03x08 bar scene from Rio POV. Watching the episode, I noticed what a stark contrast there is between this interaction and their interactions in Seasons 1 and 2. He keeps his distance, hardly looks at her, doesn't touch her. What's he thinking?

(Brio) Beth should have known better than to think Rio wouldn't show up once he realized she took the body back. She just didn't think he cared so much about her life choices. Set in 02x11, after Beth and the girls get the body back, but before they realize it's not the body they thought it was.

Apocalypse Beth and Rio AU. It shouldn't have been a surprise that they would be two of the last ones left. They were both survivors after all. Once a week, Beth would walk. And walk and walk. She would look for other survivors, scavenge. She always made certain to make a specific stop on her way home. Rio's building.

Beth ends up at a bar on her work break and has an interesting conversation that brings up memories of a person. (Not sure if this will be a one-shot or not. Takes place in my own universe after season 2, but before season 3 and Deansie is out of the picture)

I often feel like Beth and Rio have been doing an imaginary dance with each other since the day they met. This fic is about that dance in the context of S3 so far.
