Charlie has a bit of a muffin-top. She's still slim, really, overall, but when she bares her midriff it's apparent her stomach is on the not-quite-flat side. That's never bugged Charlie in itself – the sneered judgement of the other Hellborn heirs & peers was what got to her more.

Vaggie cut herself in her past life, and the scars remain with her in the afterlife still – pale little strokes marking her forearms and her soul. She wears gloves to cover them up in public; sometimes even when she's by herself. She hates what the scars remind her of.

They're at a beach, a private property of the Magne family. Lying together on a towel, Vaggie slots between Charlie's legs, resting her head back on her girlfriend's cushy tummy. Charlie takes Vaggie's arms and tenderly brushes her fingers over the patterns of old cuts. Rusty sand gets between their toes, and their kisses taste of minty ice cream.

Later they'll go swimming in the scarlet ocean and watch the pentagram set. But now, in the moment, Charlie cherishes Vaggie's non-judgemental presence against hers, and the moth feels assured in her self-worth; and they share this comfort in slow, contented bliss.

A/N:

I think the idea that Charlie has a soft tummy & is comfortable with her own body is really neat. Wish I could be that body-positive about my own body (I get anxious about putting on any weight or having a distended stomach).

Also Vaggie hiding self-harm scars under her gloves is a theory I would be 100% on board with. Really hope we learn more about her character in the Hazbin series - I think she has the same potential to become a deep and sympathetic character as Angel Dust did with the Addict M/V.
