A/N: I do not own any of the characters. They belong to Warner Brothers. Also Thank you Impatient March15 for the motivation to keep going with this.

Wakko and Dot looked at the estranged toon locked in the interrogation room. Claire stood between them and glared at the insane toon. She had yet to hear back from Bugs and Daffy about the accomplice that was missing.

"Claire can he see us?" Dot asked shaking.

Claire shook her head, "No, we can see him, but he can't see us. Why don't you two sit down it could be ugly."

Wakko nodded, "Alright, but will we get answers?"

"I hope so" the girl responded.

Lately Claire had not been feeling well, and figured that the toonitis had set back in. She vowed that she would not leave again until the three Warner's were reunited once again. Her attention quickly focused on the officer that walked into the room. Wakko and Dot watched intently at the officer that would hopefully get them answers.

"Now we know you did it" The officer started.

Buddy growled, "Those kids ruined my career! I have no remorse for what I've done! Though you'll never find my accomplice. They're the one who set the bomb."

"We're tracking them as you speak. Also I have reports saying you've shot and threatened the younger Warner's is this true?"

"To an extent" Buddy replied matter of factly.

Meanwhile in the room Dot and Wakko watched in anguish as questions were given answers. On a few occasions Dot would have to leave the room to let out a few tears. Wakko just stood there in silence remembering that he wouldn't kill Buddy, but let the justice system do its work. Claire had reminded him that Yakko would never have wanted him to stoop down to that level.

Claire felt her phone go off, "Hello?"

"Hey what's up, Doc?" A familiar voice asked.

"Bugs! Did you find him?!"

"We sure did, wasn't too hard he was directing a movie"

"A despicable one at that!" Daffy could be heard in the background.

Claire laughed a little, "Well what's your ETA? They're just finishing up with Buddy now."

"In eh about 20 minutes or so, we'll keep you updated how's that?"

"Fair enough" Claire responded and hung up.

Wakko's face lit up, "They caught him!?"

"Yep they did, they'll be here in about 20 minutes, or at least that's what Bugs has told me"

"I knew he'd come through!" Dot smiled.

For once the Warner's had found a little bit of closure to what was bothering them. Buddy had confessed to being part of it, now hopefully they could get his partner to crack just as easily. The two talked amongst themselves as Claire excused herself. She slid into the restroom and coughed up a little blood confused on why the cure wasn't working on her.

"It's because you're still human as well" a cold voice ringed.

Claire glared at Death, "Does this mean I'll eventually?"

"That is correct. Eventually you will die due to the fact you are only 3/4th toon. Tragic isn't it?"

The young girl sighed, "You know, I've made my peace. I'll stay as long as I can until Yakko is reunited with his siblings."

"As modest as ever" the skeleton smirked, "Until the time comes, Claire"

She rolled her eyes and exited out of the bathroom and was quickly greeted by Wakko and Dot. After reassuring the two she was fine, they continued to wait for Bugs and Daffy to return with the accomplice. There was an unusual calm in the building, one that was eating away at Wakko's nerves.

"Something feels off" He started.

Dot nodded, "Maybe it's because we're finally getting closure?"

"Yeah that could be it."

Claire watched the two, "There's something you two need to know-"

"We're here!" Daffy called out.

Claire gave a mental sigh of relief, "Glad to see you two made it back. Who was our accomplice or mastermind?"

Bugs removed the bag they had over the man's head and everyone gasped, "Weed Memlo!?"

"Why!?" Wakko asked frantic for answers.

"Because you kids ruined my life, drove me insane, and caused me to lose everything I had!" Memlo snapped back.

Dot stood there and sobbed realizing that the two people who gave the Warner's their start, were also the cause of their tragedy. She was only comforted by the gentle hand of Claire on her shoulder. The girl had a cold look in her eyes, and was not going to back down easily from protecting them. After a few minutes of negotiation Memlo would be questioned tomorrow, allowing the Warner's time to make sense of things.

"Listen you two there's something I need to tell you" Claire started as they made it back to the Plotz home.

"What is it?" Wakko asked.

Both noted how sad the girl looked as she kneeled down to their level, "I'm not going to be around much longer. When the time comes the two of you may be on your own facing against those monsters, but I'll try and stay for as long as I can."

Neither of them could fully understand what she meant, "Huh?"

"The toonitis came back" Claire started, "And if we can't figure out a way to make the cure compatible with the part of me that's human I may not stand a chance."

Dot looked shocked, "You have to find a way then!"

Claire smiled softly, "I'm going to do everything I can you two. I have to leave in a few days for a hopeful solution to this problem, so I won't be here to protect you for that time being."

"We'll be alright" Wakko smiled, "You've taken care of us, but rest assured this we can do."

The three smiled bitterly and with that Claire went to pack her things, while Dot and Wakko sat there wondering on what they would do. Wakko knew in the end though it was his job to protect Dot, and get the answers they needed out of Memlo. He vowed that tomorrow he would get every ounce of information he could, somehow.
