Just when Buck is considering leaving Los Angeles after the confrontation with Eddie at the grocery store, a knock at his door brings a surprise he never expected, but that he wouldn't trade for anything in the world. As family secrets unravel around Buck, he's going to need his best friend more than ever, but he's got to figure out why Eddie's holding a grudge, first.

Instead of a guardianship his family might challenge, Eddie comes up with an entirely different solution for Buck's place in Christopher's life.

It was Just another day at the firehouse, with some minor calls that some of the team would consider a waste of their time and why do they have to do it, case in point: helping a fat ginger cat out of the tree it got stuck in. The 118 team are currently watching as Eddie slowly climbs the ladder to collect the cat out of the tree.

Nothing ever remains the same, Buck knows this better than most. He just didn't realize that everything would change without him until someone from his past points out the flaws in his thinking.
