Chapter 13:

Exam Pressures

Things at Luna Nova had calmed down after Tomoyo and her mother left. With no more VIP's everyone went back to their old routines. The only things was it was time for exams, something no one was looking forward to.

Currently Akko and her friends were in the library studying. It started off normal enough, but when Akko was asking Yue to quiz them, Kero took over. And somehow, he turned it into a gameshow.

"Correct!" Said Kero as Amanda fist pumped for getting it right.

"Our next question is…" Started Kero as someone walked over to them.

"What are you all doing?" Asked Diana as she stopped at their table.

"Diana." Said Akko as she answered her. "It started off with Yue asking us questions, and it evolved into a game show. Want to join us?"

Diana looked at them before sighing. "I'm glad your studying, but you're being a bit to loud. I could hear you on the other side of the library." Diana told them as they looked around and saw some of the other students looking their way a little annoyed.

"Sorry." Was all Akko could say.

Diana looked at Akko with a hint of worry in her eyes.

"How is your studying going, anyway?" Diana asked her as Akko sighed.

"It's going." Was Akko's reply. Even with Kero, Yue and Ursula helping her, there were still things Akko was struggling with.

"I wish you luck then." Said Diana as she left them. Everyone else turned to Akko looking at her confused.

"What was that about?" Asked Amanda curious.

"Its about me holding the Clow Cards." Answered Akko.

"But why?" Asked Lotte not getting it.

"It's because people will hold her to a higher expectations now. If her marks are low, there will be people who could use it against her in the future." Answered Yue as this surprised the others.

They forgot at times that Akko had the Clow and Akko cards in her possession. And they never thought that Akko had more pressure on her then the other students did. They never even noticed it before, but now they could see the worry on Akko's face.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Asked Lotte with a smile.

Soon her other friends asked the same thing and Akko smiled. She made some great friends here.

"Could you explain licenses to me?" Asked Akko as it was something that confused her and her guardians.

Watching them was Rebecca as she failed to think about what Akko said when she changed her and Eriol's plans. She wanted Akko to shake the magical world and make them think about how things are going and where they could go. Not make it so Akko felt eyes on her all the time.

But the truth is she should have seen it. Back when Clow Reed had the cards people were trying all the time to find ways to get them. Luckily for him he had standing and the cunning to fight them off. But Akko had neither.

Rebecca looked down at Akko and saw her friends teaching her something. Seeing that made her smile.

'But she does have good friends.' Thought Rebecca as sometimes that was more valuable than the best knowledge or the highest standings. And with that she left to meet up with her husband. He was getting tired from the exams and asked for her help on something.

A few days later Akko was sitting on the edge of the nearby lake. She had nearly finished all of her exams. While she knew she didn't fail those exams, she also knew she didn't ace them either.

Akko then laid down on the grass as she pulled out her key and let it dangle in front of her. Her thoughts were everywhere. One part of her wondered about her future, another about the cards and her guardian's situation, and finally one part was thinking about the attacks on her and how she hadn't had one in a while.

"Akko?" Said a voice from behind Akko as she turned around and saw Diana standing there.

"What are you doing here?" Asked Diana curious.

"Thinking." Said Akko as she sat up.

"About what?" Asked Diana as she sat down next to her.

"The future." Said Akko with a sigh. "I want to use magic to bring smiles to people, but lately I'm not sure how to do that."

Hearing that Diana knew what Akko was talking about, as she felt the same way at times.

"I understand what you're saying." Diana told Akko.

"What do you mean?" Asked Akko.

Diana sat there as she wondered if she should tell Akko or not. But in the end, she chose to tell her as it might affect her in the future.

"I want to bring back my family's name." Said Diana as Akko got confused.

"What do you mean by that?" Asked Akko as everyone in school knew she was a Cavendish.

Diana took a breath as this was a bit sensitive to her, but she knew she could trust Akko.

"With the decline of magic my family has lost some of its standings. And after my aunt took control of the family it has only gone down since. I want to bring the Cavendish name back to its former glory." Explained Diana as Akko didn't know any of this. It made her wonder if Kero or Yue knew this and if not, and how would they react to it.

That was when Akko thought of something. "But what about your parents?" Asked Akko as she wondered if they felt the same way.

But instead of answering Diana only lowered her head as her hair covered her eyes. Akko's eyes then went wide as she realized why her parents didn't do anything.

"I'm sorry." Said Akko as she pulled Diana in for a hug. Diana didn't say anything as she accepted the hug, as it hurt thinking about her late parents.

"Thank you, Akko." Said Diana she was happy Akko comforted her.

"No problem, Diana." Said Akko with a warm smile as Diana smiled back.

"So…" Started Akko. "The reason you do so well in school is to bring honor back to your family name?"

"Yeah." Admitted Diana as she wanted to bring the honor that the Cavendish name once held.

"But once I do that, I'm not sure what I'll do." Admitted Diana as she never thought that far ahead.

"You mean you don't have everything planned for the future." Said Akko in mock surprise.

"Contrary to what some might think I'm not prefect." Said Diana with a giggle as the two laughed a bit as they talked a little more.

What the two didn't know was Kero and Yue watched and heard everything. The two were shocked to hear what had happened to the Cavendish name, but at the same time it was bound to happen, no matter how much they hated it.

"Do you think we should tell them about the law?" Asked Kero as it could help Diana.

"Maybe." Said Yue as it was an option. "But after exams."

And with that the two flew off to give the girls some privacy. But what they didn't know was that Ruby and Spinner were watching them.

"Think they'll tell the girls?" Asked Sinner as he looked at Akko and Diana talking.

"Who knows." Said Ruby as she added. "But I hope they do."

And like Kero and Yue the two flew off but made sure no one saw them.

At the same time the water level of the lake went up a little, but neither Akko nor Diana saw it as they talked.

Luna Nova courtyard

Akko stood in the middle of the school's courtyard. Above her were four shadowy figures. But beside her were Kero and Yue in their real forms, but they weren't alone. Lotte, Sucy, Amanda's team, and Diana stood beside them. But for whatever reasons she and the other girls wore white versions of their uniforms. That was when the sun and moon started to vanish, but Akko then felt someone take her hand. Akko looked over and saw Diana holding her hand as their finger intertwined.

Waking world

Akko's eyes opened fast as she shot up from her bed. Having dreams of the future was nothing new to her. What got to her was the fact she and Diana were holding hands like that when the sun and moon were vanishing.

Akko then thought about Diana. She felt the two of them were getting much closer as of late. But at the same time, she felt like Diana could do better then her. Sure she was the owner of the Clow and Akko cards, but Diana came from a famous and noble family. Akko then flopped back into bed with a sigh.

Yue watched her as he didn't need much sleep, as Kero snored next to him in his bed. Yue just chuckled at Akko as he saw Clow Reed do the same thing when he and Beatrix started to get closer.

Later that day Akko had just finished Professor's Ursula and her exam. As most of the students left the class Akko walked over to Ursula.

"Professor." Said Akko a little nervous.

"Yes Akko?" Asked Ursula curious what she wanted.

"I had the dream again." Akko told her as she added. "And it changed a bit."

Hearing that made Ursula nervous. She was having a hard time figuring out what the sun and moon disappearing meant. She wasn't sure if it was a symbolism or if and this was a big if, if it was the real sun and moon disappearing.

"What changed Akko?" Asked Ursula as she brought out a notebook and a pencil to take notes.

"It wasn't anything bad. Just beside me was Lotte, Sucy, Amanda's team and Diana. And we all were wearing white versions of our uniforms." Explained Akko as she held back her and Diana holding hands as it made her lightly blush.

"White isn't my color." Said Sucy surprising Akko as she turned around and the others were there.

"How long have you all been there?" Asked Akko surprised.

"When we saw you talking to Professor Ursula." Said Amanda as she added. "Figured something was up."

"Akko, your dream. Does it mean we're going to be with you, when whatever happens, happens?" Asked Lotte a little scared.

"Maybe." Said Akko as lied to Lotte. So far, her dreams have been 100% accurate. But seeing that Lotte was scared, Akko choose to make her feel better. Lotte let out a breath of relief as Akko's dream sounded like a final battle to her.

Diana looked at Akko as she did some research on prophetic dreams and found out that they're very accurate. And if Akko told Lotte that it may not, then she wasn't going to say anything. Afterall she would be lying if she wasn't a little scared herself.

Soon the girls headed for their next classes and their testes, as Ursula sat in her chair worried about them all. If what Akko told her is true, then all of them would be in the middle of whatever was coming. After classes were over Ursula was going to tell headmistress Holbrooke about Akko's newest dream and double down on her research.

She then looked at the stack of tests on her desk and sighed. She would do her research after she graded all theses tests. Though part of her was worried she wasn't going to find anything.

Later that day every student in Luna Nova was thrilled. They somehow survived the exams, while the teachers were dreading all the marking they had to do.

The students were relaxing a bit as it was a bit early for the school to be serving dinner. Even Diana wasn't doing anything school related as she too was relaxing.

"So, what should we do?" Asked Akko as she and her friends walked up a staircase.

"Constanze has a projector we could walk some of your captures." Suggested Amanda as Constanze gave a thumbs up.

Akko was about to say something when her eyes went wide. She sensed Clow Reed's magic and it was all around her.

"Akko what's wrong?" Asked Lotte as she and the others recognized that look.

"I…" Started Akko when they heard water running.

Confused they looked at the source and saw a water fountain gushing out water.

"What?" Said Akko confused as she was expecting more.

That was when they heard more running water and saw a wave coming their way.

"Run!" Yelled Amanda as they all ran up the stairs as fast as they could.

Once at the top of the stairs they saw more water on the floor.

"What's happening?" Asked Lotte confused and scared.

"It them again." Said Akko as she took out her necklace.

"Oh, key that hides the power of the stars, reveal your true power before me. I, Akko command you under our contract. Release!" Said Akko as her wand appeared before her.

Akko then brought out two cards and tossed them before her.

"FLY, JUMP!" Said Akko as she activated the cards. Wings appeared on Akko's back and on Amanda's feet little wings appeared.

"Akko why is JUMP on me?" Asked Amanda confused.

"We need to get everyone to safety. And I need help doing that." Said Akko as Amanda understood.

Even if Akko figured out how to stop this, who know what could happen to anyone in the water if it was high enough.

"Ok." Said Amanda as she jumped away with a large grin on her face. JUMP may not be FLY, but it was the next best thing.

"Akko, we'll help too." Said Lotte as the others nodded in agreement.

"Thanks." Said Akko as she then took off as the others headed out as well.

Meanwhile with Holbrooke and Finnelan, the two were trying to keep the water at bay, but the water was building up. And for whatever reason the doors leading outside were sealed.

"Headmistress what should we do?" Asked Finnelan as she was starting to weaken.

"I wish I knew." Admitted Holbrooke as she wished she knew whoever was doing this was. If she did, well let's just say some of it wouldn't be legal.

That was when a wave hit the two and they started to get washed away. As the two were being carried away they briefly saw under them a glow of light. Then the two were lifted in the air. Confused the two looked down and saw Kero in his real form, holding them on his back.

"Cerberus!" The two women said at the same time.

"I don't suppose this is a bad time to talk about my kitchen privileges?" Asked Kero with a grin as he flew the two women to safety.

Elsewhere Ursula was holding onto a pillar near some stairs as the current had her. But her grip slipped, and she screamed as she started to fall. But then someone grabbed her wrist pulling her up. Ursula looked up and gasped as Yue in his real form pulling her up.

"Thank you, Yue." Said Ursula as she held onto him.

"You're welcome." He told as he flew them away.

"Hurry!" Said Diana as she guided students to a higher level.

Once the last student passed her, she scanned the area to make sure there was no one else. Seeing no one Diana was about to head up the stairs when she heard something. Looking over she gasped as a desk was heading her way. Diana tried to get away, but the water level was just high enough to make running hard.

Then when the desk seemed like it was going to hit her someone scooped her up. Looking up Diana saw Akko with wings on her back. That was when she realized Akko was holding her bridal style.

"Th…Thank you Akko." Said Diana with a blush as Akko then realized why Diana stuttered.

"You're welcome." Said Akko with a blush as the two couldn't look at each other.

Soon Akko landed on a roof. The same one Kero and Yue have dropped off their passengers. At the same time Amanda landed on the roof with Hannah in her arms and Barbara on her back.

Akko, Diana, Amanda, and Hannah shared a look as the four of them were pretty much in the same position. The four mentally agreed to not talk about this as Akko and Amanda let the girls in their arms free.

"Akko!" Cried Kero and he and Yue along with the teachers they saved came running up to them.

"Are you all alright?" Asked Ursula worried.

"Yes." Said Diana as she answered for them.

They then looked at the school as they saw the lower levels completely flooded and the upper levels filling up.

"This is terrible." Said Holbrooke as she felt tears in her eyes.

"Akko, can't you do something?" Asked Amanda hoping she would say yes.

"I believe so." Said Akko as she pulled out a Clow card.

"Then why did you already?" Asked Finnelan annoyed.

"I wanted to make sure people were safe first, before I did." Answered Akko as it was true some of the students and staff had some close calls.

"She has a point." Was all Ursula said as she recalled her close call.

"Please Miss Kagari, end this." Said Holbrooke.

"Of course." Said Akko as she tossed the card before her.

"Card created by Clow, abandon your old form and reincarnate, under the name of Akko, your new master!" Said Akko as she pointed her staff at the card as the card stopped spinning and transformed. That was when the others saw it was the WATERY card.

"WATERY get rid of the water in the school!" Ordered Akko as WATERY came out of the card before diving into the school through an open window.

Everyone on the roofs hoped that WATERY could save the school. At the same moment Diana got into a position to catch Akko, but Akko stood tall.

"Diana what are you doing?" Asked Barbara as she saw Diana's stance.

"I… I was worried Akko would over do it again and was getting ready to catch her." Admitted Diana as she saw everyone looking at her.

"Don't worry Diana my magic is strong enough now." Said Akko as she added while looking somewhat away. "But thank you Diana."

Diana swore she could see a blush on Akko's face but played it off as a trick of the light.

Meanwhile in the school WATERY flew through the school as it headed for the lower levels. Once it reached its destination it started to absorb all the water into itself.

On the roofs everyone could see the water levels drop inside the school. Soon they couldn't see any water in the school. Seeing this the students and staff cheered as WATERY flew back to Akko. It then transformed back into a card as Akko relaxed.

Several hours later the teachers were having an emergency meeting after making sure the school was safe for the students. But the weird thing was that all the desks and table and such that were moved because of the flooding were put back in place. Even the piping was fine and everywhere the water came out of was fine. The most surprising thing was all the tests were ok, thankfully.

"What? Nothing was damaged?" Asked Holbrooke confused.

"Its true. Nothing was damaged. No water lines, no damaged walls." Reported Finnelan as it was hard to believe.

"Then did it happen?" Asked Rebecca curious.

That got her a few glares as she and Eriol were nowhere to be seen when this happened.

"And where we you and your husband when this happened?" Asked Finnelan as she glared at the two.

"The two of us were taking a walk off campus before I got locked down doing marking." Answered Eriol as some of the other teachers nodded as they saw the two head out and knew how much time it took marking some tests.

But Ursula had her hand to her chin in thought. "Is she being tested?" She mumbled to herself.

"What was that Ursula?" Asked Holbrooke as she somewhat heard her.

"Its just that whenever something like this happens. No one has gotten hurt, and the school has only gotten slightly damaged. It's almost like whoever doing this is testing Akko." Said Ursula as that got the teachers thinking.

The water tornados only attacked Akko. The giant teddy bear focus was Akko and the damage it caused to the school was minimal. The flooding was like it never happened. But all were focused on Akko.

Holbrooke sat there and thought about it further. If it wasn't for these attacks no one here other, then Akko would know she had the Clow cards. While she knew Akko wasn't reasonable for this, she was too kind for that, the thought of expelling did crossed her mind. But she wouldn't do that. Akko was just as much a victim as the rest of them.

As the other teachers thought and talked about what Ursula said no one say saw Eriol and Rebecca share a quick look as they were impressed Ursula caught onto them like that. They now wondered if they'll share their theory with Akko and how they should proceed.

I hoped you all enjoyed this Chapter. I now need to be real with everyone. I've been thinking of dropping this story. My writing for this story isn't what it used to be. But that is due to me thinking people aren't enjoying it. If I get at least five people saying they want me to continue by the end of May I will. But let me be clear on this NO GUEST REVIEWS. I will not count them as for all I know they're the same person.
