I don't own Digimon and never will. I do, however, own the forms the Chosen Children have taken. Please Read and Review!

Chapter Two

Explosive Power! Unknown Power!

After Kuwagamon split the cliff's edge with its pincers, the children and their Digimon were falling to the ravine below. During that time, Kōshirō's circular piece on his back unfurled a set of translucent purple beetle wings that allowed him the ability to fly. It took Sora a couple flaps of her arm-wings before she got comfortable with just gliding down, same with Mimi who was holding Palmon while descending alongside Takeru who just got the hang of it. Taichi, on the other hand, was not having much success with his wings, not knowing how to maneuver so many wings at once. As for Jō, Yamato and the Digimon that couldn't fly, they just kept falling. Jō and Gomamon were the first to hit the water.

Marching Fishes!

"W-We're saved…" said Taichi, after landing not so gracefully on a raft of fishes that Gomamon summoned, and seeing the others were safe on it as well. "It's going to be a long time before I can actually fly with these things."

"Hey, over there!" shouted Yamato, noticing that Kuwagamon was falling down afterwards into the ravine and causing huge waves to come their way.

"Faster!" shouted Gomamon, telling his fish friends to move faster, only for the waves to send them unto a nearby stretch of land.

"Now we're finally out of danger," said Yamato, trying to get the excess water off his fur. "Yuck, now I'm going to smell like wet dog."

"What was the deal with those fishes?" said Jō, wiping the water off him.

"Those were my Marching Fishes," replied Gomamon, smiling at Jō. "I'm able to control fish at will."

"I see, so it was all thanks to you! Thank you, Pukamon," said Jō, only to stare at the Digimon's new form. "I mean, that is…"

"It's Gomamon," replied Gomamon, a white furry sea lion with long ears and purple markings on his paws, back and face. He had an orange-red mane on his head, green eyes, large black claws and a short tail like a sea otter.

"Gomamon?" said Jō, confused on the matter.

"What happened to you Tokomon?" asked Takeru, sniffing his new friend.

"I'm Patamon now," said Patamon, an orange guinea pig with a light cream underbelly, blue eyes, and bat like ear-wings.

"We've evolved," said Agumon, a short stout amber-orange skinned Tyrannosaurus Rex with green eyes, its tail being stubby.

"Evolved?" said Taichi, before remembering a certain game of his. "I think I remember that being a concept in a couple of my video games back home."

"Normally, it's when organisms in a species change to adapt better to their environment," said Kōshirō, telling a fact.

"That's right," said Tentomon, a red machine like bipedal ladybug with four arms with the first pair ending in a single grey talon, large green eyes, mouth like mandibles, and two yellow antennae reaching out from his head. Its elytra are covered in grey spines and black muscles on the face, brachium of his arms, and its thighs. "From that evolution, I changed from Motimon to Tentomon."

"I evolved from Pyocomon to Piyomon," said Piyomon, a pink bird with arm like wings. She had red claws on her wings and feet and had blue eyes. A silver metallic ring was on her left leg. Blue stripes were on her crest, on top of her head feathers and tail feathers. Her beak was red and her legs yellow.

"I evolved from Tsunomon to Gabumon," said Gabumon, a yellow skinned lizard with a bluish white pelt with navy blue markings and purple claws. A yellow horn protrudes at the top if his head and his belly is blue with unusual pink markings. He had maroon eyes.

"I evolved from Tanemon to Palmon," said Palmon, a green bipedal mandrake like Digimon with a tail and small bumps lining her back. She has large root like feet and foliage like hands with each hand having three purple tipped vine-fingers. The top of her head is adorned with a pink and yellow flower with a long yellow stamen with a red tip. She had deep green eyes.

"And I evolved from Koromon to Agumon," said Agumon, pointing to himself.

"In any case, you seem stronger than before," said Taichi, staring at Agumon. "Are you still a Digital Monster even after you're evolved?"

"Yup!" said Agumon, with a huge smile on his face. "I'm so glad to have met you, Taichi."

"Huh?" said Taichi, looking confused. "Why?"

"I haven't been able to evolve on my own," said Agumon, looking at Taichi. "I'm sure I was able to because I met you."

"Must be a condition like trade evolution and stone evolution," thought Taichi, thinking of his video game.

"Then, is it the same for you, Piyomon?" asked Sora, looking at Piyomon.

"Yes," replied Piyomon, with a smile.

"Could it be the same for everyone?" asked Kōshirō, staring back to Tentomon.

"Yes, it is!" replied Tentomon, telling a fact.

"It's all thanks to you, Mimi!" said Palmon, twirling around then facing the girl.

"But I don't even know what I did," said Mimi, with a slight pout.

"Are you able to turn back?" asked Takeru, staring at Patamon.

"Maybe not," said Patamon, not really sure about it.

"Not even in the games was that possible," thought Taichi, back to that thought process. "Once evolved, they stay evolved."

"This still doesn't make much sense to me," said Jō, arms crossed.

"It doesn't make much sense to us either," said Gomamon, staring up at Jō.

"More importantly, what are we going to do now?" said Yamato, looking at their situation.

"Make a fundoshi for Jō?" replied Mimi, staring at some leaves.

"I woke up like this," said Jō, a blush on his face. "And I'm assuming everyone else did as well?"

"Yup," agreed Taichi, holding his laugh. "Though I agree with Mimi. You really need one."

"On it," replied Mimi, grabbing some large leaves and weaving them together. "I'm too young to be seeing that."

"Let's go back to where we came from!" said Jō, a slight blush still on his face. "We should wait for the adults to come find us."

"Even if we do find the adults," said Yamato, gesturing to everyone. "How will we explain this to them?"

"Yamato has a point," said Sora, leaning against a tree. "We all gained some animalistic looks to us. And we've been swept pretty far away."

"It doesn't look easy going back up that cliff either," said Yamato, looking in that direction.

"Then what should we do?" asked Jō, closing his eyes in thought. "How about we look for a road somewhere…"

"Hey, look," said Takeru, looking up in the nearby tree. "It's my backpack. How did it get there?"

"Don't know? I can get it," said Patamon, flying up and grabbing the slightly heavy backpack. "Here you go!"

"Thanks, Patamon," said Takeru, slinging his backpack on his back.

"More to the point, where are we?" said Yamato, staring around the area. "It doesn't look like the camp site, no matter where I look."

"Here you go Jō," said Mimi, holding out the fundoshi will looking away. "Now you have some clothes!"

"Thank you!" said Jō, grabbing the leaf fundoshi and running behind a bush to put them on. "Much better!"

"He's right," replied Kōshirō, looking at the plant life. "The vegetation looks like they're from the subtropics."

"It sure does!" replied Tentomon, surprising Kōshirō.

"Eh, you know what I'm talking about!" asked Kōshirō, looking at Tentomon.

"No," replied Tentomon, only to see Kōshirō sigh.

"There should be a road that leads back up there," said Jō, coming out from behind the bush with his new leaf fundoshi on.

"Perhaps so," said Sora, agreeing with Jo. "If we go back, we might be able to find clues on why we're here."

"And maybe change back to how we should be," said Yamato, his tail swishing about. "Why do you keep staring at my tail?"

"I don't know," replied Taichi, a feeling deep within slowly surfacing.

"But aren't there more monsters like the one from before?" asked Mimi, not wanting to deal with others like Kuwagamon again.

"Yes, there are," replied Palmon, seeing Mimi cringe.

"See?" said Mimi, not liking it one bit.

"I don't want to put anyone in danger," said Yamato, not wanting to see anyone hurt.

"Are there any other humans here?" asked Taichi, looking at Agumon.

"Humans?" asked Agumon, confused on the term. "Like you?"

"Yes and No," replied Taichi, scratching the side of his head. "Think others like me and Kōshirō but without any of the animal features."

"I've never seen any," said Agumon, saying it as is. "There's nothing but Digimon here."

"Digimon?" said Taichi, before looking at the other Digimon with them. "But you sure all look different."

"You said that this is File Island, right" asked Sora, staring at Agumon.

"Is it really an island?" asked Yamato, not really believing that part.

"I've never heard of it," said Kōshirō, staring at everyone.

"This place probably isn't in Japan," said Jō, a worried look on his face.

"Anyway, let's go," said Taichi, beginning to walk down the path near the riverbank. "There's no point standing around here."

"Hey, where do you think you're going?" asked Yamato, staring at Taichi.

"I saw the ocean a while ago!" said Taichi, looking back at Yamato.

"The ocean?" asked Yamato, staring back in confusion.

"Yeah, let's go see it!" said Taichi, beginning to walk again.

"Should we go?" asked Yamato, staring at Sora.

"Yeah," replied Sora, staring back.

"In times like these, it's best to stay put and wait for the adults to save us," said Jō, arms crossed and thinking. "But that fact from earlier…"

"Jō!" shouted Gomamon, shouting back to Jō and gaining his attention. "Hurry up!"

"Hey!" shouted Jō, running to catch up with the others that walked away when he was thinking. Minutes passed as they walked down the riverbank. Jō kept staring at Gomamon who was swimming in the river.

"I've never seen trees like these," said Sora, staring at the unknown plant life near the riverbank.

"I thought they were subtropical at first, but it appears I was wrong," said Kōshirō, studying the plant life before him while walking.

"Maybe this really isn't Japan, they look really strange," said Jō, staring at the plant life then to the river, a thought in mind. "I want to swim but I'm not a good summer like my cousin Rei. So why do I feel like jumping in?"

"These Digital Monsters should have been a big tip-off that this place is strange, anyway," said Yamato, while Gabumon look at him confused.

"Digital Monsters, like, electronic monsters?" said Kōshirō, speaking his thought outright.

"You can refer to us as Digimon," said Tentomon, preferring the term better.

"You don't appear to be as electronical as your name suggests," replied Kōshirō, before a thought came to mind. "Are we part Digimon right now? Or are we still undergoing change?"

"What's that, electricity?" asked Tentomon, before producing a charge from his wings. "How's this?"

"Hey, stop that!" said Kōshirō, not wanting to be shocked.

"Patamon, you were flying before, right?" asked Takeru, looking at Patamon.

"Yeah, I can fly now," said Patamon, flapping his ear-wings to get airborne. "Look!"

"Cool!" said Takeru, only to see Patamon struggle with keeping up. "But I think it's faster if you walked."

"I'm much faster," said Piyomon, taking flight and struggling alongside Patamon with their new flight ability. "Look!"

"There's no difference," said Sora, staring at the two Digimon. "Though maybe we can collaborate with you with flying. Right, Takeru?"

"Yes," said Takeru, trying to move his wings. "I want to fly eventually too."

"Palmon, you look kind of like a plant,'" said Mimi, staring at Palmon. "You're flower smells really sweet."

"I am and thanks. I can even perform photosynthesis," said Palmon, staring back at Mimi.

"That's neat! Do it, do it!" said Mimi, before wondering. "Can I even do it?"

"Mimi, do you know what photosynthesis is?" asked Palmon, questioning the girl.

"Um, not really," replied Mimi, not even sure herself. "What is it?"

"Well, I don't really know either," said Palmon, not sure how to put it into words.

"You said there was nothing but Digimon here, right?" asked Taichi, looking back at Agumon.

"Yeah," replied Agumon, a slight nod.

"So that means Kuwagamon was a Digimon?" asked Taichi, catching himself from falling cause of the heaviness of his wings. "At least I'm starting to get the hang of walking without tripping a lot."

"Yeah," said Agumon, looking at Taichi. "You'll get the hang of those wings. You'll be flying in no time!"

"Yeah," said Taichi, internally sighing. "Don't see that happening any time soon."

"If there was a big one like him, there might be others," said Kōshirō, wondering what other Digimon there were.

"We've already said there's only Digimon here," said Tentomon, reaffirming the fact.

"I smell the ocean!" said Gabumon, smelling the air.

"And I see it!" shouted Gomamon, a big smile on his face. "It's the ocean!"

"Why am I so excited to hear that?" thought Jō, gripping the camp bag, before hearing the ringing of a telephone.

"Why is there a phone ringing in a place like this?" asked Sora, hearing it as well as everyone else. Running towards the source with Taichi tripping here and there, the children and Digimon come upon a beach with a row of telephone booths. Opening the door to one of the phone booths, the ringing suddenly stops.

"What's wrong, Taichi?" asked Agumon, staring at Taichi.

"It stopped," replied Taichi, using the phone booth to steady himself. "Walking with wings fine, running with wings so not fine."

"I can't believe there are phone booths here," said Sora, staring at the rest of the phone booths present.

"It's irrational!" said Kōshirō, telling a fact.

"But they do look like the phone booths we normally see," said Yamato, looking at the phone booths.

"They're the same as the one next to my house," said Mimi, remembering the ones back home.

"Which means?" said Jō, holding back on jumping into the ocean. "We must still be in Japan!"

"Japan?" said Gomamon, confused on what Jō said. "Jō, what's that?"

"Or maybe not," said Jō, before the urge to run towards the ocean became too strong. "Aah, I can't take it anymore! I'm diving into the ocean!"

"Whoa there!" said Yamato, him and Taichi grabbing Jō. "Looks like it's not just our appearances that changed."

"But the ocean…" said Jō, trying to get out of their grip. "It calls me!"

"How about after we see if we can contact someone first?" suggested Sora, staring at Jō. "Then you can jump in after. With Gomamon, of course."

"Deal!" said Jō, running to one of the phone booths.

"Kōshirō, lend me a ten yen coin," said Taichi, holding his hand out.

"What are you going to do?" asked Kōshirō, looking at Taichi.

"Isn't it obvious?" said Taichi, his hand still out. "I'm calling home."

"Oh, then you can use my phone card for that," said Kōshirō, taking his phone card out of his laptop bag and handing it to Taichi.

"Ah, I'm calling Mom!" said Takeru, going to one of the other phone booths.

"Me too!" said Mimi, her wings twitching as she walks over to a phone booth.

"Me too!" said Kōshirō, leaving Taichi's side and going over to a phone booth as well.

"Hey, Takeru!" said Yamato, chasing after his little brother, his tail swishing back and forth.

"That ta-tail…" thought Taichi, watching not just Yamato but Takeru's tail as well. "Seriously, what's wrong with me?"

"I'll try too," said Sora, going over to a phone booth as well.

"Hello, it's me," said Taichi, the phone receiver up to his ear after dialing his home number, only to hear gibberish.

"The time is now 35:82:90 AM," said the Phone Operator, spouting gibberish. "Beep. Beep. Beep. BEEP!"

"Huh," said Taichi, wondering why the phone is acting strange. "Wha-What the heck?"

"Tomorrow's weather will be sunny with occasional ice cream," said the Phone Operator, on Mimi's line.

"Huh?" said Mimi, wondering what's going on. "Did I dial the wrong number?"

"The number you dialed is no longer in service, calling again is pointless," said the Phone Operator, on Yamato's line.

"This is weird, Onii-chan," said Takeru, able to hear what was on the phone with hi new wolf ears.

"I'll try calling my own house," said Yamato, hanging up and trying again.

"What's wrong with this phone?" asked Kōshirō, wondering why they were only getting gibberish.

"How are things over there?" asked Tentomon, looking over at Sora's booth.

"Doesn't look like it worked," replied Piyomon, answering Tentomon.

"Currently, this phone is outside of all service areas," said the Phone Operator, on Sora's line.

"Well?" said Taichi, walking over to Sora before hearing at splash in the ocean. "Looks like Jō is done."

"Nothing," replied Sora, having a hard time just picking the phone receiver up and putting it back with her arm-wings.

"Thought so," said Taichi, watching Gomamon and Jō in the ocean's shallows. "What is with these phones?"

"Looks like Jō is having fun, somewhat," said Yamato, watching Jō attempt to swim. Everyone had left the phone booths and were now relaxing on the beach.

"He must be experiencing new instincts because of his new biology," said Kōshirō, staring at Jō. "Anyone else?"

"Currently, no," replied Sora, sitting on the beach sand.

"No matter where we call, the only thing we get is random information," said Yamato, staring at the phone booths.

"Let's give up and get a move on," said Taichi, slowly getting up.

"Wait a second," said Yamato, getting Taichi's attention. "Even if we can't call, there might be someone who'll call us. Like the one earlier."

"It's a waste of time staying here," said Taichi, just staring back at Yamato.

"It won't hurt to keep an eye out here," said Yamato, before staring at everyone. "Besides, everyone's tired!"

"We're all kind of hungry as well," said Kōshirō, his stomach growling.

"I guess. We haven't had lunch yet," said Taichi, his stomach growling as well. "All right, let's take a break!"

"Does anyone have anything to eat? All I have is this…" said Sora, only for the strange device from earlier in the day to slip out of her arm-wings when checking her fanny pack. "This is the thing that came falling from the sky."

"Oh yeah, "said Taichi, unclasping the one on his kaku obi. "I've got one too."

"Mine's on my bag," replied Mimi, gripping the bag strap.

"I have one too," said Takeru, looking at the one that he clasped to his backpack.

"Looks like everyone is holding one," said Yamato, seeing the strange devices on everyone's person.

"I wonder what these things are," said Kōshirō, looking at his before his stomach growled again. "Anyway, we were talking about food, weren't we?"

"All I have is a travel-size first aid kit," said Sora, arm-wing on her fanny pack. "It has adhesive tape, disinfectant, and some thread and needles. Right now, I can't really grasp anything in my hands, I mean wings, I mean hand-wings? I'll figure it out soon enough."

"I have this laptop, digital camera, and a cell phone," said Kōshirō, laying everything out. "But since I've come here, none of them work. I thought I still had some battery left."

"You sure brought a lot of junk to summer camp," said Taichi, looking at Kōshirō's gear.

"What about you, Taichi-san?" asked Kōshirō, staring at Taichi.

"Oh, me?" said Taichi, before grabbing his mini telescope from his kaku obi. "Just this. A mini telescope."

"I didn't bring any food either," replied Yamato, before Takeru got his attention.

"I did," said Takeru, putting down his backpack and opening it, revealing a variety of snacks. "See?"

"Candy! It looks so tasty!" said Mimi, before looking at Takeru. "But wait, you're not from our school, are you?"

"Nope. Since it's summer vacation, I came to visit my Onii-chan," said Takeru, before looking at Yamato. "Right, Onii-chan?"

"Y-Yeah," said Yamato, staring at Takeru, his tail swishing slightly.

"He calls Yamato "Onii-chan"", said Taichi, pondering their relationship.

"Maybe their cousins," said Kōshirō, wondering as well.

"Mimi-chan, what did you bring?" asked Sora, staring at Mimi's bag. "Your bag looks pretty big."

"Oh, this?" said Mimi, looking at her bag before taking stuff out. "Well, I have this solid fuel, a Swiss army knife, a compass, a flashlight, and then…"

"You're pretty prepared for survival," said Yamato, looking at her gear.

"It's been a long time since I've gone to camp, so I borrowed my dad's gear," said Mimi, with a slight giggle. "Secretly."

"You don't normally bring this stuff though," said Taichi, looking at the stuff Mimi brought.

"But they may turn out to be useful to us now," said Yamato, wondering how best to use them while here.

"That's true," said Sora, staring at everyone. "We don't know what to expect from now on."

"Yeah… your right. Anyway, looks like we won't be able to get Jō out of the water any time soon, but there's no way he could have brought food or… What the?" said Taichi, noticing Jō's bag is the emergency camp bag, near the phone booth. "He has the emergency food supply!"

"He does!" said Kōshirō, noticing the bag near the phone booths.

"Hey, Jō!" shouted Taichi, gaining the boy's attention. "You have the emergency rations!"

"Yeah, I do," said Jō, coming out of the water. "Why do I have to carry that?!"

"But that bag…" said Sora, gesturing to the bag.

"Bag?" said Jō, completely forgetting about it when he jumped into the ocean. "Oh yeah, I've been trying to hand it over to Mimi-kun!"

"He's talking about you," said Palmon, looking at Mimi.

"Me?" said Mimi, before seeing Jō walk over and grab the bag before walking her way while Gomamon stayed in the ocean.

"Mimi-kun, it was your turn to take charge of the emergency rations," said Jō, holding the hefty bag in front of her. "You need to keep a better eye on it."

"But you just left it near the phone booths to jump into the ocean," said Mimi, remembering what Jō did. "Besides, it's so heavy!"

"I know what I did was wrong," said Jō, sighing before looking at her. "But that doesn't mean you have to be selfish!"

"Now, now!" said Taichi, trying to break up the fight. "It's great just knowing that we have something to eat. Now let's have some lunch!"

"Right!" said Sora, agreeing with Taichi.

"Each group is given three day's worth of food," said Jō, everyone in a circle around him. "Since our group had six people, is…"

"Fifty four meals," said Kōshirō, doing the math quicker than Jō.

"Right!" agreed Jō, continuing on with talking. "So, if we divide that between seven people…"

"Two and a half days," said Kōshirō, calculating the math quicker than Jō.

"R-Right," said Jō, in embarrassment that Kōshirō figured it out faster.

"But since we're sharing with the Digimon, it'll be half that," said Sora, telling a fact. "The food won't last for more than a day."

"Oh yeah," said Jō, not calculating that income.

"We're fine," said Gabumon, gaining the kids attentions. "We'll find food for ourselves."

"You don't need to count us in," said Tentomon, agreeing with Gabumon.

"Is that really, okay?" asked Sora, looking at Piyomon.

"Yeah, it is," said Piyomon, looking back at Sora. "It's what we've always been doing."

"That really helps us!" said Jō, not noticing Taichi and Agumon munching on some snacks. "Okay then, this food will be for us kids."

"How is it? Taste good, Agumon?" asked Taichi, before stuffing a cookie in his mouth, a thought coming to mind while eating it. "Funny, I've had these before and they were fine. Now they just taste bad. Why?"

"Yeah," replied Agumon, munching on the cookies.

"I said it's only for us kids!" said Jō, yelling at Taichi.

"Oh relax. Don't be stingy!" said Taichi, only to stop eating when his stomach protested against the food.

"No!" shouted Jō, upset with Taichi.

"What's wrong, Piyomon?" asked Sora, noticing Piyomon looking out at the ocean alongside Yamato, Jō, and Takeru.

"Something's coming," said Piyomon, listening to the sound. Just then, a spout of water blasted out of the sand before moving over to the phone booths and destroying them, sending them into the air. The children run when the phone booths landed where they were resting.

"Wh-What is it," asked Taichi, wondering what's going on. A tornado of sand rises to reveal a horned turban shell, spinning the sand around.

"It's Shellmon!" said Tentomon, recognizing the Digimon.

"Shellmon?" said Kōshirō, wondering why the Digimon was here.

"This area must be his territory!" said Tentomon, coming to a conclusion.

"Shell!" shouted Shellmon, revealing himself. Coming out of an opening in the shell, a pink turtle like mollusk pops out, with blue spots and green anemone tendrils on its head, sucker-like fingertips on its hand, interlocking lips, and blue eyes.

"Everyone, this way!" shouted Jō, beginning to climb a nearby cliff, only for Shellmon to blast Jō off with a stream of water from between his anemone tendrils.

"Jō!" shouted Gomamon, from the ocean only to be blasted as well.

"Let's go guys!" said Agumon, gaining the other Digimon's attention.

"I'm counting on you, Agumon," said Taichi, watching them run towards Shellmon to attack. Then his eyes saw red for a split second, a thought coming to mind. "Wha-What was that?"

Baby Flame!

Petit Fiyaaa…Huh?

Magical Fi-… Huh?

Petit Thunder… Ugh…

"What's wrong?" asked Kōshirō, seeing only that Agumon was able to attack but not the others.

"Their attacks aren't working!" said Yamato, wondering what's going on with their Digimon before Shellmon starting blasting them to the side.

"Agumon!" shouted Taichi, seeing Agumon get back up after getting his attention.

"Damn it!" said Agumon, not liking getting beaten by Shellmon.

Air Sho…?

Poison Ivy! Huh?

Baby Flame!

"Looking good, Agumon," shouted Taichi, seeing that Agumon's attacks were working somewhat, before hearing a voice.

"Come to me,

Embrace me"

"Where did that voice come from?" thought Taichi, looking around the place, his eyes flashing red for a split second. "Could that have been my imagination?"

"How come only Agumon can fight?" asked Kōshirō, bending down near Tentomon.

"I'm sorry," said Tentomon, trying to get up. "I'm so… hungry…"

"Gabumon," said Yamato, checking on his Digimon.

"I have no strength," said Gabumon, staring up at Yamato.

"I get it!" said Sora, holding Piyomon up. "It's because Agumon ate earlier!"

"I see…," said Kōshirō, seeing what Sora meant.

"So does that mean the other Digimon have no power to fight?" asked Yamato, helping Gabumon into a sitting position.

"Agumon, we'll have to make do on our own!" said Taichi, getting a nod from Agumon.

"Gotcha, Taichi!" said Agumon, agreeing with the boy.

"Hey!" shouted Taichi, getting Shellmon's attention while running closer.

"Taichi!" shouted Sora, not liking what Taichi was doing.

Baby Flame!

"Take this!" shouted Taichi, grabbing a long pole that broke off from a phone booth and jabbing at Shellmon, his eyes going back and forth between his normal brown color and red. "You piece of shit… Damn it!"

"Taichi!" shouted Agumon, seeing Shellmon wrap one of his anemone tendrils around Taichi, picking him up and trying to squeeze him to death before he himself being squashed underneath Shellmon's hand. Shellmon even attacks the others with a blast of water.

"Damn it! At this rate, everyone will…" said Taichi, only for Shellmon to squeeze tighter. "Isn't there anything we can do?"

"Show them,

Embrace it,

The power that we possess!"

"Taichi!" shouted Agumon, seeing Taichi go limp in Shellmon's anemone tendril.

"A…gu…m-mon," said Taichi, a dark aura beginning to surround him, his eyes glowing red.

"Taichi!" shouted Agumon, not liking what he sees, power flowing through him to protect the boy.

Agumon Shinka! Greymon!

In Agumon's place, his new digivolved form stands. A large orange scaled Ceratosaurus with blue stripes stood tall. He has three clawed fingers on his hand and three clawed toes, with a claw protruding from his heels. On his head was a rhinoceros beetle like skull, and his eyes a shade of red. Pushing himself out of Shellmon's hold, Greymon stands before the mollusk Digimon. Though in doing so, Shellmon's grip on Taichi loosened, sending the boy flying. Though Taichi didn't land, in fact, he just hovered in the air, the dark aura getting stronger before he looks at Shellmon.

"Aaaaaaah!" shouted Taichi, an unknown power settling in.

"Taichi, wha…" said Sora, looking at her childhood friend. "What's happening to him?"

Mega Flame!

Shellmon in retaliation shoots his water attack to prevent Greymon's Mega Flame from harming him. But Shellmon didn't calculate that Taichi would attack as well. A shadowy image appears behind Taichi in Shellmon's eyes, a dark figure cloaked in darkness, scaring Shellmon still. Four triangles, in each element appear in front of Taichi, overlapping each other.

Ōsankaku!

Earth, Fire, Wind, Water. All four elements under a planetary effect bombarded Shellmon, severely injuring him. Taichi, in a rage, after his attack, launched himself at Shellmon, slashing the Digimon's left eye and tore off some of the anemone tendrils, leaving Shellmon in a bloody state. Taichi would have torn off some of Shellmon's shell but Greymon not liking what Taichi was doing, grabbed the boy with his tail before lifting Shellmon with his horn and tossing him away in the air before using Mega Flame and launching him further out into the ocean. No longer having any strength, Greymon reverts back to Agumon, but in doing so releases the enraged Taichi. Staring at Agumon, Taichi raises his arm for an attack. Unfortunately, the dark aura dissipated, leaving Taichi to fall unconscious in a heap on the sandy beach.

"Taichi!" shouted Sora, running towards Taichi alongside everyone else.

"What just happened?" asked Mimi, terrified of the power that Taichi has.

"I don't know," said Kōshirō, watching Jō check on Taichi. "Whatever it was, it took a toll on Taichi. He doesn't look so good right now."

"Will Taichi be, okay?" asked Agumon, putting his hand on Taichi's own.

"Don't know," said Jō, examining Taichi, only to see that the boy had a high temperature, heavy breathing and an erratic pulse. "I'd say let Taichi rest and keep an eye on him."

"Right," said Yamato, getting down on one knee so they could put Taichi on his back. "For now, let's get out of here. I'll carry Taichi till we find a safe area."

"Where will we go?" asked Takeru, looking at Taichi, concern on his face.

"Any place but here," said Yamato, helping Jō get Taichi on his back. "Let's get going!"

"Yeah," said Jō, concern written on his face. "Make sure you don't leave your stuff behind, everyone!"

"All right!" said Yamato, not hearing a very low purr from Taichi when standing back up. "Let's go!"

"Okay!" said everyone, in unison. If only they know what was going on Taichi's mind now. Staring up in the darkness, Taichi is laying down in a sea of unknown origin. In a daze, Taichi lifts his hand up only to see red liquid trailing down.

"Is… this… blood?" said Taichi, looking at his hand then looking around, a dark voice chuckling all around him. "Where… am…I?"
