Yup, steamy chapter.
I don't even care anymore, I was so worried about uploading this and got so scared because some people told me it would be wrong to write steamy stuff about the Owl House because it's a kids show but I also uploaded Azura Book Club so.
Uh.
I will warn about this in the tags of course.
Also, this chapter might be problematic for some but I gotta say to that, it's based on my experiences (hah hah yes) and I don't wanna write Mary Sue characters or stories. Amity's been reprimanded to hold herself back all her life and she's not used to the freedom she's in so of course she drank too much. Of course she wants to try out new and maybe not exactly the smartest things.

Woah.
Okay, sorry, that sounds aggressive, but this discussion about what I wanna write and what I shouldn't write took a lot out of me, and basically stopped me from writing for a long while and also uh kind of made me really uncertain in what I wanna write versus what I shouldn't write so.

Sigh. You don't wanna hear about my drama xD

WARNING:
- STEAMY
- BAD CHOICES

The bar was kind of stuffy and loud, but it was calming at the same time. Knowing other people around her didn't care a damn about who she was and how she behaved. People around her had way more alcohol already and behaved poorly, way worse than she would ever be.

Maybe it was childish of her, to find comfort in the bad behavior of others, but at least she knew then that she wouldn't be reprimanded. Now that she had found the right thought for it, it was childish after all.

Humming, she leaned into Luz's embrace and enjoyed how the girl pulled her in, her hand softly squeezing around her shoulder as she was conversing animatedly with Viney across the table, while also taking a part in Eda's and Gus' discussion at the same time. But while multitasking like that, she never jostled Amity, and took care not to make her uncomfortable.

The cocktail in her hand was cool and tasted sweet, so sweet she was almost sure she could only taste the coke, but Luz had warned her that there was a significant amount of alcohol in there. She took another sip, humming and leaning into the music, the atmosphere, the freedom of finally being in a nightclub with some awesome people around her, and by the time the round of shots arrived, she felt the alcohol now definitely making her mind hazy and her face numb.

She liked the feeling, though.

The whole table cheered at the shots that looked like a golden liquid and distributed the shots around the group, everyone taking a glass. Amity had never had a shot.

She skeptically looked at the glass before furrowing her eyebrows and looking over to Luz.

Promptly, the girl tilted her head at her and a slightly amused expression snuck on her face.

"... First shot?", she asked and Amity nodded, a little embarrassed, so Luz slid a bit closer to her and took her arm back, probably to concentrate, even if Amity missed her warmth and reassurance already.

Luz leaned forward and took the two shots their friends had given them, before handing it to Amity and smiling at her.

"You can either sip it or shot it, that's your decision. If you wanna shot it, just put the glass on your lips, don't think much about it, and throw your head back. Don't try to actively swallow, the alcohol will be too strong for you at first. You'll feel the urge to choke if you do try. Just, head back and open throat, that's the easiest way to shot.", she explained and Amity grabbed the glass hesitatingly, slowly nodding.

"Just head back, okay... Okay, I can do that.", she mumbled and followed everyone as they lifted their glasses to Eda.

"A potion a day keeps the curse away!", they chanted and everyone clinked their glasses together, before putting their glasses on their lips and shotting it. Amity was a little slower, closing her eyes and trying not to think about it. It was really hard to do, though, the shot was smelling very sweet and alcoholic at the same time.

Squinting her eyes, she finally threw her head back and felt the shot running down her throat, before putting the glass down and shaking on her entire body. She was still trembling and pulling a grimace when Luz put her arm back around her and chuckled, looking at her.

"Hey, well done! You good?", she asked and Amity managed a nod, before shaking and shuddering again.

"Wow, okay. Okay. That was a new experience.", she mumbled and Eda cheered, clapping her shoulder.

"Look at that, Blight drinking like the simple folks! Try soothing your throat with some of your cocktail, that should do it.", she chuckled and Amity looked at her quizzically, rasping.

"Flush down alcohol with alcohol?", she questioned, but everyone merely nodded.

"Yeah, but you won't feel it with the Cuba libre. Just drink a little and you'll feel better.", Willow offered, making Amity grab her cocktail. The drink tasted a little sweeter now, probably because of the alcoholic shot she just had, but what they said was true. Amity did immediately feel better now that she had a little of the cocktail.

Surprised, she leaned back into Luz's embrace, smiling at her.

"Okay, better now.", she promised and Luz giggled, before engaging in a heated discussion together with Gus who was adamant that some video game was better than some others. Amity was content listening, but she had no idea what they were actually talking about.

Until Jerbo pulled her from that conversation, into her own.

"Hey, Amity, was it?", he softly tapped her elbow across Eda's lap and she looked around to him, nodding with a smile as he swapped places with his boss, to be closer to her and have a conversation in a normal volume, "Gus said you want to study in Bonesborough. That right?"

Grinning, she nodded, feeling Luz seeking around for her hand and interlacing their fingers. She supposed it was more comfortable for Luz to hold onto something, rather than letting her hand hang down like that.

"Yes, actually! I'll start studying in a month, Why?", she asked and he lit up.
"I'm actually starting to study as well!", he grinned, "Half-time studies, half-time work. I was able to coordinate a double program with Lilith and the university to become an architect. She says it'd be very useful to the company."

Her eyes lighting up, Amity leaned closer to him, but not without noticing Luz tugging on her arm. She supposed it was just a twitch, though.

"Oh, that's so cool! I'm actually studying Business Administration for my mom but I'd much rather study medicine or psychology.", she explained and Jerbo grimaced.

"Ouch, sorry to hear that. But you know, you can always change your studies in the middle of classes.", he smirked conspiratorially and Amity appreciated his mischievousness, before shaking her head.

"Haha, no, it'll be fine. I'm sure Business Administration will be interesting as well. Just because I'm intrigued by psychology or medicine right now doesn't mean I'd actually take these classes.", she chuckled, but he was out for a different goal.

"Actually, I'm gonna be moving out from home and I was hoping to get an apartment close to the university. Would you be interested in becoming my roomie?", he asked and Amity blanched at that.

She hadn't actually thought about moving out.

"Uh...", she mumbled, making Jerbo jerk back and put up his hands.

"I mean! Not a thing if you don't wanna. I just thought, you know, all my friends are still working and I know nobody but you starting to study. So I thought I'd ask, you know?", he seemed so unsure Amity's heart wanted to break.

"No, no, Jerbo, that's actually a great idea! I'd want to move out from home, and together with someone I know, I just haven't had the thought, yet.", she chuckled awkwardly, "And right now I'm not really in the clearest mind. Would you mind if I talked to you about that next week?"

That made him grin widely.

"That sounds perfect! Thank you so much!", he smiled adorably, but couldn't continue his conversation with her about his hopes in studying because Luz already pulled Amity back, tightening her grip on her hand. At that, Amity had to giggle.

"You okay?", she asked and Luz grumbled at Jerbo switching places with Eda, to be closer to Barcus who had started a conversation with him in turn now.

"Yeah.", Luz narrowed her eyes, so Amity patted her hand and shook her head.

"He was asking me to be his roomie for the semester! That would be so cool, right? I could move into the city and be a lot closer to all of you!", she considered, a big smile on her face, yet Luz's face only darkened.

"We could move in together.", she pouted at Amity and she had to giggle at that, along with Willow, who was listening in.

"You're jealous and drunk. I think moving in with Jerbo would be really cool because we're both studying.", she teased.

"I could be studying...", Luz mumbled and Amity couldn't resist, she had to press a little kiss to her jaw, the alcohol fueling her cuddliness and disabling her rational thinking or sense for consequences.

"Now you're being protective.", she reminded Luz to relax, before rolling her eyes over to Willow.

The girl in question waved her over and whispered conspiratorially.

"Luz feels responsible to keep you safe because we took you out to the nightlife tonight.", she added a wink and Amity nodded knowingly, showing finger guns at her friend.

"Got it.", she winked back, before leaning back against Luz.

"I'll talk to my parents first anyway.", she promised, which made Luz relax a little.

It didn't take long for the alcohol of the shot and her cocktail to take full effect on Amity. She was swaying on her seat by now and her entire body felt numb.

Quickly taking part in the conversations around her, she managed to integrate herself perfectly into the group and their rising alcohol level. Stories were exchanged, her parents were ridiculed and she threw a round of shots for everyone including the neighboring table because she felt like she could hug the whole world and the guy from that table had looked very kind. And probably that attractive girl down towards the bar, too.

The second shot went down like nothing and Amity knew she was in deep. And the funny thing was that she wanted to get in deeper, now that she had gotten a taste.

Luckily for her, Luz was watching over her. She had ordered her water and taken her cocktail from her, much to her disdain, but that quickly turned back to being domestic when Luz offered her the water and promised that she'd take care of her.

Amity didn't know that much about flirting, she had never really felt the urge to flirt, and when she had found a girl sweet she had mostly just ignored that feeling, mostly because she feared her status would ruin that.

But now, with her cheeks heated, her ears rushing and the alcohol ruling her judgment, she felt so flirty. And with Luz keeping her arm around her, her emotions were on overdrive.

And it seemed, the other girl wasn't exactly opposed to that. Not at all, actually. The more Amity gave her sweet smiles and sultry looks, the more the Latina seemed to be into it, returning her teasing and responding to her body language.

So much so, that, after the third or fourth shot, Amity felt like she had to explode. The anticipation was so tense and she just wanted her, her head chanting as she felt her on her shoulder and thighs, when she smelled her scent and-

It became too much very quickly. She just downed her fifth shot and had another cocktail standing in front of her (though she strongly suspected Luz had told Hooty not to put alcohol in there) and she couldn't resist her anymore.

Giving her a hopefully meaningful look, and a wink, she got up and mumbled she had to go to the toilet. Heeding Viney's warnings to check first if they had cleaned it up now, she got up, swayed, and stumbled towards the entrance where she had seen the sanitary areas when entering.

The toilets seemed all cleaned up, so she got into a stall and sat down on the closed toilet, leaning her burning forehead against the tiles next to her. If this evening was gonna continue like this, she would not exit the club still standing. For some reason, that only excited her. She had the feeling she needed this as if this was her finally breaking free of years of suppression.

Moaning, she rubbed her temples, before leaning back against the cool tiles. They smelled like disinfectant. That was good at least.

Worrying, Luz bounced on her seat and constantly looked over to the toilets, chewing her bottom lip. It wasn't that she didn't trust Amity to manage this situation, but she had told them she was a lightweight, and while Luz wasn't the heaviest drinker either, Amity had been swaying a whole lot already when going to the toilet.

Not to mention the sultry look she had shot her just before she had gotten up.

Looking back to Willow, she nodded towards the toilet with a questioning gaze, but her friend deadpanned and shook her head. She obviously wanted her to leave Amity alone.

But she had been flirty all evening already, starting in the park, and from then they had only had more alcohol, making Amity more cuddly than anyone had ever gotten with her.

Well, she was pretty much up there when she was drunk, and with a shudder, she remembered her eighteenth birthday when she had caught herself falling asleep on Willow, after kissing everyone she could find.

Amity's level, however, was a different kind of new. What if someone on the toilet took advantage of her? What if she had to throw up?

Luz's leg began bouncing and she skeptically eyed all the visitors of this bar.

Had anyone gotten up before or after Amity?

How long was she gone already? Had it been more than five minutes now?

Gus shot her a look as his leg began vibrating, too, because of her anxiety. Even Eda, despite sitting two seats away from her, felt her fidgeting and bouncing around.

"Should I look after Amity?", she finally asked into the group and Willow rolled her eyes, shaking her head.

"Leave her be, Luz. She'll be fine.", she merely answered, before turning back to her conversation with Viney, but Luz wasn't convinced.

What if someone had found out her name? What if they knew how much Amity was worth? What if she was, right now, suffocating on her-

"I'm gonna check on Amity real quick!", Luz exclaimed and jumped up before rushing towards the toilets. She barely heard the scraping of Willow's chair and the curse she sent after her, indicating she had just barely escaped her patented grip on the collar.

Reaching the toilets, Luz had to step aside to let a girl through that just came from there, but she seemed fairly sober and orderly. She wasn't a suspect, then.

Entering the toilets, Luz looked at herself in the mirror first, before turning to the stalls. The toilets were fairly small and narrow, with barely enough room for two stalls, and one was locked. Furrowing her eyebrows, Luz approached it, before knocking on the door and listening inside.

"Amity?", she asked and heard a small eep, before there was a bit of shuffling. Leaning against the door, she tried hearing what she was doing, not entirely convinced her friend had actually used the toilet, "It's Luz. Are you okay?"

The door was pushed open and Luz just barely moved out of the way, grabbing the door by reflex and opening it fully to look inside.

Amity was upright, fully clothed, and didn't look traumatized. Luz booked that as a win. She also didn't seem like she was sick or tired. Also a win. Tilting her head, Luz looked at her up and down, before speaking up again.

"Are you oka-", before she could even finish her question, Amity grabbed her collar and pulled her inside, closing the door along with her and pushing her against it. Luz heard the lock snapping in place and before she could even react, the other girl was pressing her lips against her neck, while embracing her. Luz was a little surprised, to say the least.

"A-Ami-", she tried but she felt her kissing along her collarbone and everything in her tipsy brain turned to mush immediately. Her voice died in her throat and she pulled Amity closer, a silent invitation to continue, which she more than happily followed.

She felt her lips wandering to the other side of her neck, probably leaving some lipstick marks that she had noticed her wearing, then she noticed that Amity's hands were exploring, down her sides and up again, one hand even coming to her hem and lifting her shirt, icy fingertips ghosting over the skin just over her jeans.

The cold hands brought her back to reality.

"A-Amity, stop.", she mumbled and the other girl jerked back, hiding her face in her hands.

"Oh god I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I don't know what came over me suddenly, I-", she brabbled and slurred every second word, but Luz merely grabbed her shoulders, making her sit down on the toilet seat which was closed. As Luz had thought, Amity had just needed a break.

"Hey, hey, wow, don't be sorry.", she grinned as she kneeled in front of her, chuckling as she reached up to brush a stray strand of hair out of her face and seeing her peeking through her fingers, "I uh, I very much enjoyed that."

Embarrassment crawled up both their necks and within seconds, they were both flushing deeply, Luz reaching back to rub the back of her head as she continued.

"Just, uhm, you're drunk and-... I'm drunk, too. And, well, drunk people generally give consent to stuff they wouldn't ever want to do when sober, so. I just, uh, I wanna prevent you from making a mistake."

The hands sank from Amity's face, her chin wobbling, but Luz wasn't too worried. Drunk people often cried.

"Y-You think I'm a mistake?", she shakily asked and Luz almost had to laugh. Of course, she would immediately project it on herself.

"No, absolutely not. Not for me. But, you know, just because I'm here and attracted to you, doesn't mean you have to, uh... Kiss me. Okay? I noticed you're kind of pushing your boundaries today and, uh, you don't have to work a bucket list, okay?", she explained, and Amity finally got the idea.

"Oh! Oh, no, I wasn't-", she chuckled nervously, "I actually wanted to kiss you for like, a week now. I wasn't out to test boundaries. I'm just really in love with you."

Luz had the feeling she had to drop dead on the floor when Amity realized what she had just said and slapped her hands on her mouth, staring at her with wide eyes. Luz swallowed thickly and god, how much she wanted to kiss her right now.

"Y-You're-... You like me?", she asked and Amity groaned, her eyes once again vanishing behind her hands.

"I mean... Liking is the better description, yeah... We've only known each other for a few days now and I immediately just claim I fell in love...", she sighed and shook her head in shame, "People don't fall in love that quickly, right?"

Luz shrugged at that, only now finding her composure again, her hands slipping to Amity's knees.

"I say they do.", she mumbled and Amity looked at her again, her eyebrows furrowed.

"I'm moving too fast, though, right? We've only known each other for a few days, in your work environment nonetheless. It's-... It's impossible to fall that fast for normal people. Right?"

As much as Amity wanted some reassurance to let herself slip into sweet, sweet denial, Luz wouldn't grant it to her. Softly laughing, she shook her head and grabbed one of Amity's hands falling into her lap.

"I say they do.", she repeated, this time putting more meaning into her words and Amity's blush deepened when she understood.

"You-... You like me, too?", she asked and Luz nodded, shrugging.

"I mean, I think I do? I'd like to get to know you better, and, uh... I wouldn't be opposed to a bit of dating, honestly.", she chuckled, "That is if you'd wanna date me."

"Did you just ask me out?", Amity blurted out.

Both girls laughed at the absurdity of the situation, sitting on a toilet in Eda's bar and confessing their feelings, but it felt good. Perfect, actually, even if their location was far from it.

"I mean, I guess? You started kissing me out of the blue! You started this!", she accused and Amity laughed.

"You kept your arm around me! I'm a lesbian mess, and you knew that and still, you keep physical contact!", she accused back and Luz wouldn't have it anymore. She surged up and captured Amity's lips, still kind of chuckling and giggling, but doing her best not to lose contact as Amity melted against her, both pushing against each other and fighting for their laughter to stay down, yet after a bit of time they gave up.

"Okay, tell you what.", Luz tried to be serious, furrowing her eyebrows, which just resulted in a fit of giggles from both of them. They had to calm down first before Luz could continue again, "Okay, how about this. For tonight, we stay friends, because we're both drunk and sitting on a toilet. I could imagine more romantic places."

Amity tried to be serious along with her and nodded, but her smile was dangerous.

"And tomorrow.", Luz promised, "Tomorrow I'll ask you out again, in a better place, with better smell, and less alcohol. Deal?"

The girl sitting in front of her gave her a sultry look, before catching her jaw with her hand, surprisingly suave for someone as drunk, and pulled her closer.

"Does that mean that tonight's my last chance for mistakes before not being single anymore?", she asked lowly and Luz almost felt her heart flutter at that, her eyes closing and her jaw being pulled so close she could feel Amity's breath.

"What kinda mistakes...?", she asked and Amity chuckled.

"Dumb, drunk ones, with dumb, drunk consent.", she replied pressed a short kiss to Luz's lips, "Thank god for the alcohol, I would not have been able to confess to you without it."

Luz scrunched her eyebrows.

"I would have, at some point.", she mumbled and Amity pressed another kiss to her lips.

"I would've waited for that...", with that promise, she finally, mercifully, cut off Luz's breath by kissing her again and keeping their lips locked together.

Somehow, Luz felt the thrill Amity had promised her. They'd probably be together tomorrow, but that didn't mean they couldn't be stupid today. She pulled Amity up and turned them around, now pressing the smaller girl against the stall door and tightly holding her hips, making sure she held her exactly where she wanted her. Amity moaned at that, their lips still touching, and quickly engaged back in their kiss, embracing Luz and letting her hand now wander beneath her collar on her back, her cold fingers once again sending shivers down Luz's spine. But she was glad Amity had decided to do it from the top now, that granted her less access and would prevent that she was maybe still doing something she would regret tomorrow.

Right, Amity was still drunk. Even if she claimed she was in love with Luz didn't mean she had actually given her any consent.

Groaning, Luz pulled away, annoyed by her own mind, but still knowing she had to do the right thing.

"Sorry, sorry.", she said at Amity's pout, "It's just, we're still drunk and drunk actions aren't consented to. I promise you can kiss me again tomorrow. Deal?"

The girl sighed and pressed her forehead against Luz's collarbone, slowly nodding.

"I know that you're right, no matter how annoying that is... I just, I wanna be dumb for once, and maybe even regret things. Which I don't think I will, considering I was kissing you.", she whispered and Luz pressed a kiss to her head. Checking her watch she saw that it was one in the morning anyway.

"How about we go home, anyway?", she asked, rubbing over Amity's back, "It's just after one in the morning and even if we get Monday free, we should go now, not to be completely wasted tomorrow."

Amity chuckled at that.

"I'm already completely wasted.", she promised and Luz nodded.

"I suppose you are. Come on, let's get you home.", she mumbled and they unlocked the stall so Luz could wash off Amity's lipstick in front of the mirror and Amity could fix her hair. After they deemed each other acceptable, they returned to their friends who were almost disappointed to see them both orderly and clean.

"Aw, we hoped you'd come back with a hickey, at least.", Gus pouted, earning a smack on the back of the head from Willow and missing how Luz and Amity exchanged a glance.

"Uh, no thanks.", Luz mumbled, before grabbing her jacket, "Anyway, it's time to go home. Thank you guys, for inviting us here!"

A round of disappointment was audible from the table, except for Willow who sighed in relief. Gus and she got up, grabbed their stuff, and waved at everyone, bidding them goodbye.

Actually, I'd love to know if you guys prefer unproblematic stories or if characters are allowed to do the wrong things sometimes.
