Here's the next chapter. I hope you all enjoy it.
Chapter 13
Knight was heading back to his territory. He just finished gathering food for the soon to be born pups that Blue was going to have. The young wolf was proud of his alphas. They really were looking forward to having them. So when there was an order to gather food Knight was the first to step up.
"I can't wait for the pups to be born. It will give me another reason to see Toboe."
The black wolf smiled to himself as he was suddenly full of happiness at the mention of the wolf's name. He wondered how the pup was doing, maybe if he could talk to his alpha's, he could go visit the young wolf at his home. So with that thought in mind he collected the food and hurried back to his pack. When he was at the territory's entrance he suddenly stopped cold in his tracks. He turned his head and listened to the sounds around him.
As the young wolf closed his eyes and listened to the area around him. He began to pick up a high pitched howl. At first he couldn't place the voice, but when he listened harder his eyes went wide. He knew that voice...Toboe. He looked at the direction the sound came from and saw that it wasn't too far away from where Toboe and his pack left.
"Toboe...what is it your trying to tell me?"
Knight took a deep breath and released a howl of his own. Hoping that it would reach the pup.

Tsume continued on his way to where the blood trail lead him. He knew he was getting close to his pack mates. The gray alpha placed his nose to the ground once more and tried to figure out which direction his pack went. But before he could, a howl came over the valley. He recognized the howl...Toboe. And with that he ran full speed toward the sound and hopefully to where his pack was.
"Toboe, Kiba please be safe I'm on my way."
As Tsume ran along the bank he stopped in his tracks. He lifted his head and listened to the wind. There was a voice coming up the bank, the gray alpha couldn't recognize the sound. He hoped it wasn't more of Zeal's wolves. So without wasting anymore time the young alpha continued on his path to his pack.

Knight ran back to his pack's den. He needed to know what Toboe was trying to tell him. So when the black wolf arrived, he dropped off the food he caught, and without another word to anybody he ran back the way he came. Hoping he find Toboe and the others before something else happened.
"Toboe...I'm on my way...please be okay."
The black wolf approached the area he was before and began sniffing the air. He needed to find the pups scent. As he raised his nose to the air he took a deep breath, and waited for the smells to come back to him. When the smells began to come back he closed his eyes and concentrated on the smells. After a few minutes a scent came to his nose, it was a smell that was earthy, and a smell that he could only describe as warm. His eyes then opened with a bright smile on his face.
"Toboe..."
With that he took off down the path and followed the scent of the brown wolf. He hoped once he found him he could do whatever he could to help him. Knight really couldn't think what would happen if the pup was injured or worse. But he shook the last thought out of his head, no the pup was fine he had to be...

The sounds of snarling and biting filled the air as Kiba and Zeal continued to fight. Both wolves were panting, bleeding, but neither wanted to back down. The silver wolf had a wound over his eye, making his vision hard to work with. Kiba had a bad limp but he too wasn't backing down an inch. As both wolves ran at each other and jumped, both collided and landed on the ground with a painful yelp.
Toboe lifted his tired head and noticed it got very quite. He glanced over at where Kiba and Zeal were, and saw them both on the ground. His eyes were wide as he took in each wolf, both were bleeding even more and had wounds all over their bodies. The young wolf slowly rose to his feet and began to walk over. When he approached Kiba who was closer, he saw how bad he was painting and whimpering. The white wolf had blood coming out all over his body, and had a broken leg.
"K-K-Kiba...can y-y-you hear me?"
Said wolf had his eyes closed as he began to wheeze. He didn't respond but with a twitch of his ear, Toboe saw that he heard him. He looked over to find Zeal laying in the water, the blood from his wounds were turning the water into a light pink color. The pup realized the silver wolf didn't have long to live. Even though Zeal's chest was moving, it was moving very slowly. The pup then turned his attention back to his friend.
"Kiba I'm gonna try to call Tsume and see if he is anywhere near us."
No words came but another twitch of the ear meant that the white wolf heard his friend. So with a small smile on his face, the pup leaned down nuzzled Kiba softly, licked his cheek, and whimpered softly. He then rose back to his feet and walked a few feet away, lifted his muzzle to the sky and released one more howl. Hoping with all his heart that Tsume or someone would come to help.

Tsume ran along the river bank and followed the blood trail. As he continued on his way he noticed that the further he went the thicker the blood was. The alpha shivered at the amount but he knew he had to keep going. His packmates needed him, his mate needed him. So with a shake of his head he ran down the bank.
"I'm almost there the scent is getting stronger."
Just then a rustle to the side of the alpha made him stop in his tracks. He froze and the hair along his back and neck rose. The gray wolf was ready for any attack that would come his way, even if it ment killing another wolf. As the seconds passed another sound from the side of the bank came again. Tsume positioned himself for attack, he would not let this whatever it was come after his pack. suddenly a black flash appeared out of the bushes and collided into the alpha. With a grunt of pain both wolves went rolling into the water.
"Urg...what the hell...
Tsume said as he slowly rose to his feet shook the water off his coat, and turned his attention to the black blur that ran into him. His eyes went wide, he knew who this wolf was, but the real question was why the hell was he out here? Of course he really couldn't stand him but what choice did he have. With a sigh he approached the now conscious wolf, who was getting to his feet, and shaking the water out of his coat.
"What in the holly hell are you doing here...Knight?"
The black wolf looked at the alpha, and instinaly laid his ears against his head, and tucked his tail between his legs. Tsume rolled his eyes as he growled at the wolf in front of him. He didn't have time to deal with this kiss ass, he needed to find his pack. So with a glare at the wolf the alpha spoke once more.
"I will say this one more time. What the HELL are you doing here?"
"Tsume sir I came to find Toboe...he-he sent a howl that was a cry for help. I heard it when I was gathering food for Hige and Blue. I dropped off the food and came to look for all of you. I kn-know I have no right to look for them...but Toboe...Toboe..."
Knight trailed off as he tried to finish his sentence. Tsume on the other hand was loosing his patience. With a growl he turned on his heel and began to continue on his trial. The black wolf was about to say something, but the gray wolf turned and tilted his head toward the path he was about to take. Then without another word the alpha continued on his way. Knight was confused for a minute, but soon he realized that the alpha wanted him to follow him.
As the two wolves continued on their path. A breeze came over them and on the wind came a voice. Both wolves stopped and listened, as they closed their eyes, and concentrated on the sound, the message came to them.
"Tsume...Anyone...please help...hurry..."
The voice disappeared, and both wolves shared a look. With a nod both wolves ran at full speed along the rest of the river bank.

Toboe laid with Kiba. He sent his call to whoever was coming. He didn't get a response but none the less the message was sent. The pup whimpered softly as he listened to his friends breathing. From the sound of it, it didn't sound good. He then raised his head to glance at Zeal, but he didn't have to look long to realize the wolf was dead. His chest wasn't moving anymore, and the smell of death was beginning to set in.
"Kiba I really hope Tsume comes soon...I really do."
The white wolf whimpered softly as he heard his mates name. The pup glanced at his pack mate, and noticed that the wolf was trying lift his muzzle. Toboe decided to help his friend, so he placed his muzzle under Kiba's chin, and help lift the wolf's head up. Once that was done Kiba sniffed the air. The pup wondered what he was smelling, so he too began sniffing the air.
Both wolves concentrated on the smells. At first they could only smell the animals in the woods, the river, and the scent of death. But with one more inhale Toboe's eyes snapped open and his tail raised and began to wag it. He knew that scent, he wanted to go and see if he was right, but he turned his eyes back to the white wolf.
"K-Kiba...I promise I'll be right back I need to see if what we smelled is who I think it is."
Said wolf laid his head down and whimpered softly. The pup waited for a response, but after a few minutes he realized Kiba must have passed out. So without missing a beat he trotted up to where the scent came from. Once he arrived at the top of a little hill, he scanned the area for any sign of movement. At first nothing happened it was nothing but silence all around him.
"Where are you I know your here?"
Toboe said to himself as he continued to scan the area. He looked back at Kiba and saw that the wolf was still unconscious. The pup was getting nervous the white wolf needed help, time was running out. He growled lowly in his throat, if no one was coming he would find help himself. Toboe began to decent to the bottom of the hill, but stopped at the sound that came to his ears.
The young wolf scanned the area in front of him and listened close. Soon he heard the sound of paws hitting the earth. Toboe raised his tail once more and wagged it, he couldn't hold his excitement for too much longer. His eyes were locked to the little group of bushes that led to the woods. The foot falls came closer, the pup wasn't going to miss who came.
Suddenly two figures busted through the bushes. They stopped and shook the leaves and branches out of their coats. Both panting, they finally looked up the hill that was in front of them. Toboe's were wide, he couldn't believe who he saw. Tsume glanced at the wolf next to him and back to his pack mate, without a word he smirked to himself and trotted up the hill.
"Toboe...Where is Kiba...is he okay?"
The pup glanced at his alpha and slowly turned his head and pointed with his muzzle. The gray wolf followed the pups lead and saw where his mate was. Tsume's eyes went wide, he was shocked at the way his mate looked. So without another word he raced down the hill and rushed to his mate's side.

Toboe turned his eyes back to the wolf below him from his perch on the hill. Once he knew Kiba was in good hands, he locked eyes with blue eyes. He knew those eyes so well, Knight was here. But why was he here? He wasn't expecting to see him at all. The black wolf saw the shock on the pup's face, so he slowly made his way to the brown wolf.
Once the black wolf was a few feet away from the hill. He was suddenly tackled to the ground with an overly excited pup on top of him. Toboe couldn't control himself anymore, he licked and nuzzled Knight. The brown wolf was so happy to see him that he had tears in his eyes. Knight noticed the tears and lifted his muzzle to lick away the tears that fell.
The black wolf was happy to see him too. He nuzzled and licked the pup with the same amount of happiness. Toboe whimpered as he rested his head under Knight's chin and inhaled his scent. He didn't want to move. Knight licked Toboe's cheek to get his attention, and looked into those brown eyes. He began to get to his feet, as the pup reluctantly got off of his friend.
"Toboe...I am so happy to see your okay. I heard your howl and came to help. I ran into Tsume on the way, and we both ran all the way here. I couldn't wait to see you I really hoped you weren't hurt. I truly wouldn't know what to do if something happened to you. I...you...see..."
The pup stared at his friend. What was the black wolf trying to say? Did he really feel that way, he wasn't messing with him? Toboe continued to watch the young wolf trying to understand what the wolf was trying to say.
"Knight...
Toboe trailed off as he was suddenly overwhelmed with embarrassment. His cheeks flared and he turned his head to the side. His mind finally figured out what the wolf was trying to say. But it couldn't be true could it? He knew the wolf liked him but...not in that way right? Toboe was confused but at the same time he hoped what his friend said was really true.
"Toboe...please look at me I really need to tell you something."

Tsume trotted up to Kiba who was still laying next to the river. His eyes were closed and the alpha could hear the low breathing coming from his mate. Tsume laid next to the white wolf and nuzzled him to try to wake him up. At first he didn't get a response, but he kept at it until the wolf twitched. Soon Kiba slowly opened his eyes, though his vision was blurry, he could tell who was next to him.
"Kiba...its me...please can you hear me?"
Kiba slowly moved his head and nuzzled the alpha's shoulder. Tsume was surprised but worried as he didn't respond with words. The gray wolf smiled happily and nuzzled his mate's cheek. Kiba looked up at his mate and tried to speak, but his voice was so horse he couldn't say a word. Tsume whimpered as he watched Kiba try to speak but failing.
"Kiba...I'm so sorry I shouldn't have left you or Toboe. I know it was a bad thing to do, but I couldn't control myself. If I wouldn't have left you and the pup wouldn't be in the position that you're in. Please forgive me...please Kiba."
Tsume finished as he laid his head next to Kiba's and licked his face. The white wolf whimpered softly as his mate comforted him. He loved Tsume so much, that he couldn't stay mad at him. But he needed to have his say, but his voice didn't want to work yet.
The alpha finished licking Kiba and finally looked him over. He saw all the wounds that were all over his body. The once pure white fur was now covered in red patches. The gray wolf whimpered as he looked his mate over. He couldn't believe how much damage Kiba received, his blood started to boil from the anger he had for that silver wolf. Speaking of that bastard where was he?
"Kiba...I will be right back...are you going to be okay for a few?"
The white wolf nodded softly but let out a whimper just the same. Tsume licked his mate on the cheek, and began to walk back up the hill.

"Toboe...I really need to tell you something."
The pup turned his face to look at the wolf in front of him. He noticed the wolf was nervous and if he didn't know better, he could have sworn he saw a blush on the wolf's face. None the less he waited for his friend to speak. Knight took a deep breath and with a nervous voice he began to tell the pup what he needed to say.
"Toboe...you know your my friend. And I really enjoy your company, don't get me wrong. I enjoyed our time we had when you were at my pack's den. Of course when you and Zeal fought I was worried you wouldn't win. But you surprised us all with your victory."
The brown wolf sat down and turned his head to the side. What was Knight getting at? Why was he beating around the bush? He wished he would just say what he wanted to say. Toboe smiled at his friend as he tried to collect himself. So he decided to do something himself, he slowly rose to his feet and moved closer to the black wolf.
"Knight what are you trying to tell me?"
Said wolf was dumbfounded at the look the pup gave him. He couldn't help but get lost in those deep brown eyes. Toboe on the other hand just looked at him waiting for the wolf to continue. With a gulp of air Knight moved closer to the pup never leaving his eyes. The young wolves were so lost in each other eyes they didn't see a gray wolf coming toward them.
"TOBOE!"
Both wolves jumped away from each other and turned to see Tsume standing behind them. Toboe moved away from Knight and headed over to his alpha. Knight watched the pup walk away, he growled in frustration. Every time he wanted to tell Toboe how he felt Tsume would always interrupt them. But by god one of these days he will tell him how he feels, no matter what.
Toboe reached the gray wolf and waited for him to speak. Tsume glanced at Knight but only for a second, before returning to the pup. He saw the hurt in his eyes as he turned his eyes away from the black wolf. The alpha felt his heart twitch at the look, but he needed to get his pack home, then he could deal with the love-sick youngsters.
"Toboe I want you to tell me what happened to Kiba and why you have a wound on your neck?"
"After you took off after the wolf, Zeal came after me, Kiba engaged in a fight with the other wolf that came with Zeal. He hurt my neck, but I was able to break free after Kiba finished his fight by killing the wolf he fought with. Kiba was bleeding badly from his earlier fight, but when he heard me yelp...
Toboe trailed off. He didn't want to tell Tsume what happened because he still was freak out by how Kiba acted. But he had no choice as he saw the look Tsume gave him. So the pup took a breath and continued with his tale.
"When Kiba saw me in pain...something...something...snapped in him, because the next thing I know Zeal was thrown off me and went flying into a tree landing in the water. When I was able to gain my footing I looked at Kiba. But who I saw was not the Kiba I knew. He looked like a completely different wolf. He acted like he didn't know me. Tsume I never want to see that look again. So please tell me Kiba is back to normal."
Tsume took in the tale Toboe told him. Kiba snapped? He never seen that happen before, so what in the world made his mate act that way? But before he could think more about it, a yelp filled the air. Both wolves snapped their heads around to see Kiba trying to get up. Tsume dashed down the hill and stood next to his mate.
Toboe turned back to Knight who was heading in his direction. He heard the yelp and wanted to know what happened. The black wolf reached the pup and looked down at Kiba and Tsume. His eyes went wide when he saw the condition the white wolf was in. Knight glanced at Toboe and saw the sadness in his eyes. It hurt to see him like that, so he gently licked the pup's cheek and nuzzled his shoulder. The pup smiled softly as he whimpered while hiding his face in the black wolf's fur.
Tsume came to his mate's aid as he saw that one of Kiba's legs was broken. Tsume growled under his breath as he wished he could kill Zeal for hurting his mate. Kiba tried to take another step but he started to fall. Tsume placed himself against the white wolf as he caught him. There was no way Kiba could make it back home like this.
He looked around and finally saw a body laying in the water. The color of the fur stuck out, and the only wolf he knew that had color was none other than Zeal. So that's what happened, Kiba killed Zeal but he didn't leave the fight uninjured. Tsume smiled to himself happy that his mate finished the job, but mad because he received so many wounds. He turned away from the body and saw Toboe and Knight heading in his direction. Once both wolves were in front of him he told them what he wanted done.
"Toboe I want you to go back to the den. I'll be right behind you. I need to carry Kiba, he won't be able to make it back by himself."
"But Tsume I think it would be better to go back to Blue and-
Toboe was cut off by a deep growl from his alpha. The pup flinched at the look he received. Knight looked at the pup and wanted to comfort him, but with a look from the alpha made him stop.
"Toboe I told you we are going home I need to treat Kiba's wounds. He has lost too much blood already."
He then turned his attention the black wolf. He saw the worried look he shot at Toboe, and the look Toboe gave Knight. He sighed, man he couldn't stand it anymore. So with a regretful sigh, because he knew he would regret this later, he spoke to the black wolf.
"Knight for this one time I give you permission to enter my territory. You are to escort Toboe home. I will be following you but at a slower pace. Once you are at our den you are to make sure Toboe gets inside and rests."
Toboe and Knight looked at the alpha with wide eyes. Did Tsume just give permission for Knight to come back with them? Does that mean he finally accepted Knight as a friend? But either way Toboe was very happy. He wagged his tail and smiled at his alpha.
"Thank you Tsume I promise to follow your orders. Knight will make sure I get home safely."
"Yes Tsume sir I also promise to make sure Toboe gets home safely. I will also stay with him until you arrive."
Knight then bowed his head. Tsume just sighed as he shook his head. What in the world did he just agree to. But seeing how happy Toboe was, the gray wolf swallowed his pride and stuck with his decision. He knew if Kiba was awake he would be proud of him.
So with the plan made the four wolves started to head back to Tsume and Kiba's den. Tsume gently laid down on the ground and with the young wolves help, placed Kiba on the alpha's back. Once that task was done, Tsume rose to his feet and with a nod of the head, the four wolves headed home.
