', Br'er Fox? Let me go!"

"Say, Br'er Rabbit, how 'bout I take you to my Laughin' Place (Laugh)? 'Cept I don't expect you'll be doin' much laughin' (Laughs)!"

"Ohh, where you takin' me, Br'er Fox? Let me go"

The mood turns ominous as a mother porcupine and rabbit sing the "Burrows Lament" to their respective children. The Fireside Girls on the log first begin climbing up the final and longer conveyor lift belt, passing beneath two vultures that taunt guests and tell of foreboding danger.

"So, you're looking for a Laughing Place, eh?"

"We'll show you a Laughing Place."

The Flynn-Fletchers on the log begin climbing up the final following the log where the girls are. Candace started to get nervous when somethings are about to happen.

"I have bad feeling about this." said Candace nervously.

Isabella, her mother, and the Fireside Girls turn their heads left shortly before the attraction's climactic drop, Br'er Rabbit is seen alongside the hill, about to be eaten by Br'er Fox as shadow.

"Well, Br'er Rabbit, I expect I'll just have to skin ya!"

"Go ahead, Br'er Fox, skin me if you like. Please don't fling me in that briar patch!"

"Hold on! We're about to get wet!" Isabella hollers.

The girls and her mother were screaming as the log slide down to the big drop with a big splash while camera was taken. Phineas and Ferb heard the screams knowing that their friends were on the log.

"Well, this is it. We're about to get wet." said Phineas.

"Wait, WHAT?!" Candace exclaimed.

"Well, now, Br'er Rabbit, maybe I'll just have to roast ya!"

"Yessir, Br'er Fox. But whatever you do, please don't fling me in that briar patch!"

"Here we go!" Phineas hollers.

The log slides down on the final drop as Phineas and his parents were cheering while Candace was screaming except Ferb that he was all calm and silent raising his arms high as the camera flash and then they made a huge splash as they got a little wet, but Candace was all wet much to her unlucky while her parents were laughing.

"Oh Candace, you're wet." said Linda noticing.

"WOO! That was awesome!" Phineas cheers.

"Aw, phooey." Candace muttered.

"It's alright, darling. We'll get you all dried up in no time." said Lawrence comforting.

The log flows where it shows Isabella and the Fireside Girls were laughing when they got wet while the music, "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" is playing with instruments.

"That was fun!" Milly giggles.

"Yeah! Let's go again!" said Ginger smiling.

"No uh, I am not getting wet again." said Adyson joking.

"Now we can earn "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Patch" once we exit the ride." said Isabella.

"Loud and clear." said Holly.

An indoor segment follows the drop, after which the logs make a final entry into a section of the mountain named "Doo-Dah Landing", where a full cast of Audio-Animatronic figures such as geese, frogs, alligators, and racoons were singing.

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay!

My oh my, what a wonderful day!

Welcoming back Br'er Rabbit today.

We always knew that he'd get away!

He's had enough of movin' on now.

It's where he's born and bred in.

The briar patch is where he's headin'!

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay!

Wonderful feeling, wonderful day!

The Flynn-Fletchers on the log flows behind as they were smiling at the scene.

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay!

My oh my, what a wonderful day!

Plenty of sunshine heading our way.

We never doubted he'd get away!

Moving on taught him a lesson.

You've learned it well, Br'er Rabbit.

Gettin' caught's a nasty habit.

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay!

Wonderful feeling, feeling this way!

Then they turned their head at Br'er Bear stuck inside while Br'er Fox was holding on to the bears blue coat when his tail was bitten by Br'er Gator and then the final scene where it shows Br'er Rabbit is laying happily at home singing.

Finally, they have returned to the loading area where people got off. Flynn-Fletchers and the Fireside Girls got off from the logs as they exit when kids laugh while Candace walks slowly when her clothes were wet followed by her parents and Isabella's mother.

"You feeling alright?" Linda asked.

"Yeah, my clothes were wet, but at least I got the music stuck inside of my head." replied Candace softly.

"Well, at least you're having fun."

"Yeah, mom. It was totally fun."

"Now, let's go buy our photo drops." Lawrence suggested.

"That sounds lovely." Linda agrees.

Once Candace and the adults left, more logs have arrived when Vanessa and her dad were riding once they got a little wet, but Doofenshmirtz was indeed a bit wet along with Br'er Rabbit sitting in the front while Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear are sitting in the back. The main characters must've joined them when riding Splash Mountain.

"Okay, is it getting weird when these characters are riding with us?" Doofenshmirtz asked.

"Yes, yes they are." replied Vanessa.

Both Doofenshmirtzs got off the log as they walk towards exit while Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear were just shrugged. Perry pops his head out as he jumps off from an empty log as he follows them quietly.

From the outside of the ride as they are in Critter Country, Linda and Lawrence bought the photo drop while Vivian bought one for the girls. The photo that Vivian is holding where it shows her in the back row while the Fireside Girls are in each rows including Gretchen goes up in front row.

Another photo that Linda is hold where it shows Phineas sitting in the front row cheering, Ferb is sitting behind his stepbrother, then Candace in the middle screaming, Linda is in the fourth row, and Lawrence is at the very back row.

"This is perfect!" said Linda.

"Look at us. All smiling together." Lawrence added.

"Oh great. I look embarrass." Candace commented.

"You look great, Candace. It doesn't have to be this perfect." said Phineas.

"Uh-huh. Sure. I need to dry myself off."

Candace walked over to the drying station where most guests dried themselves off. It only took 10 seconds to dry herself off while the others are having their discussion. To be unnoticed, a stuffed donkey is sitting next to the drying station where Candace stood.

"Hey, Eeyore." Candace greeted gloomily.

"Thanks for noticing." said Eeyore gloomily.

"So, Ferb, what else are we going to ride today?" Phineas asked.

Ferb point his finger on the map that he pulled out. Phineas overlooked at the map.

"Hey mom, should we try riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad?"

"That's sounds like fun. What do you think dear?" said Linda.

"Well, I suppose taking a train won't hurt a bit." said Lawrence.

"Alright then, Big Thunder Mountain it is and after that, we're having lunch for a break."

"Sounds fair." Phineas agrees.

"C'mon Candace, time to go." Linda calls.

"Coming!" Candace got off from the pad leaving Eeyore behind.

Once Candace rejoins her family as they left to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad along with the Fireside Girls. Vanessa and her dad were standing in line to get the photo drop from Splash Mountain. Heinz looked at the photo of him along with his daughter, Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox, Br'er Bear sitting on the log.

"Oh, come on! My eyes were shut!" said Heinz as he complained.

"It's alright, dad. It doesn't have to be perfect. Although it's kinda weird sitting with those three." said Vanessa.

"Oh sure, they're the main characters from the "Song of the South", the rarest movie that we haven't watched it."

"That's because most people have rough history."

"(gasp) Look! It's Pooh Bear!" Heinz exclaimed pointing his finger.

Vanessa turned her head where it shows Pooh and his friend, Piglet meeting with the children hugging each other as the bear giggles.

"I love warm hugs." said Pooh softly.

"Aw, I remember this one when I was a kid, but I stop watching when I grow up." said Vanessa.

"Oh, come on. You used to love the bear. Can we go on a ride and then meet & greet with him? Pretty please?"

"I don't know dad, but..."

Vanessa looked at his father's eyes showing his guilt look with a huge puppy face. Vanessa can't say no to his request. She sighed as she gives in.

"Guess this ride doesn't hurt that much."

"YIPEE!" Heinz cheers.

Her dad runs off to the entrance to "Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" ride while Vanessa shook her head gently, but smirk and walk fast to catch up with her dad. Perry pops out from the bush as he took out his binocular.

He spotted Heinz and daughter waiting in line. Perry looked at his watch as it starts beeping until it shows Monogram as a hologram.

"Agent P, we didn't realize that Doofenshmirtz is on a vacation with his daughter as it turns out that he is having a day off. You don't have to worry about that, but if anything goes wrong, please report immediately. You can take a break now and enjoy your day. Monogram out."

His watch was turned off. Perry thought of that his enemy is indeed taking a day off from taking over Tri-State Area. The platypus sighed. But suddenly, a stuffed tiger burst out and pounce on Perry as they rolled on the floor as the stuffed tiger touch his nose on Perry's beak.

"Hiya, buddy boy! I see you play hide and seek."

Perry was surprised of all sudden.

"Oh! Where are my manners. The names Tigger. T-I-Double-Guh-ER!" said Tigger introduced himself as he got off of Perry. "So, uh, what's your name?"

Perry spoke nothing because he knew most animals can't talk, but there are some animals that can talk if they're cartoon characters.

"Oh, you don't talk, huh? Well, that's okay. Not all animals can talk, like me. Allow me to demonstrate."
