Chapter 14: The Attic is a Dungeon?

Lucas approached the bathroom doors following the show. Though he had missed the initial show, he had at least made it to the encore. Which, in of itself, was still a great show to begin with. The DCMC band was a spectacular performance of Rock and Roll as it was described by Tomas, who had come in after Lucas holding onto a funny smelling drink.

Lucas had picked up a pamphlet, and, following Wess' cautionary advice, had also picked up a lot of DCMC merchandise, such as a hat, shirt, and even a ring for his finger.

In addition, he picked up some greasy burgers, not quite what the home cooked donuts and other meals from Flint, but if he was away from home, it'd have to do.

Shaking his head, he thought about the concert, there was no doubt about it, that crooked leg, thin fingers, a stubbled face, it had to be Duster, one hundred percent. Though, Lucky, as he was going by, did have a wig, not the short brown hair. He was also wearing some weird, blue-winged shoes that looked...almost mystical.

("Woof, Master Lucas!") Boney barked.

Lucas shook his head once again and looked at Kumatora, still wearing her weird little disguise that he almost guaranteed she hated waiting.

"Damn bastards." Kumatora muttered, pulling the hem of her short pink skirt down. "If I had 50 DP for everytime one of those bitchass men grabbed my ass when I tried to serve them." she looked at Lucas, who was already giving her a frown, before stopping herself.

"Er...anyway," she continued. "Follow me, through this tunnel." she led him through a cavern Tunnel that...was very odd to have at the underfloor of a building near some bathrooms, but okay. Lucas and Boney climbed up the ladder after her, and found themselves in very fancy looking room, complete with a bathroom and makeup table, and...very...questionable magazines that seemed to be telling Kumatora how to dress here.

"I'm gonna kick that damn prophet's ass." Kumatora growled as she shoved the Magazines into a drawer and out of Lucas' sight.

"So...how long have you been here?" Lucas asked.

"About...a year or so." Kumatora replied, she didn't bother to undo her short ponytail or remove the makeup. "I've been here trying to convince Duster...Er...Lucky, to remember his life. Unfortunately, the DCMC is sponsored by whoever the hell Fassad's leader is, so I have to lay low most of the time."

"Well, maybe I can help." Lucas said.

("Yes, maybe with the two of you, Duster can be convinced that he is who he really is.") Boney barked.

"It's worth a shot." Kumatora replied, rubbing the back of her head. "But...without a VIP Pass, I can't exactly take you back to the little room with all those band members. Only four people hold that pass, but I've sure as hell never seen them."

Lucas nodded his head. "Well...how do I get there?"

"You can go up through the attic, there's a big maze up there...sort of like a dungeon. But...you should be fine, only a couple of spiders and rats up there. You'll come across a holed opening to their room. You and Boney should go on and do it. But first...you need to take a shower, you both reek of sweat and grime."

"Is that really necessa-"

"JUST TAKE THE DAMN SHOWER!" Kumatora shouted, pointing at the door.

Lucas nodded his head and motioned for Boney to follow.

Lucas climbed up a ladder and walked through the attic. It sure as hell was a dungeon. There was a maze everywhere and everything looked exactly the same.

("This place sucks, but at least there are not any hybrid spiders or mice.") Boney whimpered. Lucas only nodded his head, thankful that he felt refreshed to use PSI if necessary.

Lucas quickly smacked down an elder Mr. Batty with his stick as it tried to latch its fang into the back of his neck.

Eventually, they found their way to an open hatch, Lucas peered down and noticed the DCMC band talking to Kumatora.

"NOT SO FAST!" Lucas jolted around as a floating guitar with arms, along with a green drum with legs, and a floating electric guitar floated over to them.

"Wh-What?" Lucas sputtered.

"We are the abandoned instruments of the DCMC," the bass guitar screeched. "You will pay!"

Lucas quickly ran forward towards the bass. The bass dodged the attack and the drum performed a sixteen beat weak kick attack. Boney headbutted the electric guitar and smashed it against the wood of the wall.

The bass rotated its stringy hands and conducted a rhythm attack. The Electric Guitar and Drum both fired off blasts of Thunder.

"PSI Shield α!" Lucas called. A wall of light appeared in front of him as the electric shocks bounced off of it. "The bass guitar then head charged against him, pinning him to the wall.

"Get 'em boys!" The guitar screeched.

"Defense Up α!" Lucas felt a wave of blue light surround him, and the drum beat attack, and the electric slap of the bass electric guitar.

"Boney growled as he bit down on a Saltwater gun trigger. A Large blast of thick water washed over the three instruments, causing a lot of rust to emerge on them.

The Bass pinning to Lucas weakened, and Lucas smacked them down with his stick. The instruments all formed together, ready for another All-out-attack.

Lucas took a deep breath, he channeled the remaining amount of PSI Energy into his fingers and readied himself. A bit of blue and white light sparked from his fingertips. He felt an incredible surge of power go through him, like a less painful spark of electricity.

"PK Love α!" the boy cried. A big blast of white and blue light erupted from his fingertips, blasting the three instruments across the attic room they were in, where they smashed against the wall and broke into several pieces. Leaving a loud, almost cartoon-like sound effect in their place as their parts clunked against the ground.

("We got lucky.") Boney barked.

"Good boy." Lucas tossed him another doggy treat. How Boney was able to light rockets and fire Saltwater guns was beyond him, but that didn't matter.

He walked over to the latch opening in the roof overlooking the DCMC room. Nodded towards Boney, and jumped down.

I would once again like to apologize for making all of you wait months on end for like 1,000 word chapters all the time. But summarizing Mother 3 can be very tedious, as I want the boss battles to feel like boss battles compared to the regular battles I'll be forced to do when we interact with the Pigmasks and more chimeras.

With that being said, I do have some good news. Now that my main story, Black Dawn, A Crimson Flower is now finished. I can turn my attention to this Story now. Meaning that you may start seeing more frequent uploads on this story. I don't know if I'll be able to manage weekly uploads, as too not overwhelm you all. But I can't start making them weekly as of now, my family plans to take a vacation during the middle of the school year, so I may not be able to upload and write consistently.

With that being said, thank you all for being patient last year as I tried to keep this story relevant as I finished up Black Dawn. So I'll definitely put forth the effort to make this story the best it can be.

Also, kind of out the open, but I started playing the Miitopia demo. I never thought I'd have so much fun in an RPG where every character is a random Mii that either you create, or upload from the internet. But hey, Nintendo is Nintendo I guess.

That's all for this chapter, I hope you all enjoyed it. I'll get to work on making the next one as soon as possible.

See you all, Next time.
