Happy Friday! Hope you enjoy this chapter. Trust the journey, sometimes love and relationship both romantic and platonic are messy, I really wanted to try something different with these characters while keeping the integrity of the movie. I still promise you a HEA for our favorite couple. Let me know what you think! I've loved everyone's opinions so far.

Tris and Zeke's first date was quiet and fun, he planned a quiet afternoon with her at Zoo Atlanta. They have fun walking, looking at the animals, feeding the giraffes. For Tris, Zeke was comfortable and familiar. Their days consisted of much of the same things they always did. They studied for finals, grabbed dinner, went to the movies.

They had officially been together a month before they make love for the first time, Tris is a little nervous but also needy. It had been too long since she had been satisfied sexually. Honestly, it had been the last time she and Tobias were together and Zeke had been serious about taking things slow; She had only been with one guy since Tobias and that was a complete disaster. She invested in a good vibrator but she was craving to be touched. They went together to get tested just to make sure they were in the clear. Tris was still on her birth control pills so they both felt comfortable going without condoms once their test results came back.

Zeke had taken her out to dinner to Pappadauex, knowing how much she loved it. He had the keys to he and Caleb's new apartment already even though they hadn't officially moved in yet. The apartment was fully furnished and Zeke had taken the time to set out candles. He connected his phone to the speaker he set up. The playlist was a sensual playlist of Musiq Soulchild, Jill Scott, H.E.R., and Jhene Aiko. Zeke gave Tris a glass of wine to sip on he had chilled in the fridge while he set up things in the bedroom and she vibed out to the music.

She smiles when he joins her on the couch and they talk and make out. Tris had assumed that time they hit the door they would strip their clothes off it but Zeke clearly had different plans. Even his kisses were slow and sensual. Tris doesn't know how much time passes but Zeke lets her grind against him as she straddles him on the couch.

"Zeke, I need you, Please" Tris moans as he moves his mouth down to her breasts slowly pulling down her bra to take one nipple in his mouth and suck gently.

"Okay," he grins stilling her hips as she pouted. He had waited so long for this moment he was going to get it right. She hops off him and he grabs her hands and walks backward leading her to his room.

"Zeke this is amazing '' Tris breathes out as she sees the stage he set in the bedroom.

"I just want to know how special you are" he whispers in her ear as he wraps his arms around her.

It's slow and seductive how they both undress, never taking their eyes off each other. Zeke was a very attentive lover, and Tris had never expected him to be as good as he was. He had one girlfriend in high school and she knew there had been a few girls at Dauntless before they started dating. Zeke was nowhere near as bad as Tobias or Uriah in that department but the way he played her body like an instrument and set the stage was nothing short of magical.

He spent time massaging Tris's legs and back, kissing and nibbling as he went. Tris noticed how Zeke made a point for them to always connect by looking at each other, if she closed her eyes or looked away, he always wanted to reconnect.

Tris lets out a gasp when he pulls her bottom half upwards as he laid on her back and her feet rested on the headboard. He put his legs over her arms basically pinning her down. Tris grinned as she looked at him as he dipped his head between her legs. In this position, Zeke propped her hips up so he could feast at his leisure.

Tris wanted to fail her arms but couldn't. All she could do was grip the sheets harder. At one point her legs were shaking and she was sure her eyes rolled back in her head. She could tell Zeke was enjoying every minute of her squirming and her cries of pleasure. When he finally released her she rolled on her side pulling her knees together.

"You okay?" He asked playfully as she tapped her on behind indicated he wanted her to roll over.

"God, Yes" Tris breathes out as she felt lower regions flutter again.

Zeke covers her hooking her legs around his arms so he could slide into her. Tris bites her lip as he does. Zeke was bigger than Tobias which had her a little nervous.

"Fuck you're so huge Zeke…"

He smiled as eased into her slowly. Once he knew she was comfortable he picked up the pace and it didn't take long for Tris to feel like she was about to fall over the edge again.

"Oh God, I'm about to…"

"No, not yet" Zeke grunts out and changes positions again, laying them down on their sides.

Tris groans, fighting to keep her orgasm off as Zeke continued his pace of moving in and out of her. Tris has lost all concept of time. When Zeke whispers in her ear to let go, her body does just that.

"Oh my God" Tris moans out, as Zeke turns her just enough so she can look in his eyes as her orgasm washes over her. It was intense and radiated over her whole body. He let's go too, pounding into her now as he releases.

When Zeke collapses on the bed he grins as he pulls her close.

"That was….fuck...I can't even talk right now…" Tris sighs as she snuggles into him and Zeke chuckles.

Tris feels herself start to doze off with Zeke lightly stroking her arm. Her eyes pop open when she hears him whisper in her ear.

"I love you, Tris"

She stays still and eventually she can tell his breathing is even and he's asleep. She panicked a bit. Did she love him? She felt like it was too soon for her to know that. She bit her lip as she continued to think. Time, she just needed so more time.

Just like the summer before Tris avoided spending the summer in Charlotte deciding to take a summer class with the excuse of wanting a lighter class load during the season. The real reason was she knew the NBA season was over and she didn't want to run into Tobias if he was home visiting. She and Caleb went home for a week for Lauren's graduation and Uriah tagged along since he was staying in Charlotte for most of the summer.

Everyone was so proud of Lauren for earning her degree in communications. She originally planned to apply for jobs in Atlanta but she had fallen in love with one of the up-and-coming investment bankers at Bank of America, Harrison Carter. Harrison and Lauren met at a Family and Friends picnic hosted by the company for all the higher execs and their families. The kids and all loved going when they were younger, as there were always sports and activities. Tris usually ended up schooling several of the sons of the other execs on the basketball court every year.

Harrison had made a great name for himself early, he was 5 years older than Lauren but he was completely smitten. Andrew and Natalie were happy with the match too. Lauren was planning on taking a job in the communications department at Bank of America after interning the summer before which pleased Andrew even more. Tris and Caleb felt out Harrison over Christmas break, and he seemed okay. Tris could tell he was head over heels for Lauren.

Natalie organized a large graduation party for Lauren in the backyard. Tris smiled and was polite to everyone even though she was nervous that she would run into Tobias. Tris could see that Andrew and Harrison were seemingly trying to lure Caleb into a summer internship for the following summer at Bank of America as they were deep in conversation on one end of the yard. She wasn't in the mood for her mother to annoy her with a lesson on hosting so she starts to make her way back inside. She turns her head when a familiar voice calls her.

"Tris honey, I'm so happy to see you, I hope you are doing okay," Evelyn says pulling Tris into a tight hug.

"Oh I've missed you Ms. Evelyn" Tris whispered. She truly did. She'd always gotten along with Tobias's mother, much more than she got along with her own mother over the years. Evelyn had helped Tris with her look always sending her fashion advice and encouraging her after a tough game. Tris hadn't known how to respond after she and Tobias ended their relationship but she always appreciated it when Evelyn reached out to her still even though it wasn't as often.

"How was your season, I've been keeping up as much as I can"

"Good, we wished we would have gone deeper into the tournament. I hate I got injured but I've been rehabbing and feel good. We'll be back next season"

"That's good. I'm going to make it to a few games next season" Evelyn promises. Tris nods, appreciative of the gestures since her own mother never made time to make her games.

"I've wanted to say this for a while, but you've been in and out of here so fast when you had a break"

"Yeah, I umm just needed a break from Charlotte," Tris says quietly lowering her eyes.

Evelyn knows that she's really talking about her son. Tobias refused to talk to her about Tris with her. When her divorce was finalized from Marcus Evelyn got the house and a very nice alimony payment. Since Tobias was 20 and playing in the NBA there wasn't anything to discuss but Evelyn had hoped that Marcus would at least try and salvage some part of his relationship with his son.

"I'm sorry for how things happened with you and Tobias, I know that I had a large part to play in that and I'd hoped he would see reason on how he took it out on you"

"Oh Ms. Evelyn I don't blame you, Tobias made his decision and I tried to make it up to him and show him how much I loved him and it just wasn't enough" Tris sighs.

"I keep hoping you two will work it out"

"We've both moved on," Tris says starting to feel emotional as she thinks about the video of him in the strip club. He wasn't her Tobias anymore and she didn't have a right to be upset about who he was with or what he did.

"Hana told me you and Zeke are together now"

"Yeah" Tris feels shy all of a sudden and she looks down at the ground. Things with Zeke were good, even though it had been a bit of a shock to their parents. Their friends not so much with everyone citing it was clear that Zeke was in love with Tris.

"He still loves you, Tris, that much I do know. He's just lost and I don't know how to get through to him. I don't know who can get through to him right now but I hope you won't completely give up on him" Tris can hear the hopeful tone in Evelyn's words.

Tris nods not sure what to do with what Evelyn just told her.

"Don't be a stranger sweetheart, you know I still care about you and I'm always here when you need anything, especially fashion advice" Evelyn promises as she places a hand on Tris's shoulder.

"Thank you, that means so much to me" Tris smiles softly.

Evelyn excuses herself to go speak to Natalie and Hana leaving Tris with her thoughts. She was with Zeke now, he was good to her, she deserved someone like Zeke, she needed someone like Zeke. She can't deny though that her feelings for Tobias were still there.

"I miss you," Tris says as she and Lauren sit at their favorite Starbucks to catch up before she heads back to Atlanta for the rest of the summer.

"I know, I thought about spending a week in Atlanta to hang out with you and Caleb"

"Oh Please, that would be so good. I hate only really getting to see you a few times a year"

"Well if you would have stayed last summer and this summer we would have had plenty of time together" Lauren chides as she raises her eyebrows before taking a sip of her latte.

"I'm taking summer classes" Tris deflects as she picks at her muffin.

"Bullshit, you are trying to avoid running into Tobias"

"Ehhhh," Tris was nervous the entire time she was home, making sure she kept the curtains closed to her window, not daring to look out to see if he was there.

"I guess I shouldn't be especially since I've moved on. It was just…. As much as we fought, It was ugly Lauren, really ugly. The things he said and did, I don't even know how I would react if I saw him" Tris says honestly.

"So you and Zeke, how is that going?" Lauren probes.

She loved Zeke, always had. Lauren and Natalie had talked about how shocked they were when Tris told Lauren that she and Zeke were together. Lauren had known Zeke was into Tris since high school but she thought as soon as Tris and Tobias started dating it would have been over. She hated Tris getting heartbroken by Tobias. Lauren had been rooting for him and she hoped he would get his shit together and make things right with her sister. She wasn't sold that Tris was going to make it long-term with Zeke. She could tell he was a distraction for her but she needed someone who was going to put her first for the time being.

"Really good, he's so sweet and thoughtful. Its been really refreshing"

"Hmmm so have you two?" Lauren grins and wiggles her eyebrows.

Tris blushes and bites her lip. They had only had their first night together right before they came to Charlotte and Tris was still shivering every time she thought about it. That part she actually very excited about getting back to Atlanta for.

"That good huh?" Lauren whispers, leaning in now curious.

"Like I can't even put into words how good" Tris grins and then sighs clenching her thighs. She wasn't lying, she had no idea she and Zeke would have that much chemistry in the bedroom.

"Damn, who would have known?" Laurens leans back impressed.

"Enough about me, what about you and Harry" Tris teases as she sing songs Harry out.

"He hates when people call him that"

"Good to know, so do you think he's going to propose soon? He and Dad seemed really chummy at your party"

Lauren grinned. "We have talked about a bit, but we haven't been together that long, but I'm open to the idea"

"Just as long as he knows that he can't have you all to himself, I'm good. Caleb and I still need our big sister"

Lauren smiles. She loved Harrison and she was glad he got along with her mother and father but she hoped he understood just how close she was to her siblings. That was never going to change.

"Sweetie, are you sure you can't stay longer?" Natalie asks as she finishes packing the lunches and snacks she made for Caleb, Tris, Uriah, and Zeke for the ride back to Atlanta. Andrew and Natalie were shocked when Lauren told her that Tris and Zeke were dating. Natalie looked at Tris, she smiled and appeared happy but it bothered her. Zeke was a fine young man, she had no complaints about him at all but she knew Tris and Tobias had something special.

"Yeah, I just want to relax before my class starts next week," Tris says absent-mindedly as she looks out the kitchen window out the yard. She kept scolding herself for thinking about him and wondering if he was at his mother's.

He sure as hell wasn't thinking about me in that strip club. I'm with Zeke now, it doesn't matter. He does matter.

"He's not here if that's what you are worried about Beatrice," Natalie says, patting Tris on the shoulder.

Tris sighs. She and Natalie didn't have many heart-to-heart talks but she could always tell when something was wrong with Tris.

"Thanks, Ma," Tris says looking down and away from the window.

"I know you usually talk to your sister about this kind of stuff but I'm here too" Natalie offers. "Zeke is a nice young man, but are you sure he's what you want?"

"Yes, Why wouldn't I, He's sweet and courteous and attentive " Tris reasons out and Natalie feels she's trying to convince herself as she says the words out loud.

"He is a nice young man, always has been, just don't give up on Tobias if that's what you want. Finding that passion that you two had is rare" Natalie advises and goes back to packing the lunches and snacks for the kids.

Tris starts to say something but sighs. Why did everyone keep telling her not to give on Tobias? He gave up on her, what was she supposed to do?

Caleb is happy to see his best friend and his sister together. He had been rooting for them since they were in high school. Part of him though worried Zeke was going to get hurt. He knew his sister, she wasn't over Tobias even though she was putting on a good front. He missed Tobias too. He and Uriah still tried to reach out to him but Tobias still had them blocked. He wished he would come to his senses. Even if he and Tris weren't together, Caleb and Uriah weren't going to give on their friendship with him.

Caleb and Zeke officially move into their shared off-campus apartment as soon as the semester was over. Both had summer internships and summer classes so it was perfect timing. It was great for Tris too because she was basically their third roommate that summer but stayed in Zeke's room with him and she didn't have to stay by herself in the dorms when everyone else went home for the summer. An added bonus was she truly had missed seeing her brother every day. Tris was going to miss her roommates over the summer but she was excited to spend more time with Caleb.

"What are you not telling me?" she asks Caleb one evening as they do the dishes after making dinner together one evening. Zeke had gone to a fraternity meeting so it was just the two of them. She had been waiting for the right moment with just the two of them to spring her question on him, hoping to catch him off guard so she could get an honest answer.

Caleb looks at her and she raises an eyebrow in return. He sighs and shakes his head. He knew with he and Tris living together again and their twin connection he wasn't going to be able to hide his secret anymore. He had been dying to tell her anyway but he wasn't sure how she was going to react.

"Well, It's not that I didn't want to tell you, I wasn't sure how you would feel about it and It wasn't all mine to tell" Caleb starts as he leans against the counter.

Tris finishes loading the last plate in the dishwasher and leans on against the opposite counter to give him her full attention.

"I'm listening"

Caleb takes a deep breath. "Well you know Susan and I decided to see other people…."

"Go on…" She and Caleb had talked about that, she actually understood where her brother was coming from. Susan had started to think that since they had only been with each other it would be good for them to experience other people. They hooked up a few times over the past year. Caleb seemed happy so she hadn't been too worried. She hated she and Susan had drifted apart but with basketball and school, she just didn't have the bandwidth to keep up with anything that wasn't in her bubble. She really only talked to Lauren because the sibling had a standing time to chat every week that they started when Lauren went off to school.

"So I've been kind of seeing someone off and on when I wasn't with Susan by the way"

"Well, who is it, do I know her?"

Tris curiously tries to run her mind over who she had seen Caleb with other than Susan in the past year or so. "Is it a guy is that why you're being weird, because you know I wouldn't care"

"It's not a guy Tris" Caleb laughs realizing his sister really had no clue. He was amazed himself he had actually pulled it off for this long. "It's Marlene"

"Mar! What when?" Tris is completely shocked. She knew Marlene had been sneaking around with someone but she wasn't sure who.

"Well, it just kind of happened, but she wasn't sure how you would feel about us being together, and then Susan and I kind of were back together in the Fall so then I didn't want to say anything if we weren't really together. Literally, no one knows, I haven't told Zeke or Uriah or even Lauren"

"You sneaky little devil!" Tris laughs pushing just hard enough so he loses his balance a little. She feels a little better that he really hadn't told anyone. "Oh my God! You're the one Mar had in her room last season before the tournament!" Tris practically screams putting all the pieces together in her mind remembers the night she and Tobias were trying to guess who Marlene was seeing.

"Yeah, that was the first time we were together, we had exchanged numbers one night when we were all hanging out one night and she took a chance and hit me up to see if I wanted to hang out hook up"

"Look at you" Tris grins. Caleb was handsome but had always been a little on the nerdy side. She remembers how Marlene thought he was cute on Move-In Day. She remembers how everyone had been so stressed out and nervous with the NCAA tournament they had all wanted to get laid that last night to take the edge off. She was pretty sure everyone on the women's and men's teams had hooked up with someone that night.

"I snuck in and sunk out a good bit this spring too." He admits and Tris shakes her head with laughter.

"So you're not mad?" Caleb ventures hopefully taking in that his sister was smiling.

"Only mad that you didn't tell me, come on Twin this me we are talking about" Caleb winces that Tris does sound a little hurt.

"I really am sorry. I've been wanting to tell you, really, please forgive me"

Caleb pulls her into a hug and she happily returns it.

"No more secrets," Tris says as she playfully squints her eyes at him.

"No more secrets, I promise" Caleb holds out his hand so they can do their handshake.

"So what's up with you and Susan now?"

"She started dating some guy from Morehouse this Spring. I haven't talked to her in a month. Sometimes I think I still love her but at the same time, I've enjoyed our time apart. You know…" Caleb stops not wanting to bring up Tris and Tobias.

Tris nods not needing him to finish his sentence. She didn't want to talk about Tobias either tonight.

"So do you really like Mar or are you two just fuck buddies?" Tris goes to grab a bottle of water out of the fridge before heading to the couch.

"I do like her, she's so different from Susan, not that there was anything wrong with her" Caleb reasons out as he flops down on the couch next to his sister.

Tris smirks as she takes a swig of her water. Clearly, Caleb was still sorting his feeling out so she just lets him talk.

"We've hung out a few times, I guess you could call them dates but she's so focused during the season I don't want to put any pressure on her. We hook up and we text back and forth or Facetime at night. But at the same time, I was kind of liking being able to be free and do my own thing, not that the golf team is anywhere near as much pressure as you are under"

Caleb sighs. Tris was glad that he at least understood the amount of pressure Tris and her team were under being one of the high-profile teams now. Marlene and Christina weren't sure if they wanted to attempt the WNBA like Tris and Lynn, sometimes they all talked about how they felt like they were carrying so much on their shoulders for the fans and their own futures.

"Do you want to be with her and you think she's not open to it? Like she's just using you to hook up?"

"I don't know, it doesn't seem like that but this spring semester is just so crazy"

"Do you want me to talk to her?"

"No, I don't think so. Don't tell her I told you, but do you know if she's seeing anyone else, maybe that's why she's not sure about me"

"I don't think she's seeing anyone else. She has a good heart Caleb, I don't think she's trying to screw you over" Tris reasons.

She thought about it and Caleb and Marlene could be good together. They were opposites but she could see how they could balance each other out. Marlene was a little daring where Caleb liked to play it safe but could be persuaded into some mischief. Caleb was still the smartest person Tris knew but he liked to have a good time. Marlene was a good basketball player but also one of the sweetest girls she had ever met.

Tris doesn't press anymore for the rest of the evening. With her own internal struggles with letting Tobias go and trying to move forward with Zeke, she knew exactly how Caleb was feeling.

That night when Caleb climbs into bed he smiles when he sees he has a text from Marlene. It had only been a month since she went back to Houston for the summer but it felt like much longer.

Marlene: What would you say if I told you that I miss you?

Caleb: I would say that miss you too...only a little bit though

Marlene: What would you say if I told you that I miss you a lot?

Caleb: Then I would definitely say I miss you a lot too

He smiles as he goes to sleep. Maybe it was time for him when the Fall semester started to make a real move to show Marlene that he really liked her.
