Things were… weird, to say the least. Goku and a few others had left to go deal with something in Universe Ten, and that left the others to train or try and think about what they should do now.
While that was happening, Roshi was knocking back a cider and debating what to do now, until there was a knock at the door.
"Hey, Master Roshi? Have you seen Gohan?" Videl asked, entering the Kame house with Pan. "He was over at Capsule Corp. but he didn't come home after finishing up there…"
"Nah, sorry kid. I ain't seen him." Roshi remarked. "Yo! Pig! You seen Go?"
"No, I ain't seen him in a bit." Oolong called from another room. "I think I owe him money, so I'm fine with that. I've got a note from him I've been ignoring…"
"That reminds me." Videl remarked, passing Roshi something while Launch played with Pan. "Skorch wrote down this name and told me to give it to you, he said you'll know what to do with it… but does the name 'Dimitrescu' mean anything to you?"
"…no…" Roshi said, looking at the note with confusion, then realization and excitement.
Yo, Ro.
Use the box, look up: 'Lady Dimitrescu'.
Thank me later.
S
"Hey." A deeper voice called, and everyone saw Yajirobe and Korin standing in the doorway.
"Oh, hey guys. Long-time, no see." Roshi nodded with a wave. "What brings you two down here?"
"There's been some weird power surges the past few days." Korin answered. "We were trying to figure out where and why, and eventually figured Goku was probably entangled in it, somehow. He wasn't at Capsule Corp., or his home, so we figured we'd check here."
"You missed him by a short time." Tien spoke up, having been mostly keeping to himself. "Apparently he, Whis and Lord Beerus needed to go deal with something in another Universe, so they left not too long ago."
"Agh… I knew that's what that power was!" Korin muttered in disappointment. "Anyone know what the problem is this time?"
"Apparently, the Future Version of Bulma's kid is back." Launch remarked. "Something about his future going to the pits again, I hope he's okay…"
"Wait, hold on. I thought Gohan killin' Cell fixed all that." Yajirobe blinked in confusion. "How'd his future get all bad again?"
"Apparently there's an Evil Goku, or something like that." Launch shrugged. "I dunno, they haven't been too clear on the details, but apparently that purple-cat-guy figured out a way to solve this before it happened."
"…which would explain the power surges…" Korin concluded.
"Weird." Roshi shrugged, flipping through the channels on the device the Blackthorns sent. He knew he needed to be *ahem* 'alone' to look up whatever this was, but hey. After a few channels, the sound of Death Battle's theme could be heard. "Hey, you guys wanna kill twenty minutes?" Roshi asked.
(*Cues: Invader - Jim Johnston*)
"Catfight!" Boomstick shouted.
"Great…"
"It literally is, Boomstick. Not only do we have two ferocious females in the ring today, but they're also, well, cats."
"Felicia, the popstar demon cat chick lady." Boomstick said as Felica was shown, looking like a mix of a human and a snow leopard with blue hair.
"Oh, this is gonna be a good one…" Roshi said quietly.
"And Taokaka, BlazBlue's speedy vigilante." Wiz added as… huh. This was a weird one. No one was sure what to make of the second fighter, a cloaked figure with what seemed like a robotic face and massive paws.
"He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!"
"And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win... a Death Battle."
Felicia
(*Cues: Felicia's Theme - Marvel vs Capcom 3*)
"The world of Darkstalkers was certainly a weird one. From soul-sucking-Succubi, to rock-and-roll demons, there was always something weird everywhere you looked." Wiz began, before showing Felicia. "As a catwoman, Felicia faced discrimination all her life. She was raised by a nun and became a successful pop-star, a passion that would ultimately lead her on a quest to bring humans and cat-people together to make children happy." Wiz introduced the first fighter as Felicia was shown.
"Finally, someone who isn't out to conquer the world or kill just for laughs." Videl sighed. Sure, most of the battles she had seen hadn't been… that, but still, she was a woman with a strong heart, and she enjoyed seeing that in others. Plus, she felt less nervous about Pan being present, and floating in the ai- "Pan! Get down from there! You could hurt yourself!"
She had an odd design, seemingly not wearing any clothes, but having much of her body covered by snow-white fur. Her long hair was bright blue, and her hands and feet were, well, paws. The other notable thing was her face and body seemed more 'human' than 'cat'. She also had a tail.
"Is it just me, or does that look kinda like a furry?"
"A what?"
"Never mind."

"What the hell? I thought we were talking about a deadly demon warrior and... is she naked?!" Boomstick asked, confused.
"Kinda, yeah."
"But… she's a cat… and a person…"
"Yes..."
"Hmmm... do you think it'd be wrong to-"
"Yes! Whatever you're thinking, yes!" Wiz shouted. "Felicia is a Darkstalker, a creature of the night, and naturally possesses supernatural strength, speed and agility. She can also use her unique cat senses to sniff out enemies from extreme distances."
"Hey, Master Roshi. I know you do you and all, but there's a kid here, all right?" Launch said seriously. Roshi said nothing, too focused on the screen. "Aaaannnddd… he's not even paying attention to me…"
"That's a first." Videl remarked, although it wasn't a first for good reasons…

"Hold on, why is Gohan on that list!?" Yajirobe asked, bewildered.
"Oh yeah, you and Korin have been AFK for a bit." Videl realized. "You know that Entity guy, Skorch?"
"Not really."
"Is he that new power source that showed up a few months ago?" Korin asked, having sensed something up on the lookout with Dende and Mr. Popo, but none of them going in-person to see what it was. Well, that was partially what today was going to be, but apparently, he had left, so… whoops.
"Yeah."
"Haven't met him, but sensed him."
"Right, well, he has this… thing, that plays a game where we're all characters in it. It's a fighting game called 'Fighters Z' or something. But Gohan is in it, twice actually."
"Whoa! No way! Are we in it?!" Yajirobe exclaimed, seeming pretty calm about the potential implications of Videl's revelation.
"I don't think so." She shook her head. "Apparently, Skorch hadn't bought some pass thing, so he only has some of the available characters."
"Man, to be a video game character? That'd be cool…"
"I doubt anyone would bother playing me if I was in it." Launch bemoaned, not hearing the cries of a fanbase.
"She can tear into her foes with the sharp claws restin' in her big-ass paws, each several inches long and capable of tearing through all kinds of armor, flesh and whatever else comes her way." Boomstick added as a diagram of Felicia's paws were shown. "Seriously, this world is WEIRD. Even by our standards!"
"To top it off her tail is extremely strong, able to lift her entire body on its own. It's also capable of grabbing and throwing opponents, but some of the larger ones may be problematic." Wiz continued.
"LIKE MY DI-" Boomstick began to shout, irritating or angering about half of those watching, and amusing the other half.
"I said 'Larger' not 'Flaccid.'" Wiz cut him off, and everyone burst out laughing.
"Ooouuucchhh…." Roshi groaned in sympathy.
"He's definitely gonna need a Senzu after that…"
"They heal wounds, not undo murders." Korin remarked. "And besides, something tells me he had that coming."
"He's had that coming for a LONG time…" Launch muttered, thinking back to when they first began watching these battles. Back when a different (but equally, ((if not more-so)) talented) writer was behind the wheel.
"She's undeniably one of the faster Darkstalkers, and can get around the battlefield with her unpredictable Rolling Smash, Delta Kicks and Rolling Buckler."
"Felicia, she can really move- Felicia, she's got an attitu-ude-" Boomstick was singing.
"Wasn't that the song from Sonic?" Videl asked, thinking back to the episode they had watched on the cube ship thing on their way to the Universal Tournament.
"I think so." Tien nodded.
SPECIAL MOVES
- Rolling Smash (Roshi laughed, perversely.)
- Delta Kick/Cat Spike
- Hell Cat Grapple
- Rolling Buckler
- Links to Various Attacks
(*Cues: Night Warriors Darkstalker' Revenge: The Animated Series - Intro Theme Instrumental*)
"Yes, Boomstick, we get it, she's like Sonic." Wiz said annoyed. "Unlike Sonic, her franchise didn't die because of bad games, but rather because barely anyone played them. Anyway, as a Darkstalker, Felicia has a natural affinity for magic, able to use it in the form of her only ranged attack: kicking sand."
"Huh."
"Well, I mean…"
"Dumb question: does she summon sand? Create it? Is there just always sand wherever she is?" Yajirobe asked, raising the important questions.
"I don't like sand…" Tien muttered. "It's coarse and rough-"
"At least she's litter box trained…" Boomstick said, clearly unsure of what to say/how to feel about this. "Can't like, the weakest pokémon around do this too?"
SAND SPLASH
- Short Range
- Low to Middle Height
- Also Called Litterbox Kick
"No, she's not quite on the low level of Magikarp." Wiz shook his head. "As she was raised by a nun, even becoming one herself, she has little to no combat training, preferring to focus on her singing career and running an orphanage. As such, she relies on her lethal feral instincts in a fight, which doesn't always help against foes who have trained in some capacity."
"She's fought – and teamed up – with several Death Battle victors in the past, such as Spider-Man, Zangief, Blanka and Deadpool, as well as losers like Ryu and Dan." Boomstick continued with the descriptions. "We only use 'Loser' in the insult term for Dan, Ryu's one of the good ones. But these same instincts also lead her to be easily distracted by ferocious enemies like butterflies, rolling balls of yarn and paper that crinkles."
FEATS AND WEAKNESSES
- Routinely Fights Enemies WAY Out Of Her League
- Has Teamed Up With Multiple Fighting Game Champions
- Has (Technically) Saved The World More Than Once
- Helped Tame Talbain's Feral Side
- Admittedly, Kind Of Stupid
- One Of The Weakest Darkstalkers
- Easily Distracted
"…really?"
"Hey, she's a cat. What do you expect?" Roshi shrugged.
"Whoa, that's an unfair statement. Not all cats-" Korin began, but stopped dead in his tracks when a ball of yarn rolled by. "Mine!" He suddenly took off after the ball, and everyone watched him go.
"Case in point."
"While the other Darkstalkers consider Felicia to be one of the weakest of their kind, with the help from her friends, she somehow manages to hold her own against demon lords, spell casters and all-powerful aliens."
"That's one cat you don't want to cross. I guess." Boomstick shrugged.
"I sure could use a catnap." Felicia remarked, before turning into a cat… because reasons.
"Okay. I guess she can do that, too…" Tien said.
Felicia seemed like a good person, but those watching weren't too sure if she was a fighter. Granted, she supposedly came from a fighting game, so she had to have some degree of skill, but it was hard to say if she was going to be able to take the win or not. However, as Videl left to change Pan, the conversation turned back to the larger problem at hand…
"Man, so the kid's future is all screwy again, and apparently Goku is responsible!? Geez, that just… that just sounds crazy!"
"It's something like that. I don't get how this could've happened, but it is happening…"
"I heard they may have found a solution, I just hope things are going okay for them…"
In Another Universe…
"IF YOU PICK ANOTHER FREAK LIKE THIS, I WILL DESTROY YOU! OR SINCE THAT'S NOT AN OPTION I'LL BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF YOU AND HAVE SKORCH BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN!" Beerus roared.
"Done!" Skorch said with a thumbs up. There was silence, then the sound of something burning could be heard.
"Skorch, I didn't ask you to-"
"Too bad!"
Back At The Ranch… (Universe Seven. The One They're Watching Death Battle In…)
Taokaka
(*Cues: Catus Carnival - BlazBlue Calamity Trigger*)
"This is the fighter? That chick wearing a cat hoodie?" Boomstick asked, confused.
"No, that's a special cloak to fit her Kaka body." Wiz answered, much to everyone's confusion.
"Her... what body?" Boomstick (and those watching) asked.
"Taokaka is a vigilante of the Kaka tribe, a catlike people descended from genetically engineered living weapons." Wiz answered.
"Ah. Yes, I should've known."
"Her genetics, provide her with a natural fighting instinct. She is the guardian of the Kaka, implying that she is the best fighter of the group."
"While she may be a good fighter, she is one dumb cat. Like, we're talking Goku levels of stupid here."
"Hey, Goku isn't-" Videl began.
"Yes, he is." She was collectively shut down.
BACKGROUND
- Height: 5'5"
- Weight: 93 lbs.
- Descended From Genetically Engineered Weapons
- Guardian, Vigilante And Bounty Hunter
- Embodiment Of Innocence And Purity In The BlazBlue World
- Incredibly Stupid
"Unfortunately, Tao has an incredibly severe case of ADHD." Wiz remarked. "While she hunts bounties with the intent of improving her fighting skill and bringing money to her family, she often winds up completely forgetting about her mission at the worst of times, often even befriending her would-be targets."
"Okay, fine. She's pretty stupid." Oolong conceded.
"Still, it's not like she's lacking the tools to hunt, she has twelve retractable dual-edged blades on her hands and feet. Well, I guess she's got more than one way to skin a cat!"
"Oh, he was waiting to make that joke…" Launch grumbled.
"While they're not very long, they can transform from basic claws to hook-size and saw-blades. Damn, I don´t even want to think what those things would do to my couch…"
"Eh, I could make it work." Roshi shrugged, then realized how that sounded. "Wait, not like-"
"Yeah, sure, whatever." Korin said quickly, trying to keep Roshi from digging himself a deeper hole.
COMBAT
- Rush-Down Playstyle
- A Total Of 12 Retractable Razor-Sharp Blades
- Speed-Based Combos
- Expert Air Control
- 'Dancing Edge' Drive Is Extremely Fast
- Lacks Defensive Options, But Makes Up For It In Pressure
"Not only that, but Tao's genes allow her to instinctively access and utilize Seithr: a raw, powerful energy seething through the air. No, it's not magic, don't ask." Wiz continued. "Tao can use Seithr to empower and transform her claws, as well as to execute incredibly vicious attacks. However, there is only so much Seithr in a given space, and once she runs out, Tao will lose many of her deadliest attributes."
SEITHR
- Uses Instinctively
- Uses For Special Attacks
- 3 Powerful, Fast Distortion Drives
- Astral Heat
- Summoned From The Air Around Her
- Limited Amount Available
"So, this Seithr stuff is kinda like Ki?"
"That could be a fair comparison." Videl nodded. "Except, I don't think you can just 'run out' of Ki the way you can Seithr."
"Eeehh… you can and you can't." Roshi shrugged. "It all depends on how you're using it, but yeah, you can totally burn though your Ki supply if you aren't careful, but it certainly seems to last longer than this Seither stuff."
"True." Tien nodded. "Also, Ki often comes from within, and while it can be taken from the world around you, it's more complicated than that."
"Also, apparently Tao likes to carry around a lot of random shit, which she then uses as projectiles during a fight: stuff like bowling balls, apple cores, pillo- a pillow? Really!?" Boomstick asked, exasperated.
"Well, unpredictability can be useful." Launch shrugged, even if she wasn't sure how she felt about Taokaka's chances of winning.
"She's the fastest of the BlazBlue cast, darting around the arena with incredibly fast combos. However, she's also the weakest stamina-wise and doesn't have very many defensive options. Add to this her ADHD and somewhat lacking damage potential in some cases, and she can be a rather… interesting case."
FEATS AND WEAKNESSES
- Can Hold Her Own In Combat
- Agility, Speed And Air Control Unmatched By The Rest Of The Cast
- Relatively Fearless
- Extremely Stupid
- Easily Distracted
- Little In Terms Of Defensive Strategies
- Low Stamina Can Be Detrimental
- Often Doesn't Realize She's Outclassed, And Will Fight Regardless
"But, if you want to kick her ass, you gotta catch her first!" Boomstick concluded.
"Aah! It's the boobie lady!" Taokaka exclaimed as the doors closed, and more than a few heads turned to Roshi.
"I didn't say anything." He said, raising his hands.
"Why did we agree to let him watch this one?" Someone asked.
"You all came to MY house!" He exclaimed.
"…well, he's got us there." Chaoztsu shrugged in realization, and everyone decided to let it go. It was a fairly even split, with more votes going to Felecia than Taokaka, merely because of her personality, profession and looks. (Roshi apologized for nothing.)
"All right, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all."
"IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLLEEE!" Boomstick shouted.
(*Cues: Darkstalkers 3 - Felicia's Ending Theme*)
On a wooden bridge, a pink butterfly flies toward Felicia, who is wearing her nun attire and was tending to some plants. Felicia noticed the butterfly and suddenly took off her robes-
"Niiiceee…" Roshi said, and was hit by Launch in the back of the head. "Worth it."
-then began following it. She then leaps at it four times before accidentally bumping into and waking up Taokaka. Felicia jumps back while Taokaka is agitated.
"Alright!" The Cat-Thing exclaimed. "Were you my bounty? Ah, whatever!"
FIGHT!
(*Cues: Calamity Trigger - BlazBlue Calamity Trigger*)
Taokaka charges at Felicia, unleashing a long combo before knocking her into the air, then slamming her into the ground with her hook claws. She charges again when Felicia uses her Rolling Smash to jump onto her attacker, then unleashes a combo of her own. Felicia then knocks Taokaka into the air, jumps upward, slashes her a few times before grabbing her and throwing her to the ground. Felicia lands and Taokaka attempts to counter, but her attack is blocked, leaving her wide open to Felicia's Delta Kick. Felicia then uses Rolling Smash and moves back and forth, hitting Taokaka repeatedly before she jumps upward and catches Felicia as she gets her claws ready.
"Man, those things must hurt." Oolong remarked, watching the sharp claws slice back and forth. But for one reason or another, be it lower animation budget, or the 'lighter' tone of the battle, it wasn't as bloody as some may have expected.
"Take this!" Taokaka shouted, before proceeding to stab Felicia relentlessly with her Distortion Drive, following it up with the amazingly-named 'Imma Beat The Crap Outta You' attack before Felicia suddenly reversed the flurry of attacks with her Hell Cat Grapple. The Nun-Singer retaliated with a series of ferocious slashes and attacks, before her tail wrapped around Taokaka's neck, and then threw the attacker away.
"Boing!" Taokaka managed to launch herself back into the air with her massive paws, and came flying down at Felicia with a series of fast, vicious cuts. Felicia seemed to be able to guard against most of it, but more than a few of the claws cut into her skin and fur. With a swift kick, Taokaka was knocked off of the Nun, who took a fighting stance once more while Taokaka had her hands on the ground and her tail in the air.
(*Cues Felicia's Darkstalkers 3 Ending Theme again*)
Then the butterfly from before returned, grabbing both of their attention. The two repeatedly leapt at it and as the butterfly approaches Felicia. Neither one seemed to remember they were fighting in a Death Battle, but hey, that's cats for you.
"Awww, that's so cute~!" Launch cooed. Pan giggled and clapped as she watched the two kitties jumping after the butterfly.
"They… they know they're supposed to be fighting, right?" Videl asked.
"Hey, there's no reasoning with madness. Or cats for that matter." Roshi shrugged, and Videl had to give him that point.
"Yeah, I've seen cats do this before." Korin remarked with a nod.
"Didn't you chase a laser pointer for two hours the other day?" Yajirobe asked.
"…I can make you walk back to the Look-Out, y'know." Korin replied, before they all collectively went back to watching the battle.,
"Kill it." Tien suddenly said as if he was ordering someone to do something.
"Tien!"
Taokaka slashes it with her claws, killing the butterfly.
"Oh hey, it worked." Tien blinked, surprised.
"Whoops!" Taokaka blinked.
"No, no, no!" Felicia whimpered, first seeming upset, then angry. Felicia then lunged at Taokaka, letting out a cat-like roar, and unleashed a long combo on her. The two trade strings of attacks until Taokaka is slashing at thin air, forgetting where Felicia is. Roshi meanwhile was loving every second of this. Felicia appeared from behind Taokaka and landed on her and slashes at her face before knocking her back with a kick. This attack did some notable damage, and only seemed to anger Taokaka more than anything. Taokaka gets into a one-legged stance while Felicia refused to give her the advantage and attacked with Rolling Smash. However, Taokaka caught Felicia off-guard using her Slashy-Slashy attack, knocking her onto back. Felicia uses Sandsplash, but to no avail as Taokaka jumps right over it, trapping her in a combo and knocking Felicia into the air. She strikes Felicia multiple times, keeping her in the air, then lands. Taokaka then takes out her claws and jumps upward as she performs her Astral Heat, Attack Meow Pow.
"Taokaka boom!"
The strike is so devastating that it slices Felicia in half, separating her top and bottom halves of her body. Taokaka is then shown dancing.
K.O.!.
"Nya ha, nya ha, nya ha!" Taokaka was either singing or saying before suddenly sitting on the floor. "Now I'm bored."
It was an… interesting fight, to put it lightly. No one felt the same high adrenaline they did from Vegeta vs Shadow or Thor vs Raiden, but considering what was happening around them, an easy distraction was nice…
Results
(*Cues: Bright - BlazBlue*)
"Well, Felicia just got put down!"
"But this one was very close; based on their move sets, Tao appeared to have a slight speed advantage. Though Felicia had the endurance of a Darkstalker, Tao's superior agility eventually gave her the win."
"Figured." Videl conceded. She had wanted Felica to win, but kinda had a feeling from the word 'Go', or more specifically 'While-the-other-Darkstalkers-consider-Felicia-to-be-one-of-the-weakest-of-their-kind' she wouldn't win. Oh well.
"Not to mention she's got freakin' razorblades for claws! While her stamina was lower than Felicia's, Taokaka's weaponry was just better suited for a fight to a brutal end. Felicia just took her final meow." Boomstick explained, ending with a groan-worthy pun.
"The winner is Taokaka." Wiz concluded.
"Man, so they take two fighters from wherever and make em' duke it out?" Yajirobe asked, not having seen these, until now.
"Essentially, yes." Tien nodded. "It's unclear how they get the information, but they do somehow. Vegeta and Hercule have been in one, as well as Majin Buu."
"Seriously?!"
"Yeah, hang on, I'll try and pull it up." Roshi said, picking up the remote and hitting a few buttons, only for the doors to close.
"Next time on Death Battle!" Boomstick declared.
A man was walking through what looked like a bar, before someone whistled. Without warning, he turned around and made a finger-gun… which shot fire.
"Hold on. What?! That's awesome!" Launch exclaimed.
To everyone's shock, the fire blast was caught in the palm of a teen's hand, who then held it up to the end of a cigarette in his mouth.
"Thanks for the light, pal." The teen remarked, lighting a cigarette before hacking and coughing aggressively proceeding to throw it away. "Rugh… what am I doing…? I don't smoke…"
NATSU VS. ACE
"So, you were sent back in time to stop Goku Black, but the ones who sent you back in time were destroyed?"
"Correct."
"And the timeline where you were sent from is gone, right?"
"That is the most logical answer."
"Hang on, so if Skynet sent you off to stop Goku Black, how did you get back here?"
"The one known as 'Goku Black' is more powerful than anything Skynet has ever seen. It poses a threat to us, and to humanity. In the timeline where we would have eradicated the human race, we ourselves were destroyed." The Terminator spoke, Bulma pulling some files up from his memory banks. The world… was destroyed. Unlike when Cell, Friza or even Beerus had lain waste to parts of the world, there was nothing! It was just ash, smog, and charred remains. Be it of buildings or skeletons, it was impossible to say. "I was assigned by Skynet to find a way to stop him, I was forced to align myself with your kind; but it was not enough."
"So… is your future the same as Trunk's future?" Bulma asked.
"Most likely, no. Skynet was destroyed, and I managed to escape to a different timeline. From there, I was found and eventually given new objectives. By aligning myself with humanity, there was a chance both Skynet and humanity could survive together. This was the logic you presented to me."
"Who sent you back? From the sounds of it, I wasn't around to do this…" Bulma frowned, disappointed that she (or her alternate timeline self) wouldn't be the one responsible for sending the robotic killing-machine back in time to protect her family.
"She did." The Terminator said, pointing to the Young Mai. "Or at least, a version of herself did." The shock from those present was real, not just because of the T-800 being here, but because apparently MAI had sent him (or it) back in time.
"You are not the same Mai that I was told to find." The T-800 stated. "You supposedly would be older."
"Wait, hold on! Who told you to find her?!" Pilaf exclaimed.
"You did." The Terminator said, nodding to Mai. "You told me to deliver a message to yourself and the one known as 'Trunks'."
"Okay… what's that message?" Mai asked, clearly freaked out, but also understanding now wasn't the time to freak out. The T-800 looked around the room, then back to Mai.
"Negative. You told me to tell you and only you and the one known as Trunks. These are not those people, telling them would compromise my mission, and they would have to be terminated."
"Uh, maybe we should wait outside…" Shu muttered awkwardly, taking a few steps back and away from the killer death robot. Granted, he had been on the other side of the room since he had shown up, but still.
"Wait, if you're programmed to respond to my commands, then I authorize you to tell them what you need to tell me." Mai spoke up, and for a few moments, it wasn't clear of the robot had heard her.
"This is… acceptable." He nodded. "Playing feedback."
"Trunks… if you're hearing this, then we need you, more than ever!" Mai's voice spoke, but… older. "He's… there's something different about him! He's more powerful than before! We… we lost the subway… we've lost so many… please. You have to-" And then the audio cut off.
"That is all I was able to record." The T-800 stated. "We were attacked as I was being transported back to this time, and I am uncertain what has happened to the Mai who sent me back. However, the odds are statistically high that she did not survive the coming encounter."
This was… upsetting. Knowing the future was in danger was one thing, but a machine designed to kill being sent back in time and being told 'Hey, yeah. You're most likely dead' was another. Mai felt a sense of despair and fear, but she didn't know how to react. Was she supposed to ignore this? Fight it? What could she do?
Unfortunately, she knew she (in this time and place) couldn't do anything, really. But at the same time, she now had a killer robot following her orders, so maybe she could make the future better! …for her.
"Okay, so you were sent back here. That means, she- er, I sent you back with some sort of mission, right?"
"You sent me back with two objectives." The T-800 answered immediately.
"Which were?" Bulma asked.
"I do not answer to you." The Terminator replied, not even looking at Bulma.
"What were they?" Mai asked.
"Find and protect you and the one known as Trunks, so you would be able to lead the Resistance should the second objective fail. The second objective, is to terminate the one known as Son Goku, and anyone in his bloodline to ensure Goku Black will not come to be."
Meanwhile, Skorch was reading reviews. "A'ight, got three reviews, let's go… first up, I've got one from a 'Maloran', who wrote…
And just as Death Battle announced a Link vs Cloud Round 2 battle.
"I know, right? Just as I'm finishing it… Anyhow, speaking of Link, the next review comes from 'TheHyrulianHero', and they write…
Woooo! The one I've been waiting for. Honestly, I was a bit surprised hearing you say that you don't know much about these games, FF7 I really like, but Zelda basically shaped my whole childhood. Still, to each their own, I really enjoyed this!
"Judging by your name, I could tell you were a Zelda fan. Anyways, I've got nothing against these games, they just ain't my style, y'know? Finally, we have an interesting review from 'Drago - X6627', who wrote…
I am not a fan of doom but I enjoy the most recent game they released so I don't really know the backstory of doom and I'm not sure if they got it right or wrong you mind explain yourself a bit more or why you're a little upset because I think they are comparing the older doom character with master chief and if your compare the old doom character with the most recent one there storyline don't match up that's my opinion
"So, spoilers for DOOM Eternal, what I was getting at was that the Doomguy and the Doom Slayer ARE now canonically, the same person, therefore, they have the same past, powers, weapons, ext. The guest was saying that they added none of that to a Death Battle that came out years before the Doom Slayer was ever made 'a thing', and that's what I was trying to address."
