chapter 9 Enter Colossus
In Russia a teenage boy was about to discover his new abilities. Piotr was running and playing with his little sister when suddenly he took a really big fall. "Piotr!" his sister yelled. She ran to get help. Their parents came along with some of the people from the little village they called home. Piotr sat up and saw the people coming down to help him.
"Piotr is that you son?" his father asked.
"Of course it's me what's wrong?" Piotr asked. Then he saw his hands they were covered in metal as was his arms and most of his body. Then the metal went away. "What is going on with me?" he asked.
Back in New York Cerbros went off. "Mutant signature detected." it said. Professor X and Magneto came into the room. "Name Piotr Rasputin age 15, location small village in Russia." it said.
"We better go find him and bring him in, he might need help with his powers," Professor X said.
"What's going on?" Logan asked coming in.
"A new mutant has been found in Russia and he might be unsure of what's happening so we better bring him in so he can train with his powers." Professor X said. "So prep the black bird." he said.
It was now spring break and all the mutants were excited to have some time off from school. Hannah and Warren noticed something along with Wanda and Kurt. "Hey what's going on?" Hannah asked.
"A new mutant has been detected in Russia and we are going to meet him," Professor X said. "You four are welcome to come along, meeting mutants around his age range might calm him down if he is feeling worried or nervous," he said.
"Then let's get ready," Kurt said.
They got into the black bird and soon saw Russia and the tiny village below where they landed. They all came out. Professor X and Magneto came out with the young mutants along with Wolverine.
Then a woman came up. "Are you Professor X and the X men?" she asked.
"Yes ma'am we are," Professor X said.
"Good I remember talking to you over the phone it's Piotr he's having a hard time dealing with what happening with him and he's a good boy it's just I never seen him so worried and scared before," the lady said she was Piotr's mother.
"Mama Piotr, he's not in his anymore he's gone," a little girl said.
"What?!" she said. "Illiana are you sure?" she asked her daughter.
"Yes he's gone," Illiana said.
"Don't worry ma'am we can help you search," Professor X said.
"I will search from the air," Warren said.
"I will ask the animals to see if they have seen him," Hannah said.
"Kurt and I will ask the villagers," Wanda said.
"Right," Kurt said.
"Got something with the boy's scent? I can sniff him out if you do," Wolverine said.
"No Wolverine you stay here with us the boy might come back and he is already feeling very scared at the moment," Professor X said.
"Yes and also I think it's best for the kids to look for him, talking to someone his age range and size might calm him down and make him feel like he's being related to instead of getting a lecture," Magneto explained.
The search started. They were looking in many places. Hannah noticed foot prints and whatever made them had to be big and heavy. So she followed them and Warren noticed and followed.
After a while they found themselves in a forest. They soon heard someone. They followed the sound of the voice and saw a teenager coated completely in metal and forcing it to become normal skin. Then it went metal to skin again.
"Piotr?" Hannah said.
Piotr turned around and saw Hannah and Warren. "Who are you two?" he asked.
"I am Hannah Maxter," Hannah said.
"I am Warren Worthington III," Warren said.
"I never seen you around her before," Piotr said.
"Mostly because we are from America, we are here with Charles Xavier to help you," Warren said.
"Oh you mean the man who called my parents?" Piotr said.
"Piotr know you are confused and scared, you just found out you are a mutant," Hannah said.
"Who are you guy's and this Charles Xavier some sort of special social workers who help everyone around the world?" Piotr asked.
"No," Hannah said. "Come here all my friends and say hi," she said. Then animals came forth from the trees and bushes. Warren spread his wings and showed them off.
"We are mutants like you," Warren said. "Charles Xavier and his fellow older mutants are helping us to learn to control our powers and use them to help others and fit in and we all know now a days mutants are more widely accepted around the world there are still a few who are prejudice to them. But we are also trying to be an example to show them mutants are the same at heart as everyone else. While others like some mutants show that you may have had a bad rep at first but you can change." he said.
"But this is also new to me," Piotr said.
"We know it is Piotr but we know if you can come with us you can be helped and you can learn control over your powers." Hannah told him.
"I sure hope so," Piotr said.
"Come with us your mother is worried about you," Warren said.
They made it back to the village and his mother was so relieved to see him. After Professor X explained everything her assured them that this could be good in the long run for Piotr.
"Well son it's your decision," Piotr's father said.
"I'm going to go," Piotr said. "After all this could be a way for me to learn to control my abilities and not worry so much about them. Plus I maybe be able to decide what I may want in the future. Because maybe I can get see what America is like and make new friends and get to work with fellow mutants and help people continue to be more understanding of them," he said.
"Very well son try to keep in touch," his parents said.
"I will," Piotr said.
Piotr packed his things and then the black bird took off for America. Piotr saw so many things and soon they had him registered to be citizen their like they do with other young mutants from other countries they bring over into America. "Welcome to New York," Professor X said.
It was Piotr's first time in America and he was wondering what there was to see. He got to meet other Mutants many were in his age range. Now many of the mutants decided to take him to see what there was to see.
They took Piotr into the city. "Whoa look at all of this," Piotr said.
"You sound like you never seen a tall build before, or been in a city before," Pietro said.
"I never been out of my little village," Piotr explained.
"Well in the big city things are a little different," Warren explained.
"Yes just be careful okay," Todd told him.
They went into the mall. There were so many shops and stuff. Piotr sure was amazed and started to look around. "What's with him?" a guy from the high school that the young mutants attended asked.
"Oh he's new to America, he used to live in a little village in Russia so it's his first time in a big city, like New York," Hannah said.
"I see well he doesn't know how to act in a city," the guy said.
"Give him a break," Fred said.
They continued to look around. "Piotr try turning it down a notch people are staring at you and that's saying something in New York," Warren told him.
"Sorry I just got a little too excited, I never been out of my little village so I guess I got carried away." Piotr said.
"It's quite alright," Hannah told him.
Piotr was looking forward to starting school in America too. Spring Break was soon going to be over and Piotr was going to be there for the first time. Once at school the next week Piotr was ready to go.
They were in homeroom. Piotr was in homeroom with Hannah and Warren. "Everyone we have a new student. His name is Piotr Rasputin, I want all of you to make him feel at home," Ms. Lotter said. "Piotr why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself," she said.
Piotr stood up and took a deep breath. "My name is Piotr Rasputin, I originally lived in a little Village in Russia." Piotr said.
"Russia?" one of the kids asked.
"It must get much colder than it does here," one of them said.
"Yes it can be pretty cold," Piotr said. "I have a little Illiana who is staying the village with mama and papa, and I go to the Xavier institute for the gifted." he said. "I am 15, and I helped my family with many of the chores on our farm, but now that I am here I am starting to learn the ways of the big city," he said.
"That's Piotr we hope you start to feel comfortable living in America and enjoy living New York city, the largest city in the USA." Ms. Lotter said.
"You talk funny," one of the boys laughed pointing at Piotr.
"What is funny about the way I talk?" Piotr asked.
"How your voice sounds," the same boy said laughing.
"Cut it out Evan stop it, it's just his accent, and you made fun of Kurt's accent and Remy's accent. It's just the ways people from other countries talk and sound, even people from different places in America can have different accents depending on the region where they are from," Hannah said. "So leave him alone," she said.
"Hannah's right Evan," Ms. Lotter said. "It's not nice to make fun of people especially for the way they talk, so if you make fun of how another person talks again you and I will have serious talk understand?" she asked.
"Yes Ms. Lotter." Evan said.
Piotr got to know some of the other students and got to go to other classes. He already know how to read and right in English which came in handy. "Hey Piotr," said one of the kids from homeroom.
"So you are from a small village in Russia?" he asked.
"Yes," Piotr answer.
It was lunch time.
"Can you speak Russian?" he asked.
"Quit fluently James," Piotr said.
"Can you say something in Russian?" James asked.
"Ty ochen' krasivyy" Piotr said.
"What does that mean?" James asked.
"I was telling you, your are very handsome, which is true any girl would be lucky to be with you," Piotr said.
"Thanks," James said.
Soon it was time to go home.
It was going to take time to adjust but Piotr was looking forward to training and learning more and be part of the X-men.
