"So, this is the plan." Catra said as Brennus crossed his arms. "You barrage the city, Adora and her stupid friends come out… And we attack them from 3 different sides." Catra put in which caused the Vorutian Prince to hum.
"How do you next them not to attack the fleet?" Brennus said while looking at the holographic map. "They aren't stupid, if we expose the fleet? Their make taking it out their main priority…." Brennus said while he and Catra shared a look.
"What about this fortress they installed since last time?" Lonnie pointed out, gesturing to a new structure which caused them to hum. "What? We brought a ship here last time; you didn't expect them to prepare? I did send out spy drones like Brennus suggested." Lonnie stated which got Brennus to nod.
"Then we destroy that and blind the city." Brennus stated while making sure to nod to Lonnie. "Besides? You're not the only one eager to fight the princesses again." Brennus added before motioning for his soldiers to return to the fleet.
"Don't forget who's in charge." Catra stated to which Brennus nodded.
"Just offering advice, commander." Brennus said and turned to Lonnie. "Did you send out a pair of scouts for every drone we deployed?" Brennus stated as he got a nod.
Brennus knew Catra was smart, you didn't become a military commander without being either cunning or manipulative… Or both. Still? Brennus had none of his own resources, none of his planet's soldiers, ships, or vehicles were present on this world and Brennus still obeyed his father in combat.
"You know Catra will just try and lure Adora and them out." Lonnie said before crossing her arms. "We should…" Lonnie started to say before Brennus brought a hand up.
"We will destroy the fortifications and flank the defenders from behind." Brennus stated and turned to Lonnie. "Catra is prideful, not stupid, Lonnie. If she was that incapable of military commands? Then I will come up with a plan." Brennus added, waving the officer down.
(Horde Command ship)
Brennus hummed from the command deck of the Horde warship. He crossed his arms and leaned on the edge.
"Why are we waiting?" Lonnie asked to which the prince turned to her.
"Because I'm not attacking without knowing what we're up against." Brennus said and shook his head. "Have the spy bots completed their sweep?" Brennus asked to which the Horde Sergeant looked at her datapad.
"Yes, several Rebel watercrafts on the oceans." Lonnie reported as Brennus hummed.
"Then we defeat them first." Brennus said and motioned for the ship to move forward. "Ready the cannons, I might have an idea." Brennus stated while he cracked his fingers.
He walked with Lonnie to review the spy bot's footage; Lonnie was glad that Brennus took this deployment rather seriously.
"You think the princesses will be in the city?" Lonnie questioned as she hummed.
"If they were? They'd quickly defeat our fleet; I don't plan on engaging them for a moment." Brennus said and waved his hands.
"Bren, what are you guys doing now?" Brennus heard from Catra over the communicator.
"Preparing to engage their fleet, what about you?" Brennus questioned and got a sigh from Catra.
"Busy…" Catra pointed out with the sounds of combat in the background during this time.
Brennus was about to ask before smoke rose on the outskirts of the city. Brennus turned to see the fleet slowly approaching them as well, a dozen boats or such.
"Blast it, Catra…" Brennus muttered as he turned to his soldiers. "Prepare for battle! Sink those ships and barrage the city!" Brennus ordered, drawing his sword from his back.
(With Catra)
Catra ordered a wave of Horde Robots to destroy the fort. She slowly motioned for more soldiers for more soldiers to advance.
"Brennus, what happened to blowing up the city?" Catra questioned over her communicator.
"I'm busy engaging the cities' fleet. Theres quite a few soldiers here…" Brennus replied before the sound of sword swings was heard. "Lonnie, first the cannons! Me and the crew will fend off their soldiers!" Brennus stated before there was the sound of fighting on their end.
Catra cursed as one of her bots exploded, falling to the ground. Catra noticed a familiar sword before charging forward.
"Really, you're here as well!?" Catra hissed before setting her lips in a smirk.
(With Brennus)
Brennus shook his head and tossed the Salineas soldier overboard before blocking the sword of another.
"Lonnie, begin bombardment!" Brennus ordered before sidestepping the soldier and kicking him to the ground. "Protect the ship!" Brennus ordered, growing in annoyance.
He had wanted to attack on 2 flanks, now he was simply going to have to settle for a costly direct attack. Even if they defended the fleet? There would be far more death when it came down.
"For the princess!" One of the soldiers said, swinging his axe at Brennus was knocked back by the weapon.
"I'll give you destruction at my hand personally…." Brennus stated as he blocked the next swing and stabbed his sword into their chest.
The soldier gasped and collapsed into the water. Brennus turned to see a Horde soldier fall at his feet, he looked out into the distance and noticed a brief glint of movement on the shore…. And a familiar face.
"I should have known the princesses would regroup here." Brennus said as he turned to look at the soldier. "Catra, what is your position? I've spotted the princesses… Lonnie, send the reinforcements. We're settle this with the backup plan." Brennus ordered as his soldiers rallied around him, blasters at the ready.
"Surrender, Horde invaders!" Brennus heard as he shook his head with amusement.
"I'll offer you the same, soldier." Brennus said, pointing his sword at the various soldiers as he and his troops regrouped on the command deck. "Surrender or I will lay waste to Salineas. I do not wish to destroy a entire city. But it will be your choice." Brennus said before his eyes narrowed.
The soldiers shared a look before deciding to charge forward once again. Brennus sighed before the sound of cannon fire reached his ears.
The 5 Horde Warships began a shelling of the city, aiming for the various towers and ship ports on the shore. Brennus led the Horde crew in defense of the command ship.
(With Catra)
Catra's attack of the Sea Gate and its new fortress continued as she slashed at, She-Ra. Explosions and fire surrounded the duo as her forces clashed with Eternian soldiers.
"What, wasn't enough to lose before?" Catra asked, backflipping over the warrior's strike. "You made new friends, I made new friends… It's a whole thing going on, you know?" Catra asked, knowing her former friend was still sore about the battle of Candila.
"What, think we weren't smart enough to expect you to attack Mermista's kingdom?" She-Ra asked as Catra shrugged.
"Don't know, you haven't exactly impressed me so far." Catra retorted and lunged forward, claws extended. "I know your princess buddies are around here. You didn't think I knew your super friends were going to be waiting for me?" Catra asked as she kicked, She-Ra's sword out of her hand.
She-Ra glared at Catra who turned to address a pair of charging Eternian soldiers. She rushed to reclaim her sword before a shell detonated near her, throwing her into the city.
"Catra, why did you launch the attack early!?" Lonnie asked over the comm as more explosions rocked the city. "We're still fighting off a boarding party. Brennus sent the reinforcements into the back of the city. Their meet you at the front gate if the mission goes well." Lonnie stated and shook her head.
"Longer we wait, the longer Adora and her stupid friends would have been ready." Catra replied, kicking one of the soldiers over as she caught the blade of the other. "Bren, stop turning their gate into rubble!" Catra ordered as a soldier knocked her to the ground.
"I'm targeting the towers, Catra." Brennus stated as the sound of combat continued to fill the comm. "I wanted to simply destroy their defenses from the sea and order their surrender. This will be a siege, not a battle." Brennus pointed out as Catra flipped to her feet and looked at She-Ra.
"Your not taking Salineas." She-Ra stated as Catra rolled her eyes and hummed.
"Watch me." Catra said and leapt at her, claws extended.
She wanted blood… NOW.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show the next part of the siege. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
