Hello everyone. I have returned, here is the next chapter. I really hope you all enjoy this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it. So with out further delay. ON WITH THE STORY!
Chapter 14
Tsume, and the others arrived at Kiba's and Tsume's den at nightfall. Tsume went in first as he trotted up to the den. The alpha turned his head back to the two wolves behind him. He noticed how close those two seemed to be, he saw how happy Toboe was and it actually made the alpha happy for his pack mate. He watched as they talked to each other softly and saw how Toboe nuzzled up to Knight.
"Kiba you would enjoy to see how happy Toboe is."
Tsume said as he licked his mate's muzzle softly. He then sighed and continued into the den to place Kiba down. Once inside the gray wolf slowly moved out from underneath Kiba, and moved next to him. He looked over his mate and noticed the swelling that was appearing on the white wolf's leg. So with his decision made he began to try to splint the wolf's leg.
He looked around and saw some thick sticks, which he then placed on either side of Kiba's leg. Once that was done, Tsume looked around until he found some vines hanging outside the den. Tsume grabbed a few vines and trotted back into the den, he then proceeded to wrap Kiba's leg. The young alpha glanced at his mate as he pulled the vines tight around the white wolf's leg. Kiba released a yelp at the sudden pain, but soon calmed down.
"I'm sorry Kiba but I needed to do this."
Tsume said as he nuzzled Kiba's neck and licked his cheek in comfort. Said wolf whimpered in his sleep as he scented his mate. The alpha smiled sadly as he watched his mate sleep, he really hoped he would wake up soon. Once he was sure Kiba was relaxed Tsume moved onto the rest of the wounds. Which he noticed weren't as bad as his leg, but still bad.
So he gathered all the herbs he knew Kiba kept in case of an emergency. Then went to work on cleaning and dressing the wounds on the white wolf's body. After an hour or so went by Tsume finally finished fixing up his mate, of course through most of it Kiba yelped and whimpered, but he still was able to finish. Once he was sure everything was cleaned and covered, the gray wolf sighed and looked outside. He noticed the sun was up and that it was most likely time for breakfast.
"Kiba...I will be right back I'm just going to get some breakfast for us. So you can get your strength back. I'll leave Toboe with you in case you need anything. Also I'll have Knight come with me to help collect the food."
Tsume then rose to his feet licked and nuzzled his mate and trotted out of the den. He scanned the territory and saw Toboe was laying next to the black wolf next to the river. They must have slept outside last night. The gray alpha shook his head and decided to go and wake them up. When he was a few feet away from the young wolves he noticed that Knight had his head resting on top of Toboe's, and the pup had his face hidden in the black wolf's fur.
The alpha smiled to himself as he watched the two wolves. He really didn't want to wake them up, but he needed to get Kiba some food. So he took a couple of steps closer and softly nudged Knight in the shoulder. At the sudden touch Knight snapped his eyes opened and looked around. He growled softly under his breath as he scanned the area, he was ready for anything that wanted to attack them.
But when his eyes met a pair of dark gray, he stopped his growling at once, shot to his feet, planted his ears against his head, and tucked his tail between his legs. He gulped as he turned his eyes down and shifted away from Toboe. Tsume however watched this whole thing, and wanted to laugh but he held it in none the less. He just bent his head down and nipped at Toboe's ear. The pup yelped and opened his tired eyes to meet his alpha.
"Ts-Tsume? Morning."
Just then Toboe snapped to his feet and shook the sleep from his system. Once done he faced his alpha once more. At the corner of his eye he noticed Knight standing a few inches away from them. The pup inwardly sighed in relief, he thought the black wolf left but he was very happy that he didn't. Tsume growled lowly to try to get the brown wolf's attention.
"S-Sorry Tsume...how is Kiba doing?"
"He is resting right now. I have finished dressing his wounds and splinted his leg. I am heading out to find some food so he can start to heal."
"I'm happy he is resting so where are we going for breakfast?"
"You. Are not going."
Toboe tilted his head to the side. What in the world did he mean by that? If he didn't go then who would. Toboe was going to question his alpha, but he stopped himself as he watched Tsume approach Knight. From the way Knight was acting, Toboe thought he would be told to leave, but to the pup's amazement Tsume asked him something that Toboe thought he would never hear from him.
"Knight I want you to go with me on a hunt. I will need help gathering all the food. So if we want to find food. We need to head out now."
Tsume then trotted to the entrance to territory, and waited for the black wolf to follow him. But before he left the young wolves alone, he glanced at Toboe. He smirked at the looks he got from him. The look on his face was priceless, but he didn't have time to enjoy it, he needed to get Kiba some food.
"Toboe you are to stay here and keep an eye on Kiba. If anything happens just howl and I will be right back. Understood?"
"Y-Yes Tsume I promise."
"Good. Now Knight lets move out."
The gray wolf then trotted away and stood next to the entrance waiting. Knight watched the alpha leave and then turned his attention to the pup. Toboe turned his eyes to the black wolf and smiled at him. Knight smiled back at him and nuzzled his muzzle. Toboe returned the gesture, licked his cheek and took a step back.
"Good luck on the hunt. I hope you and Tsume return safely."
"Thanks...I will try to get as much food as I can."
The black wolf began to head out, but Toboe's voice stopped him. Knight turned his attention back to the wolf, but was suddenly pushed to the ground with the pup laying on top of him. Knight gasped as he tried to get his breath back. What in the world got into the pup? Was there something wrong?
"Toboe...what is it what's wrong?"
"N-Nothing...I just wanted to...tell...you something."
"What is it?"
"Knight...I...think...I...no...
Toboe trailed off as he blushed and turned his eyes away. Knight smiled and nuzzled the pup in comfort. The pup whimpered and nuzzled back before he gained his voice. He needed to say this, because if he didn't he wouldn't be able to face Knight. So with a smile and a deep breath he leaned down and captured the black wolf's lips in a passionate, and loving kiss. Knight was shocked. He was so shocked that he just let the pup finish.
Toboe lifted his head and locked eyes with the deep blue ones he loved. He smiled once more and rose to his feet. Knight had wide eyes as he too slowly rose to his feet. Toboe just kissed him, he was just kissed by the pup. He couldn't believe it but did that mean...
"I love you Knight..."
With that last word Toboe ran off up to the den, leaving a shocked Knight standing.

Tsume watched the scene. The alpha shook his head as he saw the reaction Knight gave the pup. Well then again it wouldn't be Toboe if it wasn't spontaneous. So Toboe finally said it, good for him. He was sure if Kiba was awake he would be jumping around and tackling him to the ground.
"Well Kiba looks like our pup is finally growing up."
Tsume said to himself as he watched the two young wolves. As much as this was fun to watch, they really needed to get food. So with a lift of his muzzle Tsume released a howl telling Knight he needed to move his ass. The black wolf jumped at the sound and stared at the alpha. Knight glanced at the retreating form of the pup, then turned tail and ran down to meet the alpha.
Once he met the alpha, both wolves ran out of the territory. Toboe turned his head to watch both wolves leave. He couldn't believe what he just did, and what was even worse, was that he didn't even give Knight time to respond. With a blush and a groan at how stupid he acted, he then turned and trotted up to the den to keep an eye on Kiba. When he arrived at the den Toboe saw Kiba laying with his back to him.
The pup was a little ify around his friend since he snapped, but he needed to check on him.
So with slow steps he approached the white wolf and looked him over. He saw that Tsume covered all the wounds very well and that the splint he placed on Kiba's leg was holding very well. He then decided to lay next to his friend, so if he needed something Toboe could get it for him. As a silence came over the two wolves, Toboe smiled to himself as he thought about a certain black wolf. But soon sleep over came him.
Once the pup was sleeping a movement next to the pup began. The white wolf began to stir, and when he opened his eyes, he couldn't recognize where he was. Kiba looked around and saw nothing familiar to him. Where was he? Why was he here?
"W-Where am I?"
Kiba asked himself as he tried to get to his feet, but a sudden shot of pain made him stop. He looked down and saw that his leg was in a splint, and that the rest of his body was covered in herb wraps. How in the world did he get these wounds? Who was the one that gave them to him? Suddenly he heard a noise near him, as his ears shot up and his hair on the back of his neck rose.
With a low growl from his throat he saw a body laying a few feet away from him. He watched the body closely, who was this person? The white wolf was at a lost for words, he needed to get out of here. So with his eyes locked on the body in front of him, he tried once more to move. But like before he was sent to the ground from all the pain.
"Ow...what the hell?"
Kiba said to himself as he painted. He tried once more but before he could, he noticed the body in front of him moving. His body tensed as the figure opened his eyes and looked right at him. The white wolf saw a pair of ears shoot up and a tail wagging. Did he know this wolf, or was it the one who acted him?
"Kiba your awake. Oh thank god, I thought you would never wake up. Wait until I tell Tsume when he comes back."
The wolf said as he moved closer to the white wolf. Said wolf stared at the young wolf as he moved closer. All the while trying to figure out who this wolf was, but with no answer, he did the only thing he knew. As the brown wolf took another step closer, the white wolf released a deep warning growl. The sound made the pup freeze in his tracks, and stared at his friend.
"K-Kiba? Are you okay?"
The white wolf continued to growl as he watched the wolf. Toboe was shocked, why was Kiba acting this way? Was he in pain? What in the world has gotten into his best friend? The brown pup looked at his friend and tried to take one more step.
"Kiba it's alright your safe here. I'm not going to do anything to you I promise."
Kiba continued to growl still not letting his eyes leave the wolf. When Toboe didn't get a response other than a growl, he began to worry. Did Kiba suffer some head trauma or something? He needed to figure this out so he tried to get closer but before he could take another step, a pair of jaws shot out and tried to bite him. The pup yelped in fright as he jumped back at the last second.
Kiba lifted his lips revealing his fangs. He had no idea who this wolf was, but he would not let him out of his sight. Toboe on the other hand moved away from him and whimpered. What was he going to do? He should go and get help but with Kiba the way he is, he wouldn't be able to leave.
"Kiba why are you acting like this? I am your friend. You live here with me and Tsume."
At the mention of Tsume's name, Toboe noticed a flinch. But the growling continued, so what in the world should he do? He needed to get Tsume back here, but he couldn't leave seeing as Kiba was kind of blocking the exit.

Tsume and Knight walked in silence as they searched for food.
The alpha was sniffing the air to try and find something to hunt, while Knight followed him but he was in his own world. He couldn't get his mind off Toboe, the pup actually confessed to him, he actually told him how he felt. The black wolf smiled to himself as he was so happy. But as the wolf thought to himself, he neglected to watch where and what he was doing.
Suddenly he wacked his head against something hard. With a loud yelp Knight fell back onto his back. He shook his head from the dizziness, and once that cleared he noticed he ran into a wall of earth. The black wolf looked up and saw it was pretty high, but at the same time he didn't see Tsume. Where was the alpha?
"Tsume sir where are you?"
A movement from above made him look up. Tsume trotted up and glared down at the confused wolf. Knight blushed at his embarrassment, how stupid could he be. He was known for his skills for tracking, and here he was walking around the woods like a love sick female.
"Now if your done acting like a moron. Would you get your ass up here so I can gather food for my pack sometime today?"
"Y-Y-Yes sir sorry."
"Don't be sorry just move your ass."
Knight nodded his head, and with a running start he jumped up and landed on top of the wall. Tsume just shook his head and began trotting ahead. With his head down Knight followed the alpha. As a silence formed between the two wolves, they continued on their mission to find food.
Soon they came upon a valley, that stretched out for miles. Both wolves lifted their noises and inhaled the smells. As a few minutes passed, Tsume's eyes snapped open. He smelled something heading their way. He glanced at the black wolf and nodded his head, Knight nodded back and began to get into position.
As time passed, the wolves watched as a group of animals started walking into the valley. They were a few yards away, but by their smell, the wolves figured out that they were in fact deer. Knight's mouth began to salivate at the animals, he couldn't wait to sink his fangs into their flesh. Tsume looked over at the young wolf and glared at him, so with a quick growl, Knight snapped out of it and focused on the task at hand.
"Alright when I give the signal I will go left along the border to the woods. So if they head that way I will send them towards you. Then you will do the same on the left for me, understand?"
"Yes sir."
"Good now lets get this done so I can go home."
Tsume then darted off to the right and Knight went left. Both wolves moved like silent shadows along the edges of the wolves. The deer walked in a group down the middle of the valley. Of course they were on alert at the same time, but seeing nothing yet they decided to begin eating. Once Tsume and Knight were in position, the alpha waited for the right moment to strike.
As nerve wreaking seconds ticked by, Tsume watched the deer closely. He needed to find the weakest animal to take down. Because if he didn't they would be here all day trying to take down a healther animal. Suddenly he found a doe that seemed to have a small limp, target acquired. With a movement of his head, both wolves shot out of their hiding spots.
The deer panicked and ran together down the valley. Both wolves flanked them on each side. When a deer would wonder away Tsume or Knight would nip at their heals. As this chance continued the alpha kept his eyes locked onto the female. She was beginning to show signs of fatigue, and began to slow down.
"Hn...just a little longer."
Tsume thought as he ran along the animals. He looked at Knight and saw he was in sink with his pace. The alpha smiled at the young wolf, looked like he wasn't the moron he thought the wolf was. Tsume then turned his attention back to the doe, and saw her finally slowing down and falling behind. Once he was sure the heard was well ahead of them, and the doe was close enough, he looked to knight and nodded his head.
Both wolves slowed their pace just a bit and were now on either side of the deer. Then with moves like lighting both wolves pounced onto the deer and pulled it to the ground. Tsume sunk his fangs into the throat, while Knight sank his fangs into the deer's shoulder. Once the animal was down Knight slowly released his fangs, and watched as Tsume finished the deer off with a snap of the neck.
The gray wolf lifted his muzzle that was bright red. He licked his lips, savoring the taste of the deer's blood. Knight licked his lips free of the blood, but kept his distance. Even though they both took the deer down, Tsume was the one to finish it off. The alpha sighed he was happy that they finally found food, now they could go back and feed Kiba.
"Alright now lets get back. Kiba needs to eat and soon. I want you to help me carry this home."
"Yes sir."
Knight then walked around the deer. Both wolves then began pulling it apart, and placing pieces aside. Once that was done Knight picked up as much as he could, while Tsume picked up the rest. When the alpha was sure they had as much as they could carry, both wolves headed back to the den. As the wolves traveled back, Tsume kept to himself as he was getting lost in his thoughts.
"I'm on my way Kiba. I promise not to take to long."
With that final thought the alpha picked up his pace, and with Knight following behind, they both headed back to the den. But unfortunately what was waiting for them back home, was something neither of them were quite ready for.
Yes, I know another cliff hanger. But it just seemed to need one...again. LOL! Well Please Read and Review. I shall all see you next time.
