When the museum asked for Lloyd, Kai decided to follow. While he told the ninja, Wu and Misako didn't want to hear any excuses. Apparently being sent to gather customers was more important than making sure we don't have something bad happen to one of our own.

As Lloyd goes to talk with the watch guard, Kai, in particle form, overhears the two officers questioning each other as to who called him, both answering that they didn't. This sets Kai on edge, as he watches closely. The guard leads Lloyd to another room, where he closes the door, before speaking.

"I was knocked out. When I came to, the only thing I found stolen was… something that wasn't even on display." He gestures to a crate that had been broken open. Kai, still in particles, has himself ready to reform, as his senses screamed danger. "Just an old armour breastplate they called: The Allied Armour of Azure."

"Why would the thief leave this priceless relics and take just a piece of armour?" Lloyd asks.

"I don't know. Maybe it's because, when you're in trouble, they say it's got the power to summon allies. Whether they be friends, foes, even spirits from the Cursed Realm." The guard goes and picks up a hammer. At this, Kai reforms, kicking the guard away, as Lloyd spins around in confusion.

"That is not the guard, Lloyd." Kai warns, as said guard takes off the blanket, revealing the stolen armour.

"So, Wu chose you to be the Green Ninja. Silly old man." The guard chuckles.

"That's funny. He wasn't chosen by Wu. He was Chosen by the Golden Weapons." Kai retorts, taking out his katana.

"If you have a bone to pick with me, why can't we settle it peacefully." Lloyd argues, but as the guard goes to strike Lloyd, he kicks him against a wall, knocking him out, before a spirit bursts free, releasing it's hold of the guard, before inhabiting a painting, which Lloyd smashes, much to the spirit's amusement. As he inhabits the golden Serpentine Statue, he audibly cackles.

"Your powers are nothing. You think you can hurt a ghost?" He asks in glee, before his tail is stopped, Kai holding out his hand to grasp it's invisible strings through the Null.

"He may not, but another Cursed being can." Kai declares, before shattering the statue with a Null enhanced punch. The spirit inhabits the sand that once held the armour, showing his form as he levitates.

"You're a ghost from the Cursed Realm." Lloyd deduces. "How did you escape?"

"When your father opened the door, he should have been more careful with what came out." The spirit answers, as the wind howls to his words.

"You control the power of Wind." Kai notes, his eyes darkening, as the Armour floats to the sand form.

"Clever. And while this armour is nice, there is something else I'm after." The spirit turns to Lloyd, before it inhabits his body, much to Kai's anger. Before he can fight back, a powerful gust of wind sends Kai through a wall, and out of the museum, knocking him out.

When Kai comes to, he immediately opens a gateway to Wu's new tea shop. As he passes through, the wind howls, as Lloyd, now possessed by a spirit, manages to take down the other three ninja with ease, as they fail to use their powers. Kai, noticing this, attempts to create a fire, but it does not succeed. He is left with only his Curse, only the Null. Before he can step forward, the other Ninja go again, using Spinjitzu, only to be sent spiraling out of control, as the Vortexes are countered by the Power of the Wind. As they are tossed around like rag-dolls, the spirit enters the shop, coming face to face with Nya and Wu. Concerned for his sister, Kai uses his gateways to get her away, bringing her to his side, much to her irritation.

"Why did you do that?" She asks.

"Because the most you will do, is damage Lloyd's body. You can do nothing to a ghost right now." Kai answers, feeling as his sister's anger and rage rolls like tidal waves, noticing her once dormant powers with interest, yet silence. As the spirit closes the door, blocking Wu from his pupils, Kai once more uses his gateway, entering the shop, and stopping the spirit from obtaining Wu's staff. "You didn't finish your fight with me." Kai warns, as Null Energy forms over his hands, allowing him to chain the spirit down, allowing Wu to escape, leading the ninja to the barn, while Kai holds the spirit back. Once the Bounty is in the air, Kai removes the chains, allowing for the spirit to manhandle him.

"Foolish, cursed ninja. You should not have stayed." He mocks.

"I promised to take care of Lloyd. You won't stop me from doing so." Kai smirks, sending Null Energy into Lloyd, who began to absorb it, giving him strength to fight against the spirit, only to be blown away with the wind, and the anchor catches him, bringing him on deck.

The Bounty shudders, before it is pulled back, as the spirit uses his control of the Wind to drag them back, until Nya increases speed, activating the final booster engine to free them of the spirit's grasp. As Wu enters the bridge, all eyes are on him.

"Spill it, Sensei. What just happened back there, and what did they do to Lloyd." Jay demands. Wu sighs.

"You four were not my first pupils. There was one before you." He begins, to the shock of the other three. "Morro. The Master Of Wind." The radar warnings blare, as now, Morro and his Dragon, were tailing them. "Take positions." Wu orders, as the ninja each man a cannon. Each time they get a clear shot, they fire, only to miss. Kai focuses on shielding the Bounty with his Null powers, forming partial shields where the blasts of the dragon head towards.

"So, you're telling us, that you had a student before us, who's cursed spirit has possessed Lloyd, and will stop at nothing to obtain your staff?!" Jay asks incredulously in between shots.

"Morro won't stop until he gets what he's after! There's a secret message engraved on this staff. All these years, and I never knew." Wu affirms solemnly.

"Of course. Just another day in Ninjago!" Jay retorts in sarcasm. The dragon pops up alongside the Bounty, matching its speed.

"If this is as fast as the Bounty can go, we're in trouble!" Cole notes, as the dragon disperses, allowing Morro to step on deck, two cursed blades appearing in his grasp.

"Jay, Zane, take Wu to get an imprint done on that staff." Kai orders. "Cole and I will keep Morro busy." Kai draws his katana, taking a stance, as Cole does the same. They charge Morrow together, with only Kai managing to block his attacks, as Cole is sent into the mast. Without warning, Morro fires a burst of green electricity, frying the circuits of the bounty, causing it to begin a rolling descent, as Kai and Cole hold on for dear life, while Morro is able to traverse the ship. Nya fights to regain control, as Cole goes to help. Kai opens a gateway by Morro, passing through and stopping him in his tracks.

"It's fun to watch as your team falls apart. Without your beloved Green Ninja, you will be shattered!" Morro goads.

"Lloyd wasn't always what kept us together, Morro. You won't succeed." Kai warns, as the two continue to fight. The Bounty shudders, scraping a mountain, opening the hull where Kai and Morro fight. The decompression has Kai grasping onto the broken hull, lest he be thrown out. Morro chuckles, as he fires his element, attempting to take Kai down.

"You want the staff?" Wu asks, appearing out of nowhere. He then lets go of it, letting it sail down towards the mountains. Morro goes after it, diving as fast as he can before releasing his dragon. Zane goes and grabs Kai's hand, bringing him back in, as they make their way back to the bridge, they halt, as the impact alarms blare, forcing them to grab something as the Bounty crashes down.

As they meet back up, Wu shows them the imprint he managed to make. The symbols seemingly useless and not informative.

"But what does it all mean?" Jay asks the question on everyone's mind.

"My father told me long ago, that he would leave a message." Wu begins. "Leading me to his final resting place. After he passed, I looked everywhere for it, not knowing it was in my hand all this time." Wu leads them off the Bounty, into the forest they crashed within.

"You mean to tell us…" Kai trails off.

"Yes. These symbols will lead us to the tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master. Only problem is, I haven't the foggiest idea what any of them mean." Wu admits.

"Whether we know their meaning or not, we must find that tomb before Morro does." Kai notes.

"Maybe Misako can help us? She's got to know at least something." Cole offers.

"Good thinking. Pixal, release the Falcon. Have it send her our location." Zane orders, as a smaller, more compact falcon grows to normal size, as it flies off. With that done, they begin to set up camp. Zane searched the Bounty for what food he could find within. Kai found firewood, and set up the fire to cook and give warmth. Jay and Cole collected anything else that they found useful within the Bounty for them to take on their journey. As night falls, they sit around the fire, when Wu speaks up.

"Care to hear a Ghost Story?" He asks.

"If it means saving Lloyd, then of course." Zane affirms.

"Morro may have been my first pupil, but he was also my greatest regret." Wu reveals. "Before he was a cursed spirit, it wasn't I who found him, but he who found me. My brother had just gone off to train under Master Chen, which gave me time to attempt my hand at teaching.

"Morro was the perfect student. He did everything that was ever asked of him. I had shown him things he had never seen. And he showed me things too. He had a power over the wind of which I had never seen. A descendant of an Elemental Master. It was then, that I thought I had found the one. Perhaps he would wear green."

"Woah, woah, woah. Back up. You're saying Morro, the Master of Wind, was gonna be the Green Ninja?" Jay questions.

"It changed him. Didn't it." Kai states, rather than question, a knowing look on his face.

"Yes. When I told him, there was a hunger unmatched. There was an arrogance in him. I feared that I had made a terrible mistake. But it wasn't for me to decide. It was destiny. When the Golden Weapons didn't respond like they did for Lloyd later, I knew Morro wouldn't become the Chosen One.

"He became obsessed to prove me wrong. To prove destiny wrong. He became reckless. He thought he was invincible. I knew right there an then, that I could not teach those who would not listen. He told me he would find my father's tomb to prove that he was worthy. I told him it could not be found. My father had left no message. I left the gate open in hopes that he would return, but he never came back." Wu sighs. "I am saddened that he was banished to the Cursed Realm, but what worries me more is that he escaped, and for what reason. To save Lloyd and return your powers, you must find the tomb before he does, or else."

"Or else what?" Jay asks.

"Or else unspeakable power will Curse us all." Wu answers.

"It's different to most situations. This time, Lloyd is at stake." Kai notes.

"But how are we meant to compete against the Green Ninja? He's more powerful than all four of us combined!" Cole worries.

"That was even before we lost our powers." Zane adds.

"It's like Sensei said. Real power doesn't come from our hands, or from a Cursed Power. It comes from our heart." Kai assures.
